Old Orchard Medical Clinic

They routinely deny letting me speak to a doctor even though I’ve already established care at this clinic. The receptionist was ableist to me and I will be submitting a complaint with the college for this clinic on the grounds of discrimination. If you are disabled, avoid this clinic at all costs.

My mom and I have been seeing Dr. Eichhorst for years. He has been efficient and diligent, always listening to every one of our concerns and giving his best advice. I'm very grateful to have him as my family doctor:)

I was worried about my poor English before I visited here.
But Dr. Xiao Yuan who I met explaned all her words through a translation.
I was so grateful.
Her skills and explanations were also the best.
The waiting time was less than 20 minutes.
Everyone who worked there, including the doctor, was kind.
If I get hurt next time, I will definitely visit here again.

Dr. Eichhorst is an excellent doctor! He always digs just a little bit deeper to find out the end all results and resolutions through medical tests and referrals to specialists. He has saved me from prolonged illness, a very good doctor. Great staff too!

I've tried calling at least 5-10 different days, multiple times, they never answer the phone anymore. They misdiagnosed someone I know who ended up having cancer. They also downplayed my symptoms and when I called the 811 line the nurse told me to seek urgent medical care as I was long overdue. Occasionally the doctors are friendly.

Rude and unprofessional receptionists that will give a wrong phone number to the doctors and blame it on you for not getting a phone call from the doctor. Avoid this clinic don't waste your time here.

I usually leave great reviews but it was a really bad experience here! I booked a phone appointment and they said the doctor will call me but I didn’t get any call from them!

I had my Botox injection and i am very happy with the results. The clinic is very clean and staff are very polite and lovely.

Since I have found a family doctor now (at a different office), I will give you all some tips! I've been coming here for years. The best doctor at this location is Dr. Bryant. He's kind and straight to the point. Very knowledgable and thorough. Dr. Ticea is okay if Dr. Bryant not available, but she can be rude at times if you're sensitive. Not sure about the rest. They have phone appointments which is so convenient, but sometimes it can take a week or so at times for the next available opening (with Dr. Bryant atvleast). You can only talk about 1 problem during an appointment, so book accordingly; they'll subtly let you know they're too busy if you try to talk about something else that could be a separate appointment. Now about the receptionists everyone is complaining about in these reviews: All of them except 1 are so kind and caring. They are so busy all the time but make an effort to let you know you are valued. They are so kind over the phone as well, one time, one of them urged me to book an appointment in the same call because of how busy this clinic is when I said I would do it later, I appreciated that. The one rude one I've talked to the on phone like twice is rude, but it is what it is. I've received good service here over the past couple of years I have needed to see a doctor, thank you Old Orchard Medical Clinic!

The doctor was very nice. But he said he would fax over my prescription and my pharmacy never received it. Could be a fax thing I guess but not a good experience I had to go to another clinic and got the prescription from them.

Excellent service and lovely staff. I entered this clinic by chance more than twenty years ago and I didn't even know how lucky I was. Old Orchard Medical Clinic is efficient and well run and cannot be compared with others. I always have the best experience and the way that the clinic has been managed during the pandemic has been brilliant. All doctors are highly knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy. The entire staff is wonderful. I would recommend Dr. Frame, Dr. Eichhorst, and their other colleagues to anyone seeking a kind, compassionate, and brilliant doctor!

Had phone appointment for injury, doctor phoned 2 mins early with blocked number and ring once hung up left voice mail to reschedule. Phoned clinic at the appointment time let them know to ask doctor to call again, clinic staff laughed said will try let doctor know but it’s not urgent or you’ll be going to hospital. It’s appropriate to laugh or joke at those situation. This is prob the worst healthcare staff or clinic. Insensitive. Also Socorro never phoned back.

Having reached my 70's, my body seems to be breaking down! One complication after another, some serious - some more trivial. At a time when everyone seems so dissatisfied with our healthcare system I have experienced nothing but professionalism, empathy and positive caring. Old Orchard Medical Clinic has been the basis of this. I adore Dr. Ticea - she goes above and beyond to help me. And the medical support team is exemplary. I can't say how much I appreciate the kindness and efficiency of all of you.

I recently had to visit Old Orchard Medical Clinic during the holiday season and was pleased with my experience. Despite it being a busy time, I was able to book a phone call with Dr. M. Cremona Ticea, who was very kind and attentive. She quickly diagnosed my problem and sent my prescriptions and requisitions via email shortly after our call. She followed up with me twice more to check on my lab results and the progress of my treatment. I was impressed with the level of care and attention I received and would highly recommend Old Orchard Medical Clinic and Dr. Ticea to others.

1st time was when my eyes started suddenly felt like it was on fire. I couldn't open it to see so luckily my friend was there to help me. Tears were running down my face like waterfall in public. Once it stopped, I went to this walk in clinic as it was close to my house. All he said was your eyes are fine and just use eyedrops if anything.and asked why I didn't come in sooner if it hurt? My response was because I couldn't see.

2nd time was when my hand was in pain and my friend said to go get it checked as it could be broken. I went to check after a week of pain and he said it will heal in about another week. I mentioned it could be broken and he said "I'm a doctor, it is not broken". So I believed him but my friend insisted to take me to another doctor right after whom sent me to get an xray. Normally you get your results sent to your family doctor but the man instantly came out and told me that I fractured 3 bones in my hand and must go straight to the emergency.
Unfortunately both times have been awful.

As someone said last resort clinic.trust me, that's a very nice title to comparing what a dump this clinic is.avoid at all cost or sit all day on the phone and hope a miracle happens for them to answer the phone.and when they do, oh boy.

I am writing this review on behalf of my friend, because she is not well right now. I was with her while she was on the phone with Old Orchard Medical today in December 2end. I was so shocked by the level of unprofessionalism, lack of empathy, rudeness, and extreme lack of communication skills from a Medical Clinic that their clients are ppl who are in pain and suffering somehow. People seek medical help because they are in distress and the medical staff aren’t supposed to further aggravate and abuse the patients. My friend was told by her family doctor that her form will be ready for pick up 3 weeks ago, when she called 3 weeks ago the staff very rudely and abruptly said they don’t know anything about that form. So, she made another appointment to talk directly to the doctor again. The doctor said that the form will be ready on Friday for pick up. She called again On Friday at least 5 times till they finally picked up the phone and the receptionist told her rudely that she had no idea about the form. My friend’s tone got upset naturally, she wasn’t rude she wasn’t screaming or impolite just very upset. The receptionist told my friend in a rude and dismissive tone to calm down, my friend responded I can’t calm down when I am upset. And I agree, that’s a dismissive term and policing someone’s tone when they are upset, instead of listening and rectifying the situation. The receptionist was commanding my friend that should calm down. Then the receptionist told my friend stop screaming and I was there, she wasn’t screaming, and told the receptionist I am not screaming, the receptionist said yes you are. At this point my friend started screaming and told her, now I am screaming and that’s what screaming is, I wasn't screaming then and you are lying. My friend asked to talk to the manager and the girls was telling the manager that my friend is rude and screaming, the manger came on the phone and immediately dismissed my friend’s concerns and blamed her and called her abusive, whereas it was the other way around they pushed her and pocked her till she finally broke down. Then they called her back and said the doctor sent you a message and you can listen to it, my friend said okay, but the receptionist said but you are rude to us and we don't let you listen to his message and the receptionist hung up. Now that is what I call abuse, uprofessionalism and trying to destroy patients. My friend has been seeing this doctor for 11 years, they are aware that she is going through extremely rough time, yet they pushed her to the point of melt down. I am with her right now because I am worried about her health going down because of what she had to deal with today with the so-called medical staff. I will try to persuade her to file a compliant about this office.

Usually I’m writing good reviews but not being able to get antibiotics while sick is no fun.

Reasons listed below …

1) communication with front office is bad
2) Said they faxed over my prescription had me wait 6 hours to get nothing
3) Call them next day to get right prescription faxed over, said they did ——Call me back to say that pharmacy they faxed over for prescription didn’t carry dosage what they requested
4) Front office couldn’t get a hold of new doctor that prescribed wrong prescription even though called at 10: 30am and they closed at 2pm
5) Doctor told me to get swab done at shoppers pharmacy, went on 3rd trip to go get it and shoppers said didn’t do there, had to go in person to do it at clinic from doctor …

Very bad doctor, very irresponsible.never go again. I hope everyone chooses a good doctor instead of going to this one.

When many other clinics wouldn't help me or couldn't help me this place did thank you maybe feel a lot better.

They aren't committed to helping and give you phone consultations for less than five minutes. I told Dr. Ticia that I had sharp pain, and she refused too many times to check me, just sent me for a urine test and never gave a call back to tell me the results. I better have to go to a different clinic.

My daughter was having a medical emergency inside the clinic. She was having an allergic reaction. They did not help, they did not call an ambulance. I wasn’t with her, so I called an ambulance to take her to the hospital. I will report them to the medical board.

Just moved here from AB and have been struggling to find a GP who can follow my care. The receptionists are SO helpful and friendly. Dr. Ticea was also very personable and quick to respond.

Very disappointing.

Had a telehealth consult at 2: 45, DR was ahead of schedule and called 15 minutes early (I missed the phone call) - I returned their call at 2: 47 and was informed by the nurse/receptionist, that he would call back shortly. Never received a call back, waited by my phone diligently for over an hour. Followed up with the clinic and called at 3: 50 only to reach VM stating clinic is now closed. Based on this experience alone would not recommend this clinic to anyone - Off to the ER!

Evening receptionist has no patient care at all. She is very rude over the phone and seems like she wants to argue.

Disgusting receptionist.she cancelled my appointment and said I couldn't book there anymore after I reciprocated the same attitude she was giving me for no reason.so sad to see this receptionist abuse the little power she has in her life and deny me from seeing a medical doctor because her feelings were hurt

Very RUDE and unprofessional staff, I wouldn't recommend ANYONE going there. Especially the person they call " EVA". If she picks up the phone, you might as well hang up the phone, you will waste your time and energy. Very disrespectful! Avoid by all means possible. Just read the previous reviews!

Mindy is the Best Receptionist in that clinic. I have been going to the clinic for 25 years but by the far she is most professional and has helped me out in every inquiry that I had. Thank you for being Amazing.

Just received a follow up call from the receptionist. Really compassionate and caring. She was wonderful. The call i initiated started early in afternoon. And she kept me in touch until 6 pm. Thanks

Encountered a really rude receptionist who consistently blamed me for not updating my information. Side note, all of my information is there, they just didn't care to ask me which phone number to call during a phone call appointment.

Have been here once reception not friendly at all waiting times are too long with all the patients waiting if there is a 0 star i would rate it

Dr Henry refused to write me a requisition that I wanted to pay for privately. It was clear she was stubborn and hard hearted. I am 4 months pregnant and have Hashimoto's and wanted to check my T3 and T4 (I was fine to pay for it privately) and she refused, based on her training. It is within my right to have blood work done and pay for it privately and she would not provide me with a requisition for this

My family have been patients of Dr Frame at Old Orchard Medical Clinic for more than 15 years and we could never feel more confident in any other doctor. Mindy keeps it humming!

I cannot believe the rating is so low for this clinic, I have visited for years and never had a bad experience. The front desk staff is kind and helpful, and I haven't had a bad or moody doctor there.

For the most part I have had Dr Ticea looking after me and my family and she is great. She is professional, courteous and if required promptly orders tests (as opposed to some other doctors I have had in the past that try to guess what's wrong and then try some medication.) She is also really prompt, the results (if significant) are always relayed the next day. In one instance, after an ultrasound, I got a phone call from her on my walk to the parking lot and she had arranged for me to go to the hospital immediately.

From some of the reviews I'm guessing some people don't understand that a walk-in clinic means you might have to wait a couple of minutes and usually those people come in at busy times. If you come at a reasonable time you get a reasonable wait time, just like any other medical service. And occasionally people are a little stressed/pressured, that also includes doctors. I think some reviews are from people who had 1 bad instance and then judge the whole facility based on one thing they did not like, which is unfair.

I wish there was an option to give negative - 1 star. First they make you wait for so long, they have so many doctors who just Roam here and there. Once u get in there they charge you Bloody high price for just seeing the doctor and then the doctor just rushes you. So for 135 cad u just get 2 minutes and then they don't even explain things properly. Worst of the worst place this is, unprofessional staff and doctors, looters and scammers. Never ever go there, these people just extort money from you

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. If you are First Nation's please save yourself the anger and do not go here. They "dont deal with anything that has to do with First Nation's" as per one of their receptionists. I was denied care and told I would have to pay a large fee to see the doctor. I have never had any sort of issues with this ever in the past, I've always been covered 100% under First Nation's health, it is linked to my MSP.
I never got to see the doctor so I can not speak to their service.

Took my baby for a check up, 2 days fever with cough and colds, plus she’s teething so she’s really having a bad day. The doctor looked at her ears and listened to her lungs, after she said she only have colds (did not give any prescription!) when we went home i saw my baby’s left ear had a discharge and pus! How could she missed that? ! I don’t know if she deserves a license for being a doctor, wordt service ever!

Front desk staff was great!
I ask Dr. Chung for my test results. He said he would only deliver them I had opted into the new online result delivery and I could pull up the results myself on my phone.
I drove to a different Walk-In clinic 5 minutes away, and they immediately offered to call and get my results for me (standard procedure).
I'm disappointed to know that the doctor at old orchard will receive payment for my visit and he didn't do anything, was in the room with him for less than 2 minutes. One might wonder if that's why their wait times are so low comparatively.

They don't deserved even the one star. Very unprofessional stuff. I have visited the clinic on October-07 For my baby. They said the wait time is one hour when I came back after an hour the front desk was so rude and said you have to wait for one more hour. I lift the clinic without seeing the doctor.

I went to this clinic for the first time. I have a serious pre-existing brain injury and was in a car accident, but am also suffering from strep throat. Not only did dr. T not see any blisters (that are completely covering my tonsils, and many other people have agreed) but she refused to do any check up from my car accident and told me to come back tomorrow. Absolutely horrific.
