Awesome. Recommended by friend and I recommend to you. Ordered bibimbop with ribeye steak. Amazing. Lots of ingredients. Honestly if you got a side of rice you could feed two people. Servers were great. They work as a team to serve everyone. Great location. Give it a try.

Good place to hang out with friends. The patio is popular and harder to get a table there but we enjoyed being inside

I was traveling to the island and thought to have a quick lunch over here, the ambiance was just right and got to learn about a new service style! Where you can grab your servers attention by a device on your table.
Beer selections were pretty good.

There are too many flies while eating,
Looks like something needs to be done. It was very annoying throughout the meal. ㅠㅠ

We stopped in at Olive & Anchor on our way up to Squamish, and we’re so glad we did! I ordered their fish and chips special, it was amazing! My husband ordered the Bibimbap with steak and it was delicious! Great service and would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

My kid and I stopped here to have a bite to eat while waiting for our ferry. The cod and chips was perfect. Being away from home can be stressful and my teen just wanted a comfort meal like home. Thankful for the staff’s willingness to fry a couple eggs with a side of cucumber. We hope to be back!

Relaxing before the ferry and this was perfect. Food was good. Espresso martini was the best. Service excellent. All in all. I will be back.

I didn't get to take pictures because my phone was dead but they were able to charge it for me which was nice. I ended up getting the chicken pot pie and it was THE most DELICIOUS pot pie I've ever had! I definitely recommend trying it! My partner got the halibut and it was pretty tasty. The environment was very nice, it felt calming being there

Delicious food in a lovely harbour side location. A lot of interesting flavours and dish combination. I'd recommend sharing so you can try more dishes!

Really good! We had their fish taco and oyster burger, both are really really delicious! My kids really enjoyed their chicken meal as well!

By far the best fish and chips I have ever had. Great service, food and ambiance. Amazing.

Don’t order top shelf liquor as it’s their policy to serve it shaken. Got 3 shots of patron and was half water. When we complained they said was a miscommunication, all patron must be shaken but can bring out a Jose curevo not shaken.
So we ended up paying $39 for 3 SHAKEN patron shots that MAYBE had 1.5 ounces in it.
On a side note- the food was good

Terrible experience. The food was pretty good but the wait staff was belligerent, rude and made fun of my wife within earshot of our table. We left abruptly, with my wife in tears. Thanks a lot.

Very expensive for the quality of food you get. Over-fried and super dry chicken in the crispy chicken burger. Super hard bacon, couldn't even bite through some pieces. Service was not good too, waited a long time for the server to come to take order. Never returned to refilled water unless you hunt her down and ask for it. Bill was even slower. Had to ask another server because we couldn't find her. Very disappointed ️

We came for dinner on a Tuesday and enjoyed the food and the airy relaxed vibe of their dining room. I had the fish tacos with green salad. It was excellent. Everyone in our party of six loved their food. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Horseshoe Bay town is small but has beautiful views.

Definitely not 4.4 stars.should be closer to 3.6 for the quality, service etc. It's a pub with a good location. Expensive to just ok food.

I went with my family when it was dead and they were apprehensive about pushing 2 tables together to a come date. Despite having a reservation. Food took awhile and was bland.

Went there with my wife and I had the fish and chips which were tasty she had the Bacon Scallops and Linguine. She said the scallops were fishy tasting and too much Spinach in the sauce making a dinner disappointment. We felt rushed because of all the reservations and got told we had to done by 5: 00pm. My thought it's a bit pricey!

Amazing food, wonderful staff and an great vibe. Rick and Lisa treat their customers like family and make sure they are well looked after. Highly recommended!

Food was amazing, service was great, mood is fantastic, and most importantly, their bread pudding is one of the best in Vancouver!

Controversial opinion: They have the best sweet potato fries in the lower mainland.

Just plain facts: Their chicken burger is absolute fire and they have a takeout window so you can have chicken burger on the go!

I ordered salmon flat bread and it was a big disappointment. Cuz flat bread was really burnt and the bottom was almost black, like sooooo bitter. So I told waitress but she was just chuckling without any proper reaction.
Ended up paying too much for the value of the food. I wouldn't go back there again!

Decent sized salads, my fish and chips were served warm instead of hot, limited food choices off the menu, not a lot of allergy free choices for our son.

Wow! What an experience! My husband and I went here for our anniversary and it was amazing! I have now tasted the best steamed clams I have ever had! Crazy balance of flavors, I literally wanted to drink the rest of the sauce when I was done the clams! The crème Brule was soooo heavenly and the service was spectacular! They even surprised us with this at the end of our meal. Thank you for a lovely evening Olive & Anchor!

The food was amazing. Flavour of the starters and entrees was beautiful! The service was really great! They were courteous and helpful from walking in the door to the server knowing his stuff. Definitely recommend!

Excellenc ambiance. Service was exceptional, given that we were in a rush. Table seating anywhere works out great. Cool buzzers at each table!

We stopped here when our ferry trip went sideways and I was so pleased with the service. Me and my 6 month old son were treated so well it was amazing. Most places turn there nose up with babies but they were so accomodating. And of course the food was incredible! Will definitely be returning!

I ordered the cod and chips and got coleslaw on the side yesterday. After a couple of bites of the coleslaw, I realized there was something off about it. I think it was probably expired. I came home with symptoms of what seems to be food poisoning. Extremely disappointed, as I really enjoyed coming here. On top of that, I was treating a friend who was visiting out of town. Very disappointing.

Great spot. Dog friendly. They welcomed us and our miniature dachshund to the back patio. The patio is well done. Perfect spot. We ordered the halibut and chips and the cod and chips. Both meals were great. Take a drive out to Horse Shoe Bay with your hound and enjoy first rate fish and chips.

This is a lovely place to go regardless of if you are waiting for a ferry or are simply in the area. With great food and excellent service, it's a no brainer if you are around.

Wish we had the opportunity to give more stars.
My wife and I were craving some deep fried oysters and so we approached the take out window and asked if it was possible to just get 2 oysters (no bun, etc). The two people standing at the window both said "no, that's not possible"
Huh? So, wait.you can order an Oyster tempura burger for $18.but you can't get just the deep fried oysters? We would have paid full price for the oysters, but unfortunately the employees were unwilling to offer this.

We left without ordering anything. Lost business, Olive and Anchor

Our group, two old and two young, had our first in-restaurant dining in a while after returning to Olive & Anchor. We shared Pork & Shrimp Gyoza and agreed these rated A+. KFC chicken wings were savoury without hot spice, but too sweet. The soy-sesame dressing on my fine Albacore tuna salad should be bottled and sold as takeout. Wife's tempura-battered cod was fresh and delicate—far superior to products served by some places where textures and tastes can be described as mush and aged grease. Our two young guests would have liked a wider selection of pasta but they enjoyed the shared dishes. Deserts were a major hit. They included Apricot Almond Brown Butter Tart, brandy-raisin bread pudding, and chocolate molten cake. All excellent. We have never been disappointed by food or service at Olive & Anchor.

Great spot in Horseshoe Bay "village"! Stopped for a late lunch bite/drinks and we are glad we chose the Olive & Anchor.

The service was welcoming, friendly and great. The seating outside under the tented canopy was a perfect combination of sun, fresh air and openness. I enjoyed the cold Coronas while my guest loved her perfectly chilled Sparkling Rose. We ordered the fish tacos which came promptly and were hot and delicious.

Pricing was inline with other similar place pricing and I feel was very good value. Again the service was very good and we'll be sure to go again. Highly recommend it!

We had a great experience dining here. From the location to the food (we had albacore tuna salad and beef thai curry), the service, cleanliness, and COVID-19 precautions, everything was great. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Cosy English Pub feeling. Friendly Personnel and good tasty food at a reasonable cost. Only negative is Limited Parking on the Street outside for those with Disabilities.

Such a great spot in Horseshoe Bay for a good meal and lovely ambiance. The food is good but not outstanding, hence why the four stars. I feel like with a little sprucing up of the menu they could really knock it out of the park! Salads are overpriced for what you get, but the flatbread is fantastic and so is the calamari.

Love the food and the views at this great little spot in the bay. I go every chance I get.

That is the one downside, however. They're never open. Everyone knows that food in Vancouver after 9 is a myth, but at Olive and Anchor the 8.30pm close seems just spiteful. They're not open Sundays. So pretty much scratch brunch (even though the brunch is amazing). And that morning food of Saturday legend? Not available any other day. At all. So basically in terms of how much this restaurant seems to want me to visit, I'd say it's 'not much'.

But I wish it was more.

Good food, salmon flatbread is great! Try Anchor burger too - won't regret it! View of the bay is ok if you seat on the patio. Staff was friendly, service was fast (but we came at around 2 pm - so lunch was almost done, not the busiest time for sure).
1 star off for the washrooms, could be a bit cleaner. For the rest it is great place.

A bit far but the food and environment are wonderful, nice for family gathering! Enjoyed the time there and the servers are really nice! Highly recommended!

Came in early Saturday morning after a photoshoot and decided to stop by the area for brunch where we found this place.

Walking into the restaurant we were surprised on how quaint and neat the interior was - it set out a good vibe accompanying the priceless view out to Horseshoe Bay.

The brunch menu was pretty simple, and I think it was reflected in the quality of the food that we ordered. I had the West Coast Benny, which was served on what I believe to be a gluten-free croissant with some avocado and salmon which was an interesting mix to a traditional eggs Benedict. It was quite tasteful and came with a few slices of fruit that were so good that we had to order more on the side.

Walking by this restaurant one would think the menu could be pricy but dishes are priced like a standard cafe which was very unexpected. The waitresses were great and kept checking in on us, not just asking how our food was but genuinely conversing with us. Overall the service and experience was really great.

Delicious food and friendly service! We got the clam chowder, fresh oysters, crispy cod tacos, and the albacore tuna salad. Everything was so fresh and tasty! The cod tacos were absolutely perfect.super light and crispy cod with a thin tortilla. The salad was unbelievable! Super tender tuna with such vibrant and fresh flavors. We enjoyed our meal very much and would highly recommend coming here.

Went for take out and it was terrific. Batter was tasty and light and the yam fries were crisp and perfectly season. Order took 5 minutes on a Saturday at dinner time. Outside patio is a good spot to hitch up your bikes after a ride and enjoy a a bite.

The atmosphere was great, and the staff were very friendly. Getting the Cod Fish and Chips was a fantastic decision-it was fresh and light and perfect.

Such a great restaurant! Service is super fast and all the staff are helpful and nice. I've never had food come out so quickly in a quality restaurant before, great job. Prices are on the high end but the food is really good. Also a lovely atmosphere, definitely recommend!

The feel of the dining floor was cozy yet open, the food was delicious (I had the daily soup cauliflower cheese and truffle oil) and would happily go back again

We have been here twice now and would recommend it to everyone. The main courses are great, and I would suggest trying the the deserts too. This is a great experience if you love seafood!

Juste de passage à Horseshoe bay, nous avons choisi ce restaurant et ce fut un excellent choix, personnels très sympathiques, service rapide et pour ce qu’on a goûté délicieux: Fish and chips très copieux et très bon ainsi que le « Wild BC sockeye smoked salmon flatbread », une sorte de pain à pizza avec du saumon de la salade.et pour finir mon préféré les linguines Pescatore « delicious », si vous aimez les pâtes avec une sauces tomates avec crevettes et moules le tout légèrement piquant. Le seul bémol c’est concernant le sol qui collait sous les chaussures

Visited on a weekend when a ferry was cancelled. Every restaurant in the village was packed and the staff at Olive & Anchor were fantastic and attentive even with the added rush. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Coffees and waters were always refilled. I was impressed.
