Olivo Cafe & Eatery

I discovered Olivio Cafe by chance because I walk my dog along the Fraser River. Excellent coffee! Now I only go here for my latte (so long Starbucks). Excellent breakfasts - they have everything from pastries to chilaquiles. Came back at lunch for the Birria Tacos - delicious! Then I brought a friend, who ordered the Birria Ramen - she loved it. Would bring friends here for chill, yummy breakfast or lunch anytime. Quiet location; I can have my dog on the patio. Bright, artsy interior. A hidden gem!

Tiny hole in the wall cafe serving mexican fare in an industrial area. Yummy, clean, definitely will be back. The grande chalaquiles was delicious. The hot sauce served with the birria tacos was creamy and nice.

As a Mexica, this place is amazing. The food is delicious, the staff are really friendly. Once, I've ordered from Uber eats, the chilaquiles and quesadilla with chicken. On a different time, I went to have breakfast in the restaurant and I had enchiladas and molletes. Today on the day of the dead, we went to have some dinner and it's always delightful to come here. This time we ordered some birria ramen and pork carnitas tacos. They had a beautiful decoration about this Mexican holiday, even live music, also, they were selling pan de muerto (really typical in Mexico only for this day). There was a buffet all you can eat for $60 due to the holiday. If you are a Mexican living here in Vancouver, and if you are missing our fantastic food, this is "the place" you need to visit, no question about it!

Very friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and very tasty food. Food is served hot and it is very fresh with good flavors. The latte was quite good.

Love this relaxed quaint cafe in the midst of an industrial area. Been here a few times over the last year and have never been disappointed. A nice mix of traditional western brunch options with Mexican fare.

Also love this place because it’s family friendly. I’m able to bring my 18mo old niece here and let her roam around if she needs without feeling too bad. It’s comfortable and eclectic. Cafe style where you order at the counter and then find yourself a table (not full service).

I recommend anything off their menu!

The food was pretty good. The latte was a bit too sweet but can adjust next time! Went sun parents and they are give it thumbs up. 3 breakfast, 3 drinks = $70 all in.

The churros were very good, high quality. I wish I could eat 100. The sauce was delicious. The tacos were great. Nice ingredients and flavor. Tasted pretty fresh. I would like to try other items too. Higher quality than other restaurants

Cute little spot in an industrial area. We discovered it through delivery apps as it was close and open pretty late. Finally went for brunch, and it was good! Their tacos are also quite good.

A hidden gem tucked away in the commercial units off marine way. Mexican-Canadian influenced brunch, lunch, dinner menu. I’m a little concerned in writing this that the next time I’ll return it’s going to get scooped up by IG or TikTok and I won’t be able to enjoy. All the best to the amazing staff and owners. I know success is coming their way.

Cute spot hidden in the industrial area. Portions are on the small side but very yummy. We ordered birria tacos, fruit loop croffle, and a quesedilla along with a coffee and an interesting yummy beetroot latte. I ordered a birria tacos to go but unfortunately they forgot to include the dip: (Sad.

I’ve ordered food twice from here now. Each time, it was equally as disappointing (from a vegetarians perspective). I’m not a big eater at all but the portion size considering the cost was not worth it. Food tasted bland with some “spice”. Chips in the avocado chilaquiles were soggy and the vegetarian breakfast burrito was underwhelming. I also had specifically asked for non dairy milk in my coffee and it came with regular milk. Perhaps their meat options are better but as a Latin American vegetarian, I would not recommend.

Nice staff, I got the hash bowl, it was on tater tots. It was super good, the green sauce and the hot sauce were excellent. My partner had the 4 tacos and said they were all great. Didn’t have the fish taco though. Location is weird but inside is nice

Very disappointed with the portions. Ordered 4 tacos and a quesadilla thinking I would have leftovers for lunch tomorrow since that has worked for me at other taco places. The size/portion was literally half of what some of the photos from other reviews showed. I ordered through a delivery app, so I am not sure if they give better portions if you dine in.

The quality was also pretty disappointing and looked nothing like other reviews. The tacos were ok but each one was two regular sized bites. The quesadilla honestly looked like something from a cafeteria. No disrespect but it was brutal.

Birria Ramen and Tacos were pretty disappointing. Tasted like instant noodles in watered down broth with dry unflavorful meat. The other tacos were slightly better but just okay.

Soo delicious, this place is the example that simple is better! Quick service, great quality of food, , inexpensive, and friendly staff
Hands down one of the best tacos place in Vancouver.
