Its a slimey dealership that tries to squeeze every last time out of you. Sale people will lie through their teeth while they grin at you about markups and additional fees. The managers don't seem to have any social skills when I spoke to one I wasn't even greeted with a "hello" or anything just simply "So whats it going to take for you to drive this car home today? ". Feels like they are not human just money hungry robots.

I went in for a recall and was helped by Kyle at the reception desk. He was very helpful and explained everything that would be happening. He was very professional and friendly and helped me with the process of getting a new key and fob which I desperately need. Overall was a great experience, and my service was done even earlier than the time estimate which was amazing! Appreciate the help.

I placed an order for an Ioniq 5 on January 2022 and the car is set to arrive 1 year and 8 months later. Upon examining the paperwork, I noticed a "dealership preparation package" added in the options section for $3000. It is basically a list of things such as full tank of gas (in this case $20 worth of electricity), wheel locks, detailing, key fob battery replacements for 3 years.

After some negotiation the sales rep agreed to reduce the amount to $1000. Having waited almost 2 years for this car, I signed the paperwork but I left not being completely satisfied.

Be aware of this $3000 dealership "fee" as well as their $595 documentation fee which is $100 more than another dealership down the road.

Stay as far away from HYUNDAI cars as possible. I recently took my car for a serious issue (engine throttling) & the diagnostics run a "P132600" report saying manufacturer recall for "engine replacement". It can be a huge safety issue if I run my car on a highway while my accelerator does not even work properly. I called up Hyundai and they gave me an appointment multiple weeks out without even offering another vehicle. I mentioned this is a safety issue and hence should be prioritized - but they don't understand simple things at "Hyundai". I wont ever advice buying a Hyundai

Mixed feelings on this dealership, here's why:

The service department has been great in servicing our car. The person I dealt with went out of their way to check on a specific issue and discuss it with me. I really appreciated that.

However trying to buy a car has been a different experience. Some sales reps have been great, others seem like it's a hassle to even give a quote. Put a deposit down to get on a Kona EV waiting list only to find out that new cars are being offered to people who can bypass the waiting list by paying extra. So putting a deposit down effectively does nothing. I had no trouble getting my deposit fully refunded but this whole process lacks transparency between corporate and the dealers. Being stuck in the middle I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes.

Was having problems setting up my Bluelink account for my Hyundai Kona electric. Being a senior, we decided we needed help with the set up and stopped by the Hyundai dealer at 2395 Boundary Road. Jackie was more than happy to assist us even though I did not have an appointment. Apparently I had set up an account but unknowingly did not complete the process for whatever reason is unknown to me. Jackie had the knowledge and patience to help complete the registration for me. I would highly recommend Boundary Hyundai for any after service needs. It is refreshing to know that you are still a valued customer after they have sold you a vehicle 3 years earlier.

TLDR: after 2.5 mths of leaving my Elantra with them, I received a cracked/bent license plate with majority of the plate frame snapped off and leaky green liquid emerging from the bottom as shown on photo
Background:
Faulty engine, stalled and stopped on the road while driving, brought it in. Hyundau Canada approved for new engine but only approved for 1 week of car rental. 1 wk of car rental is useless for a 2.5 m wait so I declined. I never expected to get my car back in this condition. I'm thankful that Hyundau Canada covered for the new engine. But I will never bring my car back for any service at this location.

Don’t buy cars from here especially the stock vehicle new ones in particular. First they take 3 to 4K above the MSRP in the name of adjusted price and there can be scratch or surprises too even if you buy a new stock vehicle.

Was at this dealership last weekend with a friend, they are taking advantage of the current market situation and the low stock for cars charging and absurd markup of 13.3% of the car! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! AND THIS MARKUP IS NOT EXPLAINED CLEARLY, not by the sales rep and not for the financial guy NO ONE EXPLAINED THIS FEE WITH DETAILS, they only said to my friend you can take the car today.
I do not recommend going to this dealership, I give only one star because I can give 0.

This past weekend we purchased a beautiful red 2015 Volkswagen GTI from Boundary Hyundai. Nathan, our salesman, was professional and funny. He was able to answer all of our questions and the car that we picked up on Saturday definitely had been given the best care and touch up while we waited to finish the sale. Brandon, the finance manager, was fantastic to work with - I have found in the past that finance managers can be tricky, but Brandon was very knowledgable and not pushy or arrogant and made the buying process a lot smoother for us. The whole team seemed happy to have us as customers and treated us well, considering we were not buying a Hyundai vehicle. My only concern is that the dealership seemed incredibly busy both weekends so it was a bit of a lengthy process between closing the sale and finalizing the details (over the course of a couple days), but we were very happy with the care and condition of the vehicle. Thanks Nathan and Brandon!

I went to this dealership last Saturday, Feb 19,2022, to get the Elantra preferred 2022. The car was available at the store, which is good luck nowadays. Everything went well until I revised the sale agreement at home.

They are charging me 3250 for the Markup price. It means 3250,00 just because the car was available at the dealership.
I came today Thursday 02/24 to ask my representative about it and he said it was described to me and it is what it is.

No one told me about this fee, they just wrote a random number on the sale purpose and didn't clarify it.

$3250,00 just to get the car, I was ok to wait, not to pay for a bizarre fee. I work in a supply chain as well and I don't charge my customers randomly just because I have the material.

It is so disrespectful, they don't care if I didn't accept this fee. Was my mistake not to check it on the day I got the car, but less then a week after and they just told me about this ridiculous and bizarre fee. I'm so frustrated, don't recommend their services.

Don't clarify the information for the clients, especially if it is an expensive fee, that we must agree on before the deal is a way to take our money no matter how.

Unfortunately, was the worse experience I have had in Canada. As usual, companies trying to get more money against immigrants.

HERE IS A SOLID PROOF of how these vultures take your hard earned money. I went to enquire a 2022 Sante Fe Ultimate Calligraphy trim but I was showed a 2021 demo vehicle same trim that had 4900 kms on it. I asked if the demo car was available for sale and they replied yes. The sale associate seemed nice but the sales manager, I believe his name was Jonathan, quoted the price more than the MSRP claiming that this is their price and it’s non negotiable. The maximum retail price of the new car is 46700 and he gave a sale price of 49700+doc+finance+taxes for a demo vehicle. Avoid going here!

Bought a car from them in May, still cannot get over the terrible service that Sales Advisor Elliot Jung had on me. He did not take me seriously in making a car purchase, and instead was really pushy, pressuring me into buying immediately "or else". Ultimately, this did not matter, but I was shocked to see this treatment from a dealership and was unimpressed. Additionally, he tried to pressure me with scare tactics to influence my decision. Though Sales Manager and other Sales staff were courteous after I explained my dissatisfaction, I was not impressed with Elliot's poor character and lack of judgement. As long as he is employed there, I will recommend against going car shopping here.

My dad and I went into the showroom today at 1pm. He’s looking to buy a new SUV. The receptionist looked at us and didn’t acknowledge us at all. We proceeded to look at the Santa Fe. We waited for 20 minutes and not one sales person approached us! There were at least two sales people who did not have customers. Terrible service! What a difference between Hyundai and Honda. Stay away from here if you want a new car.

Would have gone for 0 stars, if was allowed. We got a brand new car in a color that wasn't readily available. We were told, so expected regular updates but never got them, unless we contacted. Then we got a faulty piece where it would take few seconds to start, but they couldn't replicate it. We took videos and sent them, and then they said that they can't do anything, and tried to make us replace the car where we were loosing big amount of money. We ended up going to another Hyundai dealership where they were not only patient, but went above and beyond to work with us.

Recently purchased a 2022 Hyundai Santafe Plugin Hybrid at OpenRoad Boundary - LOVE this vehicle - great dealership! We looked for a more fuel efficient SUV for over 6 months and after test driving the Santafe, we were sold; so comfortable and drives beautifully.

We were all set to buy at Jim Pattison Hyundai, we were literally at the signing/pickup stage, but because of an extremely rude finance person, we left without the vehicle (didn't even make it in his office - he was that rude). We thought we were done with Hyundai, but we had been impressed with the Santafe.

We decided to Give Open Road Boundary a shot - what a different experience! I was ready for battle after my terrible experience at Jim Pattison - Staff at Open Road turned the whole experience around. They were able to get me the vehicle that I wanted and matched everything that I had already negotiated at the other dealership (so I didn't have to waste more time). When it got to the signing of papers, the finance person was on time for our appointment (unlike the other dealership where they had us wait close to an hour after our appointment time), was very thorough with explaining all of the paperwork, was friendly and professional.it was just a very pleasant experience.

I fully recommend Open Road Hyundai Boundary.

I had a bad experience to this dealership. I went here many times for car service with my hyundai veloster. The people who work in the service department ripped me off. I will never recommend to go this dealership if people want their hyundai cars for service. They work for commission, so they are upselling you. They told me that I needed a wheel alignment and replaced brake pads that my car didn't need it. Totally made up! They do unnecessary repairs. Very dishonest! However, if you are looking for OEM parts they have it in ready.just buy OEM parts, but don't go here for service. Try to save money find honest mechanics for service. I paid almost 1200$ for service which is crazy! That's why I will never come here for service or repair here no more.

I just got my first car, a 2021 Hyundai Elantra! Elliot Jung helped me out with everything! He provided efficient service and made life much easier for me as I'm I've never purchased a car here at Canada. He answered all the questions I had (and believe me I had tons of them) with patience and great manners. I put my trust in him and ended up getting a car with a reasonable price. I went in to enquire about leasing/Financing options. I was helped by Elliot Jung, who was very helpful and explained the pros and cons of both the options. He was very knowledgeable about the car as well. I liked the promptness of service and the ease of getting things done. When I purchased my vehicle, I explicitly told the salesperson that I was not OK with my contact information being used for marketing and promotional purposes.

Not only was my contact information immediately used for marketing and promotional purposes, but in fact *extremely disruptive* marketing and promotional purposes in the form of spam calls in the middle of the night from phone numbers that turn out to be affiliated with SiriusXM.

The sales rep from Boundary claimed - and I quote - "We didn't provide your email to SiriusXM and to my knowledge Hyundai doesn't send it to them either". But this seems pretty suspicious to me, because it is apparent from the SiriusXM marketing material they spam me with that they know exactly which vehicle I bought and when, and I sure as hell didn't tell them myself.

2/5. Vehicle is pretty dope. I wish it didn't come with so many night calls.

Update: After writing this review, the sales manager showed me his correspondence with SiriusXM, and I am now confident that Boundary did in fact take the right steps in dealing with this issue, and the true blame lands squarely on SiriusXMs shoulders. Still a disappointing experience, but credit where credit is due.

I Went in to look at a Hyundai Venue. (I clearly said I was doing research and wasn’t going to buy a car that day) They tried selling me a used Mazda. They wanted me to pay 500 dollars for reserving a Mazda that same day. I left.

They called me the whole week telling me they could give me a better price, but only the manager could do that. After lots of messages I ended up going to see if they could give me a better quote. I went there manager never appeared. He kept writing stuff on a piece of paper and sending it via the car seller.

After wasting my time I left. If you are new in this world don’t pressure to buy (even if they tell you that there are 2 couples thinking about buying the car lol) car has been sitting there more than 3 months and already had the price dropped. Take your time and do your research. They charge lots of fees.

Also they never showed me the venue.

Anna is a wonderful person and very knowledgeable, customer oriented, good customer service skills, and put customer's needs in front the business. Very friendly, outgoing, cheerful and makes people feel comfortable when there's inquired. If I owned the company, I would make her CEO.

David, the sales manager is very professional and a fine human being. Comes across as a good hearted man, put people's needs first and then business. Very wonderful customer services provided. If I would ever win a 649, I would make him as a CEO as well.

I normally have my vehicles repaired locally because I am roughly a 2 hour drive and ferry ride away from any Hyundai dealership. I had my alternator replaced in May of 2020 as shown in my repair receipt. I wasn’t happy with the service I received so I found a new shop to take my cars too. The mechanic noticed the new alternator and instructed me to call Hyundai because the new alternator was showing signs of oil damage because of a recall. He told me to call Hyundai Canada and set up the repair and ask for reimbursement for the repair I completed.
I called Hyundai Canada and they said no issue and they would have the dealer ship inspect the issue and repair the recalled item. I originally brought the vehicle over for repair for the day and when I returned to pick the vehicle up they said they had to order the parts. With a recall and an appointment you would think they would have had the parts?
Anyways I brought the vehicle back for repair on Monday and the service manager said they sent in the notes and will let me know about the reimbursement for my original repair. He called today and said he didn’t know why Hyundai Canada would not cover the repair but for me to not give a bad review. I said I understand that and will work with Hyundai Canada. I called Hyundai Canada and they then proceeded to tell me the dealership didn’t believe the alternator was damaged because of the recall. I said the dealership agrees with me and to call them back and around an hour later I get a call back from Hyundai Canada saying the dealership said they need more info. I said I’m not playing games with you all anymore and I will just leave a review. I wasn’t going to post on open road but I will be leaving this review there now as well as Hyundai Canada as I don’t know who to believe. Do not purchase from Hyundai if you value customer service, honesty, or reimbursement for repairs caused by recalls. Oh yeah, that alternator I replaced in 2020 was replaced again yesterday for oil damage.

He has responded to our calls and e-mails immediately and always followed through to find out the answer to our questions or concerns. He is honest with his answers and went the "extra mile" to get us the best deal possible. Since buying the car he has followed up just as promptly with any questions we have had. We would highly recommend him when you are thinking of buying a new or used vehicle.

I do not even know where to begin. Just walking through the entrance I was already greeted and immediately welcomed and noticed by all the staff. Came in just looking for a car but left with possibly one of the best experiences I have ever encountered.

Please get Brian to contact me via email. After trying to get what was promised to us in our contract since the 21st July, we finally got through to Brian who promised to get it all sorted and who would as a gesture try and fix our car’s door. David called us once the car was received quoting us how much it would cost to fix the door (confirming that they could fix it but at cost). After many backs and forth explaining that it was meant to be a gesture for the fact that we did not get what we paid for within 6months of having paid over 32000$ in full he said that he would check with Brian if he was authorized to fix it and get back to us IF NOT. They never got back to us but dropped our car back with an employee without the door having been even a little bit fixed. They did provide us with a paint pen that we already had (you can get them at Canadian tire for 25$.) for us to fix up ourselves. What happened to the call that we were going to get from Brian if the fix was not possible? I strongly suggest using an alternative dealership if you are looking to purchase a car. If you are paying without financing they will take your money and neither deliver paper work, detailing or anything included in the contract once they have your money. You can also never get through to anyone who works there and call backs at best take 24h if they ever do arrive (unless you call every half hour until they give in.). They will promise you the world on the phone to get you to leave them alone and then deliver nothing with no explanation. I am ashamed to have been fooled into thinking Brian was an exception. The doors also no longer lock with handle switch since you returned the car to me. Please explain why? It was working perfectly before you took it.

First time there for service. Felt safe with all their Covid precautions and accurate service estimate.

Vernon in repairs is fantastic! Extremely helpful, goes above and beyond to meet his customers needs, fast friendly and efficient service. I am very happy with the work from him and his team!:)

Wonderful experience here and especially thanks to Elliot Jung. He listened to my needs, made me test drive two cars very patiently and then advised the right car for my needs. He also went out of his way to get the price i wanted and finally got it and we made the deal. Will recommend him to my contacts
