I had a really great experience here with Monika. I thought I was really knowledgeable about skincare and buy all expensive medical grade skincare but was really surprised when the reasonably priced optaderm products made a much bigger difference in my skin. I learned a lot from Monika and am so grateful to finally see my skin heal, stubborn acne go away. I thought it would be something I needed to battle all the time and deal with ebb and flows of my skin, but its crazy to see the issues go away completely. Im really excited to go back but dont know what to do with all my time spent researching products and trying things to fix my skin now tbh haha

Wow. I had an amazing facial experience with Monika. It was my first comprehensive facial and she was a knowledgeable esthetician. During the session she walked me through what she was doing at my request because I was so curious.

She provided me with samples to take home and instructions for how to use them. I’m home now and my skin feels amazing and much more moisturized than ever! Looking forward to another one in the future.

I did a European facial here last week. The esthetician was super caring and friendly. Though the extractions were painful, the procedure overall was very relaxing. After the facial my face was bright red until the next day, and the day after my face was glowing.

However, a week later, my face is so dry and rough, and there are visible skin flakes all over my face. When I apply the samples they gave me, there's a burning sensation. Even my old skincare products feels tingly on my face. Before the facial, even without any moisturizer my skin had never been so dry. I tried calling them to ask about my skin condition, but the person at the front desk hung up on me twice.

Monika is simply the best. She is professional and personable. The facials are top notch with amazing massage techniques to boot. You must try.

I just had a great facial here. My skin has been sooo dry and I thought I was using the right products, I wasn’t! Thanks to Calla and her knowledge she was able to rehydrate my skin, relieving my dryness and wrote out a specific plan for what I needed to be using. I love these products and will def be back! Very affordable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

My experience with Emily at the front was magical!
As soon as I walked in she greeted me super politely and had me taken care of within minutes. Already the products she gave me are working beyond expectations.

The consultation process was great (they actually talked me out of a more expensive procedure, which shows integrity), the front staff were friendly and professional, and the space is clean and nice. My poor rating is due to my experience getting a laser facial, and the skincare products they sell. During the laser facial, the person administering it told me they would not be wearing a mask (while mask mandates were still in place) as it would fog up their goggles. They proceeded to cough repeatedly directly over me until I stopped them and asked them to put on their mask. I considered leaving mid-appointment because I was feeling panicked (due to health-related anxiety).
The aftercare skincare samples they gave me were fragranced and irritated my skin, which seems like skincare 101 as fragrance is a very common irritant.

I've seen Caitlin 3-4 times in the past year and always have a great experience. She is so knowledgable and careful with my sensitive skin. All of her product recommendations have been helpful to my specific needs and I always feel welcomed in her space.
As a budget-conscious person, the price range of services and products is reasonable and allows me to visit a few times a year:)

First time @ OptaDerm. Amazing experience. Noticed the difference right away. The staff helped me with some acne i've been getting due to mask usage and it was unbelievable how soon it started to heal. Also, the staff recommends products based on your skin type but doesn't hackle you over and over to buy them like other places might do.

What an excellent experience! I went for my first facial and it has actually transformed how my skin feels. I’ve never had any major issues with my skin but recently started getting some white/black heads. She explained the science behind what was happening to my skin and helped me understand how to better take care of my skin. Their products are also excellent. They aren’t pushy at all with selling it and are super transparent about what makes sense for you to buy. Highly recommend! Only complaint is I wish they had a downtown location:)

Just had my facial done here. Olivia was really good and knowledgeable. She was really gentle with extractions. Can't wait till my next appointment.

Had a wonderful facial with Caitlin, it was my first time going for something like this and she definitely made it a comfortable experience, she told me exactly what sort of things I should be doing for my skin at home and I will definitely go again.
The clinic is beautiful and very clean.
I will definitely be recommending my friends go there.

I really had big expectative about this place, because they seem to be very professional, the place is nice and clean but this is my experience:
1. Isha started my European Facial without making an initial diagnosis of my skin.
2. It was such a quick exfoliation that at the end I had still a lot of pimples.
3. Out of the cabin the aesthetician gave me the products that I needed to buy and when I started asking details and changing the sizes of the products, she got angry and started talking rude, I didn't want to argue with her, so I finished the chat and paid.
4. I’ve been using the products for one month hoping the 200 dollar bill were useful to my skin but I'm just the same as when I arrived there.

Well, if someone knows about a place that gives a good cleansing facial and products that helps to maintain a healthy skin I would really appreciate you share it with me.

I’ve been using Optaderm services and products since 2016. I love the range of products I use to augment Richard’s skincare wizardry. During my current self isolation, instead of picking up products at the storefront, I ordered them online. My order arrived in a few days with a gift of a 120ml bottle of 70% alcohol hand spray tucked in. This is so thoughtful! But not surprising from this wonderful group of caring professionals. Check them out (online, for now) and you will not be disappointed.

I cannot understand the positive reviews for this place. The products irritated my sensitive skin so I left Optaderm looking and feeling worse than when I walked in. The woman who did my European facial did extractions without successfully opening up my pores beforehand so there were fewer extractions than I am used to in a facial but they were also more painful. She left an unpleasant mask on my face and left the room for 25 minutes out of my hour long facial and was very negative in her commentary on my skin throughout. I have had over 50 facials in my life and this ranks as one of the very worst. Dreadful on all counts.

I cannot say enough about the quality and care of this establishment. The Optaderm products are incredible and the staff are really invested in your skin health. I have been coming to Optaderm for 30 years and I guess I took it for granted that it was great. I just took my son in to have a facial and Kara worked on him for and hour.no more black heads and she dealt with some acne he had. Don’t tell anyone but they tidied up his eyebrows and they look amazing. He was getting bad razor burn and Kara recommended their shaving cream which my son loves! I may have to get it for my husband too.if he behaves!

I was given a lotion called "Integrity" which led me to Optaderm. I love this lotion! Just beautiful results! However, I cannot say the same for the rest of the line (for my skin). I have acne prone skin and have put alot of energy into my skin staying pimple free. I get blackheads around my nose and sometimes around my cheeks. Because I was so impressed with the Integrity lotion, I was eager to try more products. I had saw a older lady leave from getting a facial and she was glooooowing. I immediately made appointment for one. Unfortunately I did not get the glowing effect nor did I get any blackheads extracted. I felt like I got a massage on my face and that was that. I thought ok maybe it's my skin. I took her suggestions and bought a entire new skin routine. I had been doing routine religiously for two weeks and then I started to break out! Pimples, oil production was intense! I also had exema around my eyes. I cried and never left the house for a month except for going to see my doc for accutane. It helped me before and I could not handle anymore acne scars. Took a month to start to see a rebalance. I kept away from Optaderm and just used my old routine. I felt so sad that Optaderm did me like this I had to try again to make sure Optaderm was the culprit.but first day trying it again new pimples popped up morning after. I quit! I have never had peptides in my products before maybe that's what set off my acne I dont know. I'm still getting over the unbalance off crazy oil production. I got blackheads where I've never had blackheads before. I would still buy the integrity lotion but will never try anything else there again.: (

My firs and last visit. Nasrin was my Esthetician. Never in my life I had such a rough and unpleasant treatment! I do not want to have plastic gloves rubbing my face ever again, who on Earth does that? ! My face is still itchy and red from the wrong products she used. Such a disappointment. This place might have good reputation but this Esthetician certainly didn't perform up to those standards.

Had an amazing experience at Optaderm today! The European Facial is much more than your average facial - Olivia really took the time to help me understand my skin and recommend some samples that will help. I've always had issues with my combination skin and I left feeling like I had a better understanding of how it works and way more confident. I'll definitely be back!

Had an incredible facial with Nasrin today at their new location. I have been getting facials with Optaderm for over 8 years - highly recommended Nasrin or Tabatha. Facials are approximately 1 hour and they are effective and efficient. I don't enjoy facials that are unnecessarily long. If you are looking for a spa experience with lemon water, hand and foot massages with your facial and plush robes, this ISN'T the place for you. The new location is modern, well appointed, welcoming and located at E. Broadway & Fraser street. No pressure to purchase products, however, their cleansing lotion, body oils and facial creams are excellent if you do. Book in advance, they are busy.

I've been a loyal OptaDerm client for nearly 20 years. Their products are of very high quality, they're innovative, and the results speak for themselves. Richard, B, and the team offer exceptional, knowledgeable service and are of the utmost integrity. Their new location is beautiful. Highly recommend!

I have had 2 facials at Optaderm and they were good, I bought the products and liked them, however I will never go again. I had an appointment on June 29th and emailed them on the 20th to cancel, I tried to call but it just kept ringing. I got a call reprimanding saying they did not receive my email and that if I called it went into voicemail and I should have left a message, and she insinuated that I was a liar. I forwarded the email to prove that I was not, I will never go there again, this is appalling behaviour and I am owed an apology.

I'm getting married in September, and only gave them 6 weeks to improve my skin, and work their magic. Long behold it's only 3 weeks in an my skin has made drastic changes for the better. My acne has cleared up, scaring is disappearing and my face is on the road to recovery. If I could give them 10 stars I would, they are absolutely amazing with what they do, and have such a great team! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
