Great store for art supplies and has a great selection of many different brands. Staff are always helpful. Great store.

Really excellent customer service and products. I’ve had three bespoke pieces framed by Opus and it’s the lovely people who always make it worth the cost.

My grandson, who is an amazing artist, and I visited Opus when we were in Victoria in July. I was so excited to show him the possibilities in the store, and we were immediately invited to try new things - Posca markers CaranDache pencils, new graphite sticks we hadn’t seen. None of these were available to us where we lived. We picked up mixed paper pads, whatever we needed. Staff were so gracious! Yes, we spent a lot, but have both been painting virtually nonstop since, and he had shared with his girlfriend. I hope to order more throughOpus.

Super friendly and knowledgeable- a very welcoming atmosphere overall. Melody was lovely to chat with, and I look forward to my next visit!:)

Opus Victoria is our go-to for pretty much all of our art needs. As artists ourselves and recently opening our gallery they have us covered. It's not just the product they carry or prices but it's primarily the staff that keep us coming back. We've been regular customers of Opus for over 25 years and the Victoria location over the last 9+ years. Over all these years we've done a fair amount of giving back within our community and Opus Victoria has supported what we are doing. The staff are really knowledgeable and have been a huge asset to the art community here in Victoria. Highly recommend Opus Victoria.

I went everywhere looking for nibs for my pen, it was the only place in town who had them! Definitely coming here again!

Called ahead to check stock on a particular part number and I was told they had 3 in stock. Turns out they had none. Just 3 of a similar part number. A waste of an hour. I'll be shopping online from now on.

Believe me, I know what i'm looking for and the feeling of the supplies do not meet my expectations. The space, location, and arrangement is very well done. I just can't connect with the inventory.

I had such a memorable experience the first time I stopped in on Opus. A kind yet jovial lady swept in and took me on a personalized tour of the store, stocking my basket with exactly what I was looking for. She was full of jest and heart, and made my entire week. Wish I knew her name. The world needs more _’s!

The staff are super friendly and very helpful! They have a pretty wide arrange of different products, I came in looking for paint and got some good help. The oil paints I was looking at ranged from 14 to 40 dollars

They have art stuff.no, seriously, this is a nice store with a vast selection of all things art related. They also do custom framing and hold various art classes too. The staff is always very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have.

Love Opus! Have a good selection of block carving / linocut supplies. Watch for their sales too.

Uncomfortable being in the store. Staff breathing down your back and wont leave you alone. Till staff shamed my friend for returning something: (

I don’t want to come back to this store ever again. A stout man with short grey hair, I think his name was Michael or Mike? He was extremely rude and short with me for absolutely no reason. The manager of the store was standing right beside him and being complacent to the issue. I’ve seen him treat a number of customers this way and as long as he’s working there I’m not coming back. He should be fired. I will take my business to island blue or michaels. If I could give zero stars on this review I would.

An amazing stock of art supplies, everything I needed and even more I didn't expect to need! Definitely a bonus that they are taking social distancing and numbers allowed in the store seriously, felt safe while shopping. Knowledgeable staff, very friendly, one of my favourite places to buy good quality traditional art supplies!

I called the store to find out if they had the product I wanted to buy in stock. Andrew is the fellow who answered the phone and he was very friendly and helpful, even went to check the inventory with his own eyes to confirm what the computer was telling him was correct. Lovely customer experience!

So friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I learn so much every time I go in and no one is ever pushy. Over the year I’ve been painting, I’ve gone there to get student grade stuff and now on to professional grade supplies as I progress on my art journey.

Went in for some clear sleeves and odds and ends. The girl helping me was amazing and helpful while still giving me space to shop. Covid protocols were on point. Great art shop, huge selection, right on.

Great selection, prices so so. Over zealous Covid care. I am working on a big project and have had to visit the store several times in the last 2 months. EVERY TIME I come I feel interrogated and followed in the store as if I am about to run and infect others. I appreciate stores being careful with measures, but come on! Treat people with respect, don’t assume your costumers are stupid. Why do you have to even ask what and why are they at your store?

My go to for all of my art supplies. I find the staff helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. That's quite an achievement considering Opus is the one main professional art store around yet still treasure their customers.

If you are an artist this place is for you. The staff who seem to be artists themselves are very knowledgeable about various art forms. They have a plethora of different kinds of paints and brushes that will be just what you are looking for, for that special project.

Knew close to nothing of framing a picture and they helped us the whole way through. Saved us a ton of money walking us through it, can’t recommend enough.

The staff are lovely and the products are well priced and good quality. Some may seem expensive so this store isn't for everyone.

Great little art supply store, covers most of my needs when I decide to pop in. Only real complaint is the prices, as they can often be double what you would pay elsewhere.

Well art is like a fix for me.so yeah.heaven. But the workers are right there to assist you and explain things to you. Dang I think there are more employees right there ready to help people in this store than a department store. It's fantastic.

Ok so when I last visited the store I was overly nervous and a tad paranoid due to the fact that I had no lock for my e-bike, so I was left with few options so I took the gamble (witch I do not recomend) risking my bike at the wide and obstruction free entrance for a quick glance at there metallic sprays while also keeping a eye on my prized possession, but I'm sad to say its the same variety of Golds and the common silver/chrome.
And that was it unfortunately, though I did end up purchasing a red and a blue low odour quick drying ect.they were half size cans of spray paints that were relabeled from obvious old stock to appear as new stock and they were 11$ cad each for 1/2 the usual volume expected being accustomed to the paint and primer 10$ full-size cans that being said the staff were helpful, quick to point out the location of all there spraypaint and able to answer questions or had about the products I then bought.
The payments process was very quick and the staff member there was smiling and friendly leaving me with a feeling that I'd be shopping there again because of those good vibes.
Anyways if your needing a large variety of metallic spray paint this is not the place to shop but for the usual artists needs this is a place to fufill your needs.

A nice selection of art supplies, including ink, paint, water coulour, large selection of photo frames. Can be expensive as these things are but will most likely have the art supplies you need

I can't say how this place compares to other art supply stores in Victoria but coming from Regina, SK it was amazing. Had everything and way more than I've ever seen. Very nice.

The best place to get any kind of art supplies. Has a great deal to the members and students. They also have their own Opus brand which is at good quality and good price. Staffs are very familiar with the art materials and they helped me so much for me to get what I wanted exactly.

The store has a lot of materials for arts.the prices are similar to Amazon, close enough to dont wait for a delivery - at least for the thing the I bought. It might be important to clarify that I am a hobbiest, not a pro artist

I have been actively shopping here for about 6-7 years. I have literally never had a bad experience. Even when busy, staff is super friendly and always knowledgeable. 100% my favourite art store.

I felt that the "garage sale" April 6 for was underwhelming to say the least. I traveled over 2 hours and found scotch tape and some old tubes of paint; there was nothing much to choose from. Above Ground in Toronto just had a week long customer appreciation; 20% off all supplies in store and online and Curry's offers 15% teacher deduction, AGO member discounts plus supplies are generally cheaper. Why not offer the same deals for artist's here?
