I enrolled in both the Counselling Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills courses at Orca Institute, and it turned out to be the perfect decision for me, especially as a mother of three, including a young autistic boy. I was with Orca Institute from November 2020 to March 2023 and have completed the Counseling Hypnotherapy and Counseling Skills programs. I loved having the opportunity to be supported to craft my art as a counsellor. Coming from a background of various methodologies already, Orca provided a perfect container for me to find myself with my life experience and background, unifying and reimagining my skills in a counselling format. The Counselling Skills Diploma programme with the Orca Institute has been a wonderful educational experience. The course material is well thought out and very informative. I highly recommend Orca Institute for too many reasons to list. But I think I'll choose my number one reason, and that is the people. The staff and students making it a truly rich learning environment that far exceeded all my expectations of a distance learning program.

I just completed the Counselling skills program with Orca and all my expectations were greatly exceeded. I was most impressed with the quality of the material presented in the course. It was current and relevant to the practice of counselling. My supervisor, Diane Auld, was a delight to work with. She was knowledgable of all things counselling and anything to do with the Orca Institute. There were some minor glitches in the information that needed to be ironed out due to this being a new program but Diane was helpful in this regard. My contact with Sheldon Bilsker was friendly, helpful and professional. I found the website to be user friendly. All in all, I feel I received an excellent education through the Orca Institute and would recommend it to anyone thinking of furthering their career in the counselling profession.

I didn't really know what I was getting into when I started I just felt called to learn about Hypnotherapy. Well I learned so much more. I had been looking counselling training program that offered some specific tools to really transform people's lives. After a lot of research, found the counselling hypnotherapy program at the Orca Institute to be the treasure I had been looking for. The program Director Sheldon Bilsker and online conferencing instructor Diane Auld have been very supportive instructors in my journey, the program manual is a great learning resource and the videos are a great way to learn how to put it into practice. As I work 'in practice' with other students and initial clients I have found the collaborative nature of hypnotherapy to be very empowering and not only is helping the people I am working with but is helping me with my own personal growth and healing.
