Orchid Oddities Tattoo & Curio

Had an old tattoo reworked by Holly and 5 stars all around. I contacted Holly on IG initially inquiring about a half sleeve based on her flash mentioning I had a botched tattoo on the lower half of my arm. Holly asked for a photo of my existing piece to see what could be done to incorporate the two prices together, which in itself is pretty awesome!

Upon seeing the photo she said she'd probably need to see it in person so we set up a consultation.

Holly was really great at answering all my questions, listing to my concerns and problems with og tattoo. She assessed the damage to skin and work done, shared her ideas and listened to mine.

I never felt any pressure to go forward with booking the half sleeve or reworking my existing. I didn't originally plan on reworking things at this time but felt like we were on the same page and felt safe having Holly do it. Plus might as well have my whole arm look good and not just the new stuff!

During the actual appointment I was yet again impressed. Because some of the areas this was the third time being tattooed, things were blotchy, scared and there was a lot of brown to banish, Holly really took her time to see how my skin would react and so she could change colours if needed depending how they took.

The re work isn't even finished and it's already a thousand times better and I'm super happy. It's all healing beautifully and without any issues. I feel like Holy has gone above and beyond tbh. And made sure I knew she was available if I had any questions or concerns especially since all I've gone through in the past with this one.

She's plotted a bunch of ways to incorporate the two pieces together and has a whole game plan laid out on how we're gonna tackle all the things and kept me super informed through the whole process.

The rest of the artists all seem to be very friendly and welcoming as well. Shop is cute and well laid out with lots of space. Definitely recommend Holy and checking out the shop and other artists as well!

Travelled to Vancouver for vacation and wanted to get a tattoo here for a memory because I’ve seen so many TikTok videos and it looked like so much fun and the atmosphere looked comforting but after actually being here in person I’d say I felt completely different than how the videos are. They are super rude and awkward and didn’t say anything when I walked in with my partner for several minutes. It seemed like they didn’t even know what they were doing and they made everything extremely complicated then how they make the tiktok videos which is hilarious. I’d suggest watching the TikTok videos bc sometimes they let certain people re roll the dice for free or let them pay an hourly rate for the tattoo they want. We asked a bunch of questions bc we knew what we wanted and how we wanted it and the girl Geneva just was so unprofessional and had such attitude that made us feel uncomfortable and not welcomed. We went from super excited to unsettled after trying to speak with her about her tattooing us. It was like she didn’t have the time of day to be bothered since we didn’t have an appointment but walk-ins were welcomed. She had no excitement whatsoever or proper costume service skills. She was very condescending towards us and we didn’t like it. I’m so very happy my partner and I chose to walk away without getting these tattoos bc I couldn’t imagine that being on my body forever with the memory of someone so ignorant tattooing us so fast for a cash grab without even taking the time to speak to your clients and make them feel comfortable and welcoming and them being there matters. This place is a joke and I wouldn’t recommend it so please I can’t stress this enough do your research and go to a real tattoo artist that makes you feel good about yourself and getting a tattoo. Also she sneezed openly while tattooing another person while we were waiting without even covering her mouth or stepping away and she sounded sick which was disgusting and unclearly not even wearing a mask either.

All the artists are super nice and welcoming! I’ve come here for all 14 of my tattoos so far! I came here with my friend to watch them get tattooed: 3 they were kind to let me sit nearby. I came here to get a tattoo, they were honestly so amazing to deal with. It wasn’t just my artist either that was positive it was all of them in shop that day. They respect privacy where I haven’t really experience that in the past. The relationship with artists in this place is honestly so beautiful you can tell they truly care for each other and keep it very very professional witch again isn’t always found. They also are very open to making your dreams come true instead of forcing their styles on to you. If you are looking for a place to feel respected safe and at home I suggest booking with this team. I promise you will not regret your choice here.
P.s I would love to add also they will talk you through the pain.if your struggling they don’t gaslight you for needing breaks will constantly make sure you’re okay or if you need anything they got you. It’s honestly so beautiful watching these guys at work because you can truly see they care for their work but clients. They are LGBTQ friendly. I could honestly go on for hours about my experience!

Could not have asked for a better first tattoo experience. Geneva had made a custom piece for me, and was very lighthearted and funny while she worked on my tattoo. The service was amazing, and she made sure I felt comfortable throughout my first ever tattoo session. The custom piece she had made was absolutely stunning - she portrayed my vision perfectly. I am extremely thankful for her service and would immediately recommend her to anyone interested in getting a tattoo done. Much love and thank you so much Geneva!:)

I am visiting from Ontario and decided to get a memento. Elly was so gentle, kind, personable and skilled. The shop also has such a welcoming atmosphere. When I come back to BC I will be visiting again! <3

They have a really nice shop and lounge area for waiting. I haven't gotten a tattoo myself but my friend has and they look great. I also really liked the Pac-Man machine that is FREE to play as many times as you want

Went with my boyfriend to play the d20 game. Our artist Geneva was so lovely and sweet! The atmosphere was extremely comfortable and relaxed, and they were so gentle whereas my other artists weren't. I was able to sit through both my drawings quietly with no pressure to chat which was an added personal bonus. I'm so in love with both my tats, her style is exactly what I enjoy.

Went and did the d20 game with my gf and we both got amazing tattoos done! They are very professional there and the atmosphere is super relaxed and comfortable. Was one of the best tattooing experiences I've had. I'll definitely be going back again to get more work done! Geneva was super gentle while she tattoo'd and she was incredibly accomodating. I highly recommend them!
