Original Joe's Restaurant & Bar

Trying to place an order for our staff luncheon, no answer at the store (yet they are open) answering machine says to order online yet that store is “offline”, therefore unable to place an order.

Was not impressed with the food, but will give them another chance as I had been there in the past.the Kelowna location.

Me and my friend come here all the time and Taylor is our regular server! We ask to sit in her section everytime. She provides the best customer service I’ve ever seen and genuinely wants to give the people she’s serving her best self with her amazing aura about her #we love Taylor

Taylor is absolutely amazing! She’s mine & my friend’s regular server and we get 10/10 service every time! We come here a few times a week just because of the amazing service we get every time! And the food is so good:)

Was gifted an Ultimate Dining Card which unfortunately includes zero restaurants nearby except for Original Joe's. Today's visit was the first and last time we will go there.

OJ is located in a busy Surrey plaza but this location wasn't even half full during Friday lunch - that should have been telling. Our server was amazing - pleasant and professional. The food was another story.

We ordered the dry ribs, 1 pc fish & chips, and a summer menu item - the burrito bowl. The dry ribs were deep fried a very deep brown and were extremely dry & tough - we immediately sent those back. The fish was overly battered with soggy fries, the kind of fries that had been par-fried 2 hours ago and was flash-fried a 2nd time but not at the right temp so they were oil-sogged. The burrito bowl had spicy chicken pieces and that was the only good thing about it.

We left hungry but thankful we didn't pay full price for this meal because it was so disappointing.

I ordered through skip and it was the worst calamari and Ceasar salad I have ever had. The Ceasar was small and mostly flimsy green leaves and it only had two pieces of bacon. The calamari was so greasy and the pieces were tiny. I will never order or fine in at that restaurant. So dissatisfied and disgusted with their food. YUCK! I actually feel sick after eating.

This place is horrible. The service is bad. And careful what you say, cause the staff has a horribly dirty mind and will label you a creep.

Happy hour dry ribs were disgusting. Wet and worst flavor I've ever had. The sauce that came with it was just as bad. Asked for Chipotle dip with my fries, which were OK. Server told me I might not like it. She was right. Not good. Chicken Tenders were more breading than chicken. Servers were pleasant and friendly. Only reason for any stars. Won't be back.

The staff is amazing, friendly, fast and efficient. Food is always good, and I love how you get 2 sides with most things.

As a regular here since the beginning, I can tell you that food here has improved over the past months, as I think they finally brought in a good manager for the place.

Service is always friendly and fun, servers are engaging and so what is not to like about the place? Sometimes, it can be a poor experience, and the management is not prepared to "remedy" the problems as they used to, so that is why only 4 out of 5 stars.

Food was great service was awesome. The guy and girl working this evening July 20th 2022closing shift were awesome hope this reaches someone in office above them so they can be appreciated and awarded for the service and care they put into the original joes name.

Great OG location. Very nice professional friendly staff. They've continued to update and improve their menu and their food and cocktails are very good. Lovely patio area. Great a/c inside.

Called 1.5 hrs ahead to schedule a pick up time.
Food was ready, unfortunately it was cold and severely overcooked.
Fries were disgusting from using old oil, and food very disappointing.
Won't be back ever!

Blue Buck beer on tap. Great beef dip sandwich. Friendly staff and the outdoor patio is fun when weather permits

I’m not coming back here. All the food sucked. Was all overcooked (except the shrimp) even though I asked specifically not to make my wings and dry ribs crispy they did anyway. There are no food quality checks from kitchen to customer. Staff doesn’t care.

I ordered take out which entailed undercooked chicken, a disgusting fish smell (no fish ordered), and the most horrendous, unprofessional, inconsiderate supervisor named Ashley. I don’t think she knows what she’s doing so maybe call ahead and don’t go on a day she’s working… or at all.

Never again. $20 for fish and chips. I get this looks like someone didn't finish their plate and was given to me.

Was recommended this place by a colleague - I reckon the burgers could be better if they weren't so dry! Damn good Beer though

Food was great, service though they were polite we seemed to get ignored, server explained they had a busy night and yes we were there near closing time. So all in all a good experience.

Sean (Shawn?) the bartender has gotta be one of the best I've experienced ever.
Attentive and conversational. My beer was refilled before it was empty, my menu down before I asked for it.
From what I understand he's relatively new but has transformed my whole experience with Original Joe's in Cloverdale.
Shame he can't work 7 days a week because I came back tonight and he wasn't here.
Good food, good drinks, excellent bartender.

Service was incredibly slow, even though the place was nearly empty! Most servers were chatting behind the bar together, and not working. Took 15 mins just to get a menu. The fries were good, but food took over a hour to come out. Had to ask another waitress for the bill because our waitress never even came back with our drinks!

The food was actually pretty good, and portions were decent. Staff were absolutely lovlie and friendly! I definitely will be going back

Has become our neighbourhood go to place. Always decent food and a good variety of drinks. Patio is so so because it's plunked down in the middle of a parking lot. But it's good enough with decent heaters.

While the food and service is good, i had to give it OJ's 2 stars as the prices are astronomical. All appies are around $15 -20 each. Other than desserts nothing is really under $10 other than potato chips or a side. I understand the great financial loss that restaurants have gone though, but also times have been hard on restaurant patrons as well. I would like to continue to support the industry, however with the current pricing I will have to support another restaurant.

Sorry to say very bad service by manager.we were made to sit in cold without any heat as dining out is only fisible.

The food was great and our server Morgan was awesome too. I would recommend coming here and trying out the happy hour menu.

Food was way below average.the chef must have been on a notice. Burger just a bit better that Mcdonalds. The waitress was so nice that it scared us all, we all agreed she was more like Little Red Riding Hood. She spoke like it not looked like it.

Girlfriend i come here every few weeks usually a Friday or Saturday night and the server we get i believe is the night manager and she is absolutely amazing. Super friendly and nice and the food is also great.definitely recommend this location to everyone 10/10

Amazing service by Morgan! People were spaced apart in the restaurant and the food was yummy. The service was more than exceptional! Unfortunately the prices have gone up, but that seems to be every restaurant. The water pressure in the bathroom was very low to wash your hands. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and come back again.

We had not been to Original Joe's in Cloverdale though we had twice before been to the one in Abbotsford. We pretended that February 16 was Valentines Day and thus missed the crowds. Our server, and yes I have forgotten her name, was wonderful. If you go and your server is a lovely and very short woman, that is probably the one! We enjoyed the food an will certainly be back again

Have been to this location a few times now and ordered something different every time. Happy to say everything ive had has been good and had its own individual tastes. Not one of those places where everything tastes the same

hoping The food was alot better. Price was 2 high. Don't be fooled either, it says beside each food item 2 sides, but you dont get them free. $18.00 for a hotdog is too much, and I paid for the side. Before that I I tired there burgers, but again I thought it was over priced.
On another note. I would like to try there breakfast. I also find that when they're really busy, servers hae a hard time remembering order. I had to ask 3 time for my milk. Great atmosphere though. I think they would be a wonderful hangout, if they had better prices and took a littke more time making the meals. And if your going to charge theses these prices atleast give the 2 side's.

I had the wings at happy hour. Good but not enough sauce and a small caesar salad which was also good but had too much dressing (I'm hard to please I know). My wife had the tempura shrimp and they were great. Atmosphere was casual, service was very good. I would go again.

First time at this location last night! Waitress’ seemed busy and running around. We stood at the door for sometime and no one greeted us. Blonde (manager?) and a tall black hair waitress just stood at the bar talking and laughing while everyone else was running around. We ended up just seating ourselves Our waitress ended up being great and food was good to! Our drinks seemed to take a lot longer then they should. Again the blonde and black haired girl were just talking instead of making the drinks
I have worked in th industry before & it is a team work environment and those two really disappointed me. I could see that the other employees were frustrated and flustered.
All in all, food was good, our waitress was great but the two at the bar really put a damper on our experience

Caught a window where it wasn't busy. Great service, food, and drinks. Love the dill wings with dill dip and the Brussel sprouts.

Came here on Sept 22 at about 6: 00 pm. Me and my wife had a great experience here. Everything we ordered was great! The service by our server was great. The decor was good and our table was comfortable. We had the Cajun chicken burger and the grilled cheese burger. The Cesar salad was one of the best I have ever had. This is the best location for this chain restaurant. This is an update. I love this place!

Foor was good, lot of quantity. In the drink ice was crushed too much. It kept blocking the straw. Staff was serving with a smile.

Poutine was awesome and had this Momo kind of chicken it was fried tasted awesome.loved the space and friendly environment

Ordered thru Skip The Dishes, received about 1/3 of the size of Brussel sprouts that you receive in the restaurant, did not receive the fries that were ordered, and received a small container of chicken that we did not order. Contacted Joes, they said they would call back, 1 hr later still nothing. Called them again and all they said is we will give you a free appetizer when you come in next time. What about the rest of my meal I did not get?

Their Greek wings is my favor most of the time, but i wend on last week, Sept 3,2019, as they have the special night; I work in the afternoon shift then I cant go all the time for the special, i request for off and I can go last week but was very disappointed; the service was OK but the foods not really good, the wings are over cooked, dry and not that Greek tasted too. Not sure; maybe on Tuesday wings day and not deserve the good quality taste? Will need to think about to go again or not

Second time I've had to walk out after 15 mins with no service and then watching patrons who arrived after me get looked after. This whole seat-yourself thing obviously doesn't work. Too bad I used this place for skip the dishes but the lack in service means I won't be coming back unless something noticably changes.

Avoid! My friends and I visited this place last night. Alyssa was our server, and we felt the service was extremely rushed. She asked us couple times what our plans are for tonight (sounded like she wanted to end her shift early). We ended up going to Brown's social house instead and it was a much better experience.

I like the food here, it's not too bad and the server staff are friendly. Always feels like they are short staffed when I go though.

Food was pricey and not worth it. I ordered the ACE cheeseburger which was just an average burger but my bun was stale. My wife got the crispy chicken burger which was black on the outside. Won’t be coming back here again

Service was below sub par, was sat next to the computer and had to listen to them talk about how drunk they where planning on getting the his weekend, the food came out tasting very bland and couldn’t believe that my meal for 2 people and 2 drinks could come out to be over $100 dollars

Took almost an hour to get our food which was NOT GOOD. The restaurant was very very quiet. Now we know why. Service was fine but the manager was completely uninterested and did not care at all.
Been a few times and this was the last time. Will never go back

Love there mac & cheese burger, butter chicken, fries etc. Everythig is delicious! They have alot of veggie options and meat replacement menu that is amazing for vegans and vegetarians! They also have a gluten sensitive menu and good service. Casual atmosphere & rarely busy! Highly recommended!

Good service, good food, and fair prices. They do have a kids menu, though it's a bit sparse. Including a veggie plate would help, but thankfully they offer two sides with many of their meals so you can get veggies for them that way.

Great place for an all adult group of 4, but during busier hours the larger tables are limited, so call ahead.

Love their happy hour margaritas peach id my favorite! The truffle parmesan chips are fantastic aswell!

I love original Joe's menu. Great food, from appy to entre there's always going to be something you and your family can enjoy.

Went to original joe's on the weekend and the server was very nice but the food was awful. The fries were burnt and seemed like they have been sitting for a while. The salad had no dressing and when I showed them they said they could fix it and then drenched the salad in dressing. The overall food was low end pub food with high prices.

Went to cloverdale location with my family, my son just got hockey mvp. Took 15 minutes to get our drinks. Half hour in order was taken 3 groups came in after us and food was served to them before us. Server told us 5 minutes, 10 minutes later was told 5 more minutes. Finally I was told the morning crew did not prep food, she went in back and I talked to manager and she threw her server under the bus and said that the server forgot to put in our order. We left and food else where. Discrace!
