Amazing salon! Alex took time and care to understand exactly what I wanted. As someone with curly 3a/3b hair who also styles it straight, I wanted a cut that would work for both styles. Alex completely understood the assignment and made me feel gorgeous. She took the time to cut it both wet and diffused dry to make sure she'd be creating a versatile cut that worked both ways. Not to mention, she's an excellent conversationalist! Highly recommend her for curly hair - will be going back.

Best hair salon I have ever visited! I have been twice now, and both times Tom listened very carefully and cut my hair exactly how I wanted paying attention to every small detail. I was greeted with big friendly smiles and was recognized by the staff as I returned for my second time, which gave a very homey feel to the place, it’s amazing and I will be returning for all my haircuts.

My wife came in and she loved her haircut. Alex was the best cut she had in a long time. She was also very nice and she will come back for sure. Thank you so much!

Went for a haircut and had a great experience. My hairdresser, Alicia was so nice and she did an amazing job. She did exactly what i asked for. Highly recommended, will definitely go again.

Going to the hairdresser in a foreign country is always a concern for me because we know how important our hairs can be for us. But my experience at OSO was pretty nice. Joanne did a great job with my haircut. She cut them the exact way I wanted them to be cut.
The rest of the team was also very welcoming.

Alisha was a wonderful stylist. She was creative and gave good suggestions on what to do with my hair and came out with a delightful mess hairstyle. She was warm to chat with as well. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy coming here and have my hair cared by Becca. She does my barely visible trims as I want them to keep my length. I love her scalp massage during shampoo and treatment.

I had my first haircut with Tom today, and he was really great! I got bangs which I was nervous about, but Tom was very detailed and thorough, made some adjustments when I requested, and also took the time to explain to me how i should style them. I am super happy with the end product. I would very much recommend Tom to anyone!

Also I really liked the space at Oso and the general atmosphere. Everyone was kind.

I wanted to find a new hairdresser in downtown and thankfully found Tom at OSO Hair Salon. I loved my first cut and everyone was so lovely. I will definitely be returning!

Joanne gave me the cutest haircut and colored my roots! My previous haircolor was at an awkward state, but she still managed to give me a haircut that makes it look cute. I also learned amazing techniques from her on curling my hair. Also love that they serve tea/coffee makes. Definitely going to be be my go to place.

Recently i went for hair perms and after one wash my hair got brittle, frizzy again. Not worth it. This is insane. SERIOUSLY!

The staff including the manager, JP, are all amazingly friendly, helpful and accommodating. As a person living in a wheelchair, the shampoo basins were good, the salon is accessible from the street and I will definitely be letting my friends know about Oso Hair Salon.
I will also be contacting the agencies that I work with, helping people with disabilities, to let them know about my great experience so they can promote the salon on their websites!
I will definitely be back!

I came into the salon yesterday to see Becca for the first time, and I left as happy as can be! It's always stressful when you're searching for a hairstylist, but I would highly recommend her. Upon arriving the man who greeted me at the front desk was very welcoming and kind, so the first impression was spectacular. Then I met Becca who listened carefully to what I wanted done with my hair (short pixie) and continued to check-in during my appointment. The salon was clean, comfortable chairs, easy conversation, and overall just a lovely place to visit. I will be back!

I would highly recommend Diana at OSO hair salon. Not only was she magnificent in her work, but we also received exceptional service from the manager of the salon and felt very welcomed by the staff. Look up Diana’s Instagram account: dakabrush to see her work. She is a phenomenal makeup artist and hairstylist and will have you glammed up for any event!

Nice and welcoming environment. My daughter and I both had haircuts which included a wash and styling with Joanne and are very happy with the results. Joanne is very knowledgeable, nice, and gave tips and recommendations to keep our hair healthy. Definitely will be going again.

I had a beautiful experience at the salon. Excellent customer service. Joanne my hairstylist was brilliant she gave me exactly what I wanted and was kind enough to give me a head massage as she washed my hair. Will definitely be going here often

Amazing atmosphere, worth every penny. Happy with what I had asked for and an added curl at the end. Had some helpful hair care tips as well i’ll be looking into. I’m moving away but definitely my go to salon whenever I visit.:)

I was in Vancouver for a visit and decided to get my hair done. I am so happy with my choice, best hair cut I have ever had. Masoud gave me alot of helpful tips on how to take care of my hair. I had haircuts and styling done by Becca and I'm always pretty happy with the result. I go all the way from Burnaby to this salon because she's really great. I can't recommend her enough!

This weekend I went to OSO with one of my best designers curly hair, he got me the best volume that no ones hive me before.

On June 26,2022 for 1: 00 pm. I had an appointment made for just a STYLE. This appointment was made almost 2 weeks in advance. My sister was the one the booked it and spoke with reception regarding OUR expectations and the results we wanted. We specifically stated JUST A STYLE.

Upon going to the appointment ON TIME. I was (unfortunately) had TARA as the stylist. Right from the beginning I was confronted with a lot of attitude and grief because she had another client after at 1: 30 pm. Keep in mind, my appointment was scheduled for 1 pm (which was VERBALLY created over the phone- not booked through online portal).

Circling back- I felt beyond Retaliated against all because she was basically overbooked? I felt BEYOND uncomfortable through the whole thing. Through of the entire time of her simply drying my hair and just CURLING IT- she kept complaining how she has another client in 30 mins. My hair ended up taking 40 mins. I did NOT get the hairstyle I desired. I could have curled my hair at home and got the EXACT SAME RESULTS.

I felt beyond over changed at $85 for a blow dry and style? All she used was a serum and hairspray- no way was the result I got for todays appointment was and is worth $85. I came to the salon with my hair washed as well to make it easy. (and NO, this price defiantly does NOT reflect the QUALITY of the hairstylist service- legit, I could and have done curls to my own hair and had the SAME RESULT)

The verdict is- I am and WAS A CLIENT PAYING MONEY FOR A SERVICE! YET- I was treated poorly, basically yelled at and complaint too? Tara was spoke extremely rude and and Condensating tone at my sister ACROSS the salon even with other clients in the business- (all when she also questioned why there wasn’t sufficient time provided for the duration of the appointment) We both felt belittled and so embarrassed.

Tara was STATED out loud that “ they- the stylist have zero oversea on scheduling services and how it’s done be a separate worker that works at home “ LOL never heard that excuse.

If TARA was so Set of being so available for her other client at 1: 30 pm. She could have EASILY turned my away and I would have be perfectly fine with it as I would have understood the situation from the start if she had EXPLAINED from the beginning- instead of taking me right away and then seeing how thick and long my hair is. (again this was DISCUSSED AND SHARED WHEN THE APPOINTMENT WAS BOOKED)

This business is run by Incompetent, Arrogant and Self-righteous individuals that need a 101 class on customer service.

The only tip I give to TARA is that you need to need to learn and know when to turn away clients when you don’t have the sufficient time to provide services they desire.

Yes, I could have easily gotten up and walked away upon learning about the over scheduling- however at the end of the day- I felt such an extreme amount of grief from her complaining- her behaviour was already unstable and clearly stressed- I was worried that she was lash out at me solely based on her rues.

Never will I ever return here again.

*** by 4: 00 the curls barely had held- I had to go home before the wedding event and do a touch up myself. Beyond disappointing service.

I had such a great experience with Tara! She completely understood the look I was going for and used her expertise to cut my hair to suit my face shape and hair type. Would highly recommend!

I love this place. Masoud helped me with my haircut and I couldn't be any happier. I was literally sleeping because he is so gentle you don't feel like anyone touching your head.
Definitely would recommend this clean salon.

When you walk into OSO, you are immediately treated by the entire team like family. They literally make you feel like you are Royalty! The Stylist team are all experienced and friendly - they listen to what you are looking for and offer great advice/suggestions that are always welcomed by me who can never make a decision! OSO deserves more than a 5-star in my books!

Masoud was absolutely amazing, professional and friendly. I went for a haircut and was a bit scared at first as I have curly hair and not everyone knows how to treat it, but Masoud did a great job and and very happy with my cut. Great service!
