I was so ready to get a bad haircut after reading the reviews, but this is the first guy in a LONG time that did exactly as I asked to perfection. Keep up the good work.

I had a horrible experience there. DO NOT go there. I am a queer woman, I have a men's style haircut. Everywhere I go for a haircut, I am usually charged with a man's haircut. I went there and got a singaporean lady to cut my hair. She and I made a pretty decent conversation. She then charged me for a women's haircut, which is $5 more. On the sign outside, it said ADULTS will cost $19.99. But that is not the case. I argued that my hair is short and I did have a man's haircut. But she said, "well, aren't you a woman? " I feel very cornered, it was on Pride Day, the location is on Davie Street, and I feel very strongly scammed.

NEVER GO THERE. They are not LGBT friendly. They will try to rip you off!

I’ve been coming here for about 3 years now, but won’t be coming back. Used to be pretty decent, but since the price went up it has gone downhill somehow. I’m not sure how much more explicit I can ask for a blended haircut and still come out with harsh lines on either side. They either don’t listen or don’t understand and can’t be bothered to clarify.

So this place is on another level the customer service was great they had kept up with covid precautions my barber NAHAL she was everything amazing anyone wanting good hair cut, beard trims, or even want to feel great when you cut your hair come here you'll enjoy the experience.

Went in with a half finished cut that needed saving. Nahal was fantastic, cut it just as I asked, fast and efficient - walked out happy! I'll definitely be back!

I am a queer woman with a very short haircut. The sign says ADULTS $19.99. Went in there, was told that BECAUSE I AM A WOMAN (DESPITE HAVING A VERY SHORT HAIRCUT) I am charged $25.00. BY A LADY FROM SINGAPORE. I tried to argue with her because I have a men's haircut, why not charged me the ADULT'S FEE, but she said BECAUSE I WAS BORN A WOMAN, I HAVE TO BE CHARGED A WOMAN'S FEE. So they charged me $5 dollars more.

WILL NOT RETURN THERE. THE BARBER IS NOT LGBT friendly. IT IS ALL A SCAM!

I’m a regular. Always show reference before haircut, have a little talk with the barber so I can be sure he understands what I want. Mohawk Fade cut, always explaining that I’m letting my hair grow at the back of my head. At the end I always get the same basic haircut with the side line and completely shaved back which I didn’t asked for. Since you raised your prices I would love to go home satisfied at least. Thank you.

The sign said $13.99 for a senior and when I asked how much before the cut was told it was $20.00 it's a bait and switch.

Awesome.was stressed about getting a new style and they made me feel calm. I got the new cut and I love it.

I got a great haircut here but they advertised a certain price up front and then changed it at the end of my haircut. A bit dishonest. Would still recommend though.

Sam is the man! Been looking for a barber in Vancouver and stumbled in here today. He gave me the perfect cut in 10 minutes. Efficient, effective and a nice personable guy. I’ll be getting my hair cuts from Sam after today!

Sam at Oxford barber and hair salon at the Davie Street Location was marvelous.

First things first. I have to tell you all, I have never walked out of a hair appointment completely satisfied.until today. I cannot even explain how elated I am feeling having exactly what I wanted done with my hair, actually being done. I don't know how many times I've left salons feeling so disappointed, only to later go home and try to "fix" it myself. Too many times to count.

Sam, did what I wanted, and I would recommend him to the community.

I used to be a regular there. In the last months there seemed to be new hair stylists, and I don't think they really know what they are doing (had a couple of really bad haircuts). In the meantime they jacked up their prices and still only accept cash. I would go somewhere else now.

Had a haircut here and the woman did the exact opposite to what I asked for. Asked to keep it longer at the front and got a haircut that was longer at the back and short at the front.
It seemed like the people in the barbers did not really care. The place was empty and the barber rushed through the haircut, spent the whole time chatting to the person on the till (who wasn't even complying with covid guidelines and was not wearing a mask) and was randomly cutting patches on the top of my head un evenly. I had to go to another barbers to actually fix the haircut!
Do not recommend this place at all to get a haircut, look for any other alternatives than Oxford barbers!

The price is low and Cristian, the Mexican guy did a great job. I will keep going to this place. Cheers.

Pretty pathetic in these times with rules and regulations, protocols set out by the beauty council and worksafe bc this place cant even follow rules and endangering people. Walked by there last night on my way home from work and neither the barber or client was wearing masks. Further down the chairs the other barber was masked up but his client wasnt, wouldn't waste my time in a shop that obviously doesnt care about your health and safety

Wow. Went in after quarantine, place had been painted/reno'd lightly, ATM added in corner.
Not busy. Asked for a cut, explained I didn't want it too short on top, agreed to the length etc.ok good to go.
Glasses were off but I was turned away from the mirror so I couldn't see what he was doing anyway.
"Not too short" was maybe miscommunicated into "not much hair left" because I can't explain it otherwise.
Felt like it was done in a massive rush too despite not being busy.
Grumpy (owner?) guy sitting and staring at whoever was in there and barking out the odd order. Generally awkward.
Maybe a change of ownership over the outbreak period because I've been going here a few year and never had this kind of experience.

I have simple needs and this place is perfect. Prosario listened to my preferences, offered me choices when i couldn't decide, and double checked with me now and then. She was quick yet gentle and precise. Very good price too. 10/10 this shall now be my regular spot.

Not the best place I've had a haircut but it did the job. Cheap price and cash only! Which is very inconvenient but the service was good.

I was getting my hair cut, when another one of the barbers (Roman), not mine, decided to start yelling at the customers. Telling them to "get up, this is a barber shop! Who's next. " When the man cutting my hair told him that a boy, about 10 was next, Roman denied the customer service simply saying "No! " and then chose another customer who had been waiting less time. ROMAN should be fired. I was told that Alex is the owner. Alex, you need to start thinking about who you rent your chairs to.

While visiting Vancouver my daughter decided she wanted a haircut. They got her in quick and the girl who cut her hair did a great job, and everyone else in the shop was super nice and friendly. Well worth the 12 bucks.

When I lived in Van I got my hair cut there all the time. Now I've moved out to Chilliwack and can't find a decent barber who listens to what I want done. So now whenever I'm in Van I go back to this barber shop, because I'm pleased with what they do and the price is right.
