Oz Korean Cuisine

The food at these korean restaurant is very freshly prepared. The prices are in the middle segment. However, the restaurant is nothing very special and the restaurant is much too dark for me personally. However, the service is very friendly and courteous.

The soup base was nice as usual but there is absolutely no veggies and potato in the dish. Not the best pork bone soup I had.

We ate at Oz Korean Cuisine for the first time, and I thought it wasn't too bad. It was not the most crispy Korean chicken I've had, but it was a good meal all together. Their food was more on the spicier end. Even my friend who enjoys spicy food thought it was very spicy. Parking is hard to find around the area. And the service could be better. The servers don't go to you until you call for them, so we sat around for a while, trying to get to go containers and the bill. Guess that's the downside of being seated in an area not visible to the employees

Food and service at OZ is always great. Their fried chicken is very good, not greasy at all. They have large portions for their other dishes, such as their tteokbokki which is delicious!

The food here is delicious. If I could fill up a pool with the sweet and spicy sauce I'd swim in it.

I liked the KFC it was very similar to Ajuker chicken style but mabe even better because oz has more chicken and less batter.
They offer drinks on their menu and a decent atmosphere to chill with friends and drink and eat Korean style.

Hands down the best korean fried chicken in Coquitlam (since JTL hasn't been operating since June 2022). The padak chicken is my favorite here (green onion in a sweet sauce sauce) as the chicken comes out tender and not just the right amount of batter for some crunch.

Took away a star as the spicy pork bone soup just did not deliver. I had to review it as I did order it as well. You literally just get pork bone and soup with no potatoes or even a strand of cabbage. The saving grace was there was quite a bit of meat in the one serving. Saved it as leftover and added potatoes and served with kimchi. With that, the only side dishes they serve is the pickled daikon and cabbage salad (unlimited).

Would definitely recommend the fried chicken anytime of the week, just not the pork bone soup (go to Wang Ga Ma for this.so good).

Amazing food and great service! Oz is by far favourite place to get Korean chicken and all of the staff are extremely friendly and frequently check on us to make sure we are happy

Delicious dishes with reasonable price. I would recommend Padak chicken if you can order one dish! It was so good!

Had the snow cheese and the soy garlic. The snow cheese tastes like macaroni powder but the chicken was good overall. The tteokbokki was more spicy than other places but was still my favourite thing to eat here.

I always go here with my friends! Their food is delicious. If you come in a large group, you should order the Katsu Platter or Chicken Platter, as it honestly makes the ordering process much easier. The service is great too, as well as the atmosphere. I like that the lights are a bit dimmed down because it creates a bit of a cozy feeling. Strongly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious traditional Korean food!

Extremely disappointed with food quality. I thought it was a mistake when food delivered. Amount of dish was extremely small and taste was no good at all.

Excellent! Ordered two dishes of chicken and cold noodles. The fried chicken was probably the best I had; crisp, juicy, but not greasy. There were lots of fresh vegetables in the sides. The place is open late convenient for Northern Coquitlam residents and it has a nice vibe on the inside.

7.5/10: The one thing I love about Oz is its opening hours. It is the one proper restaurant that is open late (12 am) in Coquitlam. However, service at times can be quite slow. Among my few visits to Oz, I had the opportunity to try the pork tenderloin katsu don and the regular, sweet chili, honey butter, and soy fried chicken. The pork tenderloin katsu was delicious. It had a crispy exterior and the even distribution of fat throughout the tenderloin part of the pork created a really juicy cutlet. On the other hand, the house-made sweet katsu don sauce was delicious along with the rice, but I found the rice portion a tad bit too small for the amount of sauce and pork given. Also, the boneless Korean fried chicken in Oz is crispy, delicious, flavorful, and makes the perfect late night snack. The one thing I wish would change about the menu is the ability to get small sizes for all the various flavors rather than the few selected ones on the menu. I found myself ordering a large to share with a friend and still being unable to finish it. Overall, I was not quite a fan of the honey butter fried chicken, as I found the sauce quite bland and mediocre, but I would recommend the sweet chili and the soy fried chicken any day. All in all, if you are not in a hurry and do not mind occasionally waiting extended periods for food to come, Oz is a great place to dine in.

This place a must to go. The chicken, the package meal is beyond extraordinary. Great servers and great place. Highly recommended.

The chicken was good but the beef bulgogi was literally inedible. I had to spit it out and when the waitress asked is everything was good I was honest and told her no. She went back to the kitchen and then told me they said they cooked it properly.so not sure what problem that solves but it definitely didn't solve mine. I didn't eat any of the meat and just had rice for lunch

Everything was GOOD.

OZ is one of the better Korean Fried Chicken places in the Coquitlam area. Their chicken set is consistently delicious, spicy rice cake dish, Tteok-bokki, is always a welcome side.

The ambience is always nice, a good mix of teens, families and couples dining together, and the atmosphere is always lively.

Food is priced reasonably, but I’ve noticed that they’ve increased their prices a little and their portions have shrunk.

Service is a hit and miss, and visiting during dinner time usually results in a long lineup. Our group of 5 waited for about 40 minutes in the freezing rain before being seated and staff were pretty much aloof and didn’t really come by the tables to get refills of water/tea unless you got their attention.

Otherwise, I’d recommend coming here for the food and beer, but not for the service.

I will never recommend this restaurant at all. I ordered a fried chicken 45 munites ago for to go and I wasn't happy at all. I've been to many korean restaurants and I tried the fried chicken this was the worst fried chicken ever I tasted. The chicken not even crispy at all what a waste of my money, never again. I was disgusted.

Authentic korean style chickens with different tastes especially butter honey chicken. Yummy yummy non stop eating.

Gotta be my favourite Korean restaurant in town. The interior is appealing and the staff are really nice. I recommend the dduckochi, seafood pancake, and beef bulgogi hotpot.

Hands down one of the best Korean fried chicken I have ever had.
Service is very good. The host, the waitresses are all polite and friendly. Foods were brought to the table pretty quick.

Went to get takeaway and it was just completely overpriced for what it was. I ordered a large portion of honey butter fried chicken but they totally skimped on giving us actual chicken and basically just gave us fried fat and gristle with little bits of meat. I also ordered a bulgogi don and japchae and for both the beef was so chewy and also mainly fat with the bulgogi being under flavored and the rice undercooked. The japchae was also lacking in flavour. Overall a disappointing experience and I won't be going back.

Went there for dinner last night with a couple of buddies and ordered: Dduckbokki, Half & Half, Tenderloin Katsu Don & Pitcher of Beer. The food came out fast, fresh & super flavorful & the service was top notch.

If you're tired of the same old fried chicken you should definitely check this place out. Completely different, out of this world and boneless! That among many other traditional Korean dishes!

Had the half and half fried boneless chicken and bulgolgi beef don. Very good. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside.

I’m a big fan of Oz’s Half and Half fried chicken which allows you to share two different flavours of fried chicken. The portions are great. I did not like the Spicy Chicken Hot Pot as much but the their friend chicken is simply WOW

I heard from people and read reviews that this place is really good. So I decided to take my boyfriend and siblings for chicken and beer on a Saturday night. When we arrived there was a waiting list and so I wrote my name and there were 4 names above us. So we waited and waited then later it has been 30 or 40 mins we have been waiting. And my boyfriend noticed the waiter let these 2 boys who randomly came out of nowhere and gave them a table. And so I was furious and checked the waiting list and apparently the 4 names above us has not changed and above us they crossed someone name. We decided to leave and go somewhere else. Terrible experience even though we wanted to try the food their customer service and favoritism is so bad that they put their friends ahead of others. They never even called us back either.

Food is great here, the padak chicken is one of my favourite ones, also had the cheese pork cutlet also would definitely recommend. They have a platter you could get for fried chicken which is good so you can try a little bit of everything.

Super affordable. That chicken platter is like a gift that keeps on giving! So delicious. Service was super friendly and efficient as well.

By far the best Korean chicken I’ve tasted in Vancouver (well, Coquitlam)! We love the Padak chicken and the Cheese one. Kimchi fried rice was also bomb. 100% would recommend, definitely would go back if we happen to be in that area again. So delicious!

Worst service I have ever received. Had to ask the server to take our order. Tried to get a water refill 3 times and was ignored by the servers each time. Won't be coming back. Felt really unwanted here.

Smaller portions as time goes and the price keeps getting more expensive. I like the food however not a place you can go often.

The food is delicious, I waited a little because there were many people. But it's okay because it's popular.

Came here on a busy Sunday. When we seat down, the server brought us cold water, I right away asked for a hot water, then server reply the hot water was not ready. (I thought that was odd) after 15 mins when all the food arrived, she then brought me a glass of hot tea. I was very impressed that she remembers considering how busy they are!

The deep fried chicken is just as good as usual and the Japchai was also very good today

Nothing special here. Was so much better when it was Makoto, because they knew exactly what to do with a charbroiler. This incarnation does not.

It is popular to order the Korean Fried Chicken here. They have a large section on the menu for it. If you're cautious about eating fried food, everything else on the menu is also delicious.

The service here is incredible. It is the main reason that I am writing this review without delay. First of all, the host was all smiles, and cared like only an owner would. It didn't stop there. We wanted a side of kimchi, which wasn't included in anything we ordered on our first round. So we asked for it at an additional cost. Later on, we ordered a soup, that comes with kimchi. We didn't even think of it, but the server said she's taking it off, because its included. It was a little thing. We would never have noticed. How did the server even remember this detail? Awesome staff. You guys must be treating them well. Just their natural helpful attitude makes all the difference.

We enjoyed everything we ate.

This is Quality Deep Fried Chicken! If I could afford to come eat lunch here everyday I most certainly would, I'd be 300lbs at 5"8 but I still would! My favorite dish is Butter Garlic Boneless Chicken if you have not tried it. What are you doing?

This place has really good korean fried chicken. Great to share as the plate sizes for the chicken is larger than some other places i have gone to.

The best place for korean chicken in coquitlam. The portions seemed to have shrunk over the years but it is still reasonable.

I was so excited to try a new Korean eatery but It took so long to be seated and a few hours after eating the meal we both had symptoms of food poisoning it took us a couple days to feel better. Never gonna go there

Great fried chicken! The soy and Padak are our go to! Large portion and great flavour.
The kimchi fried rice is something I crave. Just the right amount of heat, crispy veggies and perfectly fried egg.
This place gets busy so don't be surprised if there is a bit of a line.

Excellent Korean food joint that me and my girl frequent.

They have succulent deepfried korean chicken that tastes great and comes in a large quantity. The side dishes are classic and good. I have thoroughly enjoyed their good cheese deepfried pork tonkatsu dish as well as their spicy kimchi udon dish. I have also tried the korean Jjampong (짬뽕) which was spicy for be (but not enough for my girlfriend).

Parking is inconvenient but free, you simply have to do a bit of walking and buzzing to open the gate. Call before you arrive and inquire about parking.

Pricing is decent to normal.

I recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Yum food and good value at this casual Korean restaurant. Yes, the huge fried chicken plate is a crowd pleaser, but the side plates really make me happy. Among other things, order the sqwooshy-rice Bulgogi side; you’ll be very glad you did.

The food was good, friend chicken seems to be there speciality. We tried the combo of regular and chilli sauce. The chicken was juicy and crispy, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the chilli sauce. We also tried their cheese donkatsu and oyakadon, the tonkatsu was flavoured well just the protein was dry. The oyakadon was favorful and moist. As we were waiting for some friends, they never brought over any water etc, and when we were ready to order they never made any eye contact (almost seems like trying to avoid it), overall the service was just bare minimally

This place is my mosr favorite restaurant in the greater Vancouver area thus far.i have tried a variety of there items and always go there for the chicken karaage. This fried chicken is far better than most i have tried. Only homemade karaage is capable of being better.

The food is not bad but you can get better if you travel a little bit away to North Road. They put on their menu in the description on their katsu don with egg on top but underneath +2 for extra cheese. If you order the extra cheese, it's not apparent, but you pay 2 dollars more AND you lose your EGG. If it's two dollars EXTRA why do you lose the egg? Why does the waitress act like it's the most logical thing in the world when the picture shows both egg and cheese on the katsu don? !? !? !? ! Mind baffling!
