Pacific Angler Fishing Charters - Salmon Fishing

Had an amazing first time fishing charter experience for my birthday! My fiancee surprised me with this experience and we had an amazing time on our 5 hour charter. Nolan was great and was very knowledgeable and helpful for us first timers. Would highly recommend this to anyone, 10/10 experience.

I booked a five hour trip as a surprise for my partner’s 30th birthday and it was amazing! Communication with Kathryn to coordinate booking was easy and she was very friendly and accommodating- excellent customer service! The day of, it was quite easy to find the place with the directions provided. Our guide Josh was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us an incredible fishing experience! Half of us had fishing experience but the other half not so much. Josh made everyone feel included and was on top of everything. He also had great knowledge of the area as he was born and raised nearby. I’m sure on a slower fishing day he could have spoke about a lot more but we honestly didn’t have more than a ten minute lull. We maxed out on our take home (2 per person). Coordinating getting the fish sent back to us was also very easy. Everyone in our group had a great time! I should also say they we felt very safe to whole time as well. 10/10 recommend! I would even book this again at a different time of year so we could catch / take home different salmon species.

If you’re looking to book a fishing charter and get out onto the waters around Vancouver within the Georgia Strait or Howe Sound - IMO Pacific Angler is the only choice! I have chartered numerous times over several years throughout the various fishing seasons with Pacific Angler and have never been disappointed. All of the Guides are extremely knowledgeable of the area and the fisheries.
On our most recent trip for Chinook and Coho, we had over 20 fish in the boat, multiple double-headers, and made sure we stayed within our limits. What an awesome day on the water with Captain Eddie - always very successful with getting onto the fish, or knowing when to move and look for the right indicators if they aren’t biting!

Travelled to Vancouver from Halifax for a week. We travelled through whistler and surrounding areas before heading back to spend two nights in Vancouver. Hands down our fishing trip with pacific angler was our favourite part out of everything we did! Dezai was our guide and made us feel comfortable and was no time finding the fish for us. We caught around 15 salmon total and also caught crabs in a trap we set on the way out! All of the guides had successful trips that day but I highly recommend asking for Dezai!

LOVED this so much and would do it again in a heartbeat. Eddie was our guide and was super professional, such a great guy to be on a.boat with for 6 hours. We encountered a rather chilly and rough wave day, but he made sure we all had fun and caught some salmon! I would absolutely book Eddie again and look forward to when we’re next in Vancouver so that we can!

We had a wonderful time. Scheduling was easy and our captain (Eddie) was very knowledgeable and friendly. He had some great stories of the area and also great fishing stories. Captain Eddie took us to an area where there were a lot of fish and he is a very skilled fisherman. We got some great catches! The boat was well maintained and clean. We went with our three boys and everyone had a great time. We can’t wait to go again!

On July 7,2023 a friend and myself took a fishing charter with Pacific Angler. The booking person was Kathryn and our guide was Dezai.

We were taken to the Bowen Island area and within ten minutes we had the first Coho on. The fishing was absolutely outstanding, 15 Salmon on the line for the day. The gear was top notch and the day was perfect.

I would like to thank Pacific Angler and Dezai for being completely knowledgeable and professional in all ways. Dezai's knowledge of the waters and fishing methods was spot on. He was absolutely personable and helpful and gave us a wonderful day.

Four of us went on a 5 hour fishing trip with Captain Dezai. We had a blast and managed to catch 3 keeper Chinooks, along with a dozen smaller salmon. Dezai was very knowledgeable, personable and knew how to instruct complete beginners. 10/10 experience, I'd love to go fishing again with Captain Dezai!

Went out with Pacific Angler for the third time this season and as always it was a 10/10 day! Can't wait for the next trip!

My son has been begging for a trip like this for years! He loves fishing - and catching! Our trip out from Granville Island didn't disappoint. We all had a great experience! Our guide knew just where to take us. We caught so much fish. Quota'd in a couple hours, then went looking for the big ones in the secret spots!
We'll be heading back out with Pacific Angler again next time for sure.

We went out with a bachelor party and snagged two boats. Both Josh and Eddie were great captains and made sure we reeled in a good amount of salmon. We also got to some Dungeness crab and it made for a nice feast. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely awesome! Our guide Josh was an unreal host, he made sure everyone was looked after and found us lots of fish. He even got us a couple double headers. As for booking, Kathryn was all over it. Super organized and quick to respond. Thank you.

Excellent family experience with Captain Jake! My family of four was having a short vacation in Vancouver decided to book a full day, salmon and spot prawn charter with a Pacific Angler which turned out to be a great decision. Jake was absolutely fantastic, a very personable and outgoing young man, who made all of us feel comfortable and gave the right amount of education and direction. We dropped some spot prawn nets and then started fishing and were landing salmon within 15 minutes of having our lines in the water.

By the end of the day we had landed a lot of salmon, kept two nice ones and did very well with the prawn traps and kept over 100 nice ones. Overall we can’t say enough good things about Pacific Angler and our captain Jake!

I recently went out on a guided saltwater trip with Pacific Angler on Feb 3,2023 targeting winter chinook and prawns. I was referred to this trip by Gavin Lau who works at the Pacific Angler store and I'm so glad that I ended up booking this trip because it was phenomenal. Our guide was Jake Comrie and he was fantastic all around and arguably one of the top saltwater guides I've been with. I enjoyed his high level of energy and passion for fishing that he brought to the excursion. We had about 13 hookups with fish and were able to retain our maximum limits both on winter chinook and prawns for the day. Aside from hauling in the catch, I appreciated Jake's high customer service level and knowledge of the local waters, and fishery. In addition, his boating skills were excellent especially when weather conditions changed which they did at times during our outing. All in all, it was a terrific outing and one of my top saltwater fishing trips ever.

On a final note, as it relates to my guided fishing trip, I enjoyed the overall client experience with Pacific Angler. Their staff are extremely service-oriented and just a pleasure to work with. Lee Miller sent me a well-organized itinerary ahead of the trip to get me prepared for the outing and he even called me the day before the trip to update me on the latest weather conditions and to address any questions I might have had.

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with Pacific Angler as a professional fishing guide. They are a highly experienced team of angling professionals and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in a fishing trip.

Had a memorable winter Chinook trip with Pacific Angler. With Jake as our guide and were treated with professionalism, politeness, and most importantly, FISH! We caught our limit for the day and learnt a wealth of knowledge about the winter Chinook fishery. I highly recommend taking a trip with this outfit, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve been out with Pacific Anglers a few times and can say without a doubt they are the best operation around. The guides are professional and know how to entertain and we’ve had a blast no matter the weather. Highly recommend!
