I've been coming here for SIX YEARS! This joint saved me from having to shave my head completely and looking 15 yrs older than i do (33 now). At 20 i started losing my hair (receding hairline first), so i saw a dermatologist and they recommended 2% monoxodil. When I didn't see any results after 4 months, i went up to 5% and my skin started to get crazy dry.especially my lips.it was so uncomfortable so i stopped cold turkey.after a few more months i saw another derm and started on propecia (oral). I started to sweat like crazy, but the specialist told me to continue to see results. 5 more months and nothing.i didn't have $$$ for a hair transplant and was told if i waited too long i wouldnt have enough donor hair.my uncle had a really bad experience at HC and told me that these people were all the same.i came and met with them 3 times for free before i felt comfortable dropping a dime, and the 3rd time i came in there was actually another brown dude in there getting his hair done so i chatted with him haha.seemed legit enough.got an install of a lace front with and the styler faded my sides.now i wear a poly trim option because it sticks better with the glue my hair line looks pretty clean and fresh and some of my own family dont know i'm wearing it.

For the past 10 years, I've struggled with hair loss, starting from the age of 19. This condition has greatly impacted my self-esteem and overall quality of life. The gradual thinning of my hair and receding hairlines have caused constant worry and anxiety.

In my quest to combat hair loss, I explored various methods. I tried minoxidil (Rogaine), but unfortunately, it provided limited results for me personally, despite being effective for some individuals. I also experimented with Toppik, a hair-building fiber product, but it had its drawbacks. It works best for people with some existing hair and doesn't provide sufficient coverage for significant hair loss. I started experiencing noticeable hair loss when I was 19-years-old and the thinning continued until I had significant thinning by they time I was 23 (I’m 27 now). As a young man dealing with premature balding, this had a divesting effect on my confidence and self esteem. I felt like I couldn’t leave the house without wearing a hat and would go to great lengths to avoid being in photographs.

I’ve worked as a stage actor since I was seventeen, and this made me hyper aware of my ever thinning hair. In Film and TV, casting makes their choices based off of looks primarily, and as 27-year-old bald man, I felt my choices for casting were very limited and felt like had a huge impact on my career. I never tried to remedy my hair loss other than wearing hats to hide it or just shaving it all off. I did, however, recently try topical solution, and although I noticed some decrease in thinning, the hair I had lost did not come back.

The hairpiece looks and feels fantastic! I barely notice I have it on and it behaves like a whole head of hair. It looks so natural that nobody who has seen my thinning hair before could tell that it is a hairpiece. The hardest thing to deal with so far is just getting used to having hair again.

I have thinning hair and finally took the plunge and got a half wig. I’ve loved it and it’s increased my confidence tenfold. My initial 6 months of services went well, but things took a turn at that point and that is the reason for my two star review.

Before reading any further, please know that Pacific essentially buys their reviews from clients by giving them a discount for services. Their services and pieces are very expensive so I can see why many people would want to give a review. The more reviews you give, the bigger the discount you get! And of course they know who you are so you don’t want to give them a bad review and generally I think the services are good. Just know that before engaging with them and DYOR as there are other service providers out there.

1) they attached my half wig lop sided…it was not centered on my head! As my natural hair grew out, it became even more accentuated as the side that was heavier hung down more and more with each week that passed. I mentioned this to the technician at my next appointment to make sure this scenario was not repeated. Unfortunately the exact same thing happened! The tech was new and was honestly doing her absolute best so I don’t fault her. She even passed along my feedback and after a couple of weeks they reached out by email to ask if I was happy. This was great…except they didn’t handle the feedback well at all and they ignored some issues while making excuses for other. At my next visit I had to take control of positioning the wig, but I am not the professional here.

2) each time they took the half wig off, there was lots of what looked like dead skin and each time the tech said it’s fine, there is no buildup so we never washed my hair. (Of course I wash it weekly with my wig on as per their instructions and I was told that if you wash it properly there would be no buildup). As time passes my head started to get really itchy and each visit the “debris” became worse and worse until I requested it be washed. My scalp hadn’t been scrubbed for over 6 months and it was so sore for the days that followed, but the itching went away. I’ve decided that it’s probably a good idea to wash it at each maintenance visit. Sadly the cost to simply wash the hair is $40! They say wash and style but there’s no styling when you put a wig overtop it. It should be half that price for the 10mins it takes IMO. They aren’t up front about their pricing either…you have to drag it out of them. So if you plan to do business with them, it would be wise to ask for all their pricing up front so you can see what you’re committing to.

Furthermore I’ve been researching other service providers and talking to other industry experts. I had a consultation with one of these experts for free. She examined how my wig is attached and could see where my hair has already fallen out where they’ve been attaching it! She said that eventually there will be nothing left to attach it to and I’ve only been doing this 9 months. I kind of agree with her because they remove balls of my own hair when they do the maintenance visit with aggressive combing of my already thin and fine hair. She also said the method they use to attach it isn’t great because the track pulls your hair upwards in the opposite direction your hair naturally grows. Again that seems logical to me. Lastly she said it’s not good to keep a wig on your head all the time and recommended a different type of attachment method so my scalp can breathe and be washed. Again I tend to agree after my experience.

So I’ve been sold a product that might not be not good for the health of my remaining real hair with very high ongoing maintenance costs (close to $300 every six weeks with tip). I’m going to switch to clips and see how it goes. I play sports and am also a low maintenance type of person so I liked the ease of not having to do much each morning, but I don’t think this is sustainable and I hate to pay so much for lousy and potentially dishonest service in terms of whether this wig is good for the long term health of my remaining hair.

Incredibly friendly, helpful staff, all working to make sure folks can love their hair (like I do, finally!). If you're self-conscious about your hair and prefer not to go the surgical route, I cannot recommend Pacific highly enough!

When I was 24 I got a bad chemical burn on my scalp. My hair started falling out rapidly, and through the years has progressively gotten worse. I have tried numerous products including special shampoos, natural remedies, a store-bought serum (which was later banned because it was causing cancer), a variety of oils, and most recently hair building fibres that I’m sure has exasperated my hair loss more!

Due to the pandemic, I was very nervous about visiting Pacific Hair but was quickly surprised by the safety measures they have in place! Before I even met with them, there was a detailed email of what to expect as well as questions to ensure that I was not exposed or feeling ill. I was to call upon my arrival, they took my temperature before even walking in the door and immediately brought me to a handwashing station. I was then escorted to a private room. All of the staff had face coverings. Some even wore both a mask and a shield! I was thoroughly impressed.

My new hairpiece feels and looks amazing! I find myself running my fingers through my hair because it feels so soft and looks so natural. I couldn’t help but post selfie’s and that’s something that I would never normally do! I’m usually hiding behind a hat!

I love how secure the personalized clips make the my piece feel so natural! It was super windy yesterday and I could just allow my hair to fly in the wind. I finally feel confident enough to making eye contact with strangers and am so thankful I will no longer clog my hair follicles with products that are only going to make the problem worse.

Sarah is the best hair stylist/colorist I've ever met! She blows my mind with how precise and intricate she is. The way she strategically plans out the colouring and placement is beyond comprehension. After my last colouring after a full year I didn't even have any roots because she matched my colour placement so perfectly! I have been dealing with hair loss for about 8 years, and it has affected so much in my life since it started. Anytime that someone placed a mirror behind my head so that I could see how bad my baldness was increasing, and it was always horrible to notice and disappointing. I have tried different kinds of products, from pills, shampoos, oils, gummies, to even carrot scraps rubbing my scalp and none of them actually worked. Except only by a medicine that a doctor prescribed me called Trichoplus which only stops the hair loss for a while.
I cannot thank enough Fanta for her dedicated and amazing job and her team for what they did implanting a hair piece on my head. Staff always are very warm, friendly and so willing to answer the millions of questions that I had before the hair installment. Specially I would like to thank Sarah who was my hairstylist, she did such an amazing job, very sweet and perfectionist. Covid safety precautions are a 10! They were all wearing masks, I got a temperature check, hand-wash and a private room all the time. The quality of the hairpieces is awesome, it matches perfectly my hair color and mixed up so evenly. I am still quite impressed how great the hairpiece feels on my head and the best part is it's real hair, not fake or plastic wig.

I got a troubleshooting guide with all the spots covered in case something is going wrong, but so far I haven't had any problem at all, only positive comments about how great my hair looks and that my hairstyle glows. I also received a kit with natural sulfate and parabens free shampoo, natural conditioner, gel and other products to keep the hair piece in great condition.

I am happy that I have found pacific hair loss. Dealing with hair loss is a story of my which started early in my life 18-19 and significant loss showed at around 21 and I have been battling it ever since 10+ years. At first I started using shampoos with the hope to reverse the hair loss and the more time passed by the more severe the hair loss became due to that I have tried all sorts of different hair loss products none of which worked. In the last year I have tried going bald for a while but after a while I highly disliked the bald look and decided to try one more time. Minoxidil was supposed to work even better but after a couple months of trying I saw no difference more of what I saw is that it is slowly getting worse. So I went on the hunt for alternative methods that could give me what I was looking for and found pacific hair loss. On the day of the appointment I was not sure as to what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism following covid protocols. Starting with being let into the building, hand washing and then most importantly the private room for the procedure. During the whole process I felt safe and was assured that covid won’t been an issue during this procedure. It is really great to see that business adapt and make services available in such uncertain times by going the extra mile. Once the hair piece was presented initially I honestly wasn’t to convinced that it is going to look good but after it has been put on with care and cut I was so surprised as to how great the quality is of the hairpiece, how it felt and how great it looked. Very nice staff accommodating the girls who did my hair did a nice job putting it in but I had to get it fixed not once but twice as the hairpiece itself was not together properly also the color I agreed upon and the color I got were quite different but all in all it looks great and they did do a good job.

I chose Pacific Hair Loss Solutions because I wanted a semi-permanent solution for my hair. Their hair extension technique doesn't damage your natural hair, and allows the hair extensions to be reused. I had my first set of extensions for over a year! The girls are all really nice and they understand that hair, particularly hair loss, can be very emotional. I would highly recommend Pacific Hair for extensions.
