My family really enjoyed their time at The Raptors. Tickets are inexpensive and the aerial show was amazing!

This place is amazing! We had a lot of fun. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. I have wanted to come here for years so I’m glad I finally got the chance. Will definitely visit again. We did the “closest” tour. Highly recommend!

Went for the medieval knight experience and we were not disappointed! Our kid had a blast and the show was very engaging.

A wide range of birds, the air show featured Bald Eagle, Gyrfalcon and Owl, which was very entertaining. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Fun experience seeing the birds and the flying show. If you like think kind of place, see also North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre, a short drive northwest of Nanaimo.

We had such an amazing time here. We purchased tickets for the closest encounter. This gave us an opportunity to meet, hold and learn about 3 raptors up close (peregrine falcon, owl and gyrfalcon) ; take a "hawk walk", where a free roaming, trained hawk swooped down to our gloves; and enjoyed a flying demo with five different species of raptors. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Meeting these creatures up close was an incredible experience.

Next time I'd do the hawk encounter.

My husband gifted my son, himself and I the Closer 2 hour experience. It was very educational and very cool to meet all the different Raptors and go on a hawk walk with Lulu the Harris hawk. We were also able to hold about 5 other Raptors on our leather glove. We got to take some pictures and learn about each bird. I loved every minute!

We got lots of hand time and flying them. We will totally do this again when we are in the area.

This place is amazing! The staff were wonderful and had so much knowledge to impart. The birds were incredible, the habitats were enriching and the gift shop was really good too with reasonable prices and a nice selection of gifts. I will definitely be back!

One of the best things I have done on the Island. Beautiful creatures being very well looked after! Staff are friendly and well informed. You can hold, fly and feed the birds! The flying demo is fantastic. Huge eagle flying inches over your head.

This is one of my favorite places to go on the island. I always have a great time. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Have been back multiple times.

Two Australians visiting a 'tourist attraction' and it was excellent! The bird flight demo.was exceptionally entertaining and informative with a brilliant bird handling commentary by Brooke that really made 'the show'. Can highly recommend for a true value for money experience and if Brooke is your flight demonstrator, you won't be disappointed! Congratulations on a top attraction for all age groups.would actually make a return visit!

Take the raptor encounter it’s worth it.

It's a great place with knowledgeable staff, gorgeous birds, well trained, and it a place that should be more spoken about. They do so many cool things, events, and important things for the environment and people should know more about them. Just the general admission is already worth to go and see one of the scheduled flying demonstrations. We did the closer experience and could meet and see from super close to our faces a beautiful (and light) hawk landing on our arms. I recommend to visit them!

We had such a great time visiting! We loved seeing the bird show and seeing all the birds, would definitely recommend checking out if you're an animal lover!

Great diversity, great knowledge, excellent demonstration. We loved it even though we had to strain to hear because a fuse blew in the PA system halfway through the flight demonstrations. Our eight year old had to see all the raptors three times before we left.

You have to go and see these majestic birds. We chose "closer" and got to see a Harris Hawk "Lulu" land on our gloved hands. It was unbelievable. We stayed for the 230 showing and they had hawks, vultures, owls, and falcons flying in and around the crowd. Also learned a lot and have a new appreciation for these awesome creatures. Seriously fun. You should go.

We just happened to spot the sign when we drove by and quickly decided we’d be back the next day.

The flight demonstration was amazing, I’ve never had an experience where large birds have flown so close to me before. My kids (3 and 6) were equally enthralled. We had arrived to see the first demonstration, and then checked out the birds in the aviaries, and both kids asked to stay for another demonstration. The 2nd demonstration had 3/4 new birds so it felt like a whole new experience. It was also interesting to see a moment when a bird took off for a bit, and how the trainers handled it. All the staff was very professional and seemed well trained.

Unfortunately, our kids were too young for the added experiences (and one too young for even the kids experience), as they were both asking to see more! Just another reason to come back when they’re older. I would highly suggest the hands on experiences if you’re able to, as I feel like it would have added a whole other level. I will be recommending this experience to anyone we know visiting the area. Thank you!

Logistics stuff - lots of parking, including some on the shade. Bathroom available, as well as 4 picnic tables to snack. They do sell some snacks, but you’re able to bring outside food.

Went here for the first time today, and I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to visit! I am a total bird lady and it was so cool to see the birds perform, up close, and such a wide variety! The staff are very professional and handle the birds incredibly. This is an activity for all ages, I'd fully recommend giving Raptors a visit!

The raptors are amazing and beautiful. We paid for the closest encounter and it was totally worth it. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to answer questions. Highly recommended

What a wonderful experience! The flying demos were very well done and very educational! My close encounter was AMAZING! Such a thrill to be so close to these beautiful birds!

Was my first time going today! I will definitely be going back to check out another show and maybe try to get in on meeting a few of the beautiful birds!

Awesome experience to see lots of different kinds of birds, they did a great flying show with eagles hawks and even a vulture. After visiting my car battery died and they were even kind enough to jump my car for me! Awesome place with awesome people! 6/5 stars!

The experience was such a great one, super friendly staff, very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. Really enjoyed the flying demonstration shows and watching the stork fly after two years! Amazing experience. It's a must see!

One of my favourite places to spend a day off. Fantastic work done by passionate folks with these birds. The flight demonstrations are always great and there’s something new to learn, no matter how many times you have been. Opt for the hands on experience if you can, it’s well worth the price difference

THIS PLACE WAS SO COOL! Had the Raptor Experience for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was unbelievable cool getting so up close and personal with the birds. Highly recommend to anyone for an interesting, informative, fun day.

I met Danali, bald eagle, at The Raptors Visitor Centre in the heart of the Cowichan Valley, British Columbia. I was impressed by the staff's dedication to promoting conservation and raising awareness for birds of prey. It's worth a visit!

We had the best time! We chose the raptor experience and it was so worth it. Amanda was a great guide and we learned so much. Highly recommend. The flying demonstration was also awesome. The host was very knowledgable and he had a great sense of humour.

Bit expensive now that they don't have the flying demos. That's more of a COVID fault then theirs though.

I took my dad here for his birthday this year. It was a truly incredible experience! Everyone there was very nice, extremely knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions. The birds there all have a wonderful habitat to live their best lives, while having their needs taken care of. The owner has brought a passion project to fruition here.

My daughter and myself had a great experience.

She learned the difference between birds of prey and raptors and the importance they have on our environment; as well as breeding and places of origin for most of the birds. The presentation was exciting. We got to see a Coopers Hawk, Turkey Vulture, Bald Eagle, Grey Horned Own and a Black Vulture.

We will be back for sure.

The Raptors is an amazing venue.where else could you possibly get so close to birds of prey. The flying demonstrations are incredible.you can actually have a Raptor on your gloved arm. There is an incredible assortment of birds.

Beautiful park like setting with clean cage enclosures for the birds. The birds are gorgeous to view up close amd Kyle the one winged Raven is a saucy, silly treat to visit. He's my favorite.
