Pacific Rim Fishing Charters & Guest Lodge

If you’re looking for clean, comfortable and beautiful accommodation this is the place for you! My partner and I had such a wonderful experience here, the owners were wonderful people, incredibly accommodating. We got to see how hard they work on the upkeep (seriously, spotless!) and we chatted about all the recent upgrades they’ve made. Our room had a 2 person tub, a super comfortable bed and full coffee bar! Beautiful view of the mountains from our room!

Check in was a breeze, Ucluelet as a whole was absolutely gorgeous, there was the most beautiful trail we’ve ever done! (Wild Pacific trail, 5min drive)

Glenn built the place himself and he can tell you all about the lodge and the surrounding town, and the right restaurants to visit. We had the most incredible meals and view at the blackrock bar and grill & breakfast/dinner restaurant, less than 15 minute walk away. Over all 10/10 we will be back!

The BEST! Our room was gorgeous, we loved our soaker tub and the bed was super comfortable. One of the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in and I've traveled way more for work than I would like to admit. Diana was so kind and lovely, and I loved seeing the dogs living their best life in the boat yard! I was sad to leave my beautiful room, and I can't wait to come back to Ucluelet and stay here again one day. Thank you for the beautiful space and experience!

Booked: Large Executive two Queen room with Living Room and Fireplace for 330$ a night for August 22nd.

If you wanna see the "living room", well, it's already in this picture! According to the owner a couch makes a living room.
You are also looking at the fireplace on the far left. Yes, that little table with the IMAGE of a fire, and the TV on top is a FIREPLACE!
After discovering I have been misled I asked to owner to cancel my booking, and they refused. I told them I would contact booking, and they said they wouldn't do anything: they were right.
Bottom line, it was $330 for JUST ONE SIMPLE ROOM OF A CHEAP MOTEL WITH SQUEAKY WOODEN FLOOR.

Also, spare yourself the trouble to go to TOFINO/UCLUELET. It's really a tourist trap. The road to get there (hours of line) is just not worth it.

My family and I booked a stay and fishing charter here last week. The room was super clean and well put together!

The fishing charter was incredible! Our guide Josh was extremely knowledgeable and knew the perfect spots to fish. He was setting the lines as fast as we could reel in the fish while giving us helpful advice the entire time.

I would 100% recommend this place if you are looking for a top of the line fishing charter and a cozy place to stay.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at Pacific Rim Fishing Charters & Guest Lodge. I always go with my friend Alan who has been staying there for 10 years for his annual Ucluelet fishing trip. Glen and Diana are wonderful hosts. They are so nice and share their local knowledge of the area.
The rooms are immaculately kept! It is always a fantastic experience to stay there every year!

This place is great! You can pay less (or perhaps more) and stay in a motel in town that's 60 years old or you can stay off the beaten path at this place. It's up the hill from the gas station (the co-op station I think) and next to a park/baseball field. It's also real close to amazing hiking trails along the coast. Great clean rooms with a nice sofa and sitting area. Plenty of room. There is also a really large deck area outside with plenty of tables to sit back and enjoy the view and sunset. Glenn and Diana are great people and fun to be around as well. I'll be going back (again) next year.

You definitely don't want landlords like that!

We had to turn around on the way out because of a violent bushfire that blocked the only highway going to Ucluelet-Tofino. We immediately canceled the 2 nights we had just booked. But we should still pay about 450 CAD.
The only concession after a long discussion was to postpone the date. But the road had not yet been cleared at that time either. A much longer alternative forest road may only be used for supplies and emergencies. In addition, we are not allowed to drive the rental car on unpaved roads.
The landlord denied all this and even after 10 days of lockdown still said we could easily come. He doesn't want to give money back. We fly back to Germany without having seen Ucluelet, but paid for it.

That leaves no feeling of hospitality in this country!
