Pajo's Fish & Chips at Steveston Wharf

The fish might not be great, and the chips are subpar, but it's worth trying once due to the interesting way they serve the food.

My husband grew up going to this place all the time as a kid and he has taken me many times over the last few years and it’s always been really good.

I never use to like fish and chips… then I came here and not I can’t get enough!

Everything I’ve tried has been really good but the cod tacos are by far my fave. (My husband was jealous when I ordered them and he saw how good they were haha)

Quite average fish and chips. Nothing that would make it stand out from the other places and it’s quite pricy but that’s given in the area. If you haven’t tried it would recommend giving it a shot but not worth repeat visit.

Very good food, the fish and chips are very good, both the halibout and the salmon. But the sandwiches are the star, the cod is excellent and the everything burger is one of the best I've ever eaten in my life.

Just want to let you know what a great job your staff did on the Labour Day holiday Saturday. We decided to do the 1/2 hour drive to Stevestron for your fish and chips - it was worth it! We were surprised how big the crowds to order were and most of the seats on the dock were taken plus all the tables up on the wharf. The lineup to order was to the bottom of the ramp. I expected a big delay and not so good fish and chips.
It didn't take long to order and it was only a few minutes before our order (1 cod & chips, 2 cod & chips, & drinks) was ready for us. The fish was really hot, the batter great and the chips were from real potatoes. My wife was impressed all around.
BTW - your staff did a great job.
Well done Pajo's - we'll be back.

I literally wait here for 1hr 30 mins to get a portion of fish and chips shocking! Unbelievable fish and chips but purely based on how long you've to wait! Id never come back! I dont think I've ever waited more than 20 mins for a fish and chips but 1hr and 30 mins is just ridiculous!

Decent place to get food near Stevenson, but I feel that it's a little bit overpriced.

I’ve been a regular customer for several years and usually order cod tacos. Unfortunately as of recently the quality has declined, in my today’s order there was lots of batter and a tiny peace of fish. French fries were dry, dark and tasteless. They looked like leftovers from the day before. It’s unfortunate as this place used to be one of my favourite spots.

My family and I went there to Pajos fish and chips. I was trying to use my birthday buy one get one free deal on the Pajos app. I tried to order 1 cod, halibut and salmon with chips and get one free but for some reason the app wouldn't allow it. So I had to order it at the counter and Jacob was nice enough to do the process at the counter so therefore I got a buy one get one free deal. The fishes tasted great.

Fish was delicious and had the halibut, but the French fries were dry and not that great. I think they need a bigger cut of fry.

The Amazing Ladies at Pajos served us the tastiest Cod Pieces and even gave an extra piece since we drove 1000 km to try it!

Overrated. The fish (we got one each of cod, salmon and halibut) was bland and tough, the chips were soggy and unseasoned. The batter was crispy and tasty, but overall not worthwhile. Line moves pretty quickly, especially compared to Red Fish Blue Fish in Victoria (much, much better fish and chips, highly recommend). We were lucky to have a short wait, otherwise I would've deeply regretted wasting my time and caloric budget here. Try anywhere else - this can't be the best that Steveston has to offer.

The fish was very tasty. I had their poutine and it was delicious. The heavy tested like a been gravy which went very well with the fry's. They're tartar sauce was very delightful light and tangy.

As always, absolute halibut and chips perfection at Pajo's, plus lovely quick service and seating right on the Steveston wharf. Visited today with my granddaughter and introduced her to Pajo's halibut, which she'd never had before. She was over the moon (we both were) because the food was so good. Plus, bottomless pop as well as chips? !? !? ! Wow! We took the bus out from Kitsilano to visit Steveston and loved everything about the place. Charming shops, charming people working in those shops, and an all-around delightful day. But the highlight was those gorgeous fish and chips at Pajo's.

Yes, it's expensive. But that's not Pajo's fault. The price of fish is off the chart. Have you ever tried to buy fresh halibut? Not something that graces my table often! It's a very special treat once in awhile and nobody does it better than Pajo's. Perfection! We give it 11/10!

We lucked up to find this place in Richmond BC for lunch. Halibut and chips were great with free refills on chips and drinks.

Lovely sunny afternoon eating surrounded by fishing boats and water. Excellent cod and chips and a laid back atmosphere that can't be beat.

Went there cus of the big hype this place has. The fish was very oily and batter was falling off. Ordered the one of all with halibut and got salmon instead. I kept buying drinks but no one recommended the bottomless fountain option. Was it worth the hype …. Not for me

Fish and chips are good. For those that don't know chips are bottomless. Reason for only 3 stars is the pieces of fish are about half the size of what they were just a few years ago. One piece of fish is about 3 bites.

Very delicious & yummy Surprised with the high quality beef in Everything Burger, not like the cheap patty out there. Fishes are very fresh too, and zucchini sticks were juicy. Worth the price! Will definitely come back.

First time here, we waited 45 minutes to order the food and then another 55 minutes for the food, the service was very slow, we ordered 2 portions of 2 piece cod and chips. The food was great but not worth the wait!

The wait for 1.5 hours and the quantity not worth to come here. More better places in lower mainland or Whiterock then this.

I've driven all the way from Vancouver South! To be honest, first time experience coming to this location,

I've ordered 6 Fresh Cod and Fries and bottomless pop. It's Fresh off the grill, I can honestly tell this experience was my WOW factor, friendly staff and the atmosphere was spectacular. Sitting on a floating spot!
