Our 3 daughters (8 to 11) took some lessons with Alison and she was amazing. We felt comfortable and confident even though our girls were beginners. She is very knowledgeable and handled our girls very well. The horses were wonderful and we highly recommend Alison.

I lucked out and got a private trail ride. Jenny was so kind with me and the horses; I had a lovely time walking through the forest (and because I have experience riding and it was just the two of us, we could trot in certain areas!). My horse Angel was the best boy. What a wonderful afternoon!

DO NOT BOARD HERE!

Thankfully fiancè and I only had to stay here 2 days to let our horses rest and stretch their legs from being in the trailer. Never met the staff but the owners were EXTREMELY rude talking down to my fiancé and I. Everything is a cash grab and they show little to no regard for the safety of their horses or others.

We highly recommend. My wife and I are very new to horses, but our trail guide Selena made us feel very comfortable with the horses and the trail. Of course being matched up with Storm and Stormy helped as they were such gentle beautiful animals.
Being able to brush the horses down and feed them treats was an added bonus we weren’t expecting.
We are big fans of the Paradise Acres Ranch and will be coming back hopefully with family

Thanks to Selena and Bev for making the ranch and ride a wonderful experience

DO NOT BOARD HERE! The owner doesn’t care about the animals well being, she will endanger your animal in order to make more money!
As hay prices went up, she ordered staff to CUT BACK ON HAY! Her “fields” do not produce close to enough grass to feed even one horse let alone 5-7.
She will RISK YOUR HORSES WELL BEING TO MAKE MONEY.
Horses are put into the “herd” WITHOUT CARE OF WELL-BEING.
Obviously sick horses (way under weight, swollen goopy eyes,
known to have worms) are put into the herd without care or notice for the healthy horses currently there.
Horses are thrown into the Herd without care or knowledge of personalities and have ended with multiple VET BILLS.
She does not believe it is her responsibility to inquire about horses health and aggression before putting them into herd and tight quarters with current boarders.
The Hay she sells to boarders and Feeds Full board horses is absolute garbage and shouldn’t even be fed to cows.
Most of her staff are lovely and care about the horses but the OWNER ONLY CARES ABOUT THE MONEY!
DO NOT BOARD HERE!

BEST RANCH EVER! We did a trail ride with 2 magnificent horses and we quickly realized how caring is the team. We chose to stay 2 nights and we were overwhelmed by the owners' hospitality. Waking up in the pasture in this 2020 fall season was a delight. Can't recommend this place enough! Thank-you to Bev & Gerd, much love!

Kind of disappointed- someone fell off their horse at the beginning of a 2hour ride
Didn't turn bsck to just drop them off. We ended up doing circles around the ranch and side road ditches. No offer on a discounted ride for next time.so no views or trails like I expected.the horses were sweet
Guide was grumpy. Should come with some knowledge as there isn't a lesson for very new riders.

The horses were absolutely beautiful. Just wish my saddle was on a little tighter felt I was sliding around on the horse. I asked for the staff if I could have it tighter they said no. Also while riding I’d try to turn the horse away from the side the tree and kept getting smacked with branches.it was okay experience.

Jeannie was a fantastic trail guide, very professional, friendly, knowledgable! Perfectly matched each one of us with a horse that was suitable to our abilities! Plenty of variety in trails & well mannered horses. Will definitely return again! Thank you Jeannie!?

What an awesome ride! Caroline was an excellent guide, the horses were healthy and happy. We were both experienced riders and were happy to be on well trained behaved horses that were fun to ride. Looking forward to coming again!

Spent 2 nights here with my grandkids. Bev and Gerd are gracious, welcoming hosts who served a delicious breakfast both days. Accommodations were comfortable and homey. Caroline, our riding instructor and guide, was knowledgeable and patient with us novice riders. The ranch is close to all the amenities that Parksville has to offer and only a 2-hour drive from Victoria. I highly recommend Paradise Acres Ranch BnB and trail rides for all ages.

Ride was super fun! Caroline was an awesome guide, super fun to chat with and listened to what we needed. Mountain room was super comfy. Not great water pressure on the shower though. Big bathroom, comfy bed. Lots of wasps. The food was absolutely incredible.
The horses were friendly. Ask for lacey. Big property that is gorgeous.

First time rider here, they allowed me to ride a beautiful calm horse that was so pleasant and fun. Gave me a great experience with horses!
Overall the atmosphere was pleasant and casual, they provide boots if you don't have the proper footwear and helmets in all sizes. I'd recommend you figure out how to bring a water bottle in the summer or find a horse with a small pack so you can bring one. The 2 hr ride gets a bit hot but they take you through nice trails to cool off. Definitely wear sunscreen and bring a light cover-up for your neck and shoulders with long pants and socks.
The staff and owner were very nice and confident and I trusted them to tell us the correct way to ride and how to be safe.
I'd recommend this place if you're new to riding and they even accommodated some young kids on the ride too! Everyone seemed to have a good time.

Wow! Awesome in every way! Very upsetting to read the horrendously ignorant review from the 'ANON' (ymous) person there. In response to that 'just riding in circles' comment, it is actually called 'schooling'. Its an integral part for even a professional rider and is based in communication between horse and rider. In this setting it is also an opportunity for the trail guide to observe how the rider is on a horse they know.gives the guide a heads up as to who to take extra precautions with. Horses, like all creatures, have their own likes and dislikes of others of their species and have their own pecking order. All perfectly normal horse behavior. Bevs vigilance in attention to every moment is testament to her dedication to giving even non horsey people the opportunity to safely ride these beautiful, VERY well trained horses, in awesome scenery.

I stayed in the BnB for two nights! The living space was fantastic as were the views. The breakfasts! Well.i wasnt expecting the gourmet delight i got. Such a treat! The horses i was assigned were amazing, well suited to me (and well suited to my beginner husband also who had an amazing horse and time too and didnt winge about 'all that riding in circles' because he 'gets it! '), well trained, very different and i really got a bunch of great different riding experiences. I had a successful Dressage lesson (that 'just riding around in circles thing' 'Anon' lol) on an amazing horse who really helped show me how to give my communication correctly. And had two really fun trail rides in gorgeous scenery. Bev, her husband, their boarders and Jess our trail guide were all lovey people! Had such an amazing time. Will be going again real soon for sure! Thank you team Paradise!
