I have been to lots of doctors over the years, both for myself and in support of family members battling chronic conditions. This was unquestionably the worst and most useless appointment I’ve ever had. The one thing I can say is the receptionist was nice and helpful. But the doctor was a disaster. He didn’t introduce himself, so I don’t know his name, but he was an older man of smaller stature, bald, wearing glasses. He listened to me for less than thirty seconds, interrupting me each time he was tired of my talking. He didn’t take my temperature. He dismissed my medical history as not indicative of anything with my current complaint. And he exited the room while I was still trying to describe my symptoms. I thought he was getting something to bring back, but no, he was just done with me. When I tried to express unmet concerns (as he ushered me out the door), he actually chuckled and mocked me as over dramatic. The whole appointment lasted less than five minutes, and there weren’t even any other patients in the clinic at the time! Fortunately, I was able to get a tele health appointment later that day with a doctor who actually listened and prescribed the right medication, and I started feeling better the next day.

What a joke of a clinic!
The front desk was very nice and helpful but that’s about it.
The washrooms where I was supposed to give the urine samples had no soap at all. The doctor barely introduced himself so I had no idea who he is. I felt like I was bothering him before his lunch break, and all the examination took about 3-5minutes. He examined me with two or three questions, one forward bend, two side bends and then told me I’m flexible. I feel a visceral pain in my lower back and he only tells me it’s not kidney problem because kidneys are somewhere else. Doesn’t even try to figure out why do I feel this pain and what it is. His only advice is to take advil and stretch.
I used to be a health care professional myself and it really insults me that someone doesn’t do their job. Where’s empathy, where’s effective communication, where is a will to help?

I seeked professional helped. I found disappointment and Advil pill and they are both hard to swallow.

Go anywhere else i came here with sepsis and they sent me home and said come back on in a few days if no improvement I was in the ICU a few hours later the doctors at the hospital were amazed that they didn't call a ambulance and said if I did wait I wouldn't of survived the weekend
21 October 2023 23:00
No muss.no fuss, they took me right away and I was out of there fast. Much faster than the 45m I waited at my old GPs office many years ago.lots of free parking too.

This clinic is ok for a quick prescription but you can't come to them for real issues. (And dont expect to be treated with any respect) We tried to ask for a sleep apnea referral/ what the steps are to diagnose sleep apnea for my partner and they just told us to use saline spray cause it didn't sound like he had it. We went somewhere else shortly after and found out my partner is super high risk sleep apnea and needs a whole machine.

Also it's not a walk in, call at 8am if you want an appointment day of.

Can’t blame the staff. This clinic is simply a casualty of Canada’s totally dysfunctional healthcare system (if we can even call it a healthcare system)! We desperately need reform!
24 December 2022 23:29
I have two kids and no car. Here is my nearest walk in clinic.make an appointment by phone is very easy.visited about 10 times and so far get call back within 30mins. Drs are great and helpful.and Receptionist are very kind. Used to go to urgent care clinic at esplanade.but takes an hour to get there by bus plus two hours of waiting average. Here, you can save time and get treatment or advice faster than other walk ins if you book appointment at early morning.

I called at 9: 25 a.m. On a Friday and they were fully booked! The staff replied to me within 5 minutes after I left all the info (they only do this through voicemail) they requested and they were very nice and apologetic for not having any spots left.
15 November 2022 17:00
Wow.i mentioned to the receptionist that the phone booking system is so long and riddled with so many questions, that answering them all would require taking notes. I was told that its fine the way it is and that any 90 year old could do it. The doctors are generally fine but the office admin will make sure you feel stupid and irrelevant.

Making an appointment was super easy called at 8 and the receptionist called back at 8: 30 she was super friendly, but the doctor was a whole different story. He “helped” me for maybe 30 seconds told me is was nothing and basically laughed that I had come in. I went to see another doctor a few days later after my symptoms had worsened and found out I had a bacterial infection that needed antibiotics immediately.

Been coming here for years. I know health care workers are overworked and understaffed, and can leave me feeling wanting more from my health care providers, but I think most are trying their best. This clinic is doing their best with what they have and I'm grateful for that. They have been accommodating me for call in appointments during peak COVID times to get my prescription refilled quickly, and recently an in-person visit set me up with what I needed.

Also fyi there's a great JJ Bean nearby if you want to wait with a warm cup of joe!

At this time they are not operating as a walk in clinic. If I needed to book an appointment I would go to my family doctor. The reason for walk in clinics is for people to be able to walk in and see a doctor quickly. I couldn’t get in for 3 days. They wouldn’t take walk in, then they reached capacity and closed early, and second no appointments available. I was forced to go to the hospital. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic for someone who requires immediate antibiotics or needs to be seen semi important.
31 August 2022 17:57
One of their doctors refused to give me a physical for my Class 4 Driver’s License, a requirement by ICBC. Their reasoning was that it should be done by a family doctor. Who all British Columbian’s have right? … Right? We ALL have a family doctor, … right?
23 March 2022 1:20
The over the phone service is awful with the automated service. It is so unfriendly and impersonal they want to shift all the responsibility o to the patient and make it very difficult to see a dr.
And threaten that if you dont answer all their wuestions correctly that you will not get a call back. Then when you go in they want to pump you in and out as fast as possible because the Dr’s get paid per visit. Some of the Dr’s have been very nice
At times, but overall this is a awful system
28 February 2022 20:11
Receptionist was kind and fast. But that was the only good thing about the visit. Unfortunately the actual doctors visit was terrible. Waited about 20min in a small room and afterwards the doctor was extremely unattentive and did not seem to care much about the issue. Barely asked a question or two and had to intention to clarify possible treatment at all. The actual visit literally probably took like 3,4 mins. Would definitely not going to be back there again.

Dr Kim Martin is the definition of why people distrust and loathe medical doctors. She enters the room does not make eye contact ONCE, mumbles, monotone, proceeds to skip any coherent medical history and exam, and says take acetaminophen and rest and leaves the room. The appointment lasted 1minute or less. I get worse and have to go seek further acute medical care elsewhere. I may be so inclined to address her negligence with the college,
19 July 2021 23:42
Worst clinic I've ever been to. Have been here multiple times and have experienced forgotten referrals, doctors that don't want to listen to what I have to say, and irresponsible and negligent receptionists. When you call to fix the problem, you will be denied help and rushed off the phone - much how the doctor calls feel as well. Sad that this is a legit medical institution.
15 February 2021 7:46
Tried calling for over 30 minuets to get an appointment, finally got through to reception only for her to ask to put me on hold and hang up on me. Never got a call back. I get it’s rough right now with covid but seriously?
02 February 2021 11:48
No idea why so many negative reviews. I ditched my family doctor for these guys because they actually really care.
13 January 2021 18:10
Called the clinic today for a prescription refill. The MOA who answered the phone was amazing. Such a sweetheart. I wish I remembered her name.
Covid has made things so difficult and so stressful for everyone. I was feeling anxious, and she was very warm and empathetic. The Dr.was great too! Thanks to both of you for your help
20 December 2020 8:33
They obviously don't want patients, seeing as they don't answer their phone which is only way to book with them. Very unprofessional
12 December 2020 12:55
During difficult times, the clinic is trying their best to take care of patients by having them call to book their appointments. I have had nothing but great interactions with the front staff and the doctors at this clinic.
They are doing the best they can to accommodate patients in the safest way possible. They are very professional and I will definitely come back to this clinic.
24 July 2020 0:15
This is my 4 the visit here.
Staff was friendly enough, doctors seen 3 do listen and give sound advice.

With the whole covid situation they allow 1 person in the office at a time.
I find this very good as you don't have to come in close contact with anyone, would be hard if you don't have a car.
Wait time vary shortest wait was 15 longest was~1 hr. This is quite reasonable for same day appointment.

FYI those complaining about wait times, my longest wait time for walk-in was 3.5 hours. Not at this location.
07 May 2020 1:59
Nice receiptionist, short wait time but the doctor did not seem to care at all for our little girl. She was just in and out. Will take her to a different doctor now.
11 April 2020 10:08
A wait time of 20 mins can turn into a wait tine for 1 hour in the 'small room'. Been coming here a few times.wait times are probably their only drawback.
05 April 2020 6:44
I visited this place once, 3 years ago. I’ll never forget the mistreatment I received. I just moved here and didn't have an MSP or anything to do with medical care here, and all I had was my treaty card, which covers me for a lot. The front desk clerk just denied me and wouldn’t listen to me. She shut me down as I tried to explain to her that it is legal and I am covered with medical care because of my status. Her racism denied me of basic health care.
15 March 2020 18:00
This is an extremely busy walk in clinic. I always received very good medical care at this clinic, as well as having courteous interactions with the front desk staff. Park and Tilford clinic has looked after prescription refills, specialist referrals, upper respiratory infections, pain issues, medical forms and more serious diagnoses, for me and my family, with professionalism and proper care.

Waiting and short appointments are a part of medical care today. Don’t blame this clinic.
30 January 2020 7:03
Don't know where this bad feedback come from, they took great care of me, did it quickly, and was exceptionally nice.
31 December 2019 4:40
They are open for another hour and 22 minutes. They have zero people in the waiting room but they refuse to take any more oatients.
13 December 2019 2:45
Experience depends on which GP you get. Dr Jiwani is the worst doctor I have ever had: no people or listening skills whatsoever. Seen two other doctors there who were pretty decent. Receptionist was nice. Busy though.
16 November 2019 1:49
I brought my daughter to this clinic with an infection on the bottom of her foot. My daughter had been in pain all night prior to me brining her to the clinic and was in tears. The infection was bulging out of her foot enabling her from walking. The doctor (I wish I did, but I do not recall his name) pushed on the green lump causing my daughter to cry in pain. He then proceeded to call her a baby and chuckled to himself. I thought this was very strange behaviour coming from a doctor in his work place. We then left and went to the Lynn Valley clinic the next day, which there they advised us to go to the hospital emergency room. At the emergency room we got confirmation it was a serious infection. If I could rate this zero stars I would. If you have the option to go to a different clinic I would.
22 October 2019 5:35
Great doctor and normal waiting time for a walk-in-clinic. Don't know what people's problem is.
04 October 2019 23:40
Receptionist was doing her best despite her computers being offline.

Dr Martin needs to work on her bedside manner. She seemed annoyed that I came in because my lab results were negative. Well, I'm still unwell.and I knew that sometimes the tests have to be repeated. I don't think she enjoys her work. Maybe time to find something else?

If you have the choice to go elsewhere, I would recommend doing that.
29 September 2019 16:17
Add an hour onto whatever wait time they tell you, and you won't be disappointed. That includes the longest wait time I've ever had in the "small room". Things aren't moving quickly here at all. Also, do yourself a favor and don't wait in the tiny lobby. It's a sweatbox and very cramped. Go grab a coffee instead, walk the garden if able. As far as care goes, I felt belittled and left without a solution or diagnosis to what I am experiencing, so I'm seeking a second opinion.
03 September 2019 14:42
What a horrible place. Came as a walk in, were told it would be 20-30 min. Waited close to an hour in a hot place with no air flow at all, cramped space. Waited another 15 min inside the room before so called doctor showed up. Receptionist needs to learn how to at least smile to people and not to be so rude. Came with a baby and ended up changing her on a bathroom floor as there is no changing table! Shame, shame, shame!
16 August 2019 1:14
The wait has always been short or at least reasonable, and the doctors and other staff have been friendly.
23 April 2019 17:15
Dr. Martin is terrible. I went to her so sick and she advised me to rest without even asking questions or checking me out. I ended up in emergency with Pneumonia and when I went back to tell her (my husband) was really sick she said oh yeah well it is going around.she then tried to prescribe my hubby a nasal spray when he had just told her he was taking a prescribed one and it was not working.
Word of advise, Go somewhere else when she is working!
13 March 2019 20:36
Awful. I'm so disappointed with Dr. Martin at this clinic, she doesn't care about helping anyone, just about reaching her capacity. Still in disbelief about the lack of professionalism. Terrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Can't explain that enough, do not go here.
17 February 2019 15:32
I'd like to give 0 star. This clinic is a nightmare. There was nobody in the waiting room. After 5 minutes, the assistant brought me into an examination room and then I waited 45 minutes. It seems that other patients have a priority card. After 45 minutes waiting, I left.
30 January 2019 19:53
I've been here about 6 times and 4 out of 6 times, the front desk staff was rude, short and condescending. I just left and didn't even see a Dr because she didn't even check me in as she was rude to other people, power tripped and then took someone in front of me just because she felt like it. Absolute grouch and i left shaking i was so upset, as i need a referral for tomorrow. I didn't mind waiting the hour, but couldn't stand being treated so badly. There is no reason anyone needs to be so rude.
