Great place to grab some food! Very authentic Korean cuisine, would definitely recommend rice cake hot pot, it’s sooooo good!

ㄹㅇ The portion size is so small. You should go somewhere else. Tteokbokki that costs over 30,000 won is served in kimbap heaven for 4,500 won.

Went for a quick lunch on a Sunday. Wanted to order from the sandwich board sign that was out on the walkway, but apparently those items are only available Monday to Friday so I ordered a spicy pork ramen instead. Had trouble communicating with the young fellow but he tried. Had to ask for water and bill as he never came around to check on me. The music was quite loud but then I was seated next to a speaker / Karaoke machine.

I had a lot of hungry so i can't taked a picture hahaha but i recommend 100% the prices are affordable i ordered a local beer and the spicy kimchi ramen ufff delicious 10 out of 10.

Servers were great. Nice decors. Bulgogi and black bean ramens were tasty. Takoyaki was creamy. Gizzard side dish was good, too.
Just one downside: seasood ramen was salty. I don't recommend this particular dish.

They have a fusion of japanese and korean food with a variety of choices. Portions are good and food was delicious.

Amazing food, second time going in 2 weeks with the same friends but unfortunately the service is terrible…the first time we went there was multiple issues and I emailed the restaurant directly and they polity responded. Though, for the second time there was another odd occurrence with the bill.

The waiter brought the bill to us after asking if we could get the bill split (both times the same server has brought the receipt and the POS system to our table, he doesn’t give us the receipt but just the POS system with our amounts) after we paid, it seemed like the amount wasn’t correct so we got the receipt and realized we were charged an extra dish which we didn’t get nor ordered.)

We brought this to their attention and the manager was also very confused why this was happening. We were given refunds, but this is the second time In a row we needed to get refunds from their mistake. The time before I ordered a beer, which didn’t receive it but was charged for it.

Called to make a reservation on Valentine's day, the guy who picked up sounds not interested in talking to me at all. Even forgetting to ask me the time I'll be there. When the time come I got there with my date and realized the doors are locked and they don't open on Tuesday. Never been and will never go because of this.

It is delicious. But it may be a bit sweet for Korean tastes. Stew spiciness can be adjusted (seems to be capsaicin sauce)

Korean and japanese cuisine restaurant, wont say perfect but its decent set up and food is near to authentic. We tried Korean and japanese cuisines, and they were both very good. They did serve side dishes but kimchi was missing, upon asking they said its in menu, we can order if we wish to. The staff are very friendly and good service. Its quite busy during weekend.

Service was incredibly mediocre- bathroom wasn't clean / stocked with the basics. Overall awful experience with staff /food mirroring the experience. Spend your hard earned cash elsewhere.

Food is good, service is good. Only problem I had was that I was unable to finish all the food they gave me! I recommend going here:)

Rice cake hotpot was way too sweet. If it were less sweet, it would have been much better taste.

Nice atmosphere and appears clean. My vegetarian order had pork in it, even after confirming with the server that it was vegetarian. I specifically asked if it was vegetarian, no fish oil etc. I cannot go back because of this, as I don't know what else was in the food. Server confirmed it was pork and was sorry.

I love this place. One recommendation, is change the korean bbq grill (fire pan) to 36$ and take out " for 1 person" off the menu.

Customers see 18$ and 1 person, then below it you see minimum order for 2 people. Can be confusing to customers. Food is great!

Fire pan gives you 1tbsp of corn one side, plastic cheese on the other side, with sauced up mix of leftover meat, veggies, and 4.25 pieces of rice cake
Each order of meat for the fire pan is +$19-23, we were not aware and thought one order includes two meat portions, turns out you must order at least 2 servings so the Fire pan is actually $40 dish not the advertised $20 dish

One of my work colleagues mentioned about this place and decided to check it out since I was in the area and needed a large meal to refuel for the long cycling home.

The food hands down is amazing. The Japchae was delicious and the portion was huge. The fried chicken gizzards were a home run with large roasted garlic cloves which was a nice added touch. It would've been nice to down a bottle of soju to go with the chicken gizzards but the thought of riding my e-bike home under the influence doesn't seem like a hot idea. The server was sweet enough to get me a compostable takeout container so I could eat the rest in the comfort of my home.

The ambiance and decorum is nice, kinda reminds me of a k-room (karaoke) feel with the disco lights and televisions blasting Blackpink, Twice, Red Velvet, Everglow, Mamamoo and EXID. (Personally I'm more of a SNSD fan but that sort of sets my age by admitting that).

Service was fine for the most part until the end when I needed to find someone ASAP to pay for the bill and leave. I'm sure they would've let me sit back and relax which normally would be fine as I don't like restaurants rushing one out with the bill while you're still eating but in this case I had to leave or else my bike would've been locked up inside of MEC. Also bummed that the complimentary water was warm which isn't so cool on a hot sweltering summer weekend.

All in all, I was satisfied with the place and I will be back.

Worse dinner out I’ve ever had. Really expensive, not neatly enough food s as no terrible service.

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants, but since they’ve re opened its changed so much I don’t think I’ll return as it is.

I understand times are tough now, but they’ve cut more than half of the original menu, the sushi, ramen, and lots of the other options are now gone. There was nothing left on the new menu that my celiac friend could eat. The prices of what remains on the menu have been raised dramatically as well.

This has been our go-to place downtown for about three years. It's a good balance of price, quality, and variety.

I really love food here. But every time when I visit, I can see a guy who yelled at co-worker. It really happened Every time. Even I saw the guy kicked young guy. What happened back there. He really has to stop screaming and abuse them. I feel really bad for the young workers. I can't enjoy the food when he does that. Too loud

Good food. Just didnt like how the owner was going ballistic about something in the kitchen and was shouting like a mad man. It even got to a point where something banged in the kitchen and a lady in there screamed. Hope she's okay though. Our servers were very kind and sweet. We had the hotpot and bbq which was flavourful.

Service were great but some of their servers were unknowledgeable with the ingredients of the menu. Both times that I was there, they ran out of ingredients for my dishes. U would think they'd be more well prepped as they are running a restaurant.

Soo good! Honestly think their Korean food might be better than their Japanese food but that's okay. I got their farmer's meal set and it was fantastic! Such big portions and so worth it for the price:)

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Service was great, servings were generous, and food tasted amazing. Can’t recommend enough!

Full disclosure, I'm a western boy visiting a Korean/Japanese restaurant, so take my review with a grain of salt, or whatever spice they put in their food. I thought the food was okay. I think the chicken in my bowl wasn't the freshest, but the flavours were okay. The next day my stomach wasn't overly happy with me. It's likely I'm just not used to that type of food. The waitress was really good and really nice.

Ordered some noodle dish there once that was basically 2 lbs of spaghetti noodles covered in chipotle mayo. Wasn't great.

The first restaurant I've been that I think is ready to accommodate the pressing need of safety while there's COVID-19 situation. When you come and wants to dine in, they will check your temperature and record your name and number. Thumbs up for their good precautionary measure. I always like their Samgyetang so I appreciate their safety measure. The staff who serve me is also kind and accommodating.

Fire grill was good but too spicy, too sweet even for a medium hot request. Order served in 10 mins except rice order took ages despite 2 reminders. 1 order if ramen was than cancelled. Their lunch specials Mon'-Fri only. $12.00 standard.

Portions are large but the prices are a bit high as well. The kimchi pork ramen soup was excellent and massive. I will agree with others that the restaurant is a bit dim, and needs some TLC.

The foods pricey and a lot of stuff is not worth it. Its not really somewhere to go alone. The staff are rather negligent and forgetful as well. I've only been there late at night, so it might be better during lunch. The atmosphere is nice and the food is okay. It's a nice place to go if you crave the food they serve here, but normally there are better options.

Ordered Fire Pan and the waitress came after saying they were out of cheese and ramen so we got the side switched to corn. I asked if we can do rice cake instead of ramen, the waitress said yes. But still ended charging us $4 for the 5 or 6 pieces of rice cake they put in. We ordered mild and the food came up was way too spicy than “MILD”. I don’t know if the waitress understood when we were ordering as she seemed quite unsure when I said “mild”. She didn’t give us any spoons or nothing. My boyfriend had to go grab the spoons for us by himself. We were never asked about the food. Three of the waitresses were standing by the cashier and chatting. The owner should take more time on training the waitresses. The portion of the food is way less than what I was expected. I can’t believe it’s the size for two. I would give zero if possible. Will never go back.

Went here several times, but the last time I went for dinner, there’s iron steel line in the ginseng chicken soup. And before the last time, found an insect like ant in fried rice noodle. Wow, Amazing! Victoria Food Inspection department should check their kitchen.
