Parksville Boathouse Ltd

This was my first time dealing with Parksville Boathouse unless you count the couple of times I've been in the store part and couldn't get any service and left.
I took my boat in about the middle of July because of some cooling issues. It took them some time to even look at it. I understand it was the busy season and likely they were understaffed.
Parts took awhile to get in etc. I finally got it back the 29th of September. I took it out for a test ride and all seems to be okay. No issues with the service people. The cost was almost double what I was led on to be. I know you can't see everything but nobody bothered to let me know.
In fact in all the time my boat was in there they only called my twice. Once when I called to find out the status. The nameless person had to call me back. The second time was after I called again to find out what the hell was going on and they called back after the invoice was ready.
So yes guys, your communication skills could not be any worse if you tried. You had my cell number, you could had texted. Perhaps you are understaffed but never bothered to mention that. More likely there is one person trying to do a 100 different jobs and that usually results in nothing getting done right.
So guess what happens with poor service? I talk to people and they relay their bad experiences with you to me.
Communicate, communicate, communicate!

We saw some very nice boats, very polite no pressure sales staff. So many choices.

Unfortunately we cannot report any good experiences. The technical service was unsuccessful. We received an offer and had the repairs carried out. Unfortunately the engine didn't work afterwards. We had to be towed on the more. A lot of money for little performance.

Always a great experience and top of the line service men. They take the stress out of assembling a boat!

Fantastic staff super friendly/helpful/ knowledgeable and get your in and out as quickly as possible.

Terrible customer service, I was assured the trailer under the boat worked. Now I sit on the side of hwy at night with no lights after they billed out 6k for repairs, no comunication what so ever, received the boat dirty and a mess. Couldn’t even wash it or flush the motor after a sea trial, they just don’t care. Will never deal with them again, I’ll do the repairs that need doing including replacing the vhf that was said to work (it doesn’t.) trailer lights, seats where broken, so I bought new seats, was told they’d bolt on, nope. Have to modify that too, wouldn’t even put a license plate on. Had to borrow tools to do that at their shop too. Grrrrr 2 months of disappointing service.
My fault, I suppose I should’ve shopped elsewhere
