Paul is an amazing photographer and even better human. We hired him for our wedding and our guests could not stop commenting about how kind, patient and personable he was - he felt like one of the guests. Our photos turned out wonderful and we will cherish them forever. He captured all the classic family photos but more importantly all the love, laughter, and moments in between. If I could give Paul more stars I would and would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Photography is an art and when my husband and I were looking to see who we would like behind the lens to photograph us, there was no doubt in my mind (I didn’t need to persuade my husband much – lol) that it had to be Paul. His portfolio captured us from the first moment I saw his artwork. His email exchanges were so informative, his mannerism so gentle and in person, we knew he was the right person to be part of our epic day. We live in DT Vancouver and wanted to get married in Tofino which was made so fun and enjoyable with Paul. He had us climbing on rocks through the wet weather, and the photos he captured of us were simply stunning. His turnaround time is amazing and we appreciate the time and energy he put into our photos. When we look at them, we re-live the moments as if we are in them right now. He captured how we felt and how our guests felt during the ceremony and dinner. He captured some epic moments that will tell stories for years to come. Our guests were totally at ease with him and he just floated in and out – barely a distraction but we knew he was just a click away from us. Thank you Paul for creating a lasting memory for us. We will see you again when we visit Tofino, friend!

My wife and I just had our wedding this past weekend. We wanted to say that Paul was so amazing and so professional. He is hands down the best photographer I have ever had. He is patient, extremely knowledgeable and had such a fun and energetic vibe with dealing with large groups. There is so much going on during a wedding day and he made so many suggestions (even not photo related) that made it go smoothly. I would hands down use Paul again for any future events!

You need Paul to photograph your wedding day. It’s not even a question. Hiring him as our photographer was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

My husband and I hired Paul to photograph our unconventional elopement ceremony - which included our best man/MC in an inflatable T-Rex costume, to give some indication - because we got married in Bamfield and we figured he knew how to photograph the west coast of the island. I was right. Paul fit seamlessly into our day. He is lovely and kind and knowledgeable and was very well prepared. He had excellent advice for us in terms of shots, but was unobtrusive and was mostly in the background capturing our day. His style is quite documentary and he did the most amazing job of telling the story of our day. His technique is flawless.

I was honestly astonished by the quality of the photos we got back, only a week and a half after our wedding. I never dreamed that such beautiful photos could be taken of me. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable and at ease, and you can see it in the photos. I will treasure these photos for the rest of my life and I am so grateful to Paul for capturing our wedding so perfectly.

Paul perfectly infused the picturesque landscape that Tofino has to offer with our wedding photos. He brought a level of professionalism and care to our big day that was evident both throughout the planning process, as well as on the big day itself. Paul was our photographer at our Tofino elopement in November 2020. He knew exactly where to take us for the best shots in the best light, capturing both us and the wild and beautiful landscape at Rosie Bay. We had so much fun and are so happy with his work. It was a pleasure to work with Paul. The photos he took of our elopement captured the candid moments and the beauty of Tofino perfectly. We planned our elopement from afar and Paul felt like our personal Tofino guide, providing us invaluable information to help plan our day. Paul was such a lovely presence on our wedding day. He was kind and patient and has a very calming energy. My partner and I are not very good at taking photos but he made the process much more comfortable. I was immediately drawn to Pauls photographs because of his work with reflections and how nature looks so beautiful in his photos and he really delivered. He was incredibly generous with his time. We first worked with Paul for our wedding a couple of years ago and completely fell in love with his style and the way he makes you feel during the photo shoot. Somehow Paul manages to make a photo shoot the most relaxing and natural experience even for those of us who don’t like to get their pictures taken. Not only this but the photos turned out to be so much more than we expected. The way Paul captures the surrounding environment and the candid moments is truly amazing!
This time I reached out to take some photos with our 2 month old and being that she is so little I did not have high expectations but just hoped to get a shot or two. Well, Paul did it again and the pictures where more than breathtaking! The way he managed to get our baby girl and us in a natural environment and then add the beauty of the landscapes around. I was so impressed! Honestly the best family photos I could have dreamed of. I can’t wait to do this again once she’s a little older:)

Paul is amazing. He has a unique and caring way of capturing one of the most important days and moment in our lives. One thing that really stood out for me was Paul’s gentle guidance and profound attention to detail. I was very nervous, as one would expect, just moments before I was to begin my journey to the beach to meet my now husband. Paul spoke to me in this gentle, kind and reassuring tone. He explained to me how things would be unfolding from a photographer’s point of view. That interaction distracted me long enough to settle the jitters. Once I met my husband on the beach, to my delighted surprise he spoke to just Raven and I, pointing out the tips he had for us during the ceremony that would allow us to engage in our moment without being distracted by a camera or our guests. It was perfect. We had so much fun with the post ceremony pictures. We were given the freedom to be playful, loving, romantic and connected. We were married November 20th, 2020. So it was, to say the least, a risky decision for a wedding date, weather wise. It was hammering rain until 20 mins before the ceremony commenced. We had a beautiful blue sky for 3 hours, and in that time Paul created a photographic fairytale for us. Our experience with Paul was beyond our expectations. The pictures are breathtaking. The attention to detail, his sweet demeanour and his exquisite gift photographic masterpieces are immense. Thank you Paul. You are the best!

Paul's photos captured the essence of our perfect small adventurous wedding and everything dear to us. Paul was attentive to everything that we communicated was important to us, and beyond. It was important to us to capture ourselves and our loved ones amongst the beauty and wilderness of Ucluelet, and we are blown away by the photos we received. Our initial wedding was cancelled due to travel restrictions and Paul was very responsive, and more importantly, fun and flexible to make new plans with. Paul was our photographer for our elopement at Long Beach Lodge in Tofino. We had fun climbing the rocks, strolling on the beach and walking on the trails while Paul put us at ease taking pictures.
