PDG Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

We have had a great experience at this dental office with two different dentists and all of the great assistants and front office staff. We take two ferries to come to this dental office because it's so worth it. They're fabulous with children and give lots of options for the caregivers to make educated decisions on their children's health care.

Dr. Moore and his assistant showcased both their medical technologies (e.g. Big screen touchpad demonstrations and explanations of X-ray results) and their capacity to charm and entertain children and parents alike.

We consulted very professionally with Dr. Wong and his assistant during the Initial Visit. I got crucial information about my daughter’s treatment plan and current conditions to help us make and prepare for future treatment.

Dr. Christian Wong is a master of his craft. Amazing results post orthodontic treatment. The Assistants are also super kind and knowledgeable!

I have two children with very different personalities and the one thing that they both love is going to see their dental team at Oakridge PDG.

Our dentist is Dr. Anabel Chan (she has been our one and only dentist for my children since they were old enough for their first dental appointment).

Dr. Chan is always very thorough, informative and explains things to us (parents and children) in ways that we can easily understand.

Also, every single one of the dental hygienists, assistants, and coordinators we had the privilege of working with have been so patient, understanding, kind, even when last minute life things come up that require creativity and additional planning. They've all been so amazing.

My children always feel very comfortable at the clinic and literally look forward to their next check up, which says a lot about how well the team operates.

We are so blessed to have such caring and professional team at a very convenient location, and I am thankful to be able to say I trust the Oakridge PDG with all my children's dental development and care needs.

I cannot rave enough about this practice! My son needed extensive work so we opted for anesthesia. We received extensive information after confirming the appointment, had another phone call confirming information and asking if we had questions the day before, as well as another email after the phone call. At the appointment the receptionists were super great with my kid and we received treatment plan reports from both the dentist and anesthesiologist in person. Nothing was rushed, everything was thorough, and everyone was all about making sure my son and my husband and I were as comfortable as could be. Dr. Nourie was absolutely fantastic, reiterating multiple times that we contact him directly on his cell phone with questions or concerns. I could go on and on about each staff member I dealt with and how they each contributed to making this appointment as comfortable as they could. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I highly recommend PDG to my family and friends. I really like their service, they are professional and friendly.

I had a free consultation session with them for Invisalign treatments. The staffs and the doctor were all professionals. The costs of Invisalign here is almost double of a regular dentist offers which only makes sense since they’re orthodontists.

Staffs are friendly and professional, they care customer needs and try their best to make a perfact arrangment for customers.

We have been going to PDG since 2010 and Dr Chan has been amazing with our 4 girls. My girls were so scared going to the dentist and now they love it. I agree that Lily is great and so patient with my girls! See you soon!

I highly recommend this clinic, my kid is so happy to go there as all staff are so friendly, Doctors explain so detailed and answer all your questions.
They also have a waiting area with full of toys that kids will love.

I simply loved the patience and willing to help from all the receptionists. My son is autistic, and he was having a meltdown. Everybody was very patient, and supportive whole I was doing the check in. The consultation with Dr. Carter, and his assistant was awesome. They did an amazing job, and we're very carefully with my son.

PDG is very welcoming. They are great with kids. The staff allowed my daughter to feel comfortable on her first visit. They truly put their patients first. I highly recommend.

Alright dentist, but not worth the premium. I brought my kids back here once my wife and I were both covered with blue cross. Even with both of our plans together they still charge a premium. They were unclear on this when I booked, and I booked in person when my son had an orthodontist appointment. I even asked if it would cost extra and they weren't sure, but was told it should be fine. The guy booking did seem confused and took forever to enter all mine and my wife's information, so I never really received a straight answer. Anyways since I heard nothing I assumed that it was fine. Needless to say I was surprised to get a statement in the mail for an extra $149 for a very simple cleaning, and that is with 2 PBC insurance policies. The ridiculous thing is that these guys charge more for things that shouldn't cost extra. For example the bill statement shows premiums for the following: exam and dx/, polishing, flouride tx/, biteing films, and scaling. This is ridiculous; they are literally charging more money for supplies. I do understand a premium for the exam, but for supplies, seriously. They would get 3 stars because they are alright dentists (nothing special though). They get 2 stars for the lack of transparency with billing and the disorganization from the front desk.

Draw your own conclusion… don’t worry we have a payment plan. Let us look at your benefits. Hmm, as such are they prescribing what my 4yr old child needs or what they perceive should be done? With the should is everything necessary? Felt very unsettling and confusing. Questioning integrity? We are not buying a car… dental care should not feel like this.

One of the best medical visits I have ever had. Dr. Wong and his assistant took their time explaining to my daughter and I.pleasant staff. I would definitely recommend him and thank you for your time.

My son was forced to take unnecessary sedation drugs for a routine cavity, even though he has never been afraid of the dentist and was fully cooperative). Receptionist told me that it’s so the dentist can treat quickly without any issues and not have delays in his schedule. They told me if they have problems with him I will be charged an extra fee for the dentist’s time.

I thought I already pay a higher fee because these dentists specialize in treating children? Why am I being charged more fees on top of specialist fees because the dentist doesn’t want to use his specialty training for children on my child!

Front desks staff are curt and unfriendly and this is when they are collecting payment! Negative reviews are removed by PDG on multiple platforms. This should alone be a warning sign to potential customers! The only good thing is they are brutally honest - they care more about business and fitting in as many patients as possible than patient care. No thank you, not for me!

My experience at PDG has been very good. Dr. Moore and his staffing make you feel at ease and comfortable. I will recommend PDG to all my friends and acquaintances.

I came to this practise for a second opinion and I’m so glad that I did. Not only was Dr. Chan personable and thorough, her quality of care is unmatched. She did my daughters dental surgery and made myself and my 4 year old comfortable and informed throughout the entire process. I have nothing but positive things to say. Thanks so much Dr. Chan!

Dr. Sheideman and teammate provided excellent service, my daughter meets him since 2006 until now, my son meets him since 2013 until now.

A lot of unnecessary treatments were prescribed to my child, estimated bill was for 1k. After getting 2 second opinions ended up with just 1 filling at other clinic, glad we didn't decide to go with Pdg. Everything is very rushed there. All patients are side by side in one room, no personal space. Have an impression that they try to squeeze as many clients as possible and overtreat.

Malpractice & Unethical Practice - Dr. Chan advised our 5 year old had 6 cavities and offered the only treatment plan under general anesthetic with a $4,000 cost at their Cambie surgical centre. She even warned, "You don't want to wait until the child needs a root canal! " After consideration, I called if there was any in-clinic option and she did not even call back. Naturally, we went to a nearby dentist for a consultation and he only found 1 cavity with a full set of x-rays. The filling was done immediately within 20 mins. PDG is always so overtly obvious about cash grab, but this left us absolutely speechless at how unethical they are.

Dr. Nouri is the most lovely, kind, attentive dentist I’ve ever met. He took special care of our 2 year old daughter who broke her front tooth early in the Covid-19 pandemic. He was honest about all of the options we had in every situation we faced, not pushy about any one recommendation. He is so clear, communicated calmly and patiently despite the situation being urgent at times. He is truly a “safe pair of hands”. Highly recommend!

Dr. Chan and her team are amazing! They are professional, thorough, and have an amazing rapport with the kids. Both of our kids are patients. Our daughter was very anxious at first, but Dr. Chan and her staff were incredible, calm, and supportive in treating her. They made all the difference and a trip to the dentist is not scary or uncomfortable at all. I highly recommend PDG and think the world of Dr. Chan and the team. Thank you all.

I brought my daughter 14 year old for a cleaning, was a big deception, Dr. Leung didn't do a good job, she left rest of the braces glue when the objective was clean the teeth of my daughter after they put braces out, and she ask us to go back at orthodontics to put out that glue. Incredible, plus no body told me I have to pay a fee for go with pediatric dentist, so in total for a bad cleaning $430 ca, so even if we have insurance, I have to pay $210 ca, incredible, I never ever go back to the Pediatric dentist ofice, bad experience. So if you want to waste your money, very recommended.
But Orthodontics, other history, excellent service, very recommended.

They have a great team of professionals. Dental appointment can be a traumatic experience for kids, but they have managed to make our kid wanting to come back. Defiantly worth the price.
