Peaceful Restaurant Surrey

First-time customer. We ordered 100.00 dollars worth of old, very mediocre food. Could get the same at a mall food fair. Very dissapointed would not order there again. A real waste of money. Order somewhere else and save your money.

Food was okay. I'd recommend the sweet and sour pork. The hot and sour soup tasted bland and could've used more flavour with a tad less chili flakes. The portions for each dish is large and you'll have plenty of leftovers, so the price is justified.

Dined in today. Got the salt and peppery tofu, shredded pork in spicy garlic sauce and stir fried beef in rice noodle. Decent portions for dine in. Everything was tasty. The server was the only one working in the late afternoon - she was very nice and did her best to attend to the customers. I’m glad I finally found a decent Chinese restaurant in Surrey!

We went here for the first time & ordered soup, rice, chow mein, sweet & sour pork & shrimp balls - rice came out first and was good hot and tasty, soup next which was hot broth wonton’s warm in the middle, then sweet & sour pork very tasty, then the chow mein but tasted off right at the first bite it had a burnt taste and we let the waitress know right away didn’t touch it again and when we were done & asked for boxes told her again we didn’t want a box for that cuz it was burnt - got the bill which wasn’t cheap and they didn’t take of the burnt chow mein - could of said something but there family had come in and everyone was busy catching up so we just left - we might be back but not anytime soon & no tip next time

Food was tasty and made with fresh ingredients. Service was great too. Will definitely be back!

Went from 5 star to 3 star, restaurant changed ownership. Quality went downhill, food is ok but not as good as it used to be.

Great combos, lots to chose from, couldn’t find them on the website, but the staff were helpful when we called. And they come with soup!

This shop is already closed. And it's running by some other shop owner. This place is now called Ming Fung restaurant.
They serves similar type of dishes as before and people who are curious can go for a try since they're opening this Sunday on 5th Feb.
The reason why I left this comment is because I've talked with the owners and worked with them for two days. They lack of the experience of running decent business and unorganized management of their entire restaurant. That's why I left.
Hope they can take this business seriously and consider working on it asap.

Very boutique welcoming owner operating restaurant. Food is good quality and good portion. Price point is on the mid-low end. Their lunch special is great value!

I was amazed at some of the food it was very delicious, only thing I didn't like was the thick noodles but thats my preference but all in all it was soo good will be back soon?

We went here for my birthday last weekend and it was disappointing. I’ve ordered from the restaurant before through door dash and was very happy. This time, the food was just not up to par and the experience was not great. Very small portions for its high price. The food quality was okay, a bit oily. When we went their water boiler was broken so no hot water for tea. Our 10 month baby pooped and there was no change table in either the men’s or women’s washroom, the floors were extremely dirty and they had no knives in the restaurant at all (I wanted to cut up some noodles for my daughter, they said they didn’t have any knives because the food is cut bite sized already). I’m sorry what restaurant doesn’t have any knives? What if you had a child or an older person who needed things cut a bit smaller than how it comes out? It just shows that they aren’t accessible to everyone. Oh, but they did have a highchair.

I barely review places, but today via Doordash. The food was too oily. My Mapo Tofu 60% of the sauce was in the bag what a MESS! My family and I have been ordering here since they opened. Unfortunately the Portion is almost Haft the size but the Price is at least 30% Higher. I ordered again after 11 months very SAD this will be my last order unless Improvements occur in the future.

Normally I love this restaurant however last time I ordered takeout I ordered a peaceful beef roll and was sent home with soup dumplings. Granted I should have checked before I went home but also the restaurant should have double checked that it was the right order

Came in cravin some sweet n sour.got the lunch special. Sweet n sour chicken. Paid extra for the thick noodles.

First thing I noticed was this place had 0 music. I could hear everyones phones n conversations.

Water was served in a paper cup.was never offered a pop or beer.etc.water was warm at best. No ice.

Server was nice. Checked on me once but did disappear towards the end as I stood alone in the middle of the restaurant with noone else. Could of walked out without paying.

Noodles were firm and tasty. Not much sweet n sour sauce on the chicken. Im a saucey guy and lov a saucey chicken.

I was also not blow away by the amount of chicken I got. 7ish pieces at most. For 13 bucks plus tax I really wanted more chicken!

Usually the food is amazing, tonight not so much. The crispy orange chicken was soggy and cold, the peaceful beef roll was cold and extremely greasy, Dan Dan noodles were luke warm. If you drive go to the original location on broadway. The service wasn’t very good either. She forgot a few items for other tables and never came to see how the food was or if we wanted refills on our beverages.

Very small portions for fairly high prices. We ordered snow peas - got celery. Very little chicken in the sweet and sour - lots of dough and sauce very thick. Service was not good. Tea served in paper cups.

SO pleased! We were looking for a change from our cheap but VERY slow local Chinese restaurant. Peaceful Restaurant is a delight. Good prices, wonderful food, such a sweet young lady serving us, and SO FAST. This is truly a wonderful place for lunch - we will be back!

Great food. Loved the Soup dumplings. And thousand chilli chicken. Get the beef rolls they are to die for.crispy green onion pancake with juicy beef. Need to go back and try everything eles on the menu!

Ordered the pork & veg handcut noodles, beef rolls and XLB’s. Everything was delicious! The noodles are so fresh, the beef rolls crispy with just the right hit of hoisin and the XLB’s perfectly steamed and accompanied with ginger black vinegar. The restaurant is clean and bright and conveniently located behind Save-on. Plenty of parking. Will definitely visit and try more menu items soon!

Haven't been here in awhile and it did not disapoint! Food was so tasty and great customer service!

The food is good, but it’s sometime a bit too salty and the portions on some of dishes are kind of small for the price your paying.

A fan of Peaceful Noodle in Vancouver, I was excited to see it's opened up elsewhere. Quality is good as ever. The Noodles here are amazing. The other dishes I had here usually disappoint, but you can't go wrong with a noodles + sauce dish.

My dad ordered the Szechuan Thousand Chilli Chicken today— we enjoy spicy food. Let me tell you, they deliver what is promised. Literally a thousand chilli’s and little to nothing else is in this dish. It’s boarderline unsafe to eat, see pictures of the unnecessary amount of chillies.

The menu is quite diverse with several spicy dishes. Noodles were a little greasy, but chicken dumplings were very tasty.

The food was quite greasy. The server lady was a bit unfriendly, or maybe I couldn’t see her smile due to the mask. I won’t be coming back.

I barely review places but this ones just nasty. Chicken had a rotten taste noodles were over salty peices of foam. Food made my stomach hurt alot

Have had good food at the Vancouver locations every time I've been there. However, attemp to try out the Surrey location was a failure. We stepped into the restaurant at 8: 15-8: 20 on a Sunday night, Valentines Day, and the posted closing time was 9: 30 pm. Myself and my fiance were swiftly told that the kitchen was closed and sent on our way. While the Valentines day hours may be different from regular Sunday hours, the non-standard hours should be easy to find ahead of time.

Visited there a handful of times before March of this year and always had a good meal.went for their lunch special. Went today and not impressed.had general tsao chicken.maybe 5 pieces of heavily battered balls with not much chicken inside. New owners perhaps explains it.hesitant to return.

My wife and I enjoyed a sit down dinner at the Newton Location, March 8,2021 at 5: 50pm. Not only was the service excellent, the food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is exceptionally clean with a bright interior. I would rate this as THE finest Chinese food to be found in Surrey. I understand that this facility is under new ownership since last summer.
Our first experience a year ago was not very positive, however, since there has been a change in ownership, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This is the Surrey branch of the really nice and famous restaurant in Vancouver, the place has a really good covid 19 measure and the food is ABSOLUTELY fantastic has been a long time since I had this exquisite Chinese flavorful dishes. Fully recommended!

Really good food. I often get the General Tao Chicken because i don't see that menu item too often elsewhere. They make their noodles fresh. The beef roll is well liked. They have multi grain rice.

Different hands took this restaurant over and reopened it recently. But be very careful about the food you eat. I felt sick and almost vomited after half finishing my order on July 22,2020. There was something smelly like skunk in the food. Things kept in refrigerator for months during the pandemic closure could have well gotten rotten. Is the new chef still cooking them and put on your table? He would not take my call. Beware of this, people.

Have ordered from Peaceful twice now through Skip the Dishes and both orders were fantastic. The food is fresh and doesn't come drowned in oil like a ton of other Chinese restaurants I'm sure we've all experienced. Definitely some of the best Chinese food I've had. Will definitely continue to order from Peaceful. Keep up the good work, guys!

Ordered delivery just before closing and the dumplings I was excited about were delivered rotten. Super disappointing and I won't be choosing Peaceful Restaurant again.
