On a rainy day, I invited three or two friends to come to Yuanxiang for dinner. Since we all like spicy food, we ordered the Ma Xiang Grilled Fish and the Spicy Hotpot. They were both delicious. A bowl of ginseng chicken soup is the best choice

I haven’t been here for so long and I was excited to have my favourite kimchi seafood noodle. When my order came, that’s what they gave me. Does that look like Kimchi seafood noodle? There’s no kimchi in it. So I told the server that doesn’t look like what I ordered. So he took it back. Then when he return with my order, and when I tasted it, it wasn’t the same. They just took that mistake order and added kimchi. I know coz the taste was different. I can taste the other noodles than what it should be.which is suppose the kimchi seafood noodle. I even mentioned it to the server but he didn’t even have the decency to apologize or offered to cook a new one from scratch. Very disappointing. Service was not that great either. Not tentative and no smile on their faces. I was really disappointed!

The foods are so so. Too salty and dry. The service is not very good. I had asked the server to provide two plates for our shared foods, but she gave me two tea plates with stain What's happen?

Very delicious store, I like to eat very much, and the service attitude is also very good, but life is not smooth sailing, so I give a bad review.

My visit to this restaurant was truly a letdown. The lack of attention to detail and the disregard for customer satisfaction were evident at every turn. The waitstaff's indifference was astonishing, making it clear that customer service was not a priority. Not only were the orders incorrect, but the food quality itself was far below par. The disappointing meal coupled with the dismal service makes it difficult to recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an enjoyable dining experience. It's unfortunate that such potential for improvement is squandered by an evident lack of care and professionalism from both the front and back of the house. Waitress brought the food I ordered to two customers seated three tables away from me. More than five minutes later, she realized her mistake, took the food from the other table, pretended to walk back to the kitchen, came back out immediately and tried to serve the food to me. The restaurant was not busy at all at that time as there were only two other occupied tables. As I had overheard the conversation between the waitress and the other two customers, I confronted her and she admitted that she had picked up the food from the other table. While the other two customers mentioned to the waitress that they didn't touch my food, they were talking and laughing all this while and their saliva would have landed on my food. I was disgusted as this was totally unethical and unsanitary. I told the waitress I wasn't going to eat there, stood up and walked out. I ain't gonna come back again.

The service attitude of the male waiter was very poor, and he was very impatient to answer my friends when asking about the meal. The waitress didn't tell the name of the dish when serving the dish, just threw the meal on the table and left. Very poor dining experience, will never come again.

Servers should never assume that customers that look Asian speak Mandarin or Cantonese. Water wasn't served to us when we sat down. Good food served quickly. Took too long to give us the bill/check.

We are not only table even the next table. Order 5 bubble tea. The person in charge of making is not even making it maybe busy in the Kitchen? Yes we can see and hear waiting over 30min.even next table complaint. Their food is already out and the drinks did not show up only after the person finish eating while 3 Other workers standing with their mouth open. Ours arrive only I complaint. Go to the one on Cambie Richmond.or go to the food court to get a drink.

Food was good enough, large serving sizes (especially the noodles) and decent flavour. I had the beef noodles which were tender (note the soup base had a little chili in it). However the prices felt a little excessive for the quality (approx $20 for a bowl of noodles)

The service however was atrocious. The waitress was in a bad mood and seemed to be taking it out on patrons. For our group of six she left us only two menus and told us off when we tried to get another. She seemed very unimpressed that not all of our group spoke Chinese, after which it was really hard to get hold of her to take our order or add to it. We got our own water refills and eventually found someone else to help process the bill.

The restroom was also not very clean (incredibly sticky floor) and no paper towels. When we left there were a number of dirty tables that needed to be cleared but the wait staff were busy chatting to each other.

There is no shortage of other similar restaurants nearby for noodles or hotpot, so unlikely to come back.

Contrary to the other reviews, customer service we received here has always been good. Nothing out of the ordinary. Taiwanese fast food restaurant offering solid food at reasonable prices. Worth going when hungry and craving asian food at RC.

I just realized that I hadn’t posted the review from a past visit; I wonder if it was from a year ago; (see below). However, not much has changed at this place. In fact, what we ordered yesterday was worse. We had soup noodles and the broth was bland. My Taiwanese sausage wasn’t as sweet as these sausages are known to be. Also, the service continues to be poor - no smiles; we asked for a plate, but got a bowl (twice!) ; no appreciation of our patronage; not rude, but just kind of uncaring that we were there…so strange that this has not been improved upon.

Past review:
The food was average to good, and the service was impersonal - definitely needs to be improved! My fav was the fried rice. Also liked the side noodles. Unfortunately, the white rice probably had been cooked hours ago as it had gotten a bit hard.

Horrible customer service in addition to small portion sizes. Ordered the apple curry brisket, only contained 4 pieces of brisket.

Delicious authentic taiwanese food. Atmosphere is good too. Service could use some improvement such as giving us more than 1 menu when we have a party of 4. Acknowledge us when we wait by the front door. And ask whose order it is when setting down the food instead of randomly putting food down.

I like chicken nugget curry. It’s so yummy. The bbq pork with fried rice is good as well.

Absolutely Horrible service. Male floor manager does not know how to operate a service business and understand that your customers is what’s keeps your business going.

We ordered Tomato & beef Brisket
(番茄牛腩燴飯)
Pig intestine & pig blood in fire pot
(五更腸旺)
and a fried chicken nuggets (台式鹽酥雞)

Some part of their rice was dry and hard
and the portion of the side dishes were little
Why not Either use smaller containers or put a bit more to fill the blank?

Tomato & beef was ok, it’s the least salty dish compared w/ other 2 meals

Chicken nuggets was god damn salty, not recommended at all
You can get more in T&T with only 6-7$ and it’s yummy.

Pig intestine & pig blood was too salty as well

Not worth.

This franchise has gone down hill. Unhappy employees, unsanitary, bad services, downgrades foods.

The fried squid tentacles and fried chicken nuggets are absolutely amazing. Best comfort food

The smell of fried oysters is very strong, which is much lower than Landmark. If you want to eat it, you should not come to rmd center

Very UNPLEASED with the service.
I eat here often but today was astronomically horrible.

Me and 2 other friends went around 1: 00 as the restaurant is slowing down from a lunch rush. My friends and I came in and as soon as we asked for a table the waitress gave us a weird look.

(I don’t know if it is because we are teens that are dressed up how we want to [eg.eyeliner, modern trendy clothing] or it was because none of us spoke chinese. I do not want to assume the worse but that stare already made us uncomfortable.)

The food came in quick and was very good! However, my complaint is their service.

The waitress was very rude and payed no attention to us.

We raised our hands for a good 20 minutes for the bill and the total came to around $82. That was very weird to me as a regular costumer that has eaten there with friends before as they would split the bill.

We tried to get ANY waiter their attention so they can split the bill and it took 15 mins! (BTW in those 15 mins we asked 2 staff for their attention, which they made eye contact with us but ignored me and my friends!) The restaurant was not even too busy as most of the staff was helping hand out take out, clear tables and the restaurant was clearing out.

Finally someone came by and they rudely said, “we don’t split the bill here”

As someone who dines there with family and friends often, I know Pearl Castle can split the bill. After that I knew I was not going to tip well but I could not even do that as the minimum tip percentage was 12%… INCREASING the bill I had to pay alone to a whopping $92…

Never bringing my friends to eat there ever again! My money could have been used towards cheap and good food at the food court but I made the horrible choice of choosing Pearl Castle.

Prices have gone up since the last time I came here. Food hasn’t changed, which is a good thing. Service needs improvement!

Teas are excellent though many will find them too sweet. Just order half sweet. Food is solid but a tad pricey. Service though.needs work.
