Very authentic with generous portionsI got fried rice with fried chicken nuggets, which made me really full, couldn’t finish all by my myself. They don’t offer much of service, but definitely good food.

The food is good, but I was surprised that they only accept cash and “EMT” … when I heard EMT, I was so shocked… so be prepared to go…

Ordered the wrong item by accident and cancelled the order within 20 seconds of placing it. I was still charged for the items, and when I contacted UberEats to ask if I could get a refund, the worker called Pearl Castle to see if they had finished preparing my order (if they hadn't finished, I would've gotten a refund). Since the order was cancelled 20 seconds after it was placed, you'd assume that they would be honest and say that the food hadn't been made yet. Nope, they lied about it and said that they finished making my food. No food, no refund, and if I wanted to order again then I'd be paying double. Just threw away $30 for nothing lol thanks Pearl Castle u guys suck for that:/

Bubble tea, Taiwanese cuisine, dessert; there is lots of different varieties of tasteful foods and drinks.

Last night I came to this Yuanxiang restaurant as an Uber eats delivery boy to pick up food. The clerk ignored me. At the same time, a shabby white delivery boy came to pick up the food. The clerk's attitude immediately changed and he shouted: Thank You Welcome and send. They are also from ethnic minorities. Why do they have to embarrass ethnic minorities but their attitude towards white food delivery workers suddenly changes? This double standard is unacceptable. I will go to the government website to report it. There is nothing I can look down upon more than such self-hatting reverse racists!

Their Kimchi hotpot is really really good. Tastes just like a jjamppong. Now that I found here, I don't need to go all the way to Surrey to have a good jjamppong anymore! Definitely better than jjamppongs at most of Korean restaurants in Metro Vancouver and even better than a lot of restaurants in Korea.

This one server had a terrible attitude.she was rolling her eyes at me and my friends and gave us dirty looks.and to make things worse, she proceeded to have the audacity to ask me for tips.i understand the stress of long work days, but you can not expect to get a tip after treating your customers so badly.also, she was forcing us to do dine in for bubble tea even though we said we just wanted take out.it was clear her motive was all about the tips.

No customer service. Had to chase someone down for water and paying the bill which took 10 minutes each time. Save your time and money for somewhere else.

Food is good and drinks are yummy! Drinks are better to take out as I found the drink I usually order is cheaper to order out rather than drinking in the restaurant! Prices are average so overall good experience!

House special beef noodle is great! My son really likes the cracker dessert, does anyone know what it is or where I can get some locally?

The food is mid, the service is mid, they only care about pumping out food to fantuan and Uber drivers and the wait is really long.

The food is way too average for the price, yes the portions are alright but nonetheless it the food isn’t out of this world.

It’s really annoying to have to basically scream to get any one’s attention if you need anything, the severs don’t even take your order anymore

The boba was really bad, the green apple green tea didn’t even taste like apple it was just coloured green tea…

Horrible service, the table beside us dropped a chopstick and the staff proceeded to pick the other table’s chopstick up and place it on OUR table. Was not aware or cautious of COVID 19! The server with short hair and glasses proceeded to ignore us when we wanted to tell her that it was not our chopsticks/ when we called her over. She contaminated our food and did not say sorry we were not reimbursed either.

You gotta climb the mfing Eiffel tower to use the washroom but otherwise I had a great day with my homies here.

Incompetent lead servers, look to wait 30min+ without staff checking on your order with the kitchen. Had to leave early, no attempt at all from the staff to make amends, and female lead server was not happy she didn't get tipped. Plenty of other competitive restaurants in area, go next fast.

The food is pretty good. The service needs a lot of work. I would definitely go back there for the food. That's the only reason i gave a 3. If the service was better i would give them a 4.

Amazing spot for good food and good drinks, never disappoints!

This spot has been our go to place for Taiwanese food for the last 8 years at least, and throughout all the revamp and the changes, their food has always been consistently great, with excellent service all around.

So many choices for food and drinks, and I think even after 8 years or so of coming here to eat, we have yet to try every single thing on the menu.

They have decent bubble tea and discounts for takeaways promotion. Ordered the Taiwanese style noodle and fried chicken which was large portion.

Food tastes fine. If you order for groups, you must check through each item. They ALWAYS forget one or two things in the order and have the audacity to ask me to pick up.

A staple eatery for the Chinese community in Richmond. A great hangout place serving Taiwanese bubble tea and Taiwanese snacks!

Must must try their Three Cup Chicken special, comes with rice (short grain) not good for diabetics. Best 3 cup chicken in BC. Ask for extra basil yummy. All their foods and drinks are really good, I also love their shaved ice with condensed milk, passion fruit and coconut jelly, OMG, especially on a scorching day like now!

Staff are friendly/nice to customers as i am going there at 2pm not crowded at all so I could enjoy my late lunch very relaxing by myself.

Will not allow you to order in person. You need to place order through an app. Inconvenient but the food is consistent.

The three cup chicken combo is my go to order! Sometimes the side dishes are a hit or miss, but always leave feeling incredibly satisfied. Service is efficient.

Their spoon was not washed properly. They gave us the spoon with unwashed rice from the last person who used it. And when we paid for our check, they just took the extra 4$ for granted and didn’t even bother to give us the option to tip. Food is good.

The food here doesn’t make it! I believe there are better places for authentic Taiwanese food in metro Vancouver. The food here is just cheap, not in terms of price, but quality. I wouldn’t go back. Waste of money and time.

And why is it cash only? We spent CAD40 and had to pay cash.

Their food portions are bigger than most other Chinese restaurant, though with a reasonably higher price. Dishes are decent, nothing surprising. Service is below average, nothing too bad, but not passionate. Overall, I am willing to come, but will not be my first choice when looking for a restaurant to eat.

Costs $18 for this chicken fried rice and portion is small as well. I don't mind paying more for bigger portion but this is unreal. Feels like getting ripoff.

The wait staff was so mean and only told us about the $15 minimum after we already ordered. They seemed extremely impatient and angry when we asked simple questions. Food was OK but would not come back because of our treatment!

You could call us regulars at Pearl Castle. We enjoy Taiwanese cuisine and this place delivers in its own right. On top of having decent dishes, the service is usually passable (or better, depends who your server is), prices good and place is clean enough.

Awe full service, the server didn’t input one of the meal orders even after taking his time to confirm the item at the time of ordering.

Great Taiwanese food! When I come here I like to get the almond fluff condensed milk thick toast, popcorn chicken with fried rice and their beef noodle soup! I especially loved when they had the GIANT beef noodle soup that you could share between four people! Be sure to keep a look out for that!

This place seems to be busy most of the time. We were seated after 10 - 15 mints after arrival, which is totally fine. After we were seated and we placed an order they moved us to smaller table. Our food started to arrrive very late. People who came after us were eating. And when we asked our server to check on our food. They said it has been givin to wrong table. And those people on that table didn't even bother saying anything about it.fml.we were giving discount on our bill for this mistake but we had to wait another 35 mints for our food to arrive. Overall not such a good experience for the first time. But will give it a try again.

Very tasty food at an affordable price. Service was very friendly and speedy when I went to pick up my food.

Water was delicious and free, as was my friends fried tofu which was the first fried tofu I've ever had that left me wanting to order more, good job.

Today we went to your establishment at 12.25am.
It was during last call and we understand that choices were limited. We were order our usually drinks that we had over the years we been here. We were approached and said they dont make hot lychee drink when i had it last night. Also after we received our drinks, the waiter kicked us out because we order to go drinks cause we cant drink those inside. While there no indication to this policy we left without a scene. Out of all my years i been here i never to receive this kind of level treatment to a loyal and repeating customer.

Nice environment offering some special Taiwanese dishes. Foods portions are fairly small for the price.

Good choices in manu for Vegetarians! Very few chinese restaurants have dedicated page in manu for veggie lovers

I feel like they reduced the amount of seafood in hot pot since last year. I still like their curry coconut hot pot though.

Very poor service this evening. Mixed up my order: I ordered loudly and clearly. And the waiter argued with us. There was kimchi on my rice dish. I told them I cannot eat spicy food. And the waiter said: “Kimchi is not spicy. ” And never offered to exchange the dish to something else. I was so upset. I didn’t eat and just packed the whole fried rice to go. My husband still left them a tip though. Never going back to this restaurant.

Have been going to this place since younger days but haven't gone by for many years. Popular and busy. Various Asian dishes. Decent dining environment, good service, reasonable prices and yummy taste.

Had a mixed experience with this restaurant. The drinks were excellent and the food was tasty but they were definitely lacking in the service department. If the restaurant is packed during peak times, they will not have enough servers to keep up with demand. Prices are a touch on the higher side in terms of price per quantity, but the quality of the food was very good. There is ample parking at this mini-mall.

Place is doing very well. Drinks and foods are great. I always go here for the wintermelon juice which I always have difficulty finding!

The food is great and very appealing, unfortunately the staff seems like they don't care at all. We had an incorrect order because our waiter heard us wrong and when we tried to get the item replaced he blamed it on us saying that he had repeated the order and we confirmed it as well as pointed at the item we wanted. We weren't in the mood to argue so we took what we got.

Another incident is that we tried ordering from another waitress midway through the meal and the waitress confirmed that she would get it to go for us, although what we had asked for never came after we finished our meal.

Never coming here again and you shouldn't either for your own good and for your own money's good.

Great food great service but need a better system for line up. Lots of time you have to wait and the problem is they don't have enough staff. The waiting area is small so it is hard to get in and when you are inside you have to look for someone to get your name. They need to have a person just for this.

Food & Drinks are a bit expensive, but never disappointed in the flavors. The service is sometimes questionable. Still good.

I like the Individual hot pot and beef brisket noodle. Good selections on BBT One of my favourite Taiwanese place to go.

The location of this place is really convenient to park since there are so many spots at the plaza. The staff members are sometimes sloppy with my orders once in a while when serving a group of 4 or more, everyone would already have their meals while one person just sits there patiently waiting for his/her meal to arrive where in reality they forgot to place in the order. (I also understand that people makes mistakes) The place in general is a good place to eat besides the minor hiccups along the way.
