The ingredients are fresh and healthy ~ the staff’s service is very good! It is a pregnant woman friendly restaurant

The portions were ok but the vegetables are very very basic and cheap. Napa cabbage stems and little leaf is really cheap.

The meat was very good and amount is just ok. Not sure what the cold tea or ice cream with hot pot? Service was just so so and a bit rude. Booth chairs are very hard on your bottom so remaining comfortably was difficult!

Price is a bit high regardless but that is Vancouver! No way 5 stars regardless how you look at it and I’ve been around to many a hotpot!

I got lamb in their regular soup base. The portions were good for the combo and had a decent variety of items. The regular soup base is a little bland. I had the spicy dipping sauce, but it was really mild, not very spicy. Price was good though!

The highlight of Pearl Hotpot is definitely the food - it's simply amazing! The hotpot broth is rich and flavorful, and the selection of meats, seafood, and vegetables is second to none. Whether you prefer spicy or mild, there's a broth that will suit your taste buds perfectly. And if you're not sure what to order, the friendly staff are always on hand to offer their recommendations.

Delicious, plenty of portions, and plenty of hotpot options. The pineapple ice cream that comes with the dessert is also delicious, and the service is great! Although the restaurant doesn't really look like much from the outside, it is highly recommended.

Individual pots and a generous amount of food per person. Options for additional hotpot toppings available. Food has always been consistent and prices are very affordable. The interior had a light renovation recently and it feels like the ventilation system is a bit better now but you still walk out smelling like hotpot.

This is the best hot pot place in the Vancouver area! I go at least once a week, all the staff are friendly, food always comes out fast, and it is the best quality food! Also, it is the only hot pot place that I've been to that isn't super oily or greasy which I love, and the sets are filling and super affordable. They also always accommodate for food allergies. If you go I recommend making a reservation as they are usually busy. Overall, I love this place, couldn't recommend it enough!

Didn’t eat here but walked in smelled so bad. Wait time is ridiculous. There like an hour and half. Then walked away. Didn’t offer to put our name in a list. Super rude. Will not be going back

I was craving hot pot for lunch and came across Pearl Hot Pot. We were able to get seated right away. Impressed with the meal combos because it came with a generous portion of vegetables, egg, a drink, and dessert. The price was worth it. There was only one lady working but she was very efficient and friendly.

Busy hot pot place. Taste is average. Price is reasonable for the amount. It took almost 20 min to get us meat and veg. It's not like they are cooking it. Difficult to find parking.

In terms of hot pot restaurants, this joint offers awesome value. The ingredients are fresh and generous. Lots of combos and add-ons so you won't ever be bored of their menu. Also a shout-out to the serving staff: the restaurant is always busy during dinner rush and they're always hustling.

Hot pot for this price is unbelievable. I bought my own ingredients and had a hotpot in my place and paid more than this place.

I got the #5 Pork Should Pot and the texture on the meat was perfect. Also the black tea that comes with the combo was amazing. Could not believe it was free. Would recommend asking for a noodle skimming spoon if you happen to get vermicelli.

Great experience! Loved the lamb and vegetables pots we got. I had the basil broth and it was soooo good. Love the tea and icecream that comes with definitely a must try if you like hot pot!

A little on the pricy end but it was not bad. The portions were decent and the experience was great. Staff are friendly but will take some time getting used to their version of friendly. Wish there was an option to customize sauces.

If you want an affordable hot pot, I recommend Pearl Hot Pot. They got hot pots below $20 with free dessert and a drink. Food is delicious. Will definitely come back.

Good food for good price, but if you are not really sure what is what or how you should do with some things, they don’t have really time for you, very busy but nobody ask how we doing or if it’s everything okay

Honestly this has got to be one of the worst hot pot places to dine in. I honestly paid for disappointment. I asked for spicy food, and the broth was hella bland. The combo is overpriced as you, get a minimal amount of meat and lots of lettuce/veggies one shrimp, a single piece of tofu which was small. And just all around no.

We had almost nonexistent service. I asked for water at the beginning of the dining experience, and it never came at all.

The ice cream was also disappointing as the soft serve Oreo flavor was vanilla soft serve in the tiniest little bowl served with a sugar spoon. Topped with a miniscule amount of Oreo crumbs.

My favourite hot pot place! My go to is brisket beef with udon, spicy sauce, regular soup base, and fruit tea. This place is always busy. Make reservation if needed.

Arrived without a reservation but they were able to accommodate us as long as finish in 75 mins. No problem for us. Thank you for great service. Kids love hot pot. Selection and size was excellent.

Love coming here for hotpot! Best value with meal, drink and dessert. Service is always quick, food hot and delicious. Love the add-on options on the menu. My last visit, the wait was about 20 mins or so without a reservation so be prepared to wait especially during dinner rush. There was only one server working the whole restaurant. It was shocking and I definitely felt for her. She did an amazing job. The rush finally died down around 8,815.

I like this style of food serving, a bit of working your own food, simple but fun. Food portion was good, taste was good, desert was nice. It would be great if they can make the temperature control for cooker easier to access for customers, so I wouldn't need to ask them for help frequently.

Lunch is quite decent, the set have drink & dessert included. Definitely coming back for more.

For me, Hot Pot is sort of like a comfort food, and I feel that Pearl Hot Pot maintains that feeling. The food is very well made and since we often sit in the back, we see the staff in the back working to prepare the dishes. The staff are really nice and polite!

The resteraunt layout is very nice, and if you have been going here since before around 2015, you'll understand that the resteraunt has been significantly updated since then. It's especially hard to keep an enclosed space clean especially with all the steam coming from the individual pots, and I think that is something that could be slightly improved.

In summary, this is a really great resteraunt especially for families, it is a bit lonely if you go on your own - but nonetheless, the food is great, the staff are nice, and for the price? It's definitely worth it:)

Food is good, price is good, however, it's under staffed badly, there are only two servers, you may wait a long time to get their attention, but it's not their fault, they are busy af. I think the manager should hire at least two more servers to improve the service quality.

Booked table for 7: 45 and we didn't get seated till almost 9pm the waitress keep telling me 10 more minutes or said give us a table but never heard my name being called and was sitting other guest that had come in the stores Services is not really that Great I don't think I will come back again what the point of making Reservation when we get seat almost 2 hours after

Awsome food, this was my first time having hot pot.delicious! Not a big fan of there music playing but small issue compared to amazing food. Would definitely eat here again. Parking is a little tricky but not impossible, again worth it

It's unfortunate to say that after my experience here this evening, I'm not sure that I'll be back. My daughter and I frequent this place to meet once and a while, and while service was decent aside from the wait to pay the bill at the end because the two servers were chatting, and the food was good, but the very end of this experience was made extremely uncomfortable.

Admittedly I pressed through the pin pad rapidly and paid without tipping, only realizing once the transaction was complete. Upon realizing this, I decided I'd go back to the car to gather some cash to come back with. However as soon as we were about to leave, the server Jocelyn actually stopped us - I thought the payment didn't go through - however she kept on about a "service charge" and asked if we planned on paying cash. As we were already standing up ready to leave, we couldn't grasp what she was trying to refer to, until she added she meant the "tip" and that we did not leave one. She then proceeded to say "people usually leave 10%". I found the whole experience so embarrassing and unprofessional I didn't even bother bringing the intended tip back.

Jocelyn, please know that tips are not mandatory and people should never be chased down for one, let alone embarrassed publicly over such. Had this lady actually waited a moment longer she would realize that she would have received one, but given how embarrassing the whole thing was I changed my mind on coming back with it. I'm generally a very generous tipper but I was so taken aback by this experience I feel like my initial "accident" made the lack of tip well deserved. My daughter worked in restaurants for years and would never have asked such a ridiculous question let alone embarrass the customer in front of others. Bad, bad service.

By far the best hot pot i have been to. My buddy and I went during week day so there was less wait but during the weekend make the call. This hotpot restaurant has good selection of meats and soup bases. The portions and value also very good. Hotpot sets comes with rice/noodle, tea, veggie platter, your choice of meats.bar and table seating are available.

I was first introduced to Pearl Hot Pot from my hot pot lover bf couple years ago. He has always told me that it was one of his favourite hole in the wall places so I decided to try it out. I vividly remember having a horrible first impression because their house dipping sauce tasted horrible!

We returned for the second time last year to give it another shot. I loved it! I remember everything from the sauce, taste, customer service and portions being good.

Yesterday we decided to go again. I give it a 3/5 because overall the meal was good but not fantastic. I ordered the prime beef combo which cost $21 and my bf got the meatball combo which cost $18. Mine came with 6 slices of super thin beef and his came with 10 pieces of frozen fish balls. They both came with small bowl of veggies (3/4 of the bowl was cabbage), choice of udon or rice, choice of green/black/fruit tea and soft serve for after your meal.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: We went at 2pm therefore the restaurant was quite empty. The waitress was was attentive to us but didn't bug us every second. When we got our bill at the end of the meal, she charged us for items that we didn't receive. My bf explained to her the mistake but she immediately fought back and said no he was wrong. After couple minutes of my bf explaining, she finally realized and fixed it up. When she came back with our new bill, she was quite cold.

TASTE: Overall the meal was good. The beef was super super thin and they rolled it to make it look like there was way more than it actually is. The bowl of veggies consist of mainly cabbage (3/4 of the bowl). They put everything else on top to make it look like you get a lot of other variety but be aware!

PORTIONS: I swear over the years the portions have gone down significantly. I always remember not being able to finish everything because there was so much food. But this time, I was able to finish everything but not super full.

PRICE: Their prices has also gone up quite a bit. I completely understand that food costs go up. I used to enjoy this place because it was an affordable joint that gave customers a good bang for your buck. However the price didn't justify the quality and quantity.

DIPPING SAUCE: Their sauce just tasted bland. It just tasted like a combination of Chinese 5 spice and oil. They give you one little portion of sauce and they charge you if you want more. Unfortunate for sauce lovers. I wish they have a make your own sauce option like most hot pot places.

I don't think I would come back for a while. I much rather spend a bit more $ to go somewhere else.

Good place for a quick bite (compared to other hot pot places). The soup base could be more flavourful, and wish we could mix our own sauces.

Love this place. Have been coming here for years. Their sauce is second to none and their prices are fair and include veggie platter, an egg, a cold drink and dessert. What more can you ask for?
