This is such a lovely, quaint place for afternoon tea and much more! The service was beyond excellent. The location is amazing with oceans views and huge windows, not to mention all the character inside the tea house, which I believe is a designated heritage building. A Victorian era with the amazing decor set out for the period. From beautiful tea pots and amazing food, it makes this place #1 on my list. Also, there is parking!

Perfect location. Cutest rooms. Excellent service. And highly recommend Tea Time experience. Delicious! We ordered the Winter Experience and the West Coast Experience. Delicious!

The Huntingdon manor is an excellent place and a great place or gem to experience in the pendray inn and teahouse. Breakfast at this place was amazing and a great royal experience

Worst experience. Terrible and rude staff. The phone number on their website does not work and no one responds to your queries. The staff wouldn’t even pick up my phone or answer my voice mails to confirm my booking which led to me having to book another place. The next day they call me with another number (not even listed on their website) and tell me that they are expecting me. The person talking to me was super rude, off putting, and patronizing. This is an overpriced place with the worst and most rude staff I have ever come across. I will be warning all my friends, family and anyone interested in coming to Victoria know to stay miles away from this place

Visited this quaint yet beautiful teahouse close to the harbour. Had a wonderful high tea experience with my family. Not only did they have vegetarian options, they also give the option of vegan high tea! Their tea was great and tea time offerings were delicious. Service was impeccable and all staff were extremely polite. Highly recommended!

Right across the street from the Clipper ferry, terminal. It has very nice tea and lovely breakfast, as shown in the picture. There is only handheld shower, so we did not bother to take a shower. History lover will like the feel of the hotel, it is like living in a museum. You have reserve many month early, because the few rooms run out fast.

We came to afternoon tea to celebrate my husband's birthday. The presentation was beautiful, and it was wonderful that there was a vegetarian offering as well. We had a window seat.but the reason I'm giving this a four instead of a five star review is because there was a large bird dropping smear on it. It seems this could be taken care of, as there are various people doing things in the garden. When we walked by a couple of days later, it was still there.

M’y daughter and I had our second ever afternoon tea here. She was very excited to dress up and eat mini things. The service at Pendray was just as wonderful as the tea experience. Although the experience was our main objective, we wiped our plates cleaned! The white chocolate scone was amaaazing! We had a great view and a wonderful time!

We had a very beautiful experience at the hotel and the tea house Pendray inn! The employees are very friendly and the service is exceptional!

We came here for an afternoon tea on Sunday and made a reservation in advance. There's a small parking lot behind as well as street parking across the street.
Food: The traditional set menu includes scones, sandwiches, and sweets. The food was ok, and I suspect that some items (e.g. Macarons) were bought from grocery stores.
Service: I indicated that Birthday celebration on my reservation and asked for a table next to the window. They actually brought us a piece of blueberry cheesecake as a gift.
Atmosphere: The restaurant is located in a Victorian style house, which was a perfect setting for an afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea here was very delightful. The teahouse was built in 1867 and sipping tea in the parlor with tasty treats felt like being a part of the history of this place. One comment though, my friend and I who are south east Asian asked the hostess if we could sit at the table by the window facing the street (we had reservations) and received a hard no, but a few minutes in and a Caucasian lady and her daughter (?) were seated at that table. Wonder what that was about? I won't lower the stars because of this person's supposed bias, but she made me feel uncomfortable. The food, service and ambience were otherwise amazing

Very fun, service was outstanding! Go for a birthday or occasion, and they will help you celebrate with a discount!

Great location right in front of the clipper ferry terminal. Quaint and cute accommodation. We stayed here three nights. Breakfast was included and they were served on high tea style tier set. Warm and comfortable room. We had two bikes and they let us park it in the basement covered parking lot. ️

Wonderful afternoon tea in a historical building. The scones are amazingly fluffy and a great selection of teas. Service was impeccable and quality of food was excellent.

Only reason atmosphere was not 5/5 is because it can get noisy in there once it fills up. Nothing else is wrong!

Loved the high tea here. Its in beautiful old historic house. We had the vegan high tea. This location is also in the haunted list of places in Victoria. If you like ghosts and high tea and a inn.this is the place for you. Our server was great and love this attitude.

I am not sure how recent the High Tea reviews are but……
For $64.00 - the desserts and scones tasted store bought and the finger food sandwiches were mediocre. I was disappointed because I so looking forward to it.: (
Positive side - the staff were great!

Absolutely stunning afternoon tea experience from the historic charm of the building itself to the welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The food was phenomenal. I'm in love with the lavender white chocolate scone. I'm definitely going to have to try and recreate it.

There’s a reason why I have this place permanently labeled on my maps: it is by-far the best tea room in the Victoria Inner Harbor, if not the whole city. Compared to other tea rooms in the area, this one takes the tea cake! The atmosphere, staff, quality of food and the price are top-notch. For those coming in from a ferry or seaplane, it is a short walk from the terminals and well worth it. Forget the Empress, this place puts it to shame. Perfect for a day-trip stop, a friendly get-together, or a date. Get a reservation and ask when the busy-time is in hopes to avoid it. Having the opportunity to speak with staff and hear their recommendations is best.

Beautiful house. Front desk staff gave us a tour and told some of the history of the original owners.

We came across this place by total accident when we pulled over in front of the B&B and saw they offered a vegan high tea in addition to conventional high tea, which was perfect for my wife a vegan tea fanatic. 24hr notice required for the vegan high tea. Although the idea of high tea is not quite my cup of tea, the experience was well worth it. Delicious mix of savoury & sweet canapes, scones and desserts paired with your choice of dozens of teas. The service from staff was impeccable.

Well worth a visit, and earn some brownie points from your partner if they are into this kind of experience.

I went here for my birthday a while back with a few friends and it was amazing! It's an experience I suggest everyone do. The food was good, the servers were very kind. I did find the room we were in to be quite cold though. There tea selection is amazing, there's so much to choose from. I personally went with the Singapore one. Would recommend to anyone only downside was that it was quite expensive but for the experience and service I'd say it's worth it.

We had their winter afternoon tea and vegan afternoon tea and both were very really delicious (especially the cream puffs and scones). They were able to easily accommodate dietary restrictions and the teahouse itself was a very beautiful space with nice water views. Highly recommend.

Old fashion charm in a beautiful setting. It’s a great place to have English High Tea overall… but some tips are helpful.

When in Victoria, one of the things to do is have High Tea. You can pay exorbitant rates for the classic atmosphere at the Empress, or try a place like the Pendray with a nice historical feel and tasty menu items for a bit less.

They price things out in the menu around $62 -$68 per person, but with 4 people you can order 2 “servings / trays” as they request you try to achieve the unwritten rule of $30 per person minimum.

The quality of the items in the trays we ordered were mostly good, and some were excellent. But not worth what we paid as we got such small portions.

Look at the picture of the one 3 tier tray of food we got with two pots of tea for over $190 with tax and tip included. The amount paid, or quality of food is not the issue. Just know that this is an expensive snack, not a meal.

The outside gardens were in great shape. Inside was well kept for a building around a hundred years old. But no ramp to the restaurant that I saw, and lots of stairs that could make it not accessible to some.

The staff were friendly and since it was not busy it was relatively quiet especially since we made a reservation ahead of time asking about the best times to be there. They seem like an equal opportunity employer.

We had an issue with the Shirley Temple. It is suppose to be a kids drink with regular Ginger-ale, & Grenadine. Some restaurants sub in Sprite or 7UP and sometimes add in orange juice so it is a bit more tasty for kids.

Be careful as the Pendray makes it with an old fashion ginger mix, soda and a hint of grenadine for colour. It was not sweet, and is not what we’re were used to. It is not what kids are expecting.

We had a good experience overall. For you, with a bit of knowledge ahead of time I highly recommend the Pendray Tea House.

Quite disappointing for how expensive it was. Nothing was worth writing home about, sandwiches were bland & dessert felt a little stale. Usually when portions are tiny the food is good. That being said the service was good and the location was cute.

We stayed at the Pendary Inn for our 3 night trip and we were amazed by the place! Perfect location! The house was STUNNING, and added to the charm of the Victoria experience. The staff was friendly, thoughtful, and so helpful! We absolutley adorded their breakfasts. We will always remember each morning walking down their historic steps in eager anticipation of the delicious meal to come.

Best vegan high tea experience you can find! Beautiful building and environment inside, classic stunning building. The tea was so good, but the food was absolutely delicious. I was worried I wouldn’t find a vegan high tea that wasn’t just random veggies/fruit, and this did not disappoint. I enjoyed every piece of it, and found it creative, high quality, and filling! Also prices were very good for a high tea — especially a vegan high tea. Diverse sandwiches, delicious scones, and divine treats. We had a beautiful spot facing the window over the water. A total must, especially for vegans/vegetarians! Super romantic or intimate!

Quaint little place in prime location. Breakfasts were awesome and just the right size. Lovely little Victorian B&B.
