I am very picky about my matcha and this is my favourite spot to grab a matcha latte. They use a nice grade of matcha, prepare the matcha base properly with a matcha whisk, and the matcha to other ingredient ratio has been consistently good!
Their hojicha latte and coffee drinks are also very good! LOVE the baked goods here. The staff are also wonderful!
It’s located at E Hastings and Garden Dr along the main road (accessible by the R5 bus or 7 Nanaimo). Seating is limited, but the ambience is so cozy.

Everything was great food and coffee. Atmosphere was just boring. Not a lot of tables to choose from. Decor was just bad.

Excellent coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. Absolute gem on Hastings. Becoming a regular stop on my lunch and coffee rotation!

The best tea lattes in Vancouver! They hand mix the tea in front of you. Their hojicha & roasted oolong lattes literally make me drive 30 minutes to just pick them up!

Such a cute coffee shop and the vets baked goods.we took a tried a few of their croissants and baked goods, and they were amazing.the staff were really sweet and service was amazing. I would highly recommend their coffee, the hazelnut chocolate croissant and the matcha crosisant!

The atmosphere is great I had a amazing latte and next week when I am in the area I will try the food it looked delicious.

I wanna recommend the most crispy and yummy croissants I’ve ever had in Vancouver to all customers with no doubt! Staffs are also so friendly and kind. Will come back frequently.

Great vibes, there’s computer campers but it doesn’t kill it, still free tables available. Service is great, drip coffee is good and flat white was made to perfection (with oat milk). Pastries looked REALLY good, I had the vegan chocolate chip cookies and they were perfect with coffee. But what made me the happiest is that they sell Foonie cards which is an artist that I love love and always support. She moved to Montréal and it’s getting harder to find her cards around town (I personally like to touch the cards before I buy them, but you can find her on Etsy). There’s other cute merchandise, it’s a nice space overall.

Major 5 stars for their ultra flaky croissants! There is a full bakery in the back so it appears they bake their pastries fresh daily, yum! I couldn’t help myself so I ordered a butter croissant, almond croissant and strawberry jelly donut. The almond croissant has a creamy runny condensed milk almond filling; so delicious but also a tad too sweet. The donut was quite dense, still good, but my pick would hands down be the croissants! Also ordered a cappuccino, which were average. I would say come for the coffee but stay for the croissants! Definitely recommended

My fave little East Village coffee shop. They always have a fresh selection of delicious pastries (ahem matcha donut anyone?) and super friendly service.

The cookies were absolutely delicious! We had the chocolate chip, the oatmeal and the double chocolate cookie. Each one was soft, chewy, and cooked just perfectly. It made the perfect pairing to my coffee

Ordered from here a few times and am always blown away by how fresh and tasty the drinks are:) The London fog that I ordered this morning was still piping hot and the best I’ve had in the lower mainland! Americano was hot and bold as well. Will definitely stop in to try some of the fresh pastries in the shop one of these days. Love the logo/branding too

They looked better than what they tasted. The croissant was dry on the outside and lacked flavour. The doughnut dough was also too dry.

Had a mango hojicha latte, a matcha donut, and an Earl grey croissant. Delicious filling, and not too sweet. Very beautiful and clean interior, bright and modern. Staff are very friendly

Love the coziness and relaxing atmosphere here. Nice coffee and freshly bake croissants. The staff’s smiles just like BC sun shines and it just simply made your day even more beautiful!

This is such a cute cozy cafe! The staff here are incredibly nice and friendly, really makes the whole cafe feel super warm and lovely! On top of that, the bakery here especially the donuts are fantastic! Personally I loved the matcha flavoured one, definitely worth giving it a try

There are a few really good coffee places along this area of East Van. This place creates a cozy atmosphere accompanied by creamy cappuccinos. Their coffee might edge out the surrounding coffee shops in their consistently good coffees. It is a small place, but if you find a nice spot, it is a great place to study or read with a cup in hand. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I absolutely love this cafe! You can tell that he’s passionate about coffee based on how much he knows about it. The baked goods and sandwiches are tasty and delicious. I come here for the perfect latte and great service, but I stay here because of the nice ambience.

Pennyroyal is a hidden gem! I happened to come across it one day by chance and have loved going there ever since! The food is delicious and the staff are so wonderful! I can't say enough great things about this place.

Great coffee and chocolate croissant.
The coffee was very good quality, a bit sour after taste, which comes with a good quality Arabica beans usually, and it perfectly complemented the sweetness of the chocolate croissant.

I also got the spinach pita, even though it wasn't pita, but that's what it was called and it was very fresh and very tasty.

The coffee and the atmosphere is great, it is a busy, cozy cafe on a Sunday morning. But I hope the owner and employees can update their hygiene practices in the workplace - I saw an employee enter the cafe to start their shift this morning without washing their hands and dealing with customers’ food and drink orders, including touching tea bags with their bare hands immediately after touching their personal items. I found that super nauseating.

Tried the earl grey croissant and donut. Both were delicious, I wish I had bought more as i do not live in the area! The mocha was very good, I think that they use real chocolate and not the syrup/sauces that other places use and you can definitely tell!
