This is a great venue that had a lot of accommodations and considerations — The space, bar and bathrooms were all great, and the main room is great but maybe bot for dancing. Laminate floors on a hard surface like concrete, definitely not the best venue for social dancing all weekend long.

Spacious room suitable for a variety of shows on a mysterious tiny island, where tourists often get happily stranded.

Nice small theater. Staff very friendly. We went or see a play there and was amazed by how well it’s delivered.

The space and show were lovely! However.the toilets are most disturbing. BEWARE THAT MEN AND LITTLE GIRLS ARE ASKED TO USE THE SAME BATHROOM WITHOUT DOORS! My husband had to ask me to go to the bathroom with him when he walked in and there was a little girl washing her hands across from the men's urinals. He needed me to guard the entrance and not let any children in while he used it. I'm shocked that the theatre has created this UNSAFE situation.for both men and children. We will never go to a show here again. It's mind boggling that this is happening. I will post a picture if I am able to.

Major venue on Granville Island for arts festivals such as Fringe Theatre, Jazz and Writers as well as events like annual 10k Turkey Trot run.

Went to a Fringe festival theatre show here and it was a pretty cool event and venue. The volunteers for the show were very friendly and welcoming, and they had everything, Covid-wise, will organized!

Lovely small venue with good acoustics for live music on Granville Island. Lots of good places nearby for a before or after show dinner or drinks.

This was a great big small venue. That is, big in size but it felt very intimate. The staff was very helpful and welcoming and the overall ibe of the place was excellent. If I had a comment and - this is also something that many other small venues have to deal with - is the inability to accept credit or debit cards. I can only imagine how much more money they might make if they were able to offer this service.

Saw the best musical comedy with a great all star cast and w snacks and booze at the concession. Best Cinderella version ever

We went for the Valentine's puppet show - fundraiser. Great fun event, for a good cause and well organized. Great venue. Free parking after 6pm:)

Nice environment, nice size space. Went to see The Broadway Chorus' annual Christmas Panto, was very enjoyable!

The Writers Festival Literary Cabaret Event is for us the key event that we never miss. 2019 event will have 6 acclaimed writers read a selected part of their books with Sal Ferreras’s jazz bank link their music with each reading.this is always a sellout performance and the atmosphere set in The Performance Works site makes it an exceptional experience.this event on Granville Island at night makes it a magical evening.

It seats many people. We couldn't hear lady speaker, no mic. Larry was great we could hear that well.it's not theatre seating. A couple in front of my daughter had their heads together, she wasn't able to see.
I ask that people think about who's behind them. We all paid for our tickets.

I've been here for both music and theatre and always enjoy myself. It's not fancy but has good acoustics and is very versatile. They usually have a small bar and snacks and the seating always varies. It's a little inaccessible in that it's at the far end of Granville island but an easy walk from various forms of transit.

Performance works has disappeared me in the past, but after seeing the Gay Mens Chorus tonight I've definitely changed my mind.
It shone like the stars tonight.
Its obvious that a venue will reflect the talents of the chosen technical crew, if you choose carefully (For the change from boring to phenomenal is in their hands) you can truly amaze.
Tonight everything came together.
From the cabaret style seating to the extensive use of effective lighting and sound that wouldn't quit it more than proved that the potential in Performance Works is there and can make an event magical.
