Perks Donuts

They have great chili! I love ordering it to the office for lunch on a rainy day. I think I might get some today too. Also, when they didn't have something in stock, the lady called me to let me know and replace it with no extra charge. Thanks Perks!

Things have changed. The donuts whilst fresh are now very oily and the oil tastes used on the last three occasions we purchased them. I put paper towel under this purchase and changed it twice was amber colored, soaked with oil. Better but still pretty oily.handling and cooking process has changed in a bad way. Disappointed.

So i had heard about this from my bro inlaw. We finally got the chance to go. Lots of doughnuts. I love sour cream doughnuts, and they had a few different ones. I chose chocolate. It was nicely crisp but also doughy loved it. Hubby had the bacon one? I say what the heck, but the flavor combo was actually rlly good for the bacon doughnut. Anywho, if you like doughnuts, it's def the place to go.

The stars on this review are a little misleading, because I never got to sample it. We pulled up at 3pm, went in to order, only to be told that they were closing - even though hours were until 4pm! Nothing to eat, but they did tell us about Duke's, which was quite good.

Pretty damn good. Food is fresh and delicious. Donuts are awesome. I had an apple fritter and it was to die for. It actually had pieces of apples in it. Yum yum.

When I see comments like the one before mine "Robert", i find so inconsiderate because they have no idea what has recently happened to the owner and baker of Perks earlier this week. First of all this is a small business and as most small business they are run by usually one person, the owner who operates all aspects of that business. And if staff told you they were out of food and closing early that day is because the food here is so good and they do at times sell out early, most days they do sell out early. Perks is ALWAYS busy early in the day because the food is so fresh, you might want to get there earlier next time so you get a chance to enjoy it rather than give them a low bad review rating.
I wish the owner and baker get well wishes in the hospital at this time and hopefully a speedy recovery so that you can get back to baking us those delicious donuts that you are famous for! And way to go to the staff for keeping the business operating as best they can through his absence.

Fantastic food and donuts. If you are hoping for a donut after lunch, good luck, dont bother. They are open until 4pm, but looks deserted by 2pm. Might as well only be open until 2pm. Very disappointing! You cant get an amazing donut later in the day.

Amazing freshly baked donuts and pastrys made in house everyday! And also make great food, had a great corn chowder the other day and super delicious sweet clam pastry afterwards! Could taste the home cookedness in it compared to something like Timmies!

If you simply want to grab a bite to eat, a coffee and a donut, and you don't care about elegant ambience, I would reccomend Perks. The place is always busy during the day, it attracts the locals who like to visit. Perks offers a simple menu with a variety of selections from soup or sandwiches or pizza, and you add your own cream and help yourself to your own cutlery something like Starbucks. I like the down to earth appeal.

Lovely homemade bread and donuts the pizza is good but I wish they didnt put canned mushrooms on it.

In Campbell River at lunch time? Then this is a must-see soup, sandwich and bakery. Generous portions, best donuts, good value.

Fresh home made donuts don't get better than this.
