The pork belly sandwich IS TO DIE FOR. It melts in your mouth and super flavorful. They also have a fire pit outside so you can hang out with a few friends.
My family had an absolutely delicious lunch. They went above and beyond to accommodated by gluten allergy. My husband also said the beer was delicious. Walking around the farm was a highlight for the kids. Can't wait to go back.
Great place to visit for a few drinks. Staff are super friendly. I’ve been twice for the stout. On todays visit they had a magician who baffled us, we’re still trying to figure out how he did the card tricks. Will recommend to anyone visiting Gibsons!
Look, its a neat place out in the country, no doubt. But riddle me this, how can it be that a pint at the source, both the Pauls Ale and 3.8% Weisse tap beers we bought cost $9.20each with tax? Thats more than some of the pubs that serve Persephone charge but have delivery and handling costs in their pricing? To top it off, they ask for 18% tip over the counter on epaying! Tip for what? Why ask even at any type of over counter exchange? Nope, its out of control, microbreweries everywhere are gouging, Persephone is one of them. Ive started buying more import and big brewery beer as its good and costs less, the economy is waning, people are going out less, breweries take note.
Persephone is great place to relax and have drink or a meal. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar and being out near nature. Seeing the chicken was great fun. Will have to visit again for sure!
Good food, great beer, friendly staff and a fantastic setting. Loved exploring the farm, and there's lots of places for the kids to play while the adults enjoy sampling the beer. You can tell Persephone cares about sustainability and giving back to its community. Will definitely stop in again next time I'm on the Sunshine Coast.
On August 26,2022, we came off the ferry and directly drove to this place for their own beers. On the fridge window, there is notice saying buy any 4 packs got $3 dollars off. We thought it was good deal with this promotion. So we bought 4 packs and paid about $80 dollars with tip for $5 dollars (No service to us at all, we were happy because just started trip in Sunshine Coast) Then we left. Back to home, I looked at receipt in my email and found out the sales lady didn’t give us the promotion deal which was the reason we bought 4 packs. 4 packs beers have 16 cans in total and cost me about $80 dollars! I even mentioned the $3 promotion deal. So I think she is not honest and their beer price is is over the price as well. Please ask the price and the deal before you pay because they don’t even shoe the real price to the customers. I guess they know most customers are tourist and easy to be cheated! So be careful next time!
We had a very laid back rainy afternoon here where we just chilled inside playing cards and enjoying the beer and food from the wagon. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience the unique farm to glass vibe of the Sunshine Coast.
Visited on Thurs and all of us left pretty disappointed by our experience. I was with my parents who had previously visited Persephone's and loved it so they wanted my brother and I who were visiting from TO to check it as well. Previously when they visited there was no food available so their server told them they could bring outside food in. When we were planning our visit my parents remembered this detail and also double checked their website to see if anything had clearly changed (i.e. A clear food menu was available). Anyway we got there, ordered drinks and even double checked their QR code for food before unpacking our charcuterie type food at the picnic table. Then someone working came up and said very sarcastically "I didn't realize this was a picnic spot" "you don't usually bring food to a restaurant. " Of course we explained we didn't realize they were offering a food menu so offered to pack things up. Anyway the server (or other staff not sure?) said something along the lines of "it's too late now" and walked off. Of course we packed up our stuff anyway and didn't stay much longer. My dad/brother still ended up buying lots of beer inside before we left and said the servers inside were very nice but our interaction outside definitely didn't leave a good or welcoming impression.
One of the best breweries in BC. We’ve spent multiple hours drinking, snacking, playing games and exploring the farm. It’s always the first stop on a Sunshine Coast getaway.
The beers were tasty but the kid at the front serving us was rude. I explained that this was our first time but his attitude was not accommodating and did not provide any recommendations about any of the beers available on tap. I’m sure it would’ve been a nicer experience if the customer service was at least above average. Disappointing.
A fantastic spot to visit in Gibsons, especially on a sunny day! They have a wide variety of draft beers to try and delicious food options to pair with (Asam was cooking curries and wood-fired naan when we visited). Explore the brewery grounds or enjoy any of the many seating options available around the property.
Good looking place to grab some great craft brews, we couldn’t find a place to sit down for a while when we got our flights, but I guess that’s kind of expected with ferry traffic
T-Shirt was expensive. Great name, good beer. Located near the Langdale ferry terminal and grows its own hops. You can pick them to pay for your beer. Beer available for drinking there or offsales. Snacks at the counter and I think a food truck comes around for lunch.
Came here right as soon as we got off the ferry. Very cute farmhouse concept where you can literally smell fresh beer being brewed as you enjoy your drinks on one of their many seating areas! They also offer tasty gin cocktails if you aren't interested in beer, and their food menu (although we did not order any) looked and smelled delicious.
My favorite drink would have to be their lavender pear gin cocktail. It wasn't too sweet and was very refreshing. Gin is also a low acidic alcohol option so it's perfect if you suffer from reflux disease like I do!
We just had the best experience at the brewery! They had delicious beer and were able to head down to the chicken coop while we enjoyed the beers. Emma and the other lady, who we didn't catch her name was absolutely fabulous. They made our entire experience! Definitely recommend!
Great spot for kids since they can run around the property while you drink delicious beer. The burger was just alright, but I didn’t come here for a gastronomical experience, just for a good brew.
This farm brewery is a real charmer. They have a wide variety of beers with stunning labels. And the grounds are worth a wander through. The experience at Persephone is unlike any other!
Amazing spot, really great beer and lovely staff! Definitely take a walk around the farm and if you are around on a Sunday stop by the farmer’s market.
It's been a couple years since I've been to the brewery. I gotta say they have done so much, the farm looks great, the brew house and tasting room have come a long way. Will definitely be making more trips out here.
Beer is good, pretty chilled atmosphere. They have a decent amount of outside seating, but it does seem to be a bit of a free for all. We managed to get a single bench which wasn't particularly comfortable and had visible screws sticking out of it, but it was in the sunshine which was wonderful ️We will be back ️
The pulled pork sandwich was $14 and it was small and unimpressive with not much flavor. The beer was good. The server seemed tired. There was plenty of seating but the benches were not comfortable.
We went to Sunshine Coast for a team retreat and visited Persephone for a fun afternoon involving a brewery tour. They have the nicest staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
Awesome beer, great non-beer selection for drivers/smaller beings. The farm location is great and plenty of outside space and great distancing for COVID.
What a wonderful place to hangout and have a quick drink or sit for a few hours and enjoy the quietness on the location, you have the choice of sitting outside by the fire pits, or inside with heaters. It has a really good vibe, and very neat location. Would highly recommend coming here if your stopping near Gibsons. I would say the only downside is the food closes to early.
Persephone is just an incredible brewery and company. As a proud B Corp, they serve cold beer (and cider) with warm hearts and frequently host small local businesses on their farm as part of their summer farmer's market series. Their brews almost always seem to be donating to nonprofits as well, so you can feel good about not only supporting a fantastic local business, but often a nonprofit as well! From Peach Hefeweizen's to Coast Life Lagers, I can't recommend them enough.
Loved the beers. What a great open space, there are so many places to sit! (Indoor and outdoor). I also love that it's dog friendly, so bring your puppers.
Persephone is a really great brewery. Their beer is great, the brewery and grounds are beautiful. I wasn't a huge fan of their flatbread, but it was still good. If you're on the sunshine coast, you must stop by and have a pint. Really cool place! The patio/ outdoor seating and grounds are all dog friendly as well.
Love everything about this place! The food, beer, veggies, and of course the amazing staff! There’s a girl named Jade that left a lasting impression! Amazing smile and a super friendly attitude! I’ll definitely be coming back<3
Highly recommended! Very relax atmosphere You can take your beer and enjoy in a very intimate/seclude area in a grassy area. With shade. Self served counter services. Have not try the food. Enjoyed great beer.
Truly a hipsters paradise. Delightful in pretty much every way. If you are looking for a relaxing spot to have a drink of good beer and hang out with some friends, you need to check it out.
Nice beer variety, not the most conventional ordering system. Beautiful outside areas to sit with lots of little areas of space on the grass. Inside area with couches! Brick oven pizza maker and food truck on side of building - order food there. Beer-order inside. Comfortable spot!
Beer is good. But don't order the food from the food truck. We arrived at 7pm (they close at 8pm) and it wasn't that busy - 45 minute wait for a cheese pizza for kids. Several people have asked for refunds and or complained. Somehow a table next to us magically was receiving their food. I went up to find out about our order and was rudely told they have one oven. Note To SELF- come for drinks again but never ever eat here again. Ridiculous.
Amazing place! We stopped by Persephone during our long weekend trip to the Sunshine Coast. The beers were great and they had an amazing outdoor space either on a regular open concept patio, grass and picnic style tables and even a mini sunflower field. The entire outdoor area is dog friendly which is always a plus.
Highly recommend people check this place out while touring around the area.
Sharing my experience at the 'can'. Wow, the stout is superb. What stands out is it's 'stoutier' in all respects than the leading brand one I shall not name. I also don't mind the bigger, bubblier head that you get from the well advised hard pour. I am so glad, as a Sunshine Coast resident, that I can support another great local beer.
Nice place to chill out. Boardgames and fun events to keep everyone occupied. There's a good truck for snacks. The beer was pretty good, according to my husband
