Super terrible customer service, instead of improving, the management seems to cut back on caring for customers
In recent months the cashiers avoid helping customers bagging their shopped items, looks like it’s instruction by manager rather than choice, so nothing against poor cashiers working at minimum wage
I have been a regular customer over 15 years due to lower prices of some groceries (though at times lower quality!) and specialty items imported from Iran
But seriously am having second thoughts and May stop going there and not to support irrespecutful behaviours

Low prices- not anymore

Terrible customer service, dirty always.
I was there today for grocery shopping, the system was not workig to pay with credit card.
The manager was late. Nobody knew how to reboot the system.
I offered help. They didn't care and kept me waiting.

And they didn't trust me to come back later and pay 20 dollars.

When the manager came instead of apologies for wasting customer time, he brought up lots of nonsense excuses in a very impolite tone.

I will preface this with the only reason I shop here is the proximity (a block away) and reasonable prices. I usually don't complain about customer service but Lord in Heaven this place (West Vancouver location) could take the crown in worst I have ever experienced. In the past I worked retail for 15 years so I've experienced the worst.
1st memorable instance: Produce worker on the floor SCREAMS at me to get off my phone while talking to my partner about getting a specific produce. Whether I had been in his way or not, this is bad.
2nd memorable instance: Today I went to do my occasional run, my turn in the queue. I have used my Persia Foods reward card without incident in the past (which was an ordeal to even obtain for some reason). I made the mistake of snanning it myself. Without a word to me, the cashier snatches the reward keytag out of my hand and calls her colleague (manager? Higher up?), exchanges words without looking at me. I ask "what's the problem? " Cashier looked at me like I had six heads. I repeat the question, she held up my keytag and says "sorry" and discarded it. If there was a language barrier, I empathise but there was no proper communication and her colleague didn't respond to my query either. I'm still confused. I felt bad and apologised for holding up the (short) queue.
So I just ask "what's my total? " $12.47. I paid cash - since pennies are discontinued, I gave her $12.45 (rounded down which is standard). The cashier gave me the dirtiest look and told me I underpaid. I gently but now visibly annoyed, reminded her about pennies and gave the nickel without much fuss and left. There's more to life than quibbling over 2 cents, but I left with my 3 items and a terrible taste in my mouth. There are other non-incidents that come to mind (cleanliness, pigeons roaming the aisles etc.) but I'm sure other customers covered these bases.
Persia Foods, you can do better.

It used to be an average quality and good price but now they are increasing the price every day. It’s not worth to drive to this store and I can buy better quality and cheaper price from the super market in my neighbourhood. Rude employees. FOB

Awful customer service!

Rude staff, except one lady at front cash register! The manager & store owner have zero customer service skills. I won’t be shopping here anymore and do not recommend this store.

Worst service ever! No matter what you ask any of their workers, they just reply "I don't know" do they work there at all?

Not everything has price tags, it's very annoying.

Persia foods hands down is the reason why I look 26 but am 41. I love how I only leave with healthy food. Having no healthy food on the shelves is what gives me a 6 pack, shredded upper body and now crushing 80 pound dumbells on incline press with a 500lb deadlift.

I have won multiple fitness shows in Vancouver only eating Persia Foods

My female game is on point because of Persia foods, so many Persian Jezebelles come up to me and take my number and send me nudes. I rebuke them all. Either way babes and bros rock Persia foods.

On top of it all Persia foods is 44% lower cost then IGA, what!?

Unusual for a West Vancouver store but this supermarket is as bad as it gets. The service is terrible and some employees are even rude to thee point of never going back. The grocery section is super poor quality.almost seems that they buy damaged goods. The store is disorganized and looks more like a warehouse than a supermarket.
At least for me I will never return.

I have bought from this store several times and it is getting better every day
Today, September 9,2022 was better than ever, it has good mannered cashiers and polite employees, and of course, quality products, and better prices than other stores.
There was only one interesting point, the price of the West Vancouver branch of Persia was higher than the price of the North Vancouver branch, I shop because of the prices of the North Vancouver branch

The owner increased the price to double the price. The meat and stuff that they are selling is having the worst quality. I'm not going to buy from this store anymore. This is not fair to increase the prices to double and tell everyone it's the global market.

Lots of stuff in this location. There is a nice produce section in the back. The staff weren't that pleasant to deal with if you have any questions. If you know what you want, there shouldn't be any problem for you. On a good note, this location is cleaner than some other locations.

Worst staff ever. Rude and irresponsible. I told them I will never buy from your shop and they said it doesn't matter to them! The carts are broken and the place is dirty. Never buy from this grocery store. NEVER!

Good place to get advocates and raw cashews. We stopped buying loaf bread as it was not fresh a few times. Great place to get pomegranate and cherry juice. Most of the products are very fresh due to the high customer volume turning over products fast

It is situated on 15th street in West Vancouver, right beside Esso. If you are looking for grade A vegetables, this is the place to go. I usually buy meats from this Persia. Even for other groceries such as vegetables and spices, I come here.

It is really easy to find parking nearby. The prices are reasonable, and usually, they always have my favourite fruits and vegetables. You can find many Iranian foods here, which you will not find anywhere else. The only problem is there should be more checkout counters during weekends when it is jam-packed. Happy shopping, everyone.

Definitely is the most variable persian market in BC, but it can be more clean more detailed with better customer service.

Great prices and friendly staff! I love it, but if you are looking for wide spacious isles this is not your place.

Saturdays night are usually best time to buy your veggies and fruits, quite not busy and loaded with lots of fresh stuff

Good price, fruits are better than other branch in Lonsdale but as other branches, very unorganised and dirty!

Good variety of fresh produce at good prices. Persian breads, herbs and dried goods. Good selection of cheese, hummus, olives, dips. A bit chaotic and not extremely clean or organized. Good place for fruit and veg.

I was surprised that the store had stopped the control of customers coming into the store on May 14,2020. I was there around 6 PM on the Thursday and there was no staff member or guard limiting the store access at the Clyde Ave entrance. (They don't want customers using the Marine entrance) Way too many people shopping with not much social distancing by customers. The previous week the store was controlling the number of customers in the store. I'll have to check out the Lonsdale and 15th store in North Vancouver to see what controls they have.

Don’t go there to be treated like royalty. Produce is fresh and consistent. Prices are so much lower than the big guys. For those who rated 3 and below, great shop elsewhere.

Great place, gret pricees, a little uncluttered but totally worth the savings. Staff are helpful and Genuine. Local businss, w always try to support as much as we can

This store has improved a lot. The new management has done a-lot for this place. Store looks cleaner and i love the atmosphere at this location. Keep up the good work:)

WATCH THE PRICE TAGS! BE CAREFULL AT THE CASHIER! I got 8 items, discovered the cashier entered a wrong price (allways mistakenly higher? ! L), when i told her she laughed at me (!) saying first its just a buck higher! Then she said i am wrong not her! Then she made a face and did correct the price. I was quiet all the time and she was performing her rude reactions like a pre-programed rude robat!
When i checked the receit at home i realized she over priced another item too!
2 wrong pricing in 8 items!
Do they do this in porpose as a source of income? !

Hands down the best produce in west van. If only service could match! Super fresh fruits and veggies. Great foreign foods too.

The watermelon was so bad and so were the persimmon, I am sure they were frozen from last year as all of them were rotten. And they never care and the lady in charge is so illogical.

Young women cashier laughed at me when I returned green champagne grapes because I said it was only sour and bitter. And she even said that's how they're supposed to be, which is complete nonsense because I bought the same grapes many times from them and it's sweet with only a bit of sour. The fact that she laughed at me was so rude and disrespectful, worst customer service experience I've ever had.

Too many plastic bags! I asked about their plan to switch eventually, and the staff did not appear to care at all. I usually go to the mushroom section in the grocery store to grab a paper bag, but there weren’t any here. Most paper bags are made mostly of recycled paper. It’s the way to go!

In the last couple of months the price of ALL products ran up crazy and as an example the customers don't purchase Celery because of its higher prices. Since last week I tried couple of times to find one bunch of celery but always they were rotten!

This store is gross and all product are rotten.
Whatever I buy the next day goes bad.
The manager “Mahmoud” was very rude and insulting. I never seen a store manager talk to customers like this.
There is no standard for this store and products.
Don’t get fool by cheap prices.

I like all of the staff that works there, they also have the best prices on some items. Also have my favorite olive oil at the best price. So many things actually. We go there all the time. Pretty much only shop there, whole foods and choices.

Fresh because of fast turnover because they are always busy. Good prices also. The staff are very focused on their job and at first seeming a bit distant, but now that I get to know them, they are all very friendly nice people. Just talk to them and you will see.
