Stopped by early afternoon for a bite to eat. Hubby and I shared the Roast Chicken Sandwich and Carrot Cake, drip coffee for me and English breakfast tea for him. Service was friendly and polite and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Cute enough, but despite previous reviews this place is not good for plant based options. Beware if don’t eat animals or have dairy allergies.

Had a nice time here; cozy atmosphere, not too busy on a Good Friday. I absolutely loved the blueberry danish, could tell it was fresh with delicious cream cheese and juicy blueberries. Avocado bacon wrap took a little while to make but that seems to be because they make it fresh as it was nice and hot, and it was deeelicious! Like a sit down restaurant style. Definitely coming here again to try the wide menu selection.

Our bike clubs have been patronizing 'Petras' (now L'aromas) for years and have ALWAYS had a great experience. Sadly, this new management is nothing like it used to be. Our breakfast bagels take forever to prepare, and I've now been forced to go back inside to collect my (very mediocre and tepid) cappuccino as the staff doesn't bother to bring to our table any longer! Why give our table a number if you're just going to leave our drinks on a PUBLIC COUNTER while they cool off, and are subjected to other patrons hovering over them? Yuck!
Their barristas were once experienced and knew how to prepare a good cappucino, but not since the name change.
How dissappointing. I'm not sure how long before our various bike clubs are forced to find a coffee shop that caters to its clientele, cause this new management clearly DOES NOT CARE!

Food was above average, great croissants! Service was very slow, ordered 2 breakfast sanwiches and a latte. Took 10 minutes for the latte and more than 15 minutes for the toasted English muffins with egg ham and cheese. There were on 6 people including myself in the establishment at the time.

I didn't rate the food, but it looks amazing! This is my go to coffee shop! I absolutely love this place!

Unfortunately in 2023 the service has been horrible, dear owner, you have a good product and beautiful place but if you do not make sure your employees offer an outstanding customer services you will lose business.

I got a lavender matcha latte with soy milk and my husband got an iced white chocolate mocha. Both drinks were delicious, but I'm not sure if I would come back. The girls were kind of indifferent and I wish they had drink specials, like different flavored drinks.

My girlfriends and I come here weekly while our kids are at cheer practice. Always delicious food and drinks. Getting a table at peak times can be a challenge tho!

Food and coffee is good enough.but never consistent.they’re always slow or rude and I never get the same portions or but I keep paying more? Like prices are so high but I keep getting less and less food?

Ordered a turkey club sandwich and a mango smoothie. Got the smoothly, it was okay but kinda bland. Our turkey club came with mustard on it and the menu says it comes with mayo. It also took a very long time to be served I'd estimate 20 mins. I asked them to remake the sandwich which they did and within 5 minutes. However, I then got what I can only describe as a vegetable medly with a slice of turkey and half a piece of bacon, between two pieces of white bread. It had stripes of green and red pepper, pickles and red onion, mayo one slice of deli turkey meat and half a slice of bacon. By this time I was tired of waiting and my one year old was getting unruly. I ate the "sandwich" and left. 0/10 would not go back back. Terrible service and terrible kitchen staff.

I had a mouse run across my foot i told the manager and they just shrugged it off

DO NOT ORDER THE AVOCADO TOAST HERE. Sorry, you can't sell dry pieces of toast with the minimum amount of manufactured avocado spread and call it avocado toast.

Update, owner refunded amount and apologized. Kudos for that. I will be back. Mocha coffee and breakfast bagel was very good.

Went from Vancouver and experience with mocha with whipped cream was a stunner and also the stuffed mushrooms with cream cheese sauce is extraordinary. Live music.outdoor patio right along the street planning to go back.

Well. Not too happy with my iced coffee. Not really what i wanted but i didnt explain myself enough i guess. Marguaret/pepperoni pizza was excellent. When i eat the crust, good pizza. Nice out on the patio today, on the shade. Looks like they were setting up for some entertainment out there tonite. Looks like a fun nite at petra's tonite! Perfect evening, good food, some wine, date nite anyone!

Great friendly local coffee shop. Great coffee and food. Good place to sit on the patio and have lunch. Even have wine. Baked goods done onsite and fabulous. Give it a try.

My go-to for mushroom pizza when I’m in the area. Dough to topping ratio has been perfected to a craft. Very lovely!

Went for a coffee yesterday am, barrista was not overjoyed that I told her my coffee was luke warm

Great food, great service, awesome coffee! I host a weekly coffee gathering at Petras with 10-20 people. Petras staff are always so accommodating, they’re patient when we pile in and place our orders. They bring out our yummy lattes and treats and seem to appreciate our crew. Bravo Petras! Ladies with Lattes of the South Delta Woman’s Social Group appreciate your amazing service, yummy treats, and great coffee!

I’ve never tried Petra’s for dinner before, and the food was great! However, table service and even a check back would be nice given the price of our bill for 2 people since we had wine. We tipped generously but had to help our selves to water, we asked for cutlery, side plates and napkins.

We’ll be back based on how yummy the food was!

Fantastic place for a quick lunch! Had the soup and sandwich combo with coffee, and I found the serving size to be the perfect amount!

Hidden gem in Tsawwassen. Stopped by there yesterday before going to a play with friends for a quick bite. Nice patio as well.

Great pumpkin spice coffee, the small coffee size came in a big mug! With a beautiful froth leaf design!

Carrot cake and coffee! Staff didn't have a problem with my dog sitting with me in the outdoor seating area with fireplaces. Cakes are large enough to share and tast homemade.

I very nice cafe that also serves dinner and is fully licensed. The pizzas here are delicious - thin crust baked on a stone with fresh dough.

An absolute staple for Tsawwassen. If you haven't gone to Petra's before you need to go try it out. The extended patio is amazing, food and drinks are great and the staff is always friendly. Lucky to have this great spot in our community!

Stopped in for a beverage and a snack on the way home from the beach. Lots of tasty choices and the option of a glass of ice to accompany our sodas/juices was very much enjoyed on a hot day. Seating was spacious and comfortable. Will go back to try a meal one evening.

Quite possibly the worst pulled pork sandwich I ever had. Tiny, soggy and heated to nearly melting point.

Great meeting place. Wheelchair accessible. Roomy patio. Had the smoked meat sandwich. Very good but woulda been nice to at least get a pickle or some coleslaw on the plate with the sandwich. It looked lonely.

Great place to meet with a friend for coffee and a scone. Their baking is fresh and the atmosphere is great.

Hi. Thanks for replying. It wasn't until recent I bought a cookie. I didn't want a peanut butter one but I thought I was pointed to a peanut butter one. I had an allergic reaction. But still. It is better than other places where they don't separately wrap them from non peanut butter cookies. So I would say it is 3.5 stars out of 5 and not that harshly. But there should be clear signage of the peanut thing. Thanks

Still a nice place even though the prices have risen considerably in the last year, staff is still nice and the recent updates have made the place a lot 'warmer' that is was.
But.the baking (from l'aromas) has got steadily worse and today was almost nasty - the bun felt and tasted like it was 3 days old.

It is evident, just by looking, that the baker just does not know how to bake, the scones have all the fruit on the bottom, the muffins look like they have exploded some days etc etc.

Must improve.

I usually get a sandwich here when i work in tsawwassen, very friendly staff and great dog friendly patio!

Best salad ever. You have all your needs in one big bowl featuring juicy chicken breast and avocado dressing. Perfect whenever!

First time there. Had the worst iced mocha coffee ever! There wasnt even any ice! Waited a long time to get serviced, plenty of staff. Maybe the food is good, i dont know. I might go back.

This was our first time to Petra's. We ordered a soup, sandwich and a salad.
It was all amazing!
Oh and the dog friendly patio was a huge hit for us.

Wish I’d tasted my americano before leaving because it was awful. Had to ask for lids behind the counter because there were none out in the cafe. Disappointing.

Severely understaffed. It's a sunny Sunday afternoon and people are lined out the door and they're out of stock of most food. Staff are friendly and it's not their fault. Management needs to figure it out.

Let me say 1 star is too good. We went here because last time the food was great. We ordered and paid very quickly. We waited half an hour for one sandwich that had half of the filling that we ordered in the past. One thin layer of meat and same thin layers of veggies. No spinach available instead of lettuce. I had to go up to get my sandwich even though we were given a number for our table. We still did not get our drinks. Again I had to go up and ask where they were. They had two cold coffees sitting on the back counter and they said oh there you are. We couldn't find you. We were inside with our number on the table by the window. By now my sandwich was finished and still no drinks. They wanted to give me the cold drinks, I said no, I want hot drinks and now since it has been almost an hour I need them to go. Again I went back to sit down and wait. Another ten minutes later my husband went up to check on our drinks. Only one was ready. Another 5 minutes and we got our second drink.

This kind of service is completely unacceptable. I must also say they had three people on the till and order and coffee area and three or 4 others on sandwich area. No one was cleaning tables or delivering food. It seemed like there was no manager on site. Also, most importantly the restaurant was less than half full. I do not believe I will go back again unless they fix their serving time problems and either reduce the prices or increase the product to reflect a better price for substandard product.

This was on March 9 2019 from 12: 30 to 1: 45pm (not Spring break).

We had a decent iced latte at this local cafe. They have a nice outside sitting area. The place can get busy during tourist season. Service was good and we were able to grab a table.

I love this local cafe. It is very cozy and urban. I love the cinnamon buns and the Italian sodas. Oh so good.

Great coffee, early opening hours and they had a vegan option in their baked treats (just ask because it wasn't posted).
