The price for my cats food is pretty reasonable for the quality and the staff is always very helpful!

This is for Semi truck driver. If you are coming from Main street towards west then take left from LYNN ave then take first right parking way toward dock. It’s easy way to back in to dock. Or call them they can help you for direction

As per all other places, the price increases have not only kept up with inflation but have well surpassed it. At its peak, inflation was at 7.8% in Canada (slightly higher in the US). The product I buy is up 53%. That’s what you call gouging

This is an ok place if you want to shop around and know what you are looking for as you may get a deal on pet food and products. But heads up, they sell gerbils, small animals and aquatic animals (fish) who may not be happy as they don't always live in ideal circumstances.

We do our Yorkie grooming at PetSmart. We tried several groomers and we have settled on PetSmart for good service and value.

They put an AUTOMATIC Donation of $10 on amount due when you validate credit card on pin pad. They do not take Tap above $50, so forced to use pin pad.
I did not see nor extra $10 charge on pin pad and only put in my pin number, which automatically then charges you $10.no where did it ask "would you like to donate", Yes or No?
TERRIBLE. I dont mind donating if I know the cause, receipt just says Charitable Donation.

Great selection and friendly staff. I am happiest when o don’t see pets up for adoption there … but If it is a good spot where they can be shown and adopted to good homes… that can’t be bad.

The groomers are wonderful. My dogs were taken care of and treated very well during the treatment. I do wish the process of bringing my pets into the salon and picking them up was much easier, and faster as the wait time creates a bit of anxiety for my dogs.

Worst experience ever. Cashier had zero patience for any questions, thinks you are a dumb and knows nothing.

Supplies to deal with the most disgusting pet urine issues (all over everwhere). Enzyme cleaner SCRUB A DUB DUB, suds in the tub. 100% worked. NASTY.

The grooming salon excelled today with my pug Mac. He now has a lovely soft coat, very little shedding, and is a very happy boy with his trimmed nails. Thankyou groomers, plus you always give us a great welcome

Good collection of stuffs but they seemed understaffed. Couldn't fine anyone for help except 2 people at the checkout.

Got a Oscar from them it had ich and died in one day. I won't be buying fish here any more.

The groomers are a hit and miss. This was my last experience where the groomer shaved the dog, scraped the skin on his chest and scared him.

Derek was rude! I went to a staff to inquire about some guinea pigs who was nice but referred me to Derek saying he has more knowledge about guinea pigs. Derek sounded rather condescending despite having limited knowledge about guinea pigs.

This review is for their North Vancouver location. Their customer service is the worst.

Friendly Staff I was welcomed multiple times. There is a wide variety of pet food and toys. Store is kept clean.

I have never had an issue with Petsmart customer service before, in fact it’s always been wonderful, but today I had a horrible experience talking to Kyle (a manager) over the phone regarding my dog’s missed grooming appointment. This was my first time scheduling an appointment at the Main Street North Vancouver location. I usually schedule in the Burnaby locations and I normally get an email reminder a few days before the appointment even if I call in and I had made this call over 2 weeks ago. I never once got an email and was told by Kyle that calling me calling in to book an appointment is my confirmation. Kyle - I understand your groomers are commission based but the way I was spoken to was completely unprofessional especially coming from a manager. I had to tell you that I felt like you were attacking me just from the tone of your voice. I apologized to you, I am human after all and I made an error but for you to continue going on and on about the issue was unwarranted and completely unnecessary. Maybe you had a bad day but please do not take it out on your clients. I have never been to this location - this review is solely based on this one interaction. I’m sure the groomers here are lovely but I will never know now because I don’t feel comfortable ever taking my dog here after this experience.

Bad grooming haircut providers. We reported our dogs bad haircut through management and they acted like it was fine. We emailed corporate stating we had a bad experience with the grooming department and we still have not recieved a response back. The dog groomer we got did not do a professional cut at all.
DO NOT GO TO NORTH VANCOUVER LOCATION.

These folks are so super compassionate and do a lot for adoption of animals and contributions to the agencies that rescue them!

I went to petsmart Main Street North Vancouver today with my kids to buy one single Betta fish from them. A guy approached me (apparently one of the supervisors) and I asked him a simple question about where they keep Betta fish and he started questioning me about if I have a big tank at home ready for the fish and I said yes, but still he is trying to sell the expensive one that was on the shelf and I refused to buy it. Finally we went to buy the little fish but the cashier refused to sell it to us and said my manager doesn't want to sell this to you. Unbelievable shocking experience today that I have never experienced this kind of behaviour before. I expect the store manager Kyle to approach this guy and train him how to be polite and helpful with customers and tell him he has no right to treat a family like that.

This place is fine but they need to address their outdated/broken technology. The debit machines work after the 4th attempt, if you are lucky.

They take good care of my girl for a nail trim! She is absolutely terrified but they get her through it!

Amazing, caring, and experienced groomers at an affordable price. Will certainly come back here routinely.

Very pleased with my shopping experience for my 2 chihuahuas pedro and sagey and my 2 guinea pigs Fred and Ted! I am able to go straight to the area that I need and out the door quickly

Pretty good shop. They don’t carry Iams lamb and rice anymore which we alway get for our dog but their employees are super knowledgeable in the fish section.

Lots of choices, friendly staff, nice and spacious for moving around in, especially during these Covid times.

I've been popping into this north van location for a few weeks now expanding my new aquarium hobby and I have found the staff here to be very knowledgeable in their area extremely kind and helpful and unlike some pet stores I have been to in the past they actually care about their animals when I first got started they wouldn't allow me to buy a new fish until they had done their very best to ensure I had everything in order to keep happy fishies including a set up check as well as a water sample test they direct me to the proper foods and have taught me how to care for my.individual fish Breeds
I now have 15 fish 2 frogs 2 eels all living happily in their community tanks with their own feeding schedules and specific foods and feeding schedules
I can honestly say I wouldn't have figured out half of what I now know without them and would have killed more than a few of my gill babies in trying to figure it all out on my own they have helped me create my own little ecosystems all working in partnerships to maintain their tanks
10/10 would recommend

Great place to shop for your pet needs. Grooming is excellent. We also were able to adopt a new kitten.

Standard big chain store. Sometimes difficult to pin down employees to help with queries. It has what you need pet wise.

I have been using the services provided by PetSmart for almost 5 years. I have visited the North Vancouver location from time to time and have frequently been disappointed. We have however had good experiences with multiple locations grooming salons and generally the floor staff are knowledgeable and helpful. In regards to my last visit to the North Vancouver location I was attempting to buy specialty food for one of my animals and the floor worker did not have the knowledge needed to answer my questions. I was then assisted by the stores manager (Kyle) who I would expect would have a intricate knowledge of all products supplied by this franchise. Rather than assist me with my query he became more confrontational and implied that I did not know how to properly care for my animal. Being the confident and mildly successful human being that I am and having the history of raising many different types of pets and furry Little Friends I felt no need to sit and be berated this trumped up Napoleon complex having individual. Normally I would not leave such a scathing review but this requires a bit of special attention. The amount of arrogance and misguided views portrayed by the store manager not only disgusted me but surprised me and made me feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable. If in fact there was any sort of recommendation or advice to be offered by a professional such as him I would hope to be treated with some form of respect and politely pulled to the side and given an alternative recommendation. I was in a form reprimanded by him in front of other customers and the general public. Ultimately my wife and I left I may have used a few choice words considering by the time we exited my wife was in tears.

I would highly recommend driving the extra distance to visit either the West Vancouver location or the Grandview location. Both of which I have never had a negative shopping experience with.

Store lacks ability to have items shipped for local pickup. Cannot reserve item ie won't "hold" items? Overall - not customer friendly, but staff was helpful.

Never in my life have I written a review, because I understand how hard it is to work in retail. But it's pretty disappointing after a long day at school I wanted to very quickly run in and grab items I needed for my fish tank. I understand coming 15mins before the store closes is a little annoying, however I knew what I wanted and was planning on grabbing it, paying and leaving. My partner and I parked, and walked up to the doors where the manager or supervisor on duty was clearly ushering people out. She very obviously didn't make eye contact with us and slid the doors closed and locked them. We arrived there at 8: 43pm, their store closes at 9pm, I understand if I showed up at 8: 55pm or took a long time to decide, but I'm sorry if you are supposed to be open till 9pm then stay open till 9pm and don't purposefully ignore me as I'm about the approach the door. Bad attitude from their staff. Say you close at 8: 30pm then so I don't leave disappointed when I rushed from school to get there.

The majority of the store is just fine, but the fish area is a disaster!

There is a massive breakout of Cyanobacteria (blue green Algae) and Blackbeard algae that is infecting every visible tank. Fish will die in this environment!

I would be happy to volunteer to help clean these tanks and save the fish!

It's such a shame because the staff here are pretty great.

Rebecca is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and got my dogs on food that doesn't make them itchy or disinterested. They love mealtime now. I'm a customer for life, thanks Rebecca.

Since I moved to Canada, I decided to go to this new pet store, and they didn’t even offer alligator grooming services/teeth brushing, which my alligator was extremely upset about. On top of that, I overheard the staff talking about how I look like a “Walmart version of dumbledore”, which I did not appreciate. They also did not have any goats for sale.

They don't honor Canadian consumer protection laws or general common sense. I went to buy blue Buffalo dog food there and had several problems.

1st problem blue Buffalo had a promo on there large bag 20% more food free. So a slightly bigger bag, except they were charging more for it. Not so free then after all.

2nd problem they were both marked with the same sale price, except the till brought the price up to more expensive price. Which is more then the original price of the non promo bag.

3rd problem is they tried convince me that someone must have moved the tag. It took me a lot convincing to get them to understand that regardless if someone moved the tag, Blue Buffalo was having the 20% more promotion that doesn't give you the right to charge more for that bag. Also because the tag is there and is describing that item. It should be matched and a additional $10 dollars should be taken off. They ended matching the price but they said they don't follow the Canadian consumer protection laws.

Always really friendly and helpful staff. Takeout orders through door dash for pet food and catlitter during the pandemic are booming. Long lineups though which is the new world we live in now

After 5 tries we got chosen to adopt a cat we where asking a lot of questions cause we didn’t know how it’s like so they said the manager will talk to you tomorrow even though we where going to take her home tonight and they where SOO rude.

All-in-one place. But unfortunately (and it seems because of the pandemic) they did not have parakeet!

My daughter was sooo excited to get a cat finally they thought we where acting nervous so they said they can’t give us the cat! And the manager will call us later even though we were spoused to take the cat home today.my daughter was in tears and they didn’t care at all. The staff was so unfriendly. I don’t recommend this place for adoption at all!

Love the staff and location! I do often find the shelves a little empty, but maybe I always manage to show up right before they restock.

Organized and has lots of options. Never used the groomers here but their in store employees are very kind and energetic. They are very helpful.

We always buy everything for our Pet needs and we are truly happy of the services done by the staff.
We suggest that probably they needed more staff to accommodate the needs of the customers.

So my friend came to get her cat after like 10 attempts and I wanted to come with her and see it happen but then one of the workers came to her family and said that they couldn’t get the cat because they looked nervous and then they started being really rude my friend was crying and her family was asking to talk to the manager and then he said he was the manager on duty and told us to get the cat tomorrow and think about it even though she and her family said they were ready and have been planning/thinking about this for a REALLY long time and then she left the store BURSTING into tears so overall this was THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER PERIOD.

I go here for reptile needs. Take the information with a grain of salt and do your own research. Selection of feeders is okay, prices are good, staff are friendly.

My go to pet store now that Pet Boutique has shut down. Store is very clean and has a wide variety of supplies for almost any animal. I go there for bedding for my snake primarily but also have purchased fish, hamsters, and birds from them in the past. Overall, it's a great store with a fantastic and friendly staff.

Love me some guinea pig visits whenever I get my own guinea pig food. Great service. Parking lot is maintained. Easy entrance and exit. Go here now for cool pet times.

This location is very clean and well organised. All the staff wear face coverings. Wide selection of pet supplies and food and there is a dog grooming department in the store. No cat adoptions at the moment, hope they return as that is always a highlight of our visit and where we got our cat.

We are a happy Pet Smart family for years. We go in to pet smart regularly to get one thing and always wind up with ten things and are happy every time. Although the kids are now young adults, they still come with us to Pet Smart to relive and renew happy family memories.

Wanted to look at the fish. The lady would not allow it claiming they had no fish, but I could see fish in the tanks.: (sad experience

I don't like big box pet stores, I don't agree with them selling small animals. But it's the only pet store open on the North Shore that is close poor cat food fish food in a pinch and the people who work there are nice

My son shop in this store. Yesterday, I went to get some fish for my
son. Mr Derrick misbehaved with me when i asked him to give me this
fish. He got frustrated on me and was loud. I truly felt bad.

I spoke to ASM in the office. She called a Manager Fatima.

Fatima explained me about the fish i wanted. Her voice tone was very
sweet and she was humble. She listened to me first. She politley
recommended me to come on Tuesday, as they get fish delivery that day.
That is all I wanted to know.

Thank you Fatima. I will still shop in this store as there are still
some good people here.
