Staff rushes you on the phone and straight up says I have other customers I have to go. This was today June. 18 10: 30am

They keep cats in small 2x2 glass boxes put on display. Absolutely cruel to treat an animal as such.

Staff are nice but difficult to find due to the store being short-staffed. Shelves have been mostly very bare during the pandemic with occasionally periods of being well stocked. It's a sign that this very dense neighborhood is becoming more dense and have a larger pet population than ever. It's hit or miss this place but it's not for a lack of trying.

Went in today for little fish, shrimp and some water plants. Peggy the store manager is very friendly and knowledgeable. She elaborated the tool we need and the some instructions. Very nice experience shopping there.

Totally amazing. Got my hamster Timby today, I’m leaving him be in his enclosure until he is comfortable enough to let me tame him. Jake was amazing, super gentle and very nice. Made sure I knew what I was doing and was prepared before taking him home. Totally recommend.

Staff was really friendly, my only problem with that store is that the lighting in there is so dim and very uncomfortable

I found what I came for. Its always a blast going there most of the time I try to bring my dog OTIS.

A good place to find and buy stuffs for your pet, some are overprice, some are good. They have friendly staffs, a lot of choices of meals and toys, but not too many of pet carriers.

Their staff are friendly and and they have an excellent selection of products for all of your pet needs

Nice clean store lots of things for puppies and kittens. We bought a really nice new bed for our puppy dog and he loves it. The staff are friendly

Very cute and well kept. Love the location and the staff are always attentive. One of my favorite Petsmarts around, as it is smaller than most in the central-ish areas.

Really nice and easy-going staff. Store did feel a little gloomy hence the 4 stars, other than that it’s a great small store!

Always as a good stock variety and availability. Click and collect really quick and easy. Staff are always happy and helpful. My dog loves the free snacks at the register.

Really upset to announce that my Halfmoon Betta fish that I purchased in February 2021 (this year) died yesterday. I have owned Betta fish all my life and know how to take care of them properly. I learned my lesson which is that you should not buy fish from here.

Besides my very unfortunate fish situation, I love Pet Smart, hence why I’ve given 3/5 stars.

The employees are super friendly, and depending on who is working, they are usually helpful.

I also 10000000% recommend the beginner puppy classes (<6 months old), mostly because the puppy graduation was one of the most happiest moments in my life ️

This store is good for shopping and can you found anything for your pets and can you look any pets for shop and so nice this store!

1 star for leash selection. I couldn't find anything longer than a 6 ft lead. Like, it's pet smart. It's giant. It's corporate. It's like Walmart for pets. I never expected I wouldn't be able to find something so basic here.

Chunky doggos strutting their stuff up and down the isles. Staff are not the easiest to deal with, it is a pet store after all.

Staff very knowledgeable about the products sold in their store and so far have helped me with every one of my cat and fish questions!

I'm a new fish owner! In a series of interesting circumstances- I acquired some big fish and so my tank was having some issues (one fish mysteriously died). The lady cashier was super helpful, and helped me diagnose the situation just by listening to my explanation. She even double checked the fish medicine I was getting, and gave me some guidance. I really appreciate the genuine and caring service that I received! Thank you so much!

PetSmart lost my account and all the points I had saved. Nobody there seemed to care and just shrugged it off, blaming it on a computer glitch. They do a decent job of pet grooming but they always screw up the booking somehow and not everything gets done that was scheduled. Lack of organization makes them a non contender. It seems easy and no fuss, but never seems to work as planned. There are better options out there.

The store is huge and has a lot of stuff to select. But we had to wait for someone to help us about 15 minutes. There was only one guy to help customers who was helpful at the end.

Have been taking our dog to get groomed here for many years. She always looks great and enjoys her time with the groomer.

Love PetSmart, but I was stuck in line for too long with a heavy bag of cat litter. More cashiers needed when there is a lineup.

It was my first time online order pickup and it was ready to pick up within one hour A Small gift with a note is a nice touch especially mentioning a dog when buying cat food, which makes me smile

The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their inventory is always good, I can always find what I’m looking for and their cue side pick-up is great! They also validate your parking!

Unfortunately I had 5 great visits, but in my last visit it ended to be so unpleasant from start to finish and now my dog is traumatized by how the two staff treated him!

Despite using the online booking system, We started with having to be delayed over 30 minutes because the staff member Cass couldn’t locate the information and vaccinations on file. She spoke to us in a rude, matter of fact tone and interjected constantly without having the patience to listen. When I asked to speak to a manager, she smugly pointed out she was the manager

From the way they handled costumers and dogs, it was obvious they were hurried, inexperienced or unprofessional. If there was any training, it definitely did not show. Especially with a « grooming services manager »

Honestly I feel better taking my pets out to a local groomer rather then a corporate chain employing untrainable teens and the like

We had a Doordash delivery or dog food that went awry and PetSmart handled it with aplomb. Even though it wasn't their fault, PetSmart went above and beyond to make the situation right.

Editing my review as I always come to this location for my dog’s grooming and to pick up supplies. The staff here are amazing! Every time we walk by, my dog stands outside looking in with her tail wagging. We also did the intro puppy training course here and it was so cute when they gave out graduation hats on the last day.

The staff here is great, but this store has a few issues:
1. The store lighting is really dim. This makes it hard to read labels, and overall makes the store look ugly.
2. The building is old and small. Other PetSmart locations are much more roomy.
3. There's barely any parking within about a block of the store.

Came in a couple weeks ago to get my dog some oral hygiene products and couldn't be more happy. I went to 2 other pet stores before coming here and couldn't find the specific treat my dog actually appeals to. I came here and after searching the entire store I was just about to walk out until I decided to check with the clerk and she walked me over to the exact treats my dog likes and told me they were very new so they had the display up front. Anyways, I couldn't be happier! I bought a small bag of Arcs naturals and now my dogs horrible breath is slowly getting better. She WILL NOT eat any other dental treat, these are the best, I definitely recommend. Thank you.

Smaller than most PetSmart stores but still a descent selection for a downtown location.
Pleasant and knowledgeable staff.

I try to buy my dog supply here. Their prices are abit high, but the offer training classes which is really helpful and also they have 100% lively and supportive staffs. I try different branches and everywhere i went they were so helpful and friendly.

Nice staff, but I keep finding dead and sick fish in their aquariums. I've made my other fish sick from buying fish here. The fish I bred in my tank outlived (still living) all the ones I bought from here by many months so far.

The site functions alright but petsmart only has 1-2 cat groomers in the whole lower mainland, and only 1 in the next jurisdiction over. If there is another one then it is 4 cities away and only accessible by car. Then they refuse to tell me in person when they will have more hills science diet for kittens. I asked for other stores in area and this guy claimed he didn't know of any. I would highly suggest people use Bosleys instead for you animal needs

A bit dissatisfied with the store, it is a bit dark inside and some shelves are missing a lot of content.

I love this PetSmart! The staff are always so friendly and talkative - always willing to offer help and chat about our respective pets (or pet prospects). I love that they change their selection up so often and their return policy is really great as well. Thanks!

I have to admit that I am sort of new to fish owning, so I had hoped to purchase the necessary supplies to begin owning a fish. When I got there the employee was admittedly fairly knowledgeable, however, this employee felt very strongly about her beliefs. She pretty much bullied me into buying larger, more expensive tanks for one beta, constantly shaming me. When I finally went to checkout with an armful of addons she left off with a snappy remark of, you better do more research. I couldn't bring myself to purchase the fish or anything. PetSmart, you lost a customer because of this treatment.

They have the cutest little pet toys! The frog makes frog noises and the two little mice are the most adorable toys i have ever seen.

My ferrets instantly approved them by stealing them from coffee table, before i had a chance to remove the packaging.

I enjoyed their friendliness in assisting me with stuff I was looking for. The price was also fair.

Everyone is super friendly! We go here weekly with our puppy and he just loves it. We also completed their puppy training class with Victoria (she’s awesome) and found it very helpful!

So a couple months back, my two roommates and i decided to buy a fish for our new place we just recently moved into. We had everything we needed from the tank to the warmers and lots of experience on my end. NEVER have i ever experienced such disrespect in a store before. We were doubted and denied a fish because an employee misheard something we said. She was disrespectful, ease dropping, snotty and simply not put out for this job. I didn’t get her name, but try and buy a fish and maybe you will run into her. Worst experience in retail or in a store in general. 0/10

I went for cat food and they only have one ish isles in total dedicated to cat food.

The rest is mostly for dogs, and some for smaller animals. So, dog owners, this might be your store to shop in!

I saw there are a number of fish tanks with some reptile tanks, not a whole lot, but maybe worth checking out if you are wanting these types of critters. I'm not an expert on these so can't tell you much more.

It seemed the staff were busy, so I wasn't able to have a conversation with them regarding asking them if there was any more cat food to peruse in the store, or my surprise of the lack of cat food choices there.

At the cashiers, the gal at the till was fabulous! She was on cue, a great personality, very helpful and attentive, with a great sense of humor, so we got on very well.
She has dark hair and darker skin, if I remember correctly (I can't promise you of this!).
She was definitely the highlight!

I was only disappointed by the lack of cat food versus dog food. Pet stores normally carry more than they did.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore dogs, and have raised them myself, 5 of them from birth, saved from the winter freeze, as well as brought their mother home, and I miss them dearly. Then a couple dogs when I was a kid. Too many tragedies with animals to speak of. ()

I just happen to have a cat still, whom I absolutely adore. We adore each other. ‍️

One good thing to point out is that for the low amount of canned cat food they carry, some of the choices that were there were different from what I have seen elsewhere. So, I bought a few new choices for my cat. It's great for her to have choices, something different, to experience new foods, and for me as well so I also have more choices of new things she likes to buy for her.

So the trip there in passing wasn't all bad, as there were positives as well.

It's well worth a look, especially if you have dogs, want to check out a few different canned cat foods, or for some neat little items for the pets. Of course, I can't forget the fishies or the hiding reptiles? !

Small selections of dog harnesses and washroom were not operational but staff were super friendly and helpful.

Small selection and by far the slowest lines I've ever experienced. Already received two parking tickets watching clerks fumble at the cash register.

Bought a reptile tank from here. Upon bringing it home we found a large crack in the side. With how the tank was packaged it would have been impossible for staff (or us) to see it in advance.

Gave them a call and they said they had no replacement, but could call us when one came in. Sure enough, 4 days later we received a call. Went in to pick it up and Matt was extremely accomodating, he carried the cage right over to us and made the transaction happen seamlessly.

They handled an unavoidable, unfortunate situation with professionalism and compassion, well done!

Today I had one of the customer service reps tell me that Orchard Hay was essentially the same as Timothy Hay and there's no difference, but my bunny doesn't like it at all Apparently she can tell the difference.

I just wish they had more consistent stock but I think that is covid-19s fault. You can can order online and pickup which is a great service.

Took my pupper for his first-ever grooming session. He’s usually anxious with new people and new situations — but I think I was the more anxious one! Michelle was his groomer for the day, and she was so sweet putting my dog (and me) at ease. He had the full package — a haircut, his nails clipped, a bath.all of the above + some extras. When I picked him up, Michelle gave me some tips & tricks on what I can do to make his next appointment easier (i.e. She said he didn’t like his chin being touched, so I should train him to make him comfortable with that). That was super helpful! And despite the fact that we’re still in Phase 2 of Covid-19, and they’re not allowed to have 2+ stylists on a dog (for their physical distancing safety), Michelle still did a really good job with my dog’s nails solo.
I would definitely recommend this location and Michelle as a stylist to anyone.

Pretty central location, big store with lots to choose from. Friendly staff & fare prices! Have underground free parking.
