Was a smaller foot print store, But had most of the normal suspects needed for a pet store

Don’t go to this Petsmart! The cashier was mean as they screamed at us at 8: 40pm, 20 minutes before they closed. If they don’t want to work, just leave but not mad at customers.

Great selection. Easy to find what looking for. Associate Hannah was friendly helpful and most of all knowledgeable

One stop shopping, very exciting to visit when you're in love with your pets. Very spacious, clean and well arranged, a lot of foods, treats, toys, clothes, accessories, and other stuffs for your pets. As far as I noticed, they cover dogs off course, cats, fish, birds, reptiles, and other small pets (like rabbits, hamster, guinea pigs, even rats and mice). Although I never used their service, but hard to miss that they also have grooming and training facilities. For the clothes, I found not too many choices, but for food and treats they have quite a lot options to choose. Installing their phone apps is worth it, where we can find promotion info, check stock availability, online shop, book appointment for services, etc.

For Petsmart, keep up the good job!

I like this PetSmart. I had my dog take lessons here. Staff are friendly and helpful. I’ve always been able to find what I need for my dog here and it is relatively close to home. Thank you PetSmart!

The kitten's favourite place! They really do have "anything for pets"! Staff is friendly, the place is organized and prices seem reasonable.

They have my stolen cat in their adoption display when speaking to the manager she wouldn't even look at my pictures just told me to call someone else

This is one of the longest serving pet stores in the region. It's located in a small strip mall along with a dollar store and the golf town. Across the street is Michael's craft store and Tim horton's. There's also a sun given foods grocery store in the same parking lot. That's actually the most challenging part of attending this store is the parking which can be quite busy. Otherwise the store is great because it's so large and serves all types of pets from dogs and cats to small mammals, fish and reptiles as well. Of course they have food for all these types of animals which is great because we have a snake and are always looking for a local supplier. The store is always clean and not too busy period they have grooming services as well as dog training services. There is a had adoption centre at the front of the store. There seems to be enough staff that work here to provide a good customer experience overall. Value for money is what you would expect at a pet store and overall the experience is excellent. Definitely will come again.

Good selection for a variety of pets. Staff are helpful. Love the online shopping and pick up in store option. Allows you to see if the item (s) you need are in stock.

The line ups can get long for check out, but the associates are always so patient and friendly.

Mimi was scheduled to do bath and trim for my cat. I booked 3 months in advance to get charged $12 and get done nothing because my cat won’t love the water!

The staff is friendly and informative with immense patience! They just need more staff in the fish section it appears to be the busiest part of the store.

Super friendly staff. Ordered online took less that 5 minutes to pick up and leave store. Great parking and easy to get to from Vancouver. And if you are looking for an adorable kitty they are here!

The facility is world class. It's the old 2010 Winter venue, so it is a must visit and experience. The staff are great too. The climbing wall is an awesome sport to try out too

One of my favourite store. Maybe you can’t find everything you wanted. But it’s not hurt if you just look through every items. Bring in more birds please.

This place is understaffed and has little to no stock in the cat food my cat likes to eat.

When I have asked if they have more stock I am told it hasn't been opened yet, they are on pallets in the back, come back in a couple of days, I go back only to be told that they are sold out.

I tried other Pet Smarts, Richmond, West Vancouver, Vancouver and all don't have stock in cat food. It's seems to be supply chain issue.

They have adoptable cats? , and a good selection in other Pet stuff and fish

You might want to try calling if you are shopping for pet food and save yourself the trips

The staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. Although I have no experience for gold fishes. They have help me pick up all the items to setup my first fish tank

Th8s 8d for the grooming service. After trying several different groomers, Masae here, is the best! Clearly loves dogs and her job.

I bought 2 Guinea pigs, and the staff gave me a lot of suggestions and was really willing to help

Quick question for you, I love the staff, they're the only reason I go here. My question is, the regular price for butterfly koi is $14.99 and regular price for koi is $16.99. It's always been like this. You started a sale a few weeks ago and it's good until the end of January (as advertised on the sale sign). Butterfly koi on sale for $12.99 and koi for $14.99. I bought a few. Today I went in and saw the sign saying that butterfly koi and regular koi are $17.99 on sale for $15.99 until the end of January. Did you rise the price to trick your customers they're getting a deal? Butterfly koi on sale for $15.99 is more than the regular price yesterday.

Prices are on the higher end, sales are limited and this location seemed to have low or no stock on sale stuff. Sale are good when they have them on higher end stuff.
Wish there was more way to interact with the kitties, they looked like they really wanted love, but this is a general thing with all PetSmarts. Maybe have a dedicated staff to the adoptable pets?

Wow great stock of all my items for my new kitty. We live down the road from this place and will shop there again. Staff was very friendly

Grooming service is terrible. Staff was unwilling to offer help when she could. Wait time is always long and I could only book for next month.

I've had a bad experience here because of pet's dying less than two weeks after adopting them.

From hamsters to birds they seem to drop dead. My friend bought a cockatiel here and it died at 6 years old. Cockatiel's are known for living 10 to 25 years and I am shocked at the extreme poor health of these animals

My hamsters died within less than two weeks from wet tail, and one I had to put down despite treating it at the vet. I was devastated because I thought I had done something wrong. But after long patterns of finches, budgies and hamsters dying as babies I'm sad to say that I no longer trust Pet Smart when it comes to adopting.

The place looks very neat and orderly.the staffs are very helpfull and you can feep that they always have a warm smile underneath that mask

Bought a bag of dry cat food and later found a hole in it. This store should make a better effort of checking for holes in the bag

We have always bought stuff from petsmart and have always enjoyed our experiences there. So this rating is only for our last experience at the Richmond location.

We bought a box of worms (staff said its "the last box") it had no date on it. When we opened up the box, I felt like the worms didn't look very happy; they clumped together in a big pile. But I thought maybe they are just cold.

Within a week, all the worm have either grown very sick, like, hanging on for dear life, or have died/disintergrated into mush. Worms in a box usually last 3,4 weeks in the fridge. We got a really bad box this time, and the stench of the dead worms make you want to vomit.

We are just glad we have isopods we can feed the dead worms to. They got a feast out of those worms, but that expensive food for scavengers.

We hope with this complaint, we can get the attention of a petsmart manager and perhaps give us a discount for a new box of fresh worms?

Double check the price when you check out! The toy on the price tag is 7.99$ ; but when we check out it shows 14.99$; good thing when found it out!

Almost all fish are sick. I bought it many times and all the time a bad result, it gets sick and then dies. Little variety for experienced aquarists, everything is for beginners only.

Friendly staff and usually cats (for adoption) to greet you at the door. Staff also understands and helps with your flurry friends that might be need to be cleaned after during your visit.

Stuff was always helpful and polite. Good selection of product however I had to switch to a different store because Pet Smart doesn’t sell Veruwa.

In store pickup was disappointing as they could not find the item I was looking for even though it showed in stock. Waited days before they told us it wasn't available. Prices seem a bit inflated even though it is a big chain. Check with smaller/local pet stores before purchasing. In store laser etched dog tags are great though.

I had been to this location once before and quickly left - if it wasnt for the fact that I actually needed to make a purchase it would have been the same situation. Upon entering, theres an overwhelming amount of people due to them only having one cashier. There was at least 12-15 people in line along with at least half a dozen dogs also waiting patiently.
Walking thru the aisle you cant help but break the 6ft of distance plus having to navigate through the dogs too. I find the section I am looking for and come upon a disaster area. Doggy beds in all colors & all styles just thrown on top of one another which makes finding the correct price point for the bed I was interested in quite difficult.
I walked through each and every aisle and not one single employee to be found.
Again if it wasnt for the fact that I needed to make this purchase I would have walked out.
The line up to pay was getting even longer now and in my frustration of not being able to find someone who could help me, I decided to to get in line to purchase the item I did find and go elsewhere to find the other.
Unless you know exaclty what you are looking for this location will have you leaving Frustated

Joseph the dog trainer at this store is very knowledgable. The classes are very informative. I look forward to the next one.

Went there for buying treats and collar for my new puppy. Pet trainer is very friendly and give us a lot of great info regarding on grooming and training!

It's great if you have a lot of Pet's.lol, I have 2 dogs a cat, birds fish and a turtle and a Partridge in a pear tree

I am here often, parking is conveniently out front and free. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I’ve been pricing matching at PetSmart for years and today I was told they would not price match to Walmart, only small pet stores that can’t hope to compete with their prices. Last time I shop here.

Went here to get a bird and some bird supplies. The man here was very friendly and helpful, would go again

At the store, I spent abt $110. I got one hamster & the staff just handed me a paper and that was it. I had to figure out everything else by myself such as cage, food, footbed, water bottle, etc. Usually it's not the case with other shops; they help you find things, considering that it takes only 2 seconds to explain. Maybe the staff could've done better. BUT another younger staff seemed very friendly & helpful at the cashier.

Visited in the morning March 21 and saw a cat that our family was interested in. Returned without the kids that afternoon and asked to speak to someone about adoption. We were told no, as no one was allowed in the viewing room. We were offered an application form. I asked when the application would be looked at. I was told, "Thursday at the earliest. " We took the form with us and returned to submit it on Tuesday only to learn that the cat had been adopted out already. I realize that there may have been earlier applicants, but I don't like being lied to.

Just be careful when u order online and pick up in store. U need to examine the package. I picked up my order in Richmond Bridgeport store. I went home and found out it was broken and resealed with packing tapes. Emailed the store and no reply.

On Friday, April 3rd, at approximately 2 PM I was visiting the Richmond store. I walked into the store and headed straight to the back. While I was in the fish tank/birds section, I was asked if I needed help. I said no. I was just thinking about executing the purchase or not.

At this time, say 30 seconds passed, another gentleman walked into the fish tank/birds area and the lady worker asked him if he needed help (she started helping him with his questions). About 15 seconds later at which point an Asian male worker in his 20’s comes out of nowhere and tells me that I need to be out of the red area surrounding the fish tank/bird area and I need to wait my turn as it's one person at a time.

I was furious as I was actually first. Just because I didn't need help at the time doesn’t mean I'm not first. Why can't the person that the lady was helping leave? He's actually behind me; he should wait his turn. I just left the store. Worst customer service I've had in a long time. There is a thing called social distancing that is happening and there was MORE than enough room for 2 people. If having two people in this area is too much, which it isn’t. Then limit the customers in the store or section off the area like every other store. This is unacceptable.

It's a pet store. The people are nice, the pets are nicer. Sign up for pet perks, it's free and you accumulate points and get monies back. They have cats up for adoption here as well. The staff seems quite knowledgable when I ask questions.

Used to be a royal customer of PetSmart till the cashiers often gave me "looks" if I didn't donate. Last cashier I met was 622038.

Hypocritical

I came to buy two guppy fishes for my new 2.5 gallon tank.
Their employee refused to sell, because according to their standard, guppy need at least 5 gallon tank.
Right behind the employee, at least 20 guppy were kept in their 3 gallon tank.
So I should not keep two guppy in 2.5 gallon tank, while you keep 20 fishes in a 3 gallon tank.
After argument, the employee pack me two guppy fishes.
OK, I learned I need bring lawyer with me to buy guppy fish from this branch.

Talking about fish welfare, Pet Smart should STOP keeping betta fish in those tiny cups and change water for them regularly.

Great location. Not busy enough that it would scare my dog but quiet enough to feel like a neighborhood pet shop. Friendly staff, feels like toy's R us!

Having a pup and kitty I'm at this store frequently. Ive also used the grooming salon here. Id say the staff in the store are very well educated about animals. I wasn't sure of the correct puppy food and spoke with a staff member and she gave me alot of good info and advice. The salon did an awesome trim and gave me a record of what services were performed on coco. From that Its easy to keep track of what you are paying for and what needs to be done next time. All in all a great store for everything!
