Another shop to avoid in this town. I’m quite mechanically inclined and can normally figure out what’s wrong with my truck and fix almost everything by myself. About 1.5-2 years ago I couldn’t figure out an issue so I brought it to these guys for a diagnostic. Every day for 3 days I’d call and ask for an update and they kept saying we haven’t gotten to it yet, it’s going to hard to figure out. Even tho there job is to figure out hard things. This went on for 3 days, and on Friday I said I’m picking up my truck today regardless because I need my truck for the weekend, then suddenly they decided to look at it. This really bothered me, if I wanted my truck to not get looked at I wouldn’t have made an appointment I would’ve dropped it off and told them to look when they have a chance, but no I had an appointment for a reason.
Anyways, now jumping forward too November 3rd, 2023. All I needed was an alignment and to figure out why my steering feels off, I figured an alignment I’d try them again because I could get in soon. In the past I’ve had alignments at other shops and it only take 1-1.5 hours. I dropped my truck off when they opened at 8am, and hadn’t heard anything by 2: 30pm so I called and asked for an update on my truck. They then go an tell me that my truck needs an intake manifold, new spark plugs, and new coils. I had never asked for them to check any of this, yet they still charged me for 1.5 hours labour for that even tho I didn’t ask them for any of that work. And my spark plugs are less than a year old, and I don’t have a misfire so I don’t need coils. So they were trying to scam money out of me there. I said I only brought my truck for an alignment and the guy on the phone didn’t know what to say, all he said was “hm okay” then they finally get to checking my front end before the alignment. They said they couldn’t do it because my lower ball joints had play, I said that’s weird they’re only 6 months old and had no play when I checked them last week. The guy again didn’t know what to say and just gave me a “hm okay” I did know there was a chance they could’ve gotten play in that week, so when I got home I jacked my truck up again and my lower ball joints have absolutely no play whatsoever, I even had my buddy come over who’s a mechanic and check them, and yeah no play whatsoever. So this shop tried scamming more money out of me there too. Now I’m going to have to take another day off work to take my truck somewhere else to actually get the alignment done.
I would not go to this shop, they don’t know what they’re doing and they’ll tell you, you need a bunch of work done that you don’t need. Avoid this shop at all costs!

Apparently they only want easy jobs. They were "not really interested in working on it. " (93 4runner) Why is that? I asked. "They're a nightmare to work on. " PATHETIC work ethic

Had a great experience with the crew at PG Direct Auto. Our family was going on a long trip and needed our van gone over. It has been running awesome ever since. They addressed and repaired any issues that may have caused us problems on the drive. The price after everything was extremely reasonable. I will definitely be bringing my business there from now on. PG Direct is a fantastic shop with great staff. The prices are very reasonable and the service is fantastic.

This place literally wanted 3x's what other shops wanted. After hearing similar stories, how they have two bad reviews is beyond me. I would like to think i am responsible for them not getting their sign from old location when they left early.

Ryan, Steve, and their crew are trustworthy, honest, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Only place in PG that touches my family's vehicles.

This shop is amazing, My truck broke down and I was 8 hrs away from home. I phoned these guys up on the 12th and asked for an appointment, they said next available appointment was the 26th.
When I explained my situation they said they will fit me in sooner. Had the truck towed to them by Monday evening the 12th and they had it diagnosed and a quote by 9am the next morning, he explained that one of the parts wasn't available in town and needed to be brought in from Vancouver. They even had the truck ready a day earlier then promised and the repairs and labour were even cheaper then the original quote. On a side note they even fixed and diagnosed another issue that my local mechanic couldn't find/fix
Can't speak highly enough about this repair shop. I wish this shop was in Edmonton.

Was passing through town and had some concerning noises from one wheel. They helped me out immediately and got me on the road in short order. That same day I made it home without issue. I am extremely grateful for their diagnosis + repair of my truck and the price was shockingly low. You guys rock!

I have used this shop since the current owner worked for the previous owner; I trust Ryan implicitly as a person and the work in this shop is excellent. They will explain all they find (including what is not yet clear) and work with you to keep your vehicles in top shape. Excellent shop for an ongoing relationship; a mechanic you can trust is worth their weight in gold.
