Pho 99 New Westminster

This place is a fairly affordable and decent place to eat. There was a nice amount of meat in my order, and they provided both tea and ice water without me asking. In terms of broth flavour, it’s a clearer broth compared to other places but still had a meaty/beef flavour. It isn’t as oily as some places, which is a positive for me.

Another big plus is that even though their hours were adjusted for christmas/new years, they still opened fairly late (until 11pm I believe).

We live nearby and we never been to this place before for almost 3 years! And last two week we were out and have a taste for Vietnamese food, we order chicken soup and others menu all the menu so good delicious and staff was nice and friendly. Highly recommend for everyone who’s love to try Vietnamese cuisine. You won’t regret it. Free parking is always available. Access for disabled people.

Simply a different restaurant compared to others in the chain.

I think this restaurant deviated from the standard broth recipe for the Pho 99 company and it helped them immensely. The broth tastes much closer to an independent family restaurant (like Pho Han) and they have great portions of flank.

They recently improved their noodles as well. They separate rather than clumping when exposed to the hot broth. Wonderfully delicious.

My favorite order is #3 large (beef pho with flank!). The fried squid is great.

Also love their rice rolls with minced meat.

I had the worst customer service experience ever during my two visits. The service is terrible; they never refill water or ask how our meal is. We consistently had to go to the counter for the bill and to order more food, even when they weren't busy. During my recent visit at 11 am (opening time), the servers and kitchen staff arrived around 10: 57 am, serving tables without cleaning them first.

They provided a tiny amount of bean sprouts for three people, the same amount as when I came alone last time. When we asked for more, they charged us without mentioning it, and the extra amount was tiny. (wow you guys charged for such a tiny amount of extra toppings lol?) Despite going to the counter multiple times, the servers never came to our table. Once, I found a staff member at the counter drinking bubble tea and on her phone. When I asked for the bill, she initially handed me the pay machine without the bill. After requesting it, I discovered extra charges for onions, jalapeños, and bean sprouts. It would significantly improve the experience if they let customers know in advance, that extra toppings will be charged. Most Vietnamese restaurants typically don't charge for these extras, and even if they do, they provide a reasonable amount or let us know in advance.

You should improve your customer service first before trying to improve your rating through promos, otherwise customers won’t keep coming

Their chicken plate is in the top for best lemongrass chicken I've tasted! So juicy and full of flavour!

Friendly service, good banh mi and strong iced coffee. I like the big parking lot, makes it very convenient for me to drive to. Will order again.

Ordered the three spring rolls on rice vermicelli. Delicious and I will definitely be back to try out their other items.

This place is amazing and delicious. We had two main dishes and fried seafood rolls. Portions are generous and satisfying. I totally recommend this place.

It’s not bad. Good standard average Pho place in my opinion. Nothing stood out but everything was good enough.

Ordered three things, all were wonderful! Nice authentic flavour, would definitely come back again.

The beef stew comes with a ton of meat (a plus, in my book) and the broth was delicious. The rice too was absolutely yummy. Beware if you're getting the 4 appetizer rolls in addition to a main dish though. The rolls are enough to fill you easily on their own!

Very affordable pho noodles in 2022 (kid meal is only $7.50 including a juice box). The taste is surprisingly Vancouver-Vietnamese authentic, which is very hard to find nowadays. This one is definitely a gem hidden in New Westminster. I would definitely revisit and make this place a regular go-to for me and my family.

First visit and it wasn't so busy on an early afternoon.
We were greeted and seated right away.
Noticed our table were not wiped and could see the grease and water marks.
My son kindly asked the server to wipe down the table and she did without a problem
We ordered beef pho, 4 mini rolls and 2 fried rolls.
I tasted the broth and it was good!
Not salty, not greasy it was really tasty!
The amount of meat and noodles matched with the price. The only flaw that my son found was the quality of the rice noodles, it was overcooked and tasted off!
I told my son to tell the server so they could give him fresh noodles and broth on the side and just transfer the meat that was served earlier but he didnt.
As the server was collecting the dishes from our table I gave my son a queue about the noodles and he did tell her.
The server listened and apologized which was a good thing!
Overall the place looks bright and in order but tables need attention. Clean the tables as customers leave so it's ready for the next.
Will recommend this place for sure!

We tried this restaurant because we were craving Pho and it was within walking distance from our home. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food tasted. We ordered chicken pho and fried rolls and they were delicious. We’re eating leftovers for lunch today and they a just as delicious. The ingredients in the pho are different than I’ve typically had but still wonderful. I recommend you give it a try.

The place was clean and nice. Food was good specially the pho that I had broth was good and tasty. Fast service I’m satisfied indeed

Sene out the door with frozen tripe and frozen tendon, rock hard,
Never ever go to this restaurant again

Girl tells me to put the frozen tendon in my soup, and then hangs up on me, very poor customer service.
I will never go here again and will make sure everyone is know doesn't go there with

Pho99 has a few locations and the food is decent. However the service on this particular location is just alright. The food is not consistent as some days the food is cooked better than others. Overall is a good restaurant.

I did a takeout order of 2 spring rolls and the lady actually charged me for the same sauces that are free on the table

Very lackluster meal. Skimpy on ingredients, I think I got the bottom of the noodle bucket because it was just a ball of little strings glued together. Not much meat either was all bunched on top, the broth was okay. Came with one slice of jalapeño, tiny piece of lemon and very little (water logged) bean sprouts. The basil was very fresh and crisp
Dont get me started on the tiny, hard chicken wings.
Will be going elsewhere. There's way better in New Westminster!

It's a great classy place with a great service. The food is excellent. I definitely recommend it. Also it's not that busy.

Good place for quick meal, even though it’s a middle of busy lunch hours. Flavour wise, they have regular phos that you can easily expect in North America.

Opening hours’ quite longer than other restaurants. Noticed that they do deliveries too. I’ll try it someday for late night food if I hang out nearby.

I know we are near the end of the wearing masks policy/safety, but kitchen staff preparing food are not wearing masks while in the kitchen making food. Of all the people not wearing masks. This is unacceptable. I made a comment about it, and they brushed it off. Hopefully no vulnerable people in the community are affected by the ignorance of the publics health and safety protocols.

Simple fresh delicious food with friendly service. This is the perfect neighbourhood low-key Vietnamese joint. Loved it!

This place is super lit. All I can really say. They are located conveniently close to my house and have some excellent iced coffee. Iykyk

The restaurant has new owners and has renovated. Spacious with new seating. Pho is not worse than other restaurants.

The food tasted very good.
The staff were very friendly.
I'm going to visit again.:)
