Pho Goodness

I ordered No. 20 Pho Dac Biet ($16) which comes with everything. The broth is a bit salty, but I absolutely love the meatballs so much. It’s definitely worth trying this Pho!

Cute place. The food is decent. The pho broth is on the salty side so I didn't end up drinking much of it. Decent amount of beef though I suggest going with #20 the house special as it comes with a heafty amount of proteins for only an extra 50 cents.

FYI if you go with children there is no kids menu or smaller sizes. They do have high chairs but no booster seats.

The Vietnamese chicken curry here is delicious, generous meat portion and I think the price is fair. The interior is pretty plain but i'll take that for a nice meal!

Good food. Friendly service. I will say the walls need to be cleaned as the one next to us was dirty. $$

My advice: Don’t order the vegetarian rice dish.
I could not finish this dish at all. Got served plain rice with sour vegetables, no other taste at all. The only thing that tasted okay was the tofu.
My friend ordered the vegetarian pho dish, that one tasted good, but he got immediate stomach aches afterwards.
Would not go there again.

This place has cockroaches!
Sat down to order and before the food came, a cockroach crawled from out the vent and down the wall. This was in the middle of the day.

Left before being served food. Will not be coming back. Must be a huge infestation. Beware.

Most visit and have their lemon grass chicken pho. It is out of this world. Nothing can beat this. I am addicted to their pho.

The pho satay here is really good, one of my go to's for pho satay for dine in or delivery.

Soup came out hot and quick. The broth was perfect. The place filled up quickly and by the time we left there was a lineup.

Great pho with the spicy peanut satay broth and the banh mi are perfect in the summer time to head down to the beach with. Can't beat the prices as well

My favorite Vietnamese place in the West End. Exceptional broth for beef pho. Spicy satay version of the pho ($2 add-on) is zesty and tasty. The service is what you expect from a Vietnamese joint

There's a conception that in Asian restaurants the ideal rating is 3.5 stars because that means great food + poor service. I think Pho Goodness is an exception to the rule:

So-so food + wait staff that yell at you for getting a napkin from the counter after being ignored for most of the meal & being given the bill immediately after dishes were cleared (the proverbial GTFO.a delightful touch).

I tried vermicelli or Rice short rib and chicken bowls and they are amazing. Their chili oil tastes amazing too. Definitely recommended

I absolutely love PHO! This meal was great! All the toppings and sauces to make it spicy how I like it. The Beef was cooked to perfection. It does come raw on top a little, but don’t be alarmed it’s edible and your broth would just cook it. I’m happy and full!

The lemongrass chicken with the fried egg on rice was really good. The grilled chicken was as good and even better than what you will get in Vietnam where they cook it out on the street over charcoal, definitely one of the best in Vancouver. Fried egg was done perfectly. You have to try it.

Service is unfriendly, and the soup is very average with terrible presentation. They’ll also charge you extra for cilantro.

Fresh, hearty, and affordable pho and mains. Pho is a large portion and consistently excellent - this is probably your best bet on the downtown peninsula.
Bright and clean place. Only downside is there's hardly any chicken in the lemongrass chicken banh mi.

Ordered the lemongrass chicken banh mi sandwich. The sandwich was tasty and definitely filled me up. Will come back again to try some of their other dishes.

Yesterday was our 2nd time here and for sure it won’t be our last time. Lots of seat selection at 11: 30 am but filled up fast with people on lunch break. Sometimes you would need to share a table. There are a few tables for 2 and a few tables for 4 plus the bar type at the front door facing the street. We had #22 and #24 and the meat was perfect. Not chewy like some other Pho places. The broth was excellent and the service was very well organized, prompt and friendly.

If i were to give them zero star i would.ordered the beef broth.its super extra salty that i couldnt have more than 2 sips.called them back and complained but the manager was so rude n defensive that he refused to even listen to me.n said that he cant do anything.thats how the broth is made.n there is no refunds done in their restaurant despite the fact i told him that i would bring whole bowl of broth back n want my money back.he started arguing with me n said nothjng can be done. WORST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY. WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION.

PHO Central which is across the street is way better in their customer service n in their quality of food.

I went there yesterday Again, still veeery nice, fast, clean and tasty!

I ordered the grilled chicken and spring rolls with vermicelli for lunch today. The food was delivered without any folks or chop sticks to use to eat. Besides, the vermicelli is not well cooked, very tough. I'm not sure if they were old then they just put it into the microwave before delivery. I used to order the same food before and the vermicelli was much fresh and softer. I called to the restaurant to talk to the owner but the staff said she was not sure when he would be there. However, whenever I go there, I always see him and his wife in the cooking area in the front.
I will never order this item again!

In my opinion, this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in downtown Vancouver. Food is always tasty and the portions are great for the price point. I eat here quite frequently because of this.

Pictures are the grilled chicken with fried egg on rice and grilled pork and shrimp on vermicelli. Both were delicious.

The best pho place in davie street. Lovely and clean ambiance. I always come here. We notice one of their staff is not very friendly but other than that other staff are warm and welcoming. The food is wonderful. We wish one day they would open late until 10pm. Yummy cha gio or deep fried spring rolls.

Best value for money. The service is very fast and the quality is great. If you’re looking for pho, but want it quick and good, this is a good spot. Warning, no AC so if you’re the sweaty type, it might feel like a sauna.
