Pho Haven Restaurant

Food was in the top 3 meals I've eaten in Ladner. The wonton soup was delicious. Not sure if its available in a larger size as I had ordered off the appetizer menu. Spring roll (s) were crispy and packed with a meaty filling. Service was friendly, immediate and with a smile. Cost was beyond reasonable. One pho, one order of spring roll and one wonton fed 2 people dinner and one of us will have lunch for tmr. (approx 36$ after tax) Will be back

We went for lunch after checking out the nearby thrift store and bakery in Ladner.
The atmosphere is typical and expected of Vietnamese restaurant in a strip mall.
Overall, I would suggest to stick with the soup as it was very good, but the other items we tried were not as good.
We ordered three items: Vietnamese chicken wings, Bahn mi sandwich, and bun bo hue soup.
The wings and Bahn mi were both lackluster, but the soup was good!
The chicken wings were overcooked and a bit dried out. I suspect the wings are par fried or pre cooked and then finished and sauced when ordered. The reason I suspect this is the wings came out very quickly and there is no way they could have been fried from raw in that time. Anyway the wings, while warm when we got them were a bit overcooked.
The Bahn mi sandwich had fresh veggies but the meat (grilled pork) was a bit too grilled for its thickness and was a bit like jerky. There was very little sauce/mayo and no pate (a usual part of a Bahn mi) so it made for an overall dry sandwich.
Finally, the Bun Bo Hue was hot, spicy, full of flavour and had very generous amounts of meat and noodle! We were not disappointed with the soup and would recommend sticking with the soups if you go to Pho Haven!

Very casual atmosphere. Just happened to pass by today and I was seated right away. Food is very good! I got the House Special Pho with Vietnamese Iced Coffee for a late lunch. Very nice and polite staff. Overall, highly recommended!

Lovely little place that serves good quality and totally unpretentious Vietnamese food. Feels like at home. The pho was very tasty, not as oily as elsewhere. Banh mi was generous and filling, with crunchy fresh ingredients. The waitress was very nice and talkative. A nice lunch break during a road trip near the US border.
Very convenient parking, located in a small shopping centre. Good stop.

Best Vietnamese food in Delta. Possibly my favorite restaurant in Delta, and definitely my favorite in Ladner.

Definitely the best of the various pho places in this area of Metro Vancouver. HUGE flavourful bowls of soup, including really good wonton soup. I personally eschew the healthy stuff and do the delicious fried wontons instead (you get something like 14 of them in a starters-priced order!). Then I have the #24, beef short ribs in THE BEST sticky glaze I've ever tasted. I wish it came with anything but a huge portion of rice, but oh well. They have the best spring rolls too: tightly wrapped, never greasy. My sister-in-law had chicken curry and loved it. Oh: and the Banh mi is SO GOOD. I get the beef version. Watch out for the jalapenos, though. Super hot.

I always go this pho place since I have moved to Tsawwassen as this the best one in all of Ladner and Tsawwassen. Their pho soup has a savoury body alot of other local pho places lack as other places taste simply watery or lacking. I always get a noodle soup and I have also started to greatly enjoy their spicy peanut soup. Too bad they close a bit early but thats the case with most stores in this side of the lower mainland.

Pho Haven or pho heaven? Their peanut saute pho is really rich and packed with flavor, though their regular soup base is good too. Our kid really enjoyed their crispy chicken (fried leg+thigh, no batter) with fried rice. Meat and tendon cuts were all very tender, including the brisket which is rarely the case. I like their portion size. Normally I can't finish everything, but the meat and noodle amount here was just right for a good fill but not too stuffed. Will be back again next time we're in the area!

The curry is quite good taste wise, the carrots are squishy. Nice hole-in-the-wall restaurant that locals go to. Been there twice, will go again.

Went for lunch. Had the Pho special, was pleased to see they offered tripe and tendon, something that is not as mainstream here in suburbia.

Update: came back and had the BBQ pork banh mi sandwich and it was really good. The bread was light and crispy and a bit chewy, just right!

Had the grilled pork with vermicelli bowl and it was spectacular! The grilled pork had a nice charred flavour (like it was just taken off the grill), the vermicelli was fresh, veggies were fresh and the topping sauce had a nice flavour.

Others I had come with tried the soup and said it had lots of good flavour. I am curious to try the soup next time.

Ambiance and seating area is quite standard for your average pho restaurant. Nothing to write home about in that aspect.

I would recommend and I will go back.

As the reviews said, their soup base is really tasty, layered and delicious. The soup is hot enough and the overall portion is good! Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

We ordered take away from here for the first time and WOW! We really were pleasantly impressed the flavor, quality and quantity of the dishes we ordered. We will definitely be coming back for more.

I have lived in Ladner for quite some time, yet have never been here until today. Holy moly! DELICIOUS! I got the #37 Pho (rare beef & brisket) and it was outstanding. Very flavourful broth and best of all (these days anyways), tasted amazing despite getting it to-go.

I will be a regular!

Great pho - always get the vegetarian one, and it’s amazing. Huge bowl, tons of mixins, etc. Sweet, spicy, hearty, and comforting. Highly recommended (and a good value)

Truly a Mom & Pop family business that is hidden in the quaint Village of Ladner! Food is very homey and their Beef Pho is outstanding! Loaded with all cuts of beef you will always be leaving with a very satisfied tummy! Lots of free parking available!

Clean and socially distant set up. Excellent food value! Love the salad rolls, spring rolls and vermacelli bowls! It's all good! Very nice owners too. Glad to support our local community.

Ordered some pho and lemon grass chicken. Quick service and fresh tasting food. Ice coffee was great too. Best Pho in town.

Stopped by to order takeout on my way home and it only took maybe 10 minutes for my food to be ready even though I ordered 3 dishes. Absolutely delicious.

Had a hankering for pho and was in the area - I went in with few expectations, but was very impressed! I had their house special which had a nice, generous, assortment of beefy bits. Service was friendly and laid back. Would recommend.

Fantastic Pho in the heart of Ladner Village! Wish it was here when I worked across the street! Extra meat for $2 is a great value too. And friendly people work there too! Lovely addition to the village.

Such a delicious dinner! So many items to choose from on the menu and lots of vegetarian options. Really tasty veggie pho and honestly one of the best bahn mi sandwiches I've ever had!

Ordered dinner. Showed up and he and he had given our food away. Didnt even try to convince us that he would try to rush our order. Didnt seem to even care he made a mistake.

When we went to pick up food & realized this, mistakes happen. We are understandable people, and would have happily waited to receive fresh food. But instead we were met with the following circus.

- never once apologized or admired a mistake
- just kept repeating some lady picked up for phone #. And we had to keep saying it wasn’t us
- he tried to give us other ppls take out food, after he knew it wasn’t ours
- told us we need to reorder, and instead of the 20 minute wait it was initially, it’s now going to be 40 minutes

They made the mistake, all of the initial stuff would have been tolerable, but the fact we order 30 minutes ahead of everyone else. And now we have to wait double the time? That is not right. Our order should be rushed, he should have made at least the smallest of apologies. We were ahead of everyone else.

Us and another family were so disappointed we have both agreed to never eat at this place in future

First I have to say that this is one of the few Pho places that I felt it was really clean, and that they pay attention to cleanliness. The washrooms are also an indicator. The chairs are comfortable, and the restaurant has a nice ambiance, not one of these eat and immediately leave places. I tried the vegetarian Pho, I'm kinda used to the fact that since it's vegetable broth it's mostly tasteless. However, there was a decent amount of veggies not just noodles and two pieces of vegetables. After adding some chili sauce it became nice, but, be aware that it's v.spicy. I recommend the place.

The chicken pho broth is amazing. I have a cold, so what could be better then chicken pho? The portions are big, reasonable, and I drank the broth. The broth was so good, I left the tea alone and drank the broth.
This is the locals joint. This is the place where you go, and have some pho for lunch. There were as many people, or more, sitting alone having pho, as there were people in pairs.

You will not get better service at a Vietnamese place. Friendly staff, great portions for very inexpensive prices. Don't miss out on this place. Everytging a Vietnamese restaurant should be.

Tried Pho Haven for lunch today. Surprisingly, under new ownership, formerly pho tastic. Has been open for about 1 month but no signage up yet. Pleasantly surprised. New menu has way more options, staff very attentive. Met the owner's brother, who was very pleasant young man. We had the vermacelli grilled pork and spring roll, grilled pork bun (sandwich), and vegetable/tofu salad roll. Had to take the second roll home as I wasn't expecting 2 per order.nice surprise! Hubby really enjoyed his vermacelli meal and 1/2 of one salad roll, hey, I share!
Will be back to try the pho next time!

I got the pork vermicelli with egg rolls for an appy. The pork was chewy with little flavour, and taste burnt. The meat itself was not burnt so this indicates they don't clean their grill frequently enough; I know what a seasoned pan tastes like and this is not it. The salad taste like chemicals which indicates it wasn't rinsed and still coated in pesticides. The egg roll was mediocre at best. I have had this exact same dish substantially better elsewhere. All the people rating this place 5 stars need to try a Vietnamese restaurant in Burnaby or Vancouver.
