My go to pho restaurant! Spring rolls taste very authentic and the lemon chicken and pork are so delicious and savoury! Also nice that they have egg noodles as an option! My favourite place!

No non-sense AWESOME pho, lemongrass chicken on rice, marinated pork chop on rice and fish cake restaurant around. The prices and portions are great. It's a mom-and-pa shop so do not expect michelin-star level decor or service. But if you enjoy a good bowl of heartwarming pho on a rainy or cold day, this is easily one of the best places to go. Parking on the streets around is easy to find with a few spot on the back.

Definitely a hidden gem pho restaurant in North Burnaby area! Amazing huge bowl and tasty, we will come back for sure.

Not good… Both pho and vermicelli dishes were pretty bad compared to most Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver. I’m not sure why this place has such high reviews.

This hidden gem in Burnaby Heights is really good. Don’t let the ambiance fool you as the food is both authentic and very good. The owner used to work for Troung at the famous Bau Chau restaurant near Slocan st and Hastings at in east Vancouver. That used to be my go to but unfortunately, redevelopment forced Bau Chau and the Slocan restaurant ti shut their doors permanently.

This is my go to now but it’s hard to to find as it’s upstairs at the 3800 block of hasting st. Give this place a try it won’t disappoint.

Great pho place in burnaby. Family run and owners are super nice. Low prices and decent sizes. A must try!

Great reliable pho restaurant. Might be the cheapest place in town! My go-to dish is the house special. It’s not the best pho I’ve had, but it does satisfy my craving and it’s cheap! Win win!

I miss bao chau but this is almost a replacement. However nothing will ever replace that beautiful restaurant The first time I went I throughly enjoyed the food!

Great prices and friendly service from a family owned business. I love the bun ho bue, but I missed the pork hock today.

Extremely reasonable pricing. Total mom and pop operation, love it! Food is good too, total bonus!

Edited: I think the owner is overly pride of their food and busienss. Please visit Viet Noodle Guy, which is lcoated in Brentwood, pass this location. The price is about $5 more expensive and the ingredients are really fresh. It's shame for the Viet Noodle Guy to be compared with this restaurant.

I also forgot to mention the serving of topping is really small. So that's how this restaurant cheap out; cook pho with cheap ingredients and using the least. And this is NOT the only family Vietnamest restaurant in Metro Vancouver. I think most of Vietnamese restaurants are family-owned and operated. So.having family members employed is not the best reason to explain why the menu price is so cheap.

Not sure why this place has such high review.

0. Location: it's on the 2nd floor and it's so hidden you will be shocked there is a restaurant in this destitude neighbourhood.

1. The food came out extremely slow. Their initial excuse was "too many take out for the day" but I didn't see any take out people waiting for the food. Magically, our food was served within a minute after the excuse.

2. The taste is really blend and nothing special. They served rotten meat to my brother.

3. The only good thing about this place is price. But considering the location and the cost of menu, this owner probably don't use a lot of fresh ingredients.

Overall, not worth and not coming back. All good reviews seem to be paid by the owner.

The restaurant seems like a family owned restaurant. Every staff member is very friendly. We ordered house special pho and spring rolls. They were very delicious!
The broth is quite rich and they give you good amount of meat. The spring rolls are crispy. They give out lots of basil leaves ️

Really friendly staff, great portion sizes and delicious food! I will definitely be back and will let others know ️.

Came here cuz of the high ratings, but overrated.ordered raw beef and tendon pho.broth is very good (I've been to lots of pho places), but quite oily. I wonder if it had anything to do with the oily food show they have on their tv.portion is very filling.very disappointed with the tendons, not soft and had little flavor.raw beef is alright, could be better.also ordered lemongrass chicken rice.i suppose it's their family recipe but no way this is the regular lemongrass you'd find in other pho places.this is soy sauce chicken with some lemongrass.spring rolls were too deep fried, I don't think some of these reviews understand difference between overfried and crisp fried.service is good, greeted me at entry and when leaving.uncle seemed quite shy.store is very spacious and well ventilated, has air conditioning.price is fair.will eat again if in the area, but won't travel for the food. 3.5/5 maybe 4 if I'm really hungry.

Been searching for a new Pho place since my favourite Vietnamese restaurant, Bau Chau, closed. I tried the rare beef pho and spring rolls. The Pho broth was very good, served with fresh bean sprouts and basil. Definitely satisfied my craving for Pho, but the quality of the beef could have been better and served on the side - that being said - the price of the Pho matched the quality - very inexpensive at $11 for a large soup. So if you want higher quality beef, you would need to pay a lot more. Thought the noodles were slightly over, or maybe just a thinner noodle than I’m used to. The spring roll was just ok. I didn’t try the pork chops, but they looked great at the table next to me. Will have to try those next time. If you’re craving a good bowl of pho, at a great value price, I recommend this place.

Today i went with friends and have had great experiences. The broth reminded me the good Phở in Saigon years ago. This is my new go to Phở place

Food was good portion, so I'll give it 2 stars.
We were a group of 4 and the only people in the restaurant. There was no service during our meal and I had called out twice with no response. I had to get up and grab them from the back to pay for our meal and get containers, even though I saw someone at the front ignoring (?) us. Not many options like other Vietnamese places so a couple of my friends didn't get to choose a dish they liked

Got the special bun (vermicelli). Shrimp on sugar cane was a little funky, grilled pork was under-seasoned, egg roll was crunchy fried though.

My 3 Vietnamese elders reported the pho was middle of the road.

Coming from the North Shore where pho is expensive, I feel incredibly satisfied with $10 bowls of delicious pho here! The broth is very clean and you can taste the fresh ingredients they use. Beef is very tasty and they don't skimp out either. The chili oil is not the spicy kind but it's the flavourful and aromatic kind which is awesome. We also ordered the spring roll and it's decent sized and it was very crispy and filling! You will feel like you are stepping into a local family run restaurant in Asia including the friendly casual vibes but also the heat because of no A/C, haha. We will definitely be visiting this place again.

Amazing Vietnamese food. The restaurant is run by a really kind family and the food is always outstanding. Probably the best viet I’ve found out of 15+ places in vancouver/Burnaby. Since finding this place we go every week and never bother with anywhere else!

Really reasonable prices and the food is just incredible.

Standard Vietnamese dishes. Nothing wrong with anything. Ordered the house special and the Bun Bo Hue. Broth was flavorful, good price for the portion, though the Bun Bo Hue was missing the pork hock that it’s usually served with.

Parking at the back. Decent portion for the price. Shredded pork a bit salty for my liking but overall it's good

This is among the hidden gems in the North Burnaby Heights. This is a small, family run, authentic restaurant with possible the best pho you will ever have. First off, the soups are piping hot, and they stay that way until the last spoon full. I have no idea how they get the soup to do that, but its great. The flavor on all their products are unreal. This is the only pho restaurant that I have gone to where I order something different almost every time and its because they have a wicked selection and everything is absolutely amazing. Dishes that I highly recommend: Viet Style Wonton soup, Beef Stew, Bún bò Huế, Lemon Grass Chicken pho (in beef broth), and the #17 which is a Viet style stir fry that comes with your choice of protein (chicken, pork, beef [I always get the chicken]) a side of rice and mixed veggies (broccoli, carrots, and lettuce in a sauce of some sort). This is a highly recommended place and you get to support a family run business.

Please be advised they don't accept Visa.

Cảm ơn
Hole in the wall style local Vietnamese joint dishing no fuss, authentic grub at low fare. Don't judge the exterior, the food is dope but not hugely vegetarian friendly.
I got the Cõm Xào Chay Táu Hu (Tofu and Veggie on Steamed Rice) which was good, needed more Tofu and some dried or fresh chillis.
This place does good grub, I do wish they'd explode a Pho Chay with pure veggie friendly broth.
Support local businesses!

Love the family that runs this, love the Pho. This is everything I love about local, home-style restaurants. Order the Phnom-Penh and thank me later:).

Cleanest broth I've ever had and non-stop Mikey Chen videos playing on the tv makes this place a gem
29 August 2022 13:54
Best pho I’ve had in Vancouver and best portions. Can’t wait to have their pho again, next time for sure I have to try their spring rolls!

With Bao Chau gone, this my new joint! Definitely check it out if you want good value, portions and taste. No AC, so on hot days it brings back memories of hot Pho in Ho Chi Minh.
