Physiomed Vancouver & Spinal Decompression

Not very happy with the service at all. I am supposed to pick up my orthotics on Granville then Granville said I have to pick them up on Broadway etc.everybody is bouncing the ball and I still don't have them also THEY were supposed to do the claim for 2023 to my insurance. I called my insurance and nothing was done for 2023. I went to another place to have another pair done on January 10 and on January 12 I got the reimbursement from my insurance already and I will get my orthotics on January 26,2024 way much faster than physio med. I found that physio med are not very organized and cannot follow up properly with the customer. Don't take too many customer if you cannot provide the service.

Booked for a spinal decompression appointment only. Received dry needling and electrical stimulation first. This was not mentioned when booking initial appointment. After completing treatment I waited for 1 1/2 hours for my decompression appointment. I watched as many regulars and walk in's went before my booked appointment. Staff continuously stated that it would be another 5-7 min. Staff never apologized once for the inconvenience. Staff operating decompression machine was like a deer in headlights when asked any questions on the procedure. The environment was unorganized and chaotic. It was like a rat maze!

If you want to deal with a physio and chiropractic office that is upto date on treatment protocols Physiomed provides such a facility. I was treated for a knee problem and even a longterm upper back pain and am.very satisfied on the treatments provided plus the explanations for the treatments.

Dr. Samji gave me back my quality of life. His adjustments, shock wave, and red light therapy, combined with the spinal decompressions compliment each other. My arthritis pain is reduced. I have better mobility, sleep, and skin. Dr. Samji so far successfully treated my shoulder bursitis, tendinitis, calcifications, heal spurs, as well as neck and back subluxations. It cancelled my carpal tunnel surgery thanks to the shock waves. The red light serves several purposes like healing and rejuvenation; no more crepe skin cleavage is a welcoming side effect.
Dr. Samji's expertise and compassion are very much appreciated. Free parking, friendly staff, and more affordable than other chiropractors. No surprise I drive 45 min.for this doctor and clinic.

I have been to many different Acupuncturists/chiropractors and RMTs but have BY-FAR had the most positive impact and healing from the treatment I have received is here. I have dealt with migraines most of my life and after a couple of serious MVA injuries they became a weekly occurrence that would last for day’s. I have had a constant headache for a couple years. Some therapies helped but never resolved the pain.
I have come to Physiomed since July and realized one morning I didn’t have a headache. Now I have more days without and I feel my posture has improved as well.

I went to this clinic because I read some good reviews online. I suffer from knee pain. Dr. Samjj gave me a schedule that the first four weeks I should go there two times per week and then once per month. I went for total of 12 knee compression session with laser therapy. I saw zero improvement. I spent over $1000.00 for absolutely nothing. Then I went to Dr. Mackenzie Clinic in Coquitlam for consultations. He took an x-ray from my knee and showed me his machines. His machines are way more advanced than Pyysiomed Clinic. If you want to get better go see Dr. Mackenzie.

I had been rear-ended at a very high speed about 8 years ago. I was seeking help all along, going to different physio, Chiro, and massage without permanent relief. I had shoulder dysplasia, my whole back was affected and my hips were constantly in excruciating pain. Those clinics were trying their best as well so I don't wish to knock anyone here.

I accidentally came across Physiomed and their decompression techniques. I've only had a about 5 sessions with Dr Samji and decompression procedures but I feel I have relief for much longer! I can see a light at the end of this painful tunnel.

Dr Samji uses many methods (decompression, shock therapy, the old cracking method, LOL) to treat & relieve pain which, I believe, shocks the body instead of the body getting used to a certain procedure. I wish I met Dr Samji 8 years ago and this accident wouldn't have ruined my life for so long. Dr Samji is truly a God-send for me.

Not a clean clinic, but they don't leave you at the waiting room for too long. They assist you promptly. On the other hand, my wife and I didn't like their decompression machine which are to strong.

Wow. Booked an appt through the ap and took time off work to get all the way out to commercial from north van and they were closed. Received an email confirmation and calendar update and everything.
Wasted my morning. Now I get marketing texts from them x 3 in 2 days trying to get me to book an appt. Incredible.

Had a pinched nerve that was making some fingers go numb and within a week of treatments I was pretty much at 100%.

Bad service on Receptionist, they don't know how to return call as they promise to call you back after few days. Leaving voice mail for 3 times from diffent days is nothing even any call back.

They don't deserve any single star for the horrible experienced that i get on this Clinic. They ask for deposit of $450 last MAY this year 2022, until this October I got only $150 back from my deposit. $300 if NOT big amount on them, it's huge to me considering I can't work right now because of my injury.

Today, after a year and a half enduring intense pain in my neck, as a result of severe cervical degeneration, I have new hope. Only one week has passed in three sessions, where kindness, sensitivity to foreign pain, professionalism, teamwork and technology come together to achieve palpable results. I have seen Dr. Samji three times so far for Knee Decompression Therapy. Over the past few years my knees have progressively got worse and worse. After my first appointment I noticed significant improvement from pain and mobility. I honestly was skeptical about this form of treatment but I am now a believer. The process is painless and quick. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. If you are experiencing knee problems I highly recommend going in for a consultation. So very thankful for Dr. Suhill Samji! This past week I hurt my back, and I was in horrible pain. Couldn’t bend, I couldn’t sleep, could barely walk, so I looked around Vancouver to find someone to help me. Just In the past three days Dr. Suhill Samji has helped adjust my spine and hips. When we took X-rays it showed one side of my hip was higher. Doctors give meds to cover symptoms, but he actually gets to the problem. He is so caring, and the staff are so kind and helpful. This place has been a life saver this past week. I am already sleeping better, and on the road to recovery. Highly recommend you at least give this place a chance.

I was grateful to find a physio so ideally located at Commercial/Broadway. I had a painful bursitis flare up and needed help quickly to resolve it as I do office work. Ali Mohammadi Fard fit me in the next day, listened to my background and asked good questions, showed considerable knowledge, and worked with me to find the best treatments for the inflamed tendon and calcifications. Would definitely return if I had another issue. Recommend.

I was quoted a price over the phone and when I got there I was given a totally different price, which I couldn't afford unfortunately. The receptionist was quite rude also. Won't ever go back there again

Before DR. Samji my knees would buckle like crazy and lockup during long walks, after I did the knee decompression everything changed, felt a huge relief instantly, was able to walk long distances without any buckling and all my pain has gone away! Thank you so much!

Acted on a facebook ad having unsuccessfuly tried other options. After just 2 visits 80% of my lower back pain was gone. Dr Samji and his team are fantastic, very professional and truly care about patient's well being. The combination of the machines they have and their skill is unmatched in the Vancouver area. There is no contract or obligation. For someone like me who doesn't have extended medical coverage this has been great. I have since gone back 4 times to permanently and completely eradicate my pain. I have never felt better in over 2 decades - never thought this was possible. What more could I say to recommend them - do try it out!

Playing soccer multiple times a week I had injured both knees in the past and was always sore after the games since doing weeky decompression treatments i've felt a big improvement! Highly Recommend!

I came for knee decompression treatment because of knee pain for the past month, due to standing at work for long periods as a machine operator. After only 3 treatments my pain is much better. Came to Physiomed and Dr. Samji for the knee decompression treatment to see if they can do anything about my chronic knee pain and swelling. I've had over 6 sessions now and even after the first, i have felt relief and less knee pain from being on my feet too long (walking, activities), and the swelling behind my knee has come down significantly. It is a quick, easy, and painless treatment and would recommend it to anyone who is feeling pressure/pain/swelling in that area.

I have cervical spinal stenosis and was experiencing unrelenting pain down my left side. I saw a different chiropractor for six weeks with minimal improvement. Tried acupuncture and it gave some short term relief. My daughter suggested Physiomed and Dr. Samji and the results have been astonishing. I will admit I was sceptical about seeing another chiropractor. Now not only is the pain gone but my golf has improved dramatically! Playing without pain has been liberating. Thank you Dr. Samji! I came in early during the pandemic after experiencing severe back and shoulder pain from bad posture when working from home. I specifically requested to see Dr Samji because he is one of the very few in Vancouver who practices Pain Neutralization Technique (PNT) in combination with Chiropractic.
My first experience with PNT was over 15 years ago after breaking a vertebrae snowboarding in New Zealand and suffering from chronic back pain for months. I was very young at the time and worried I'd have to live with chronic pain for the rest of my life. By luck, I found a PNT physician and within a few seconds of applying pressure to a couple trigger points, the pain was completely gone. I was amazed! It was quick, effective and non-invasive.
I practice quite a few activities that are harsh on the body (mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding, hiking/backpacking, competitive sailing.) and have been on the hunt for years for someone who practices PNT since moving to Vancouver. I am so glad I found Dr Samji. He's helped me with the pain my body goes through on a regular basis and allowed me to keep practicing those activities I love so much. I now swear by PNT to help me recover faster.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Samji’s since my second week working at Physiomed Vancouver. I've always had a very weak immune system and would get sick very easily. Since my teenage years, I have always suffered from migraines, however, over the last 4 years of being under Dr. Samji’s care, I have noticed not only has my overall health improved immensely but I no longer get migraines as often as I used to. Dr. Samji used this fascinating technique called Pain Neutralization Technique (PNT) to eliminate my migraines. The technique requires him to apply pressure for a few seconds to a couple trigger points and the pain disappears immediately. Yup! Just as easy as that. I remember at first I thought no way! Something as simple as that made my migraine disappear immediately.  Thank you Dr. Samji for your kindness and expertise, it's very much appreciated.

Had to edit my review as things have changed since my initial review. Although there was great relief at the beginning I felt it was definitely a process of diminishing returns. Truly the point in which made me choose to retract my review and not return was when I was suggested a back brace along with another unit. Got my doctor to sign off on it and when time came to pay was quoted $500 for each ontop of the $100 for treatment. I was both appalled and confused, who has in the right mind the budget or capability to pay 11x the expected cost of a session out of nowhere. After some research I found the second unit cost no more then $30 - $100 depending on the vendor with back braces ranging up to $250. This isn't even at cost so as a professional it is assumed they would get a further discount. A mark up of 500% is by no means practical.

The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars now is because the front staff I did see on a regular basis where not only kind and understanding but also always extremely friendly with me. I'm currently looking elsewhere for continued treatment but will definitely miss them.

I'm not one for writing reviews, but with the great results I'm getting from the friendly and professional staff at Physiomed i just had to, and hopefully help somebody else that is suffering.
I've been a carpenter for about fifteen years and suffered with lower back pain early on in my trade. It was quite manageable with minimal treatment up until around five years ago when I also developed sciatica. It really started to affect me and my livelihood so I started to try all kinds of treatments. I'd try one and if one treatment did not work I'd try something else. I've done massage therapy, chiro, acupuncture, cupping, physio and even floatation tanks at lots of different places and spent thousands doing so. Some treatments would work but only for a short period of time and I'd be back again or move onto somewhere else.
Three weeks ago I was really coming to my wits end and really suffering and considering surgery to have my lower back and sciatica fixed as it was becoming unbearable. My girlfriend did one final search to try avoid me having to go for surgery and that's when we came across Physiomed and their different kinds of treatment which I have never tried so I thought why not. I was able to get an appointment straight away as they understood the pain I was in.
When i arrived I was first impressed by their set up and then by the friendly informative staff that just wanted to help. I was not long waiting before I was brought into the back room where I met with Dr Samji. He was able to assess very quickly what my problems were and after an x-ray confirm them. He recommended the laser assisted spinal decompression machine and shock wave therapy with some chiro adjusting and I was all for it as these machines/techniques were new to me. After fifteen minutes on the spinal decompression machine, five minutes shock wave therapy and a little chiro magic from Dr Samji I was like a new man. I really couldn't believe how well it had worked and I felt no pain when leaving. I honestly couldn't keep the smile off my face I was so happy. My back did start to tighten up slightly a few days later but nothing compared to what I was feeling before I first went there. I went back for a subsequent visit and boom it was gone again with the effects lasting even longer. I went for my sixth visit today, not because I felt I had to but its a treatment I will be keeping up until Dr Samji tells me otherwise. All in all I am now feeling great and can not thank the team at Physiomed enough.

I noticed how personable, but also professional doctor Samji has been, as well as the staff.they gave me allot of time to move never pushing me they knew i was in allot of pain, first they locate the problem in my back they explain to me what was happening in my back after that they send me to Spinal decompression this treatment is amazing i was feeling relief in the first decompression, non painful treatment it is amazing, doctor Samji also helped me to improve my posture. I really recommend to any one ho have problem with there back pain or any other spinal pain

Waited 45 minutes only to be told.they were running behind. When I asked how.much behind they said up to an hour. Complete waste of time and I did not wait and will never deal with them again. Very poor service.

The staff are great, Always asking if your ok or how's your day, Make you feel comfortable and safe, Everyone truly know there job down to a tee and get the pain gone with great comfortable and caring physiotherapy sessions, I truly appreciate this place, I am a every day guy saying this because I've been to places where they just care about there next patient to bring in the money, they actually care at Physiomed give them 10 stars. You've read other glowing reviews and they all sound the same but please read mine. You'll find that I only leave positive feedback and so I don't want that to diminish the value of what I'm about to say.

My back issues began about 15 yrs ago after a significant car accident. At the time I settled my case and tried to get on with my life but later realized I might have to just live with the issues and I did. Prior to this I was fairly athletic and strong but due to the issues I had experienced, I just found a new normal without strenuous activities or hobbies.

Fast forward about 5 yrs ago I began to have sever debilitating sciatica, low back pain and eventually drop foot. I had received treatments along the way of course and those places helped relieve my issues so that I could limp back into my life where I found myself settling for another new normal.

This year, prior to Covid19, I began having severe back pain and debilitating sciatica onset once again. I'm not sure if this is going to sound like an ad for social media but the creepy algorithm somehow sent an ad to me for Physiomed at a promotional price. Dr Samji treated me first by taking X-rays onsite, and while I waited I came to learn that he is highly educated and respected in his field. Unfortunately I only was able to have two appointments just as Covid19 began to onset in BC. Due to the recommendations of Dr Bonnie Henry, I decided to hold off on my nonessential treatments and went back to suffering through my days.

Then out of good bad/ luck, I had a severe car accident which forced me to get therapy despite the pandemic. Since I had a great impression of Dr Samji from our initial interactions and the personal yet extremely professional service he provides, I called Physiomed to begin booking my chiropractic treatments. When I found out that they also provide physiotherapy, kinesiology, and RMT, I booked everything else too. They have PPE in full effect with plexiglass barriers, hand sanitizer, physical distancing signage and staff wearing masks. Tables are cleaned and sprayed after every patient so it builds my confidence that they are taking every measure possible to provide a safe environment.

My claim hasn't settled yet, but I will have to say that in comparison to all the places where I have been treated in the past, Dr Samji and his team at Physiomed have provided a comprehensive and coordinated effort that had contributed greatly to my healing in a short time. Although I am also receiving other therapies elsewhere, the philosophy and skill of the team here is excellent. Bookings are well managed with text message reminders and the front office staff are very organized and helpful. Sufficient 2hr parking on Broadway and also behind on 8th Ave.

I'm feel like I'll be Captain America by the time they're done with me here. Thank you Physiomed!

Dr. Samji has an amazing bedside manner, at first I was skeptical, it was a combination of the staff's welcoming attitude and the cutting edge treatments, coupled with cutting edge instruments that really got me to come around. Excellent staff and the spinal laser machine has given me my life back. I can move nerve pain has decreased and I can feel part of my leg again. Definitely the best thing since beer. I have stenosis and have had a back surgery. Recommended for anyone who needs relief from constant agony and nerve damage.

Dr. Samji provides excellent chiropractic care. I felt an instant relief from neck and shoulder pain after his treatment. His chiropractic approach using modern equipments, skill and friendliness make him a two steps ahead from the rest of the chiropractors i’ve seen in the past. Im so disappointed with this clinic.on my first consultation I was told I needed orthotics and that it was gonna be covered by my insurance.they didnt even give me time to think and I paid right away.total of 450, and then I found out (by myself, because the clinic gave me different information) that my insurance would cover only 300.meaning I had to pay 150 of my pocket, for something that I dont need.im so sad about this disgusting place.they made me lose 150 dollars for nothing.i feel robbed.

Now, its been a month since I paid for it, and still waiting for the clinic to submit the claim to the insurance company to get my refund.everyday I call to check on that, they say they need to check and that they will call me back.they never do.i really feel like I was robbed.fooled for sure. STAY AWAY from this unprofessional place!

Their unique decompression machine, along with the chiropractor adjustments make a real difference. My back is doing better, which is making my overall health better. Great team and awesome service

Chiropractor is friendly and is a good communicator, but every one of my appointment has started 15-20 minutes later than the appointment time. Just something to note if you’re considering coming here.

I’ve decided to seek services elsewhere due to this.

Can share nothing but good words for my experience with Dr. Suhill Samji and Gil Yehezkel, the physiotherapist. Was a kind of sceptical when came to the clinic for the first time, did not think that chiropractice would help me with the lower back and hip pain. My scepticism disappeared after the first session as I felt relief from the pain. Dr. Samji was patiently explaining his technique, and what to expect. He also suggested a spinal decompression (by the way they have a wonderful decompression bed with laser treatment, highly recommend!). The combination of the chiropractice and the spinal decompression has resulted in better night sleep (I don't wake up at nights because of pain any more). Following Gil's recommendations in exercising, I noticed better range of motion to my hip. Gil was so kind to email exercises, and I always have them at hand. Overall, I am deeply satisfied with the treatment I'm receiving at the clinic. Thank you!

Dr Samji is a warm, thoughtful, and professional chiropractor who provides a high standard of care. I really appreciate his modern approach to chiropractic medicine. I went in with some persistent lower back pain that was making it hard to enjoy a number of activities that I love. The spine table has been a great experience, and I felt noticeably better after a small number of treatments. I'm back to full activity and feeling great!

Dr Samji's approach to adjustment is different from my previous experience in a way that I think could be more inviting and comforting to people who have been hesitant about chiropractic care in the past. I really feel that he wants to help as many people as possible to have a positive experience and a successful outcome.

The service I receive at this location is outstanding from all the practitioner's.
Dr Samji has my neck moving better than it has in 20 years. He has also addressed my painful plantar fasciitis.
Gil has helped me immensely with 2 significant knee issues & continues to help me improve.
The RMT is awesome. He has really released my neck muscles allowing for further improvements in my range of motion.
I recommend this location to anyone looking for a professional service delivered in comfortable convenient surroundings & that delivers results.

Paid for the shoes and insole for $350. Promised that they will sumit that claim and my moeny will be back with in a month. I have waited for several months now still didnt get money back. Called them several times，the answer is always “they will get someone who in charge of it call me back” and nobody ever called me. The worst experience ever. Do Not Visit！

An update to my review. Called again today (Sep 17th) around 5pm. A lady picked up the phone and tell me she needed to have someone call me back. Based on my experience with them (no one ever call back). I told her I don’t trust them, but she said she will definitely get the doctor call me back by 7pm today. Waited until 6.56pm and called them, of course no one answer. It’s really frustrating the way they treat their customers. Why I need to pay for $350 to get the very uncomfortable insole with a $80Nike shoes!

Disorganised staff, last minute cancellations (several times in a row!), unfriendly. Really disappointed by their level of service. I had an appointment at 7.45, stood in front of a closed shop, then was told that the physio won't be there. And this was already after a cancellation two weeks prior. What a joke. Cannot recommend.

This place is a scam! They came to my work, gave me an off the shelf knee brace and back brace, and charged my medical $1950 dollars. These guys came to my work, spent 5 mins assessing me, then pushed me to take the braces, as well as other items, at a later date, stating that I needed them. I just wanted the custom orthotics. 5 months later no word. Would not return phone calls until I posted this. To be continued.
