Pink Lime Hair Salon and Spa in Vancouver

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Pink Lime Salon and Spa in Vancouver this Christmas week. I arrived in Vancouver to celebrate my birthday and Christmas, it was my first time in Vancouver and in absolute need of a new hair cut/ do as my hair was looking very unhealthy and unmanageable. I managed to get an appointment with Joni, a Master stylist and oh my. I must call him Doctor Joni because his cut, style and advice/ guidance to save my hair.amazing.nonetheless I must say I walked out feeling like a brand new woman. He went above and beyond to help me however he could and sent me home with some wonderful instructions for maintaining until I can make it back in a few months. Joni you are absolutely the best, so skilled and the magic you do!

I also need to thank Maryam for doing full face and make and eyebrows for me. I had never done this and I felt so beautiful when I walked out of the salon. I spent the Night taking as many pictures as I could and all of my family and friends couldn't stop complimenting me.

Thank you to both Joni and Maryam for making this one of the best birthday experiences I have had and boosting me, making me feel so beautiful.

I hope to return to Vancouver in a few months to visit you 2 again for touch ups!

This truly is the best hair salon in Downtown Vancouver. The staff are very very skilled and incredibly friendly. It is a joy to come here and get my hair cut. I have been coming here for a decade and get a great haircut and a great experience EVERY SINGLE TIME. Joseph, Hannif, Sharon are all wonderful. That is the other great thing - if you are tight on time and your favourite stylist is booked, someone else can step in and do a great job for your big event. Highly highly recommended!

A great first experience with Hanif! I described a few must haves and then he took it from there. Left with a new hair style that suits me perfectly.

I walked in with damaged over processed dark blonde hair and I wanted it out! Please bring me back to grey I begged and Dana performed her best artistic chemistry. I am delighted with my new natural grey and equipped with tools and tips to let it grow out healthy. This salon is a delight! People here care about each other and are truly interested in each other's methods. They love what they do! It is clean, professional, bustling. Great energy. I will be back.

First time I ever got my hair coloured and had the best experience at Pink Lime. My stylist took time to find the perfect colour for my hair, even consulted some other staff to perfect the colour and it turned out amazing! Very professional and personable, they offered tea, champagne and mimosas! 100% going back!

I was in on Saturday for an all over colour & since my scalp is all blisters & oozing. I rang on Saturday after my appointment to speak with the manager who had since gone home. I called in on Sunday to get advice on what to do & i was greeted by all the staff gathered around pointing to warn the stylist who carried out the colour that I was there…. Not very professional. I have sent two emails & have not got a response. I went back in for a second time to speak with the manager who refused to speak with me & told me I needed to get in touch with the owner. The way the salon & management have approached this whole situation is extremely unprofessional & paints a terrible image of the salon & its team.

I loved this place so much, Sharon did my hair and Rita helped curl my hair as well afterwards. Both of them were so incredibly sweet and welcoming and i love my hair. It’s so nice to finally have found a salon in Vancouver that I feel excited to go back to! Thank you so much and huge shoutout to the entire team here

Had my elopement updo and makeup done here and the I just got my photos back - the foundation is two shades darker than my actual skin tone and the “contouring” is so aggressive I look like joker. The experience was marred by the aggressive attempts by a second technician there to sell me on permanent makeup. She continuously criticized my looks and told me I had to come in “immediately” for her to microblade my eyebrows… it was a lot and frankly I didn’t need to be put down on my wedding day. Maybe it’s fine for regular services, but don’t bother for a special event!

I walked into Pink Lime with a terribly blotchy red box-dyed mop on my head, half expecting to be laughed at or asked to leave when I described what I was hoping for. Lucky for me I saw Dayna, who was amazing. She was personable and informative, making the experience all the more enjoyable, oh yeah, and she's great with hair too! I left looking like a supermodel (at least that's what my bf said lol), I'll definitely be coming back.

I had a great time at PinkLime!

I get my nails done nearby in Yaletown and kept passing by the salon. It looked so cute from the outside and when I checked out the website - it was very easy for me to navigate. Booking was very quick and easy!

I arrived a few minutes late to my appointment due to some transit issues - the front desk staff were very kind and gracious, they immediately offered to take my coat for me. The salon.is brightly lit without having harsh overhead lights. They had a good volume for the music and the music was a fun mix! It was hard to not want to bob my head along. There was a great energy between the employees working the floor.

Maryam (my stylist) was warm and kind - gave me a lovely wash and scalp massage and then went to work on my shaggy mane! To transform it!

She did a great job giving me exactly what I had asked for - thinning out the weight of my hair and giving me layers that framed my face. I was in and out in 1 hour! Which is impressive - I have fine hair but there is a LOT of it but it was no match for the skills of Maryam! I will be back - maybe for some colour!

P. S.they even offered chocolate on my way out!

10/10 - will be back and highly recommend.

Hanif has a chill welcoming vibe, works incredibly fast, and truly is a master stylist! Just how terrific this (short) haircut is became clear the next day. I washed my hair and towel-dried it. Every. Single. Hair. Fell. Into. Place! No styling, no product needed. Amazing.

I thought I found the place chatting with my hairdresser she mentioned that she has the same hair type (ringlets) as me. I thought awesome she knows what to do, she will not mess my hair. So I tell her what I wanted, a trim adding layers, a little bit a face framing and cutting my bang. I specifically said i wanted a WISPY bang even showed her pictures for visual idea and obviously, I did not wanted my hair straighten because i wanted my natural hair. Full confidence big smile on my face the haircut begins but as soon as she got to my bang it was way to thick i let it happen i thought maybe she is not done have faith. Then the worst happened, she started to straighten my hair when I told her to do NOT do that at the beginning. I asked to not straight them and she told me no worries ill make them wavy after, I was confused and started to be super annoyed, once done blowing my hair my bang was looking terrible way to thick when i ask her to get it a little lighter, she said NO it's good like that. I was crushed but couldn't tell her my reall feeling still gave her a good tip but left with a sour bitter smile on my face feeling ugly. She did NOT listen a thing of what i wanted even when i ask her to fix couple things the answer I had was a NO. I had to go back to re do my hair totally. That's not what you want when you spend so much money for a "professional" to take care of that. I wish i could post the picture of her job and once i fixed it. Now I'm gonna have to wait quiet some time for what she cut extra of the bang to grow back looking like a 80' rock start if i dont pin back half of that bang. Happy birthday to me. Thanks good she did not kill my curls and the mimosa was good. I write this review because hairdresser NEED to LISTEN to what people want! You might think i look good with a thick bang but i dont and Im the one you have to deal with my face in the mirror every day!

I see a stylist named Joni, he is the best stylists that I’ve ever had. Dyed my hair for the first time and made it looking amazing. Would recommend this hair place to anyone

I have been Joni's customer for years. He is an excellent hairdresser and a true artist! Did my highlights and haircut as good as ever!

PS. Now a year later Joni still has been exceeding with his performance by doing a fabulous job each time I see him! I have been getting praised for my highlights and haircut wherever I go! I recommend Joni & Pink Lime with confidence and gladly. That place feels like home and also feels safe and uplifting even during these challenging Covid-19 times.

Hands down, the best salon in the city! Joe has been doing my hair for 24 years and I don’t think I’ve had the same style or colour in a row and I always get compliments! I can’t imagine anyone else colouring and cutting my hair! Thank you to the Pink Lime family for another great experience

I had a full on spa day at Pink Lime with a manicure, pedicure, relaxation massage and haircut.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and all of the staff were very pleasant and welcoming - I left feeling very well taken care of and will definitely be returning in the near future!

I hate to leave a bad review, everyone in the salon is very friendly. Giving 2 stars because I went in for a trim to get *just the ends off* and wanted to keep my length. Walked out with 4 inches off my hair.

The stylist is not professional.
She picked the colour for me and I confirmed if the colour could cover grey hair, she promised it could.
After the colour treatment, I asked again if all grey hair covered, she said it did. However, when I checked at home, it didn’t!
I was so disappointed and it doesn’t worth to spend $200 and 2 hours on it.

I saw Dayna yesterday for highlights and a cut. Incredible stylist who got me to my hair goals! The atmosphere at Pink Lime is so fun and welcoming. I would HIGHLY recommend!

If you are reading this DO NOT GO to this salon. I don't know how they managed to have such high reviews but by booking there you are signing up for at best an overpriced bad haircut and most likely breakage that will make you go home crying. The hair stylist was extremely rough on my hair, the shampooing felt like she was digging her nails in my scalp, 3 days later my scalp is still red and I notice I have noticibly less hair around my hairline. I felt like crying the entire time, the hair dresser had no idea what she was doing and I felt like it was her first time cutting hair. If I could back in time I would, it's going to take months to grow back the damage that she did to my hair. Do not get fooled by the 5 stars comments.

I had a slight colour correction to be made, and they were so quickly and easy about it. Recommend them for sure:)

I had a balayage applied to my hair ahead of my wedding in July and Dayna did an incredible job. I still receive compliments on my hair 8 months later. She and the staff at Pink Lime are all so friendly and extremely good at what they do!

Best experience I’ve ever had. Joseph and his team are fabulous! I wanted my hair lightened and they worked their magic. I loved my visit to Pink Lime yesterday. The team there is so welcoming and kind. I felt comfortable and well taken care of, even pampered! Hanif first cut my hair a decade ago and it was my favorite cut ever - I was drawn away for various reasons and made my way back - glad I did.

I should say that I got lucky to get into there without having a proper appointment with them. I was in YVR for a personal reason and wanted to do a haircut, but never got a chance to book it early. I was trying my luck and they said they can accommodate me. Got very excited to try their service and it was worth it. They gave me the best they've got and the owner/manager was super nice. I will definitely recommend them because of their best service and excellent job.

I was referred to Hanif awhile ago (time flies). Hanif is not only a hair stylist but he is also an interesting & entertaining human! Plus he makes a great mimosas! Oh & I love his suggestions with my hair! The texture & cut are great!

Recommend this place big time. If you want to get your hair done and also nurture your spirit, this place is the one. Friendly people, amazing atmosphere and high end service. My 1st time doing color and haircut here, i went with my mother, she had short hair, and I had long hair. This place will be my forever hair salon from now on.

I had cut color highlights and hair treatment all fantastic Josef is the expert and he transformed my looks completely. Very friendly atmosphere and all highly professional.

Just went to Pink Lime after getting my scalp burned by another Yaletown Hair Salon. Joseph the owner was a great guy and he did an assessment on site. He took me in on short notice and had a new stylist Massoud cut my hair. The coloring product was great and the cut was excellent. Massoud 's attention to detail was top notch. He even trimmed my eyebrows. My experience was 5/5. The cost was a little more than usual but worth it. Good luck.

SO EXPENSIVE. I’ve been getting my hair done professionally for 4 years now (my hairdresser changed professions), and it is usually 1/3 of the cost. I phoned to ask prices so I knew, however the outcome was $200 more than they told me. It looks good don’t get me wrong, but no hair should cost that much without being discussed first. If you needed to go $200 over the usual price, you should’ve explained that to me before it was time to pay. Will not be going back.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Hanif did a wonderful job cutting my curly hair and creating a style I loved. He cut my husband’s hair as well and it looks great too! Really enjoyable salon experience as well. Thank you!

Great experience here today! They were able to get my hair whiter than any other salon has. The super clean environment and kind staff who make good conversation are also a plus!

Burned my scalp the first time and I needed to bleach my hair twice. Got charged the same amount as the first time. Pretty expensive.

This was my worst manicure in the entire life because the master was inexperienced and i am almost sure I was the first person (first person ever!) they were doing manicure for. Imagine coming to a salon and there is a master who doesn't know which instrument to use to clip nails or doesn't know how to remove an old gel polish. It was so ridiculous, more experienced master was teaching them how to remove nail polish on the go, while i was a client.
End result is:
- it took them 40 minutes to remove my polish
- only 1/3 of my cuticle was removed (i can't name this as manicure at all)
- my short nails were unevenly trimmed.literally the shape of my nails is the same as if i just cut them myself without using a nail file
- I refused to have a gel polish (or even regular polish) on because i didn't have time for anyone to study on me and quality would have been poor because they didn't remove a transparent layer of old polish (after 40 minutes!)

But the funniest was the bill.for polish removal and manicure (well i disagree that i had a manicure at all LOL) they wanted to charge me CAD57. (BTW for this amount i do a TOP master in another salon, polish removal and nail strengthening! - the entire cycle from removal to having a new polish on in takes 40 minutes in total:) )

Now I wonder what's wrong is with Salon's management? It is inappropriate to book an appointment for me with a student (who btw never did manicure before) and charge $57 for that? If you want to teach someone at a workspace, you have to notify your clients upfront that student is working, and charge way less than any other salon out there

I been to so many hair salons in Vancouver and never been this happy until I came to pink lime for my balayage. I saw Masoud he did my hair the way I always wanted. His Professional and I highly recommend him! Thank you again.

Terrible place to, the hairstylist missed couple spot in my hair highlights. She also turned my hair into orangr mess. And spent over $400 for terrible service the owner and the manager are very rude and just after your money no service after your pay.

Terrible rude staff, very bad service. My hair was burned and ruined with orange and brassy hair color. Super expensive.

I had a keratin treatment done by Jose, with some assistance from Sharon. Both were SUPER lovely, amazing treatment, and were happy to give me all the information I needed.

I've since washed my hair and am happy to say the keratin treatment has done some amazing work! I have thick curls so it's a lot to tame. I'm definitely going to head back for a haircut soon. Thanks for the lovely treatment!

I had the most amazing experience at Pink Lime Salon! Monique is an amazing hairstylist who listens to all your hair wants and needs. I came in for a "health trim" as Monique likes to call it. I have never been so happy with my hair before. She is also the sweetest human ever! If you want your locks to be transformed, ask for Monique!

Laura is an amazing professional who is able to understands the client needs so well. I am so happy with the hair color and cut that she gave me. All the other staff are also professional and so kind. Pink Lime has a positive vibe. Definitely recommend it.

Very unprofessional owner and staff. After some follow ups, finally they refund the money for their own fault of extra charge for a haircut and a simple root colour, and they thought they were doing a favour of returning the EXTRA money they took! (it was their staff mistake to overcharge the client). Also they promised for a complimentary haircut due to a bad and unrelated haircut experience, and then after one month of calling back, they rejected what they have promised! Also I am wondering how the owner could see the smile on the client's face with the masks on! Very unprofessional!

Joseph is highly skilled, friendly, professional and offers his services at a reasonable price. I’m lucky to have found this salon and will return regularly when I’m in Vancouver.

I saw Johnny at Pink Lime Salon and he was extremely confident and pleasant. My hair has experienced a lot of damage due to colouring but somehow Johnny was able to lighten my hair using a bleach cocktail that didn’t damage my hair at all. I’ve been trying to achieve this colour for years and I was finally able to get it with Johnny. Johnny is super friendly and funny too. The salon was very busy the day I went in. It seemed like all the hairstylists knew their clients personally which gave me the feel that I was part of one big family. I am definitely going to go back to Johnny to get my hair done in the future!

I had a fabulous time with Monique who took care of my hair. It was long overdue! So happy with my cut, colour and the entire experience. I also saw Vanessa for brow tinting and I am so happy! She was amazing!
