I’m a busy medical mom (with unruly curls) and don’t often have the time or money to spend on my hair. So the fact that I keep coming back to Lindsey whenever I can should speak for itself! Keep her booked and busy (but not too busy, I still need her haha)

Janessa is amazing, and quick! She can slam through those foils in my super thick long hair and find the best way to give a less expensive hair refresh option! What’s the perfect time of year to book too because the malls are busy, but the salon is not!

I made an appointment with their new hair stylest paisley and waited a month to go see her. Then the day before she texts me and said something came up.which is fine i mean stuff comes up she said she could fit me in the next sunday so i said that would work fine but never got a response after 5 days confirming. Not a good start. I will be going somewhere else to get my hair done for my christmas party.

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I came in with a wig (my mom's cancer wig) to match my hair to. The colour I ended up with is ashy Grey with green. The colour looks nothing like the wig. The stylist said she would do her best and I said as long as it semi matches I'd be happy. I spent 6.5 hours in the chair to get my hair cut, bleached and toned. My hair makes me look 15+ years older. I wanted an inverted bob, with the back up to the hairline and about 3 inches below my jaw line in the front. She asked if I liked bangs and I said no. Guess what I ended up with bangs.
I have never cried over my hair before but I did during this appointment. I cannot look at myself in the mirror. Every time I catch a glimpse of myself I start to tear up.
When I was crying the stylist said there was nothing else she could do, especially because it was almost closing time.
This cost me over $400 with a tip. Yes, I tipped. I tipped because I know she has to pay booth rent and had I not been in she could have made money towards her booth rent. I didn't want that to have to come out of pocket.
I just had a consultation with another salon and to fix my hair they want $300 plus tax and tip. So I will be paying double essentially for what I originally wanted and asked for.
I have used this salon and it's sister salon (Essentials) for years and have never been disappointed.
I hope the owner sees this and talks with his stylists. This was completely unacceptable.

I called and was told prices for a wash and curl start at 45$-65$ depending on length. I explained I did have extensions and long average length hair 18”. She said at most 70$ (pricey) but I figured it would be a nice experience as it was my birthday. Tell me why it took 120 minutes to wash and curl, why the wash had absolutely no massage or relaxing quality to it (maybe 2 mins long with cold water) why the woman’s curler looked like a dial up REVLON and couldn’t hold my hair on the clamp at all, and then I go to pay …. $100! I gasped. $100 for a curl. When I explained what I was quoted I was given the answer “yeah well it ranges” no manger on site, no ability to call for a manger the next day. I was told I had to come back in person only. I could have purchased a brand new salon quality curler for that price. Now I know why they were the only salon available in a busy mall. As well as why it was completely empty for the whole 2 hours I was there. ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTS.

I'm happy to have found this salon and I'm happy with my hair! Receptionist was friendly and chatty. My stylist was knowledgeable and gave me her honest opinion. In the end I wanted less cut off than she recommended but she respected that and didn't take too much off!

Excellent service by Beth today, I have literally got my hair cut after 2 years because of not very good experience in the past. Beth is very experienced & an expert hair stylist, she did actually what I wanted. I recommend everyone to visit here.

Liliya is best one in the business. She is very patience and understanding of what I need. One of the best haircuts I ever had. Receptionist also welcoming. Over all better experience. Thank you liliya ️

I would have given a good rating, but unfortunately the service I received was a dissatisfaction. I had called a day prior to book an appointment I was told just walk in and we will provide the service. I came all the way from Aggasiz and excited cause I love my hair and I am very particular about my hair and I was looking for a hair wash, blow dry n get some amazing haircut. Hahahaha it was a joke, I walk in and one stylist was free but the receptionist and the stylist spoke something and I was told only dry haircut even if that’s a thing.it was quite discouraging to receive their response. I asked for a product for my hair which was good thing cause that was a sale upfront and for this experience I paid $148.wow! That’s not a good impression and neither the place is interested how the customer felt & that’s not professional. It’s just the experience impact they left me with. I ain’t going to recommend this place to nobody.

Nika is the best hairdresser! I have been getting my hair done since 2015 when she was working Yaletown. She knows how hair should be treated by its characteristics which is very important for keeping hair healthy. She always gives me tips on how to style and how to care with right hair product. She has much knowledge on do's and don't on the hair.

This salon is really good. Very proffessional and comforting staff. My daughter really loved the new hair look. The price too is reasonable.

I have been going there on and off for 16 years now. I even did my wedding hair there. Every time I went there any hair stylist did my hair were so good. They get really good people there. I never had bad experience. Last visit I just decided to drop by and ask for any hair stylist. I meet this lady Maryam. She did such an amazing job repairing my damage hair, cut it properly with great style. I highly recommend this salon

Such a pleasant and quick interaction getting my refill or shampoo. The woman at the front was incredibly kind!:)

Dropped in for a trim. I asked Mary to take it to shoulder length and just cut it so it would turn under a bit. I showed her a picture of what it looked like when I had this cut before. Mary suggested my hair would look better if it was shorter than I asked for. I said no, I wanted it shoulder length. After telling me some clients had complained before that she did what she wanted instead of what they asked for, she proceeded to do exactly that. A couple of times, as she continued to cut, I said “it’s not going to be too short, right? ” She assured me it wouldn’t. The end result is a short bob, not at all what I asked for!

Worst hair salon I went their for my haircut I told the hairstylist Mary to give me a volumizing cut but after the haircut I feel like I have no hair left at all and instead she was insisting me to get highlights done even if I didn’t want them at all. Very bad first experience!

Love my hair! Lindsey has been doing my hair for years. She is very knowledgeable with curly hair and products. All staff have been so kind and professional.

I have been using this studio for more than a year and i am extremely happy with the service their hairstylist provides. However, their reception people have time and again made errors with timing, phone numbers etc, i have a physical condition due to which i cannot self perform basic things like hair wash by myself. The reception failed to inform me that my stylist was not available as she was sick cause someone changed my number by mistake in their register. I can understand that genuine mistakes can be made but this has happened with other people too which i witnessed during one of my visits. This kind of inefficiency is not appreciated. So, as customers, we need to be prepared to not get a service and never be informed on time so we can arrange for alternatives.

Very happy with the turn out of my hair! Lindsey did a fantastic job! As well as everyone is super friendly and easy to talk to!

Tanya has restored my faith in haircuts again.she has done such a good job every single time. I will be seeing her for all my future services. I never thought my hair could look so good. I will be seeing her every 2-3 months!

I go to Nika. She is amazing. Hard worker and doesn’t rush me out of the chair. Takes her time and is very thorough.

Terrible, worst salon experience. I went in with mid back length hair, asked for layers on top for height, bangs shorten & tidied up so it looked better pulled up into a bun, explained it was hard to manage with one hand while recovering from a serious left hand injury. I let Nicole know I would like it longer (to remain that way) at the back vs the front, as I don't like a chopped same length. I have lots of fine but curly hair. Told Nicole I usually wear it up (messy bun) but I don't mind if she takes off some length as it's in bad shape. Nicole proceeded with a straight cut all around that came above my shoulders, she then started texturing the back and sides it I told her no, I don't want texture I want layers on top She continued texturing while saying - no layers - it will leave your hair too thin on the bottom. I said I don't care, please layers, no texturing. She continued to texture explaining HER reasons despite my protests. She had also refused to fix the bangs as she claimed they were too thick to begin with so I would have to let them grow out. (The too thick? Was due to me trimming the bangs that eventually matched one of the layers) which is why I wanted the bang part cut shorter not left chin length - she did not do this and continued to painfully texture mostly from top of ear to bottom in the back and side. I repeated no it will just be frizz, kinky hairs sticky out. Once finished I was obviously unhappy, so she wet it and put me under the dryer to show what it would look like when it dried naturally. It was awful, she suggested she could cut it more if it wanted her too? Adding that I will just have to work with it more, flat iron etc. (exact opposite of my needs) Experiencing her total indifference to what I had asked for along with her I'm the expert you know nothing attitude all I could think to say was 'it's hair it grows back' as I just wanted to get out of there. WORST hair cut ever - now my hair is flat on top and sides, above shoulders straight blunt all around, frizzing out into a bizarre triangle due to the texturing. What was sickening was she refused to listen at all and did not take a second to understand my needs, wants. I can't put it up in a bun. For me a total disaster that is triple the work. If the owner reads this, please have a customer service talk with Nicole. My sale # is 327276,10/24/18,17: 33: 17 I just noticed I was charged for a Gomee whisky single? I did not ask for this but I didn't look at the bill then, I just wanted to leave, erred with tip because the belittling treatment was starting to take hold. Exploding in public is not my thing and there was nothing that could be done anyway, the only good thing was hair grows back (my new mantra). This shop was the only one who could do a last minute appt, many empty seats, at first very happy to be able to get hair fixed last minute I told Lauren I had a public meeting next day, wanted hair tidied up for this but I left with the exact opposite. The receptionist was very very nice though.

I came to this place hoping to achieve the hair colour and cut I wanted as I was traumatized from my previous hairdresser after a terrible hair dye, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. NICOLE did a superb job on my hair. She knew exactly what I wanted, very professional and well knowledgeable. I would recommend her %. Very friendly ambience. I would rate this place 5/5. Got my hair done by Elizabeth and I couldn't be happier! She talked with me in depth before she did anything to my hair explaining the process of what she'd be doing to achieve what I was looking for. Extremely detail oriented, she took her time (but not too long so that the appointment took longer than it should have) to make sure everything was perfect. Even the wash was great, very relaxing and my hair felt way healthier. Customer service was on point from bringing to end, such a sweetheart to chat with. So I went in to the the store i Asked the lady if I could get my sides shaved off she cut a chunk into my hair and ignored everything I Asked she did not trim my side burns or my necks it was $35 it was a rip off and will never be going back would not recomerec

My daughter had her hair coloured and cut here. I booked this salon as the website showed their prices were reasonable and that they had very good reviews. However, my daughter was charged more than what was listed on their website. When I called to question this, I was told that their prices on the website are out of date and in fact they haven't used those prices for a year and a half. I asked for a manager to call me and I still haven't received a call. I think this is misleading and poor customer service.won't go there again and won't recommend them to anyone. The only reason I gave them one star was because my daughter said the technician was very personable.

Went in to have both an olaplex treatment as well as a toner put on my hair to bring it back to an ash blonde from the caramel tone it naturally takes on after a few weeks of having it done. The whole process took over an hour and a half to complete, and by the time I was “done” my hair came out even more yellow/orange and damaged looking than when I came in. I mentioned to my stylist that I was not happy with the way the toner came out, and she agreed that it wasn’t really ashy like I had asked for yet she did not offer to correct it or fix the issue in anyway. I still was unhappy with the outcome and asked her if it was possible that the toner didn’t work in combination with the olaplex treatment and she said it was possible. I told her I did not want to pay for the toner as it did not work and she said she would ask the front desk if we could do discount, however, I paid full price for both treatments. Aside from the disappointing colour my hair ended up being, my hair was also flat ironed while still quite damp leaving if frizzy and textured after what was supposed to be a conditioning treatment. Very disappointed with the way I left this salon and ended up spending the afternoon at another salon getting the colour corrected.
