Omg the food was incredible! Best fried rice I’ve ever had. Also - I don’t even like egg plant and I loved it!

Came here for dinner and was quick to get off the waitlist at about ~10 mins. Loved their special I believe it was the sashimi and their classic butter yaki Udon are my recs! The ambiance was okay but it was on the louder side of the night during peak dinner hours

Service was great, even though we had to wait a little while to get their attention, but food was great, drinks alcoholic like shochu or non-alc like the mocktails were memorable, and I would totally go back again. Keep in mind, on a Friday night they usually get busy so might wanna get on that waitlist pretty quickly.

Came here from on recommendation from a friend. We had chicken wings, scallop ceviche, tsukemono, seafood butter yaki udon, and the aigamo sumiso. I know it’s meant to be a snack bar, but the food was very underwhelming and not worth the price point. However, the design of the restaurant is interesting and funky, and the staff are all very friendly and kind.

Super fun vibe and we always enjoy the food too. The scallop ceviche was great, as were the miso cucumbers. I do miss the prawn and scallop toast from the last menu. The plates are quite small, so better for snacks rather than dinner.

Incredible food, lovely atmosphere and fantastic service! We went with a group of 5 and it was great to be able to try so many of the dishes as we shared approximately ten different dishes between all of us. Definitely a new Vancouver favourite. Highly recommend!

I had a great night with the boyfriend, our order was better than at some Michelin start we’ve tried before. Maybe we were just lucky with our order but everything was delicious.

I thought the dishes were quite underwhelming. You definitely have to order a bunch of dishes because the portion sizes are small. My favorite was the mushroom tempura! The ramen salad was mediocre. Chicken wings were burnt, too. The vibes of the restaurant were really cool though.

Affordable fine dining in tapas form with an Asian fusion twist. There's no pizza, but everything else will be a flavor explosion with amazing textures. The atmosphere is fun and kitchy in an 80s kind of retro vibe. The kitchen is clearly chock full of professional chefs. Kudos to them, can't wait to go back.

Menu contains several items noted as "GF" however, items are not gluten free. They contain soy sauce and do not have a dedicated gf fryer. If it's not GF, do not label it GF.

Not recommended for people with celiac. Server seemed knowledgeable about fryer cross-contamination and gluten in soy sauce. Then served a dish with battered and fried onions.

Food was delicious but service was not the friendliest. Being a vegan means I need to ask certain questions when I order my food, and doing it is sometimes uncomfortable enough - when the server gives you looks and rushes you, it makes it even worse. Portions are not the biggest but it is just a snack restaurant, so be prepared to pay if you go there hungry. Fried rice (vegan) was amazing and actually a decent size too:)

We tried the the ramen fries and miso eggplant dish. Fries were REALLY good but the eggplant dish was super underwhelming.great vibe, especially as the place fills up, and really good service but the food wasn’t quite there for me. To be fair, I only had 2 items on the menu so I’m willing to go back for a proper meal… just so many other amazing places so close by.

Just a vibe. Food was all great and the cocktails were top notch. The merch was also something I had to pick up.

Pizza coming soon is such an underrated restaurant! The staff we so friendly and the food was AMAZING! They had a variety of cocktails and even Jell-O shots! The vibe of the restaurant was very 80s disco diner. It was a great place to share food and enjoy the music. 10/10 recommend!

Pizza Coning Soon is a great spot for delicious snacks and cocktails as well as a great wine list.
Shay, our server answered all of our questions about menu. Great date spot or late night snacks and drinks with friends. I’ll definitely be back!

This place was so cool, and the food was awesome. They mixed up one of our orders, but fixed it right away! Would definitely recommend going here as it was super funky!

OK yes, I ordered everything that the people working here recommended and I was super happy - the food is ~delicious~. Nice, cool people work here. Excellent cocktails. Incredibly fun, graphic decor. I felt like I was in a cartoon in the best way and not just cuz I stopped at the dispensary on my way over. 10/10 would go again.

The katsu sando is really tasty! It’s probably my favorite dish out of the ones I tried. I also liked the chicken and cauliflower wings, but it felt a bit overpriced for the amount given. The drinks are creative and I loved the pina coming soon. The vibe of the place is also really fun. Overall a good experience!

If you like weird, eclectic and fun, this is the place! Funny and bold decor and prints can be found everywhere inside. It has a hip vibe. The food I think could be more filling and perhaps even punchier but the drinks are great and we had a good time. Oh and they sell their rad prints on shirts if you're interested in cool merch.

Cool place to grab some small shared plates and drinks. Not a place I would recommend for dinner, but rather a fun apertivo. All dishes tried were fantastic, and the drinks were also very well composed, with an atmosphere and playlist to back it up

This place is excellent. Had some work friends in from New York and they loved the food and the whole experience. Shay killed it with the service and is among my favourite servers in Vancouver. Definitely worth checking this place out!

Second time being here. I Came in with a big party and food and cocktails were on point, and service was prompt and food came out in a timely manner. Will always make sure to stop in when I’m in town.

80s vibe and decor is super cool. Staff was extremely friendly and food was pretty good. Inside the restaurant, it's perfectly fine but be wary of homeless people and addicts outside.

Bomb atmosphere. 60s meets 80s almost. They encourage you to share the plates you order, which wasn't hard at all considering how incredible everything tasted. We ordered some dishes a second time, and walked away beyond satisfied. Don't sleep on the cocktail menu either. Thanks again to the staff, both kitchen and front of house. Ya killed it!

What an eccentric spot in Chinatown! The name is deceiving - there’s no pizza but a ton of amazing Japanese dishes. The decor is fun, quirky and nostalgic, and the menu offers a ton of izakaya style items. I had the scallop crudo and was really impressed at the flavors and freshness. Will have to go back to try the rest of the menu!

Really enjoyed the food menu (it's short, but that means they actually work towards each item listed). Drinks were good. As someone sulphite-sensitive and very much a wino, the organic wine menu was much appreciated. The service was friendly.but not clingy- exactly what I look for in a dining experience.

Really love the food, drinks and vibe of this place. A gem of a place. Ume spritz, Miso Eggplant, Daikon salad are some of my favs (I'm mostly veg). Attention to detail and originality of the design in the restaurant makes it a memorable experience.

Great spot for a casual dinner, the soft shell crab was bangin’. Decor is a fun time, music is chill and the staff are super friendly. Dropped one star as I’d like the portions to be a bit bigger for somewhere touted as Vancouver’s answer to ‘Japanese Stoner Food’

My server was quite.cold. I have been here a few times and the food has been relatively inconsistent. The vibe is unmatched and they have an incredible natural wines, and beer list. I will return upon hopes that maybe I have a different server

The photos don’t do this place justice— it’s great! I really liked the vibe and the food was tasty. Our server was also kind and attentive. Make sure to try the eggplant and the pickles.

The female host was unfriendly and the seating was based on favoritism. She was only giving the best seats in the restaurant to Whites and Asians.
I didn't want to leave because it was a rainy evening and was hungry ended up ordering a quick burger and fries but the fries were dry. Anyways, everyone is different as for me, I will never step in that establishment again

Shanese (I’m probably spelling this wrong) was such a treat! We came in for the late night menu and a final cocktail on a night out. The vibe in here is immaculate, and the late night bites hit the spot for us!

A step above pub food. Good venue if you want to chill out with friends. Don’t expect much from the menu though.

I like the vibe. The food is decent. Our server could be a little more friendly. She was very stern and although performed professionally, she was cold and intimidating to approach.

The cocktails were okay, a bit weak or watered down. The sake was also okay.

The food was mediocre at best. The Ton Toro was a bit over cooked, and the half eggplant was somehow bland and extremely salty at the same time. None of the dish has any umami, the flavors were not offensive but undeserving of the high rating IMO. We also feel rushed. We were told the table limit was 2hrs upon arrival. But during the less than 1hr we were there, the server was nice but was obviously trying to get us to finish faster. We felt pressure to chug the last bit of our drinks.

I have been there twice, and have neen impressed both times by the flavour and options. Great spot!

Portion sizes and flavors didn't reflect the price points of the dishes. The eggplant was delicious, everything else we ordered didn't live up to expectations. Ton torro, fried rice & spicy taro root were all underwhelming in one way or another. Not worth the money.

Cool idea of a Japanese snack bar with natural wines and Japanese whisky. Like the aesthetic but the food is pretty horrendous and value is terrible. Yakisoba was sacrilegious, wings too salty, blooming onion disappointing. Save your money

This place I'm going to give it one star due to the fact yeah did not have pizza play man they told me they have a silly name that's it I didn't like that

I am obsessed with Pizza Coming Soon. Their eggplant bowl is just. OUT OF THIS WORLD. I made involuntary noises eating it. I had dreams about it when I got home. I want to bathe in that miso sauce.

The place has a very fun atmosphere and super friendly staff. The food is extremely tasty, to the point where my partner and I ordered more for dinner the next day (two eggplant bowls in a row? Sign me up). The drinks are good and everything is fairly priced. I particularly enjoyed the calpico drink and the oolong highball.

We'll definitely come back often. This is probably my new favourite place in town.
