Pizza maru

Had a great experience at Pizza Maru! Went with my friends for dinner and we all enjoyed everything that we ordered. Amongst the 4 of us we ordered the Rose Spaghetti, Bulgogi Poutine, Korean BBQ Wings, Butter Chicken Pizza with the Garlic Bread Crust and the Holy Honey Sweet Potato. The food came out quickly but was still extremely hot, and it only came out $21 per person before tip. The server Yune was very friendly and kept checking up on our table. Everything tasted so good and was reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

They have a lot of unique toppings that taste great and the service here is amazing. They are super friendly and even gave us a dish for free entirely on the house out of no where that we enjoyed a lot! Definitely going to be coming back here.

Edit: went back again and received another free dish! The servers were super accommodating and very friendly. Simply cannot complain.

Asked to see if the bulgogi poutine could be made without the beef and was told that the poutine would burn without it? Asked if they could just take it out of the oven earlier and they did not want to. Also, unfortunate that none of the other dishes other than some pizzas had vegetarian options.

Definitely should try. Pizza nothing like you would get from any western pizza places. The kinds of topping, sauces, and the amount that goes into these pizzas are incomparable. Might feel a bit greasy/cheesy but they give you salad and pickles so you can start over fresh. The server was also very kind in explaining the pizza that we ordered (Sea World Chicago). Amazing taste and amazing service. This is my second time going but would definitely visit again.

Delicious pizza, seasoned fried chicken, soup. Very nice and helpful staff:). This is our next visit. I highly recommend.

So delicious and addictive. Love the green tea pizza crust they have here. The saucy Signature Shrimpbul is my favourite pizza here.
The Seafood Bay tastes really similar to Shrimpbul but comes second.
The Hawaiian Shrimp is good but a bit too sweet for my liking.

Korean pizza. Something you definitely have to try at least once. A slew of crust and topping options. I can see this popping up in more locations in Vancouver.

If you have never had Korean pizza, this place is a must. The bottle beer is at 4 dollars and their signature menu (sweet potato, bulgogi and shrimbul) marks an excellent start to the weekend. The first bite of this freshly baked pizza will make you the happiest person alive.

First time trying korean pizza, I was curious, I didn't have expectations about it but the holy sweet potato pizza caught my attention.
It was good, a new combination of flavours that you wouldn't expect on a pizza.
For sure you must be super hungry to finish the whole pizza but it was a good experience

The BEST pizza restaurant in Vancouver So many things to share for others

First of all, when I entered the store, I already felt very welcomed by two women who spoke Korean and also English to welcome us. Very smiley:) Makes me even smile more: >

Secondly, as I expected, the food was just perfect! You guys should add GOLD EDGE which makes me so happy
Chicken wings are really juicy Luv it! Pizza was just perfect Hard to explain!

One of favorite pizza shop in downtown area.
Their collection is pretty Korean style pizza which has lots of various topping on top. I personally like shrimp so bad that it was great to have a shrimp bulgogi pizza.
You can change the edge of pizza dough. It's brilliant idea to do that.

The service atmosphere was all excellent, but the pizza was a bit disappointing. It's too sweet and the dough is thin, but the sauce makes it so wet that it's difficult to hold and eat. The server was really friendly!

The seafood pizza we ordered yesterday was delicious, but it was a bit too moist. It made it challenging to pick up a slice by hand, so we ended up having to eat the entire pizza with a fork. Despite that, the flavors were fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

First time trying Korean Pizza because I was curious about their green tea dough. I got the pepperoni pizza and red carbonara toppoki. The toppoki came first and I was surprised that it was pretty big portion. It was a bit too spicy for me. Then later came the pizza, I was expecting to at least taste the green tea flavour but I couldn’t. I felt it’s the same taste as regular dough except it’s more chewy for me. The sauce on the pizza was too salty for me. Also, when I came the place was not busy at all. It was only a couple tables occupied and in my opinion, service could be better and more attentive as I had to ask for menu, to order, ask for spoon, napkin, pizza box, and bill.

If you are interested or missing a taste of korean pizza. This spot will be your to go place!

I ordered it through Uber Eats today and went to pick it up late because I had work to do. They kept it warm until I picked it up, so I was able to enjoy it even when I got home without having to heat it up. The pizza with sweet potato cheese strings was so delicious.
Spaghetti and potato pizza were the Korean flavors I missed! I want to try other menu items next time!

I liked the food here the only thing that made me gave them a 3 stars is the service i wish they are more attentive and not biased towards a non korean customer
