1 year update: The gym is getting overcrowded. They need to cap it. In a market like Kelowna they can actually benefit from two Planet Fitness centers.

5pm and it's a Zoo in here and yet they keep on signing more people up. Need that profit. Quantity over quality any day, right?

So far so good. $26 for black card a month is very reasonable.

Taking two stars off as the planet fitness app shows so many perks and yet it's not available in Canada at all. It's only for the US. They need to do something about that.

PS: 20% off on the Reebok website is only for the US and not CA.

Its taken me a long time to step out of my comfort zone and want to get healthy again. The staff at Planet Fitness who helps register, I believe her name is Nauv.provides the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She has a very angry tone, rolls her eyes, snaps at you and is very unpleasant. Our first experience for the trial was awful, she was so rude to the four of us who wanted to try out the gym. We asked for a tour she told us to tour ourselves.and when we tried to test the black spa ammenities she aggressively yelled at us and told us we were not allowed to be there. How were we to know?
Regardless we decided to register the next day. Upon arrival, the experience was no better. She continued to be snappy, lack of information. When we asked about how the guest pass works and how the ammenities work it seemed we were a nuisance to her for asking these questions. I gave her the benefit of the doubt maybe she is just tired. But when I went back to ask another question she rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. At the point, I give up. Me building up the strength to better myself only to get beat down at the front door is crazy. The other staff are quite nice, it was just that one woman. I hope you learn to practise kindness to your future customers. It can make a difference in someone's day.

Edit to add: Morning staff were AWESOME very positive and professional! LITERALLY NIGHT AND DAY!

PROS: Membership ranges from $15-$25 a month.
Large facility with tons of cardio/strength equipment.
Best change rooms I’ve seen!
TON of extra amenities.
The buddy pass is great too.
Super friendly staff.

CONS: Dumbbells only go to 75lb.
No regular squat rack, only smith machines.

OVERALL: Sign up if you want all the new equipment and if you don’t like waiting for machines. Worth the $$$

Update: Gym has been dirtier (dusty machines) & equipment out of order signs everyday. Still a really nice gym and worth the $, hopefully gets a bit cleaner and for the machines to get fixed sooner than later

Edit: new manager was quite rude today. To busy on phone to help out customers when the only employee out there was doing their best to help 7+ people out. Mega yikes

Honestly went for the price but membership got terminated and the staff is unclear on telling me why. They are undertrained and the worst to deal with. They said I took pictures which I never have but everyone else does but if the staff looked up they good see 7 people taking pictures. Poorly managed place. Also I just paid my monthly fee before I was terminated and had the next month's free from referring some one. Good work planet fitness.

An amazing deal for what you get. Everytime I have been there it has been clean. There is enough cardio machines that you are rarely ever beside someone.
Minus one star because I, like others, hate that the entire mall can watch you workout. I avoid the far left side of the gym because of it. It can make people feel very uncomfortable when they stop and stare through the windows. Perhaps adding some shaded windows would really make it better

Kennedy girl from the front desk has not been so friendly and welcoming as an associate that work at planet fitness, unlike the others who has been so energetic and friendly to us. She always throw an attitude which we don’t find very nice at all.

First and last time I’ll go to this gym… check your contracts closely as they tell you that you can cancel at anytime without penalties if you sign up for the “black membership “ but they forget to tell you about the non refundable yearly fee that you can’t cancel 3 days after taking it out of your account… just another cash grab for then with already overpriced memberships for what the gym actually offers unless you like doing only cardio … I would not recommend this gym simply in the lack of customer service provided by both the gym itself and the soppier from customer service you can’t even talk to … only email access…

I am planning to get a mnthly membership today but i wanna see first the equipment inside and accomodation. I ask the girl staff with she has color in her hair and she said quote" UNFORTUNATELY you need to register in our system and assist you". So i ask her ljke this, so you cant accompany me? And she said Yes and no sorry even. In my opinion in husiness like that you need to give an effort to attract more costumers. I am new here in Kelowna and i usually go to gym 5 or 6 times a week and im looking for the affordable gym as possible and i see the planet fitness is the cheapest one and looks so clean and lots of equipment but i am very dissapointed because of the attitude of the staff.

Place is a joke terminate my membership for being friendly? You say one thing but I don't even take pictures in the gym just a bunch of haters working at a place that says hate isnt tolerated. Staff is undertrained and stupid place is bad do not advise going there.

Large facility with more than enough equipment in number and variety to meet most fitness enthusiast's and even athlete and/or competitor needs.

Friendly staff, PF app makes everything so easy, no need to remember a pass as it's already on your phone. Price can't be beat with all the extra perks included as a black card member and the crowd meter app is super handy tracking busy/ quiet times to work out.

This gym suits my needs very well! Great staff, nice gym. There many gyms in Kelowna find the one that fits your goals. Planet Fitness have shown me nothing but great things. Love the staff! Go Get It! Get those goals in 2023

A very affordable option when it comes to working out. The staff is absolutely kind and friendly. A lot of cardio equipment. The spa zone is awesome!

It's cheap but it's.cheap. Tiny washrooms and almost nowhere to sit or put stuff while changing clothes. Also 1 water source that takes about 2 minutes to fill a small water bottle. Staff are very friendly but know almost nothing about the equipment in the gym. That's not a slam on then but a lack of training my the company.

I love planet fitness it's a great space to workout without feeling judged or awkward and the massage chairs are amazing. I do think they need to workshop having people sign up for stuff in the spa so it flows a bit nicer.

This is a beautiful gym. Stunning, really. And for the price of either the "standard" or "plus" plans, it's really a steal.

However, this gym has 0 squat racks, nor bench-press rack. I fully understand that Planet Fitness is deemed a "beginner friendly" gym, but the exclusion of these pieces of equipment is a bit of a farce, and the ONLY reason I won't be signing up - a shame too.

I hope the owners reconsider, you have plenty enough space! I'll be the first to sign up when you do.

I really like this gym. Clean and Affordable with new equipment. That being said I am not a fan of paying to be a SeaMonkey for everyone in the mall. I find that for a place that is supposed to be a judgement free zone I really dislike the judgement zone that is the mall. I'm paying to be there judgement free. I don't need people watching my oversized body sweating it out. Please fix this i bet a LOT of people wont even sign up due to those windows.

I have a new favorite gym!
I just started working out here and so far I'm very impressed. The gym is well laid out, well maintained, always clean and has lots of equipment. The staff have all been friendly and helpful. I have yet to use them but I love that there is massage chairs, massage tables and tanning or infrared booths available.
I love that this gym stresses inclusivity, discourages elitism and has a great set of rules to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Took one star off but I am being admittedly hypercritical, the shower heads suck. But the change rooms are nice, spacious and have always been clean.

Always clean facilities, staff are friendly, its affordable and never crowded. I love working out here.
