Reasonable prices. Make sure that you check ahead of time that the person on staff that knows your sport is going to be on site otherwise you'll be at the mercy of staff that may know less than you.
We're pleased to say that we found what we're looking for at Play It Again Sports. Vido ensured we felt at ease and found what we're looking for as we weren't sure what to look for in ice skates. He was supportive of us in our efforts to understand and find the right skates. Thanks for your hard work, Vido! 5-stars today!
Time and time again, the guys impress. Excellent rates for rentals. Great new items like snowpants, gloves and masks at half the cost of regular shops. Great trade in service. Bring it down, if they can sell it, they will! I feel like Vitto might as well be part of our family at this rate! Thank you guys!
I went to buy a new snowboard last week. Staff is really helpful, competent and friendly! Great deals and the place is pretty nice! I'll definitely come back again!
Awesome spot with stellar deals on sporting gear! The staff were super helpful and offered a number of options for what I was looking for, and there was a great selection of gear available.
Visited store today to get lacrosse elbow pads for my daughter. Lacrosse section was closed off. Employees said it wasn't accessible.seriously? Neither of them offered to go up and look. Terrible customer service.
I don’t shop here and do not recommend. I brought in a brand new item. Used once. They made me an offer and I laughed and asked for my item back. It was in amazing condition. Within the season they would be selling for, and sell it for the absolute maximum price. They give you pennies for what your stuff is actually worth. You are better to go on Facebook marketplace.
This place literally saves my life sometimes. They don't pay much but enough to get sonething you are in need of or at least a littke something back from what you initially paid for the sports item.
It is definetly understood why they cant pay great, its because they need to make enough to survive and pay workers, plus they turn around and sell alost every thing in there at an amazingly fair or super cheap price to the kids, and that is the whole purpose!
Terrible customer service. I wanted to ask a question of the staff, 5 of the staff were behind the counter chatting and not one moved to assist us. Instead they pointed and continued their conversations and the staff out numbered the customers, in the store. The pricing was not clear and the stock was not organized, we had to route threw the items and interrupt staff to ask simply questions.
Best sport store around. Rental prices are very reasonable. Great selection of high quality equipment. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. Had the pleasure of being helped by vitto who was not only extremely friendly but his customer service was exceptional. Very refreshing in this day and age. Love this place, will be getting all my rentals from here
Really good service, I have been renting skis last winter and bikes and paddle board this spring pretty good price for high end equipment. I’m highly recommend it!
Young people really friendly even if they aren't certain of the specs on gear. Watched a woman customer be completely rude to a clerk and they handled her with such poise that I wanted to write a review commending the young woman clerk. People have no right to be so nasty. Glad to see the next generation able to conduct themselves with class.
Weird, as soon as I walked in they started asking me exactly what I needed, I’ve never been there before so I wanted to look around. I didn’t realize I was going to be asked exactly why I was there and what bike sizes I needed. It felt like they basically had ‘nothing’ for me and shouldn’t have even been there in the first place. WILL NEVER COMEBACK OR RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE UNLESS THEY KNOW EACH AND EVERYONE OF THESE GOOFS
Quality new and used sports equipment and apparel sold here. They buy your used stuff also. Check out their website for all they offer and their services. Covid-19 may affect theirs hours of operation as rules could change. You can always call to find current hours of operation. They are friendly and helpful. Handy location.
Great prices! I rented for 3 days, staff was very helpful as I'm a beginner skier and explained my options and pros and cons for each ski and boot. Way cheaper than renting at big white, highly recommend!
Went in to check out the disc golf disc collection. If your in kelowna and wanting to find some locally. This is a pretty good place for it. Quite a few to choose from.
We have purchased two bikes from them at different times and both times the staff went above and beyond to make absolutely sure that we were satisfied. Bravo!
Ive always had good service at play it again sports and the items ive purchased have all been great and fairly priced. My sons bike was stolen and i couldn't remember make or model or date of purchase. Mike took time out of his busy day to go thru days of records to find when i purchased it can gave me serial number and make so i could report it! Thank you mike! Highly recommend this store
Great place to shop for used sports gear. Its a great concept and staff is very knowledgeable. We also rented our ski gear there. Very good quality. Will definitely go back.
These people are always helpful. My daughter has a difficult foot to fit ski boots but they were patient and eventually found a suitable fit. Despite being short on season rental gear they provided some new gear for a great deal. Been here before and will come back again!
It was that time of year again for new hockey skates and helmet, I just spent over $200 at Sport Check this year as I refused to go back to play it again sports. We have tried them twice in the past and their employees barely acknowledged us when we went in, there was stuff everywhere, and we had no.help from the staff. I wouldn't shop there again unfortunately as kids grow so fast, the idea makes sense, if only it was better run.
This place is a joke. I came in twice in one week to look at bikes and was willing to spend a fair amount. Both times I walked around the store for over twenty minutes and staff literally didn't even acknowledge me once even though they walked by me a few times. I was clearly looking at bikes and I dont know a lot so Im sure I would have bought something if someone had actually helped me and given me information.
Probably the only place in town to rent bikes for a good price. Wife and I rented two mountain bikes for $40 a day. There was a pretty steep deposit, but that was ok. They actually let you keep the bike for a good 24 hours, which was very nice since we were doing the entire rail trail to Vernon and back. Anyways, the only hiccup was our deposit somehow was locked up and wasn't refunded. I contacted the store owner via Facebook and the phone, and they eventually got all that taken care of and then some! I highly recommend renting bikes here. Kelowna has made the entire thing a pain in the rear, and many businesses have stopped doing that. I'm glad there is still one business in town that is renting out bikes. You can also rent out e-bikes too.
Play It Again has three types of electric-assist bikes, and we rented four from them for 24 hours. We embarked on our first journey, and during the ride, one bike got a flat. We called the guys at Play It Again, they sent a repair crew, and changed the tire tube for us quickly, so we could continue our bike trip. The bikes themselves had a nice boost when in the highest-assist mode, and were really fun. They made the commute fast (20mph), and the customer service at Play It Again was top notch.
I bought my bike here a few years ago. And I received above and beyond service then - they installed my new seat, showed me how to register my bike, etc.
Well this year it needed a major service. I took it in, had them do the service and replace both tire tubes (one had blown). Everything was great until one of the tubes deflated. I was so worried about having to bring it back. But I was completely surprised when they replaced the defective tube for me no problems! They did a troubleshoot, talked to me about what the causes could be, and then fixed it right there while I was in the shop with no wait. It was perfect!
My husband will be buying his next bike there, I will be getting all of my services done there, and when our little little is ready for a bike and sports gear she'll get that stuff from there too. Play It Again Kelowna has made us lifelong customers.
They are making 70% off ever sale people! Open your eyes, you're been mislead. He's pillaging you all. Plus he can't even file t4s or ROEs for his employees. Terrible boss. Been over a month and he can't get me my ROE so I can move on from this place.
A friend and I had our skis stolen last December, and believed that the thieves may try to sell them to Play It Again. My friend went to Play It Again and spoke with a manager about our stolen skis. He told him the make of the skis, their sizes and the make of the bindings. The manager then told us that he would alert the rest of the staff and ensured that they would watch out for our skis and that it would not be necessary for us to check regularly ourselves and they would call if anything turned up. Three months later in March, I received a call from the police saying that they recovered my skis. I went to RCMP to identify the skis, and when they were returned to me, I asked how they were recovered, and he said they were found at Play It Again Sports, and my skis were handed back to me with a $249.99 Play It Again price tag stuck to it. I understand that Play It Again Sports receives several skis throughout the season, however, I would not be angry with them if the manager didn't take on a responsibility he could not handle, telling us that there was no need for us to visit the store regularly ourselves and that they could be trusted to report stolen merchandise. Instead, the thief walked right into the store, and Play It Again Sports ignorantly purchased stolen skis with no questions asked. The next time we spoke with management staff, they avoided the topic and tried to brush it off, and offered no apology.
