Poke Fresh

Supposed to be celiac friendly but there was pieces of crab meat (with gluten) contaminating multiple other items. When confronting the staff about it they told me not to worry about it

My sister and I went to get Poke while she was visiting. She got the veggie bowl and I got the bonanza bowl. Both were filling and the ingredients tasted fresh.

Great second time here, but we were fooled by your promo for two-for-one pokiTO bowls…missed the TO and didn’t realize that we had to get the tiny size, or that they even existed (they’re not on the menu).

Such a fresh and delicious spot for a healthy bite to eat! I like that I can build my own bowl and that it’s a locally owned restaurant.

Best Poke in town! Staff are always friendly and food is as fresh as it can be.
PS. Hawaiian bowl is a go to.

Worst experience ever (of course by uber). They accepted my order and then an hour later they denied it and sent "delivery failed" and that is because of this restaurant refusing. Poorly run businesses right here and everything closes early in Vic so now I have no dinner for the night. So upset.

On top of this, I called uber to discuss and they hung up on me. Clearly it is them more than the restaurant. But the restaurant should probably not use their service either.

Awesome locally owned option with fresh seafood, ingredients, and fun staff! I've been eating here since they opened a few years back and I have yet to be disappointed. Definitely sign up for their points program. It's worth it!

Giving a five because it's better than a 4 and the only reason not a full 5 is third time in last couple years you were out of white rice, I suppose because I came closer to end of day (but one time was mid-day). It's quite an integral ingredient and had I known I wouldn't have come but I was hungry so ordered anyway. Also marinated tuna, shouldn't that be marinated not plain and mixed on the spot with sauce (2nd time for that). Staff are great and otherwise very fresh ingredients.

Great poké and reasonably priced! I think to simply things filling out a check list of all the toppings and sauces would be much more efficient for everyone.

I ordered Bonanza Bowl and my partner another bowl from the menu and the Pokes got no taste. It's more a salad. And they poorly add some salmon. I'm never going back there. I recommend Poke Island it is more tasty and they are more generous!

Poke Fresh is the best Poke spot on Vancouver Island. The staff are super friendly and attentive and the food is incredibly Fresh.

I usually go with a Custom Poke bowl with extra tuna (for only $1.50 more.) The portions are huge to a point that my take away lid could barely close.
You should go.

I have ordered several times from this restaurant and it seems to get even better every time. The food is so fresh and absolutely delicious. If you haven't tried Poke Fresh yet.it is a must:)

Ordered a large bowl and reg bowl online for pick up. Got home and both bowls were reg. Rice was dry and hard. Wouldn't go there again.

High quality ingredients and consistently delicious- plus you get great discounts regularly when you sign up for the free discount program. Owner is a mensch and the business is run very well- good vibes!

Fresh Tasty ingredients, delicious marinated tuna. My wife enjoyed this dish the most as she is very picky with rice and all was perfect! Many varieties of toppings etc.to choose from. My Son who is not a Poke eater enjoyed the bowl as well. Excellent friendly staff!

Everything was great, service, price, packaging, but. I would recommend using better or rather the correct rice! Sushi rice makes better poke. Long grain rice that you're using is more for East Indian cooking, it's long grain and tends to be a bit dryer. Sushi rice is short grain, has more moisture and plumper. Check out the other poke place in town, they've got their poke done right. Otherwise would definitely come again cause I love the toppings selection.

I've ate here a couple of times now. The staff were friendly, food was fine if a bit pricey. Lots of gluten free options.

Excellent service - absolutely top notch. The poke was good, but every member of my group found that the sauces lacked flavor. Between us, we had shoyu, ponzu, miso, wasabi, and sriracha, but none had any oomph. Even the crab salad and wakame were oddly bland.

It's not often that we venture out to Cook St Village but we headed there specifically to get a Poke Fresh fix and it did not disappoint! We had a Classic Bowl (classically delicious) and a Broke Da Mouth Bowl (like a symphony of flavours in my mouth!) and they were both so stuffed full of fresh ingredients. I love that they serve Oceanwise seafood and look for local produce! Super clean restaurant and fun, friendly staff, and then a neat outdoor seating area where you can watch the village bustle too. A definite winner!

These are literally the best Poke bowls I've ever had, and as they're my favourite food, I have eaten a ton! Better than in Hawaii!

Great service, friendly staff and amazing food. I love Poke Fresh! I am honestly shocked with the couple of bad reviews I've seen for the cook st village location. I eat here at least a couple times a week and have had nothing but constancy, good portions, fresh ingredients and the place is always clean.
I would highly recommend this spot.

Happened upon Poke Fresh while out looking for some take out. So good, so fresh, fabulous staff, friendly. Love the way the menu boards read.easy and clear steps on the build your own.that's what we got. This will be high, possibly top of our list of go to! Yummy!

Great service and friendly staff. We love the classic bowl, especially on those hot summer days, when you don’t want to cook.

The place is welcoming and the staff are friendly without being too familiar. If you are looking for a healthy, fresh and filling meal, then this is the spot to eat. I had the Classic Bowl and the Kevita Master Brew Kombucha. There are Gluten Free options available. They also source Oceanwise ingredients. The Classic bowl had a kick to it, which I loved and the veggies were fresh and tastey. They also have Açai Bowls, which I will try next time! This place is a definite success!

Had the Hawaiian bowl medium and I was impressed with the portion size considering I'm a big eater. Tasted great, well laid out, happy with there sustainable approach. Price initially seemed high, but I realized its relative to today's market and the quality of food your getting. Very happy with the service, and how quickly I got my food. Definitely will stop in again.
